I already met the guy once
he's creepy and I have no desire to speak to him again
I'm trying to confirm if they've even SEEN the cat recently but the guy is out of town right now apparently
here's what I think happened
my mom had her boyfriend take it to the guys house
they dumped it in his backyard
it maybe hung around for a day or two
when the rains hit it wandered off
probably died
alternatively
my mom gave the cat to her boyfriend
he in turn took it to the pound to be killed and lied about ever taking it to his friends house
probably the former but the later wouldn't surprise me one bit
either way I'm pretty much assuming it's dead by now

x< I'd see if I could file a police report. That's BS.
If nothing else, I'd find out if that would be plausible and if you could get any form of compensation out of it.
It won't replace the cat, but it might help you feel a bit better knowing that it was at least somewhat avenged.

I wouldn't feel any better doing that
I don't want to file a police report on my mom
I just want nothing to do with her
there's still the possibility the cat is around and it's just taking forever to get him back because the world sucks
I don't really have any hope for it but it still is a possibility

I probably would have done the same thing if someone screwed me over and then tried to give me a gift neutral
So, my grandma totally disappeared from 2:00 PM yesterday until about 7:00 this morning. We have no idea where she was and all she'll say is 'I went to dinner with a friend' - though said friend had 0 recollection of any of this when we called him looking for her.
We got a call at 11:45 last night from some friends she was SUPPOSED to meet freaking out because she never showed, wasn't home, and wasn't answering her cell.
Wtf?

We figured it out this morning. She WAS with the guy when he was called, she was apparently just extremely irritated at the chicks that were calling around and decided not to deal with them- so he said she wasn't there. Apparently they went to play cards after going out to dinner.
