Before Matt could get far, something then grabbed him by his shoulder.
"Matt... Don't blame yourself for what happened." Demi sighed, looking at him somberly.
"Believe me when I say this, because I was in the same position as Rachel is right now.. There's nothing worse than knowing someone is beating themselves up over something they shouldn't. So please... For her sake and your's, forgive yourself from whatever faults you put upon yourself. You did nothing wrong."

Matt looked back at her, but his eyes were different. Dead, empty and soulless. After a pause, he only moved forward, leaving Demi where she was.
