You aren't the Master of Time until you beat the game as Kid Link.

Old Man KB You aren't the Master of Time until you beat the game as Kid Link. *Raises hand.* And burned my deku shield at the first opportunity I got.

That's the way MEN do it.
With three hearts and everything.

Unfortunately you can't do a lot of the game as kid link, it just doesn't let you (unless there's some cheat/glitch to be kid link in adult link areas... but even then it'd probably break the game somewhere) so instead you have to improvise.
Artificial difficulty is the way men play games.
Kid Link with your shield burned and three hearts. Adult Link only using the broken Medigoron Knife.
I beat the game with that thing. It does half the damage of the Master sword, has half the range, and doesn't let you use a shield.

Yeah. It's deceptively hard to play that game when you willingly give yourself disadvantages. Same with trying to beat the original Zelda with three hearts.
I read somewhere you can get across the Gerudo Desert as Kid Link though. There's an entire community dedicated to exploiting and hacking OoT, so that you can do all manner of completely ridiculous things. A lot of it you can do without adding any outside data.

Old Man KB I read somewhere you can get across the Gerudo Desert as Kid Link though. Well, you can because that's part of the game. You use the warp song to travel to the desert temple and do the portion as kid Link where you fight the Armos and get the Mirror Shield. I dunno about going back the other way though because frankly I've never tried.

I mean before you even navigate the wasteland with the eye of truth, and stuff like that. People memorize the route so they can just leave the Kokiri Woods, and then head across the Desert and... I don't even know what they do.
Just like people jack up the Golden Scale from the Hyrule Lake Fishing Shop waaaay before they should, as Kid Link.

Well they'd need to have a way of getting across the chasm first. As kid Link you can't cross the bridge, and you can't jump it even with a chicken. As for the golden scale I'd always thought that they didn't have that to give you until you're adult link. There's trying to break the game, and there's playing it on hard mode. They are not the same thing. Like how you can warp into the volcano as kid Link.

How do I hit the miniboss poe in the central room of the forest temple? The one that splits into four poes? It keeps blocking all my sword/hookshot attacks with it's torch.
