New update.
Apparently all smoking poses, even from Cash Shop items, will be taken out within the next two weeks.
No source from that quote, but if anyone has Ebenezers or Gambinos you better capitalize on it ASAP.

If they got rid of they're general tobacco items, and now they are getting rid of them all forever, s**t will be raised in the SF.

s**t already is being raised in the SF.
It's funny, 'cause users are getting their posts deleted and warnings for 'trolling' just for saying they will help get a reason for the prohibition in Monday's Ask the Admins thread, but the people flaming legitimate protest threads are getting off scot-free.
Also, legality issues have been brought up; cigarette advertising is an incredibly touchy subject when it comes to bylaws. I did my own research and in all technicality Gaia is allowed to have cigarettes as long as they are not advertising a specific brand. However, Gaia will probably pull some random legal mumbo jumbo in an effort to satisfy the stupidest of us.
