Kaida sighed as she thought, frowning and focusing. All she felt was a tug. "I don't really see anything..." She said slowly. "My neck is burning there where he bit me, I see him growling...But I can't see clearly. I was too afraid as a human. I was afraid. Pain. Immense pain. His smile when I awoke..." Kaida sighed and shook her head. "They're just memories, I dunno what I'm s'posed to be seeing." She told him.

"Focus the burning. Can you feel what its trying to do, if it is telling you anything? Like why your neck is burning? Ignore the pain, ignore the growl, ignore the fear. Erase the human you once were." he asked, glancing at Echo to make sure she was fine. Then held out his hand for her to join him.

Kaida frowned. "It burns... because he turned me. But now, because he wants to make me act like newborn. He doesn't want a child... He's acting so mean towards me... so cold." Kaida couldn't focus, burying her head in her arms.

Talon hissed at her. "FOCUS, Kaida. Focus past your emotions, your thoughts! What is the burn telling you?! Why does it burn? A mating mark does not burn unless something is wrong. Listen to it. Your mating mark that Kale gave you is telling you something. Kale's is most likely doing the same thing, but he's purposely ignoring it. But you, you ARE a newborn. You don't know our ways. You don't know how to listen to your instincts, or your mark. Yes you have control of your blood lust but that is just the first step in learning to be a vampire. Your instincts is what you must learn and master, you must listen to what you've accepted that night when you gave up your humanity. You are not a human anymore. You are a vampire. Act like it. Focus on your bond, learn what is wrong then go to Kale and fix it together." he hissed at her once more then stood up, going back to his mate.
"You have forced Kale into acting on fixing the bond alone. He did not choose to do this on purpose. He is your mate yet you defy his lessons and ignore his counsel preferring his body over his words. And you wonder why he won't give you the child you desire. You are not ready to be a mother and as long as you act this way, you will never grow out of being a newborn." Having Echo in his arms, he glanced back at her.
"The more you force him to go against his instincts to strengthen the bond and teach you our ways, the more he will revert to his old self. Before he met you, he was like he is now and he will only get worse. He is treating you like a vampire, not a newborn and you are not ready for that as you've seen back at the house. He will feed from you then have you fend for yourself. This is how a male vampire will act when his mate is no longer a newborn, allowing the female the chance to fend for herself without his help.
You will not survive him if you continue to ignore what you've become, he will destroy you and soon destroy himself afterwards. Let go of Kaida, the human. Embrace Kaida the vampire. You choose this when you first laid with Kale, now face it. The bond you made was strong when it was first created, like my bond with Echo. But as the days went by, it got weaker because you ignored your vampire instincts, ignored the bond you started. Kale should have never let you complete the bond until you have matured. Now you will both suffer, if you truly want the man you've mated to return. Focus and fix it with him, together."

Kaida looked at him with a blank expression. She was confused for the most part, and said nothing. Now it seemed like everyone was mad at her. But...
She stood and ignored Talon and his mate. She wasn't ready for a child because was a newborn, yet Echo was one. She said nothing as she walked aimlessly for some time. She bumped into himans as she was walking through the town, but said nothing as she just kept walking along the sidewalk. Other than thirst control she didn't know how else she was acting like a newborn. Everntually her feet led her to the small house. Kale's presence was in it. Opening the door she stepped inside. Kale was in the living room. She went by him, not daring to look at his eyes. She dropped to her knees and revealed her neck to him... by instinct knowing it was power and control. '. Kale should have never let you complete the bond until you have matured.' He said. So Kaida was giving it back. She didn't want it if this was the outcome. 'You are not ready to be a mother' Also echoed in her mind, and that killed her the most.

Kale stared at her blankly. "What are you doing, mate? I am not hungry right now." his voice was just as cold as earlier, no hint of malic or emotion, just cold. Then he caught the scent of Talon on her and frowned. "What did the b*****d tell you? Did he tell you about his mate or something? Explain why she was able to receive his child? Is that why you are suddenly submitting to me?"

Kaida closed her eyes and flinched at his words. Unmoving, she swallowed and said, "No... I chose to submit. I... I'm sorry. I have been foolish, I should never have taken you like that until I was mature. And... and until I am, I don't want anything from you. Not a child, not sex... nothing. You can take me as you please, I will not say a word. I..." She didn't really know what to say, and the words coming out of her mouth probably didn't make sense at all. She was actually apologixing for him ever mating her, and afraid he regretted it.

Kale sighed and pulled her up from the ground and had her sit beside him, wrapping his arms around her comfortingly. "Talon needs to mind his own business. You don't need to listen to him, mate. You maturing takes time, I don't think you can handle 300 years of time without being with me in bed. Your instincts won't allow it. As for your mark, I allowed you do it. While I should have waited I didn't, for I believed that you would feel our bond if I did." he lifted her chin softly. "Thats what Talon wanted isn't it? He wanted you to feel our bond. To know its meaning. He doesn't remember how hard it was i suppose to work at keeping a bond strong. We are working at ours, and we'll do it our own way. In time, you will feel the bond and understand the mark. However, we cannot return what is already apart of our souls. We are one Kaida, we cannot reverse that."

Kaida allowed him to move her, and as a result looked into his eyes. Those eyes, they were soft and not cold... the eyes of the man she fell in love with. The eyes of her mate. She didn't want to wait 300 years for maturing, but she knew that she wouldn't lay with him every night... that would change. She bit her bottom lip as her fangs protruded. She did not try to hide this anymore. Talon was right at that, she wasn't human. She did need to stop acting like one. Closing her eyes, she took a shaky breath before she looked up at Kale. "Do you regret it...?" She asked him in a whisper. She mulled over the thought of being 'one'. It was a lot to swallow.

"Why would I regret mating you?" Kale asked surprised. "You're just harder to...train I suppose is the word a human would use, but its different than training for us. You are one of the newborns that can't give up who they were, whether consciously or unconsciously."

"Regret because I'm one of the stubborn ones. Because I can't always keep you happy..." She told him, listening. Even in her human life she had been stubborn, so there was no surprise that it was the same for this world.

Echo held onto Talon's arms. "Why was I able to have your child?" Echo asked not really understanding and curious. She rested her head on his chest, wondering if he looked the same before he became a vampire, She wondered if she looked the same before the change. "What if Kaida was a Godparent, not a religious one, just someone to help raise a child. I knew a woman who had two kids she considered her own, because she helped raise them." Echo wondered if it was a stupid idea, but she wanted to put something out there that could help.

"Ever consider that your stubbornness is one of the reasons I fell in love with you?" Kale stated calmly.
Talon glanced at her and chuckled. "You may not understand or know this quiet yet, but I am not an ordinary vampire. Neither is Kale, but he's not in the same position as I am. For some reason, ever since I was turned, I was able to impregnate women whenever I lay with them. I have had to watch many of my own children die by their mothers hands because I was not aware of it for a while, but then I began to figure it out and stopped laying with women. I made a promise to myself to never lay with a woman unless she was my mate. I had a mate before you a long time ago, she was pregnant after 50 years of our mating, I having to be careful not to do so before then so we could work on the bond, she was already a vampire but building and strengthening a bond takes a while, the child almost ready to birth. Then while I was away, she was taken. By the time I arrived to retrieve her, she was dead along with my unborn child. The reason why I have given you a child is because I am confident in my knowledge of my previous mating and I feel I can handle both you as a newborn vampire and a child. But now you can see why I was so against turning you after what happened with my previous mate." he explained gently. He scooped her up in his arms and began to walk.
"A Godparent for the child huh? I will not object to this, however, you and I are the only ones to look after the child for the first 2 months. Vampire children...are not like human children. They are much more vicious than a newborn grown up vampire like you. They need to be taught by the parents alone, the ones they will not attack at anytime, and quickly before the two months are up. Only then, can Kaida aide you and me with raising the child. The vampire child's behavior is one reason why Kaida and Kale are not ready to breed. Kale needs to focus first on his mate, then he can be free to breed."

Echo listened, remembering when Talon had mentioned not being with someone in 500 years. "Do you still have any other children?" Echo asked, wrapping her arms loosly around his neck when he picked her up. She was curious about Talon's previous mate, but wasnt going to ask because she didnt want to be nosy.
"What do Vampire children do?" She asked, wanting to know what to expect.
