Alice hugged her knees to her chest, of all the things she has yet to experience, witnessing a friend begin kidnapped wasn't one she hoped to happen. Why would someone kidnap him? Did they want his pancakes as well? They were really good...
Hearing Jun frantically discuss what should be done, Alice tried to think out of the box. She thought back to when she first met the dynamic duo. "Were would Aidan NOT want be?" She asked Jun, hopefully he would help name the city that escaped her brain. It wasn't much and could be totally wrong but it was a start.
Kadaj sat by Alice's feet, he batted at a pen she had dropped on the floor. His little tail swished back and forth in excitement. Alice soon took the pen away from him and began scribbling on her note pad. She tried anything to keep her mind off of what could possibly be happening to poor Aidan. Her cheeks turned a little pink.

Robin got up and shuffled outside following the other. She really didn't want to battle, she just wanted to got back to her room and sleep the rest of her life away. Robin didn't notice Luffy hop off of the counter and follow her out of the pokemon center with a curious look on his face. When the reached a clear area Robin stopped a distance away. Her hands were stuffed in her pockets and she already looked somewhat defeated, she certainly felt defeated all ready.
"Hmm, let us have a one on one battle two pokemon each." The buggy eyed man said, he was eying Luffy who was standing a few feet away from Robin. The redhead just nodded glumly and fiddled with a pokeball that rested on her waist. Nodding the buggy eyed and stringy haired man tossed out his own pokeball. Out of his popped a cute looking Girafarig that stomped around the field.
Normally Robin would have loved to see such a cute pokemon as her opponent but she wasn't exactly normal right now. Behind her Luffy made a loud cooing sound at the sight of the cool half and half pokemon. A little surprised Robing looked back to see a fully healed Luffy standing behind her. "Do you want to battle Luffy?" She asked tiredly, and somewhat hopefully. Unfortunately the little Ambipom's face turned a bit serious and he gave a glare at Robin. He would be staying by her side because she was his Nakama, that did not mean he would battle with her though. Seeing that Luffy would not battle for her Robins shoulders slumped and she tossed the pokeball that had been in her hand out. Popping out in a bit of shining light Brook appeared on the field. The small Hoppip looked up and saw the huge, to him, Girafarig stomping around. The cowardly flying/grass type pokemon let out a startled cry and looked back to his peppy trainer for some confidence. Unfortunatly he wouldn't be getting any from her, Robin seemed to have lost all of her normal peppy never ending confidence.
"A Hoppip? I wanted to battle against your Sinnoh pokemon. Anyway Girafarig use your Stomp and smash that pokemon into the ground."
Brook wasn't paying much attention to the battle, he was more concerned that Robin seemed to already be defeated. Looking over to the side he spotted what he thought was Luffy, he was wearing Hat but he seemed different. Well Luffy or not he seemed to be irritated with his trainer. Robin needed to snap out of it, her body wouldn't grow into a beautiful woman's that he could ogle if she was depressed. It was right about then when he felt the pain of Girafarigs hooves as they smashed into his tiny body.

Nereus' two red bulbous...things began to glow and the Tentacool shot a line of transparent yellow rings at the weed Pokemon. He watched with amusement as the rings hit her dead in the face, causing her to wobble a bit.
"Use Absorb again Oddish!" Bikini growled in frustration. She stomped her feet in the sand and puffed out her red cheeks.
The little Oddish would have listened to her command if she weren't too busy tripping over her own feet and smashing her face into the gritty sand. After pulling her leafy head out of the sand, the world around her was a blur and she fell back onto her butt, eyes swirling.
The Tentacool was liking this battle so far, he barely had to lift a finger...er, tentacle.
"Use Poison Sting." Junko told her Pokemon, a little disinterested. The Oddish seemed to be doing the work for her. Even though Poison Sting wouldn't be very effective, it was all he had for the moment.
The water-poison type used its two tentacles to hurl its jelly body into the air above the plant. Doing an unnecessary twirl in the air, he shot out a barrage of little purple poison darts.
Oddish was too confused to realize what exactly was happening. It seemed that running around in circles wasn't helping when the darts smacked the poor grass Pokemon square in the face. The impact of the attack flipped the Pokemon through the the air and she tumbled through the sand, landing at her trainers feet. Not having any arms, she struggled a bit to get back to her feet. Once face to face with the Tentacool again, she almost doubled over back into the sand.
"Ah!, Oh no!" Bikini realized that the last attack was just too much for her precious plant. She could tell that the Oddish would no longer be able to battle and she recalled her weed. She had one other Pokemon ready for use and she threw the ball to the ground in petulance.
This time a little Abra appeared. It didn't really look ready for battle at all, in fact it seemed to be dozing off.
"Ouch," Junko said to the black haired girl, "This doesn't really seem to be your day, does it?" She chuckled to herself a bit, knowing that she still had Hades up her sleeve, with a big advantage over the psychic type.
"Use Shock Wave!" Bikini yelled, getting worked up again.
"Shock Wave!?" exclaimed Junko, a bit surprised. She must have used a TM for that... she thought, a little worried now.
Nereus didn't even have time to make a move before the electric attack came flying at full force from the electrified Abra. He froze as his whole body was consumed by the Shock Wave. He twirled around, tentacles limply swinging, and hit the sand hard. He was down for the count.
Aggravated, Junko returned the fallen jellyfish to his ball and carefully placed it on her belt. She scanned the beach area to see where her skull face had gotten to. "Hades! It's your turn, c'mere!" she called, once she had caught sight of him. She wasn't about to lose to this spoiled brat.
The Duskull bid farewell to the friendly Krabby and floated over to the battlefield. It was time to make up for losing to that Squirtle earlier.

Riza continued to study the pokeball that held her newly caught Corphish, wondering when the best time would be to let the Pokemon out of its confinement for the first time. 'Maybe once we arrive in Lilycove. I bed she'd like a swim.' She clipped the sphere back onto her belt, looking at Serenity as she approached them. 'She seems a little braver today,' Riza thought. "Hi Serenity, hi George," she said, smiling at both. She couldn't help but be a bit jealous of both Keegan and Serenity. They both had Pokemon that had evolved already, and she knew that Keegan had at full team of Pokemon, though she didn't know about Serenity. 'Oh well, I'll catch up. Someday,' she thought a bit ruefully.
She decided to just stand there quietly, wondering what she'd do besides shopping to pass the time before this evening. Perhaps she could get some more practice in, maybe find herself a battle or two. After tonight, she had no idea where she'd be going or what she'd be doing next, but a part of her couldn't help but think that it was all part of the adventuring life. * * * * * Genki and Noa appeared in a flash of light in front of their trainer, the brownish starly accompanied by some gold sparkles, each looking refreshed and energetic. The Chimchar's flame began to burn brightly when he realized that it was time to battle and he clapped his hands together excitedly. Noa, on the other hand, let out an indignant chirp when she saw the little chimp next to her and had she not received a sharp yell from Katie, she probably would have attacked him on sight. "You two have to work together now," the orange haired girl snapped.
"Your Pokemon don't seem to like each other much," the brunette observed casually, glancing at her own duo. The two hadn't said a word to each other, though they looked as though they liked each other, at the very least.
"I think my Starly is angry because she lost earlier," Katie said with a shrug. "But she's going to have to get over it." Katie crossed her arms and gave the tiny bird a very stern look. Noa chirped in annoyance and stuck her tongue out at Genki. The poor Chimchar was clueless as to why their new 'friend' seemed to dislike him, but he was determined to show her that if they worked together, they could win this battle. "Anyway, let's get started, guys. Genki, you use your ember on the budew. Noa, hit the kricketot with a quick attack!" The Starly, being a bit faster, shot forward at the speed of light and slammed hard into the little red cricket Pokemon, causing its little antennae to rattle loudly. Genki meanwhile let his flame flare up and he opened his mouth, sending out a volley of red hot embers that spilled all over the little flower. It shrieked and hopped around, small wisps of smoke wafting up from it.
"Oh, those were some good hits," the girl said, nodding. "Okay. Budew, I want you to use your water sport to make the fire attacks weaker. Kricketot, you should use your bide." Nodding quickly the budew shook itself, a few blackened bits of leaves falling off of it. It danced around and suddenly a spray of water shot up from all around it, drenching the area. The cricket hunkered down, a big of a reddish glow overcoming its small body as it stared at the starly, practically daring it to attack.

Aggron felt a spasm course through his body as he was about to execute his new attack. He remembered watching Flygon do it. His claws began to shimmer with a blue light and soon his entire body flashed blue. Dragon-like wings shimmered out above his shoulders, giving him the appearance of a winged beast. The Pokemon stomped forwards towards Cable and swung away! Cable, anticipating the attack, did a back handspring and narrowly avoided damage. When he landed, however, he slipped up and fell onto his backside. That hurt a bit. The feline stood back up and clenched his fists, a shower of sparks crashing out of them. He waited for Kilik to call out a command, but it wasn't coming. Did he expect him to battle on his own? No! That wouldn't be fair! Then again, it was a training session for him...Fine!
Kilik took the backseat in this battle. It was more like watching two wild Pokemon go at it. His PokeDex suddenly started going off in his pouch. It startled him; normally it was his PokeNav that did the screeching. He pulled out the red device and flipped it open. Aggron's image was on the screen. "New attacks learned! New attacks learned!" the mechanical voice called out. This voice sounded oddly like a certain proud Prince of a powerful race. Kilik couldn't exactly put his finger on the name. "Aggron has learned Iron Head. This attack has the chance of causing the foe to flinch, opening them up for direct strike." Kilik let out a low whistle.
"That must be that headbutt-like move that he kept using as a Lairon!" he laughed triumphantly and put the device into his bag once more. "Thanks, PokeDex. Now I can command those things!" Though perhaps it would only recognize one move per Pokemon? He'd have to test that theory later. He watched Cable slam Aggron in the chest with a Brick Break, but thanks to his massive Defense and considerable Level advantage, the beast would be able to take about three more of them. Man, than hurt his hand! Cable shook his fist, holding it with the other. Talk about hard headed!

Mazarin didn't have much time to react before he found himself on the ground, pinned by the much stronger and insane boy. He struggled against his grip and growled. "Well, shoot. I think you forget that I never take anyone seriously!" The boy laughed and managed to shift his body and plant one of his feet against Mike's chest. He pushed harder and harder. One of two things were going to happen - one, Milo would let go and Mazarin could get up or two, Mazarin would end up breaking Mike's sternum. I used this against Alastor, who has to be at least twice as strong as this kid! He grit his teeth and the moment he felt the grip twitch on his hands, he pulled himself free and kicked Mike off of him, rolling out of danger's way.
He stood up and brushed off his clothes. He noticed a tear in his Charizard wing, and his jaw fell. "You...you b*****d!!" he barked, "You ruined them! You ruined my wings! I..." Mazarin clenched his fists, "I'm going to destroy you!" He began to spin his arms in a circle (much like Cable did to generate electricity) and ran towards Mike. His poor wings!

"I should go find me some Heart Scales," Mitsu mused to herself scanning the beach quickly. The things were a tad rare, hopefully she'd be able to find two somehow. Oh well, she'd enjoy the warm sand and cool waters of the Lilycove beach first before she decided to go treasure hunting. "Well no use in putting this off any longer," she laughed, "C'mon out Nightmare!"
The massive serpentine drgaon emerged in a crash, breaking the water's surface. The rolling waves broke into white, angry surf. He let loose a mighty roar, having been summoned from his Pokeball. The cry could have easily be heard in the town. He look about with wild eyes until he spotted a familiar purple headed girl. He roared once more, whipping his body around before slamming his tail into the sand next to her.
Up she flew in a comical fashion, complete with wide, unexpecting eyes, before crashing into the ocean herself. Mitsu broke through the surface herself gasping for breath from the unexpected attack. She was floating only a short distance between herself and the Gyrados. Nightmare took one look at the girl. And then he charged.

Ivy and Sapphire were having quite the time catching up with one another, that is until Ivy's poor leave were set ablaze from a snorting laugh of Sapphire's. He had accidentally snorted out some flames along with an unpleasant noise. The Ivysaur quickly doused himself with some sand to put out the miniscule flames before pointing an olive green vine at the Fire type and laughing a hearty laugh.
"Oh-ho, that was amazing Sapphire," Ivy replied with a cheeky snicker.
"Shut up!" the Houndoom countered.
The two Pokemon butted heads, eyes filled with playful anger. Sapphire took the initiative, his toothy grin clearly ridden with mischief. The Houndoom leapt backwards a few good feet before planting his feet firmly on the ground before blowing forwards some weak flames, an Ember attack.
Ivy snorted. The canine sure was a hothead. Though he had to admit it was better than chatting it up with some unresponsive houseplants. He'd take the bait. Ivy pushed up a green barrier easily, the fire crashing harmlssly into his shield. Protect was such a useful attack, he mused silently to himself, await the more speedy Pokemon to make his next move.
"Houndoom. Fire Fang," the robotic Pokedex voice spoke.
Sapphire's grin only widened as he charged forth, fire rolling from his fangs. This attack would be something else for sure. He launched himself off his hind legs, his mouth ready to take a big bite out of a fire-grilled Ivysaur.
Ivy, just having recovered from his Protect attack was left open for the oncoming slaughter. He winced as the attack connected. The burn! The fiery agony for the burn! . . . Ivy blinked. What a rip! The fire wasn't even there! Well, might as well take the opportunity he thought lowering his head. He had gotten a new attack too after all.
Sapphire was busy chomping down on his shoulder, and being the stubborn bugger that he was he wouldn't let go, trying to will himself to turn the normal Bite attack into a Fire Fang as the machine had said.
Short moments later Sapphire was sent flying, a pitiful yelp escaping his muzzle as Ivy's hard head came crashing into his face. Skull Bash! When the hell did Ivy get that attack!
"KYAAAAAAAAAA!" the familiar voice screamed.
The two Pokemon stood still in their tracks just having witnessed their old pal Nightmare send Mitu flying face first into the ocean.

In short, M.A. more or less found her (non-existent) booty kicked out of the house with a large egg in her arms and a silent and majestic Tropius watching her every move as if she was on probation. Not at all uncomfortable, oh no.
"Nice weather, huh?" M.A. laughed feebly, a sad attempt at conversation. Maxine (the Tropius) naturally did not reply, only watching her nervous giggle with a skeptical expression. Rein wanted to give her baby to this girl? She looked like she'd blow away if the Tropius as much as snorted, look how rail thin she was! It was amazing that she could even carry her baby with those arms. In fact, as soon as M.A. started walking towards the beach, she attempted to shift the heavy egg within its blanket, and it nearly slipped right through; thank god she reacted quickly enough. The brunette had tried to make the panicky move more or less inconspicuous, but Maxine' vigilant eye missed nothing. In fact, it became all the more doubtful.
M.A. sighed. Strike one.
She didn't really know what she could say to the banana-growing dinosaur, and the silence threatened to stifle her. Maybe my Pokemon could make the atmosphere a little better, M.A. thought hopefully. Daemyn and Tora were out of the question, so she carefully nestled the egg in one arm before using the other to release Diego and Ulani.
Upon release, Diego drowsily curtsied to Maxine, much to Ulani's disgruntlement. He then asked the Tropius if she would mind if he could capture her beautiful self on paper, and the bemused Pokemon consented, not minding at all when the painter flew onto her expansive back. Ah, quite a unique angle. Diego had found his latest muse. He would wait until they reached the beach to begin painting, probably, but this resting area wasn't half bad.
Ulani pretended not to care of Diego's affairs and instead perched on M.A.'s shoulder, cooing at the egg with inquiring eyes. "There's a baby in there. Don't peck," M.A. said this last part hurriedly, seeing that the curious Swablu had half a mind to try and break the curious little round thing herself. Maxine looked duly alarmed, but Diego soothed her with some more lovey-dovey sweet-talk, which the dinosaur chuckled at. M.A. was somewhat glad for Diego's interference, while Ulani purposefully continued to stare at the egg, ignoring him altogether.

"Come, come, girl, we won't get anything done sloppin' around," Jun said, pulling the girl up to her feet and slinging a leg over Jenny's spare motorcycle. He pointed at the side cart, indicating that Alice best sit there; it'd be the safest place for her, considering his crazy driving. Aidan was the designated driver, see, but he wasn't around. The motorcycle's dual seat seemed awfully empty and spacious without him there, Jun sighed. No chauffeur to grab onto, just handlebars.
And so Jun began to drive through Hearthome, slowly though as to not hit the pedestrians on the street. "How would /I/ know where he doesn't want to be?" the man muttered, irked at the lack of direction. He realized that the irritation in his tone, however, might be interpreted incorrectly by sweet little Alice, and so took out the edge in his voice. "Just tell me how to get to where you last saw him. We can see if we can pick up tracks, or something, or ask around if anyone's seen him. Someone probably has; if any kidnapping happens in Hearthome it's usually just little kids from rich families, not men with rugged scruff and mm."

"Oh, you'll be signing a different tune when you're burning alive! Just imagine it. The sight, the smell, the sounds. You'll crackle, you'll blacken, you'll stink, and most importantly, you'll scream! AAAHA-HA-HA-OPFH!" Milo's laughter was cut short when Maz slammed his foot into the boy's chest. He coughed, glaring down at his victim. "How dare you ruin the moment?" It didn't even hurt, that would have at least been enjoyable. Why couldn't the little s**t wear cleats or something? At least then he would have gotten that lovely sharp feeling to shoot up his body like a thousand tiny needles, but no. "What a useless, grating child." Milo scoffed, tightening his grip on the boy's wrists. But, try as he might, Milo found himself unable to overpower the silver-haired tart. What is with this? he thought, letting out a wolf-like snarl. I suppose if he has nothing else going for him retard strength makes sense, but still! No sooner had his grip weakened in the slightest then Mazarin used the rest of his strength to push him away. The boy stood up with his usual ignorance, but his smarmy grin soon faded when he found his precious wings were scuffed. Milo grinned as Maz charged, once again losing any minimal finesse or skill he had, instead turning to blind anger and revenge. He did this exact same thing earlier in the Pokemon match? Didn't he ever learn anything?
"Yes...yes..." Milo said with a smirk, bobbing his head from side to side. "Just like everyone else. The slightest push and you get all feral! You children are so predictable." He stepped to the side as the immature mercenary flailed past him in failure. People were so easy to read when they were angry. "Now what to do to destroy that annoying unearned confidence of yours?" He mused, his smile grew wider as the possibilities unfolded inside his mind. "How about...this?!" Milo quickly raised his hand and dispensed a wave of orange flames towards the boy's now exposed backside, more importantly his precious wings. The materiel went up almost instantly, and Milo found himself nearly convulsing with laughter as he watched the boy writhe and flail around in flames. "Dance, dance!" he cried out in between laughter as he watched the act.

"A Pinsir eh? Well then I guess I'll go with Vlad!" the youth said staring at the menacing beetle with the massive horns. Vlad stepped forward looking at his opponent with a smile on its face. It enjoyed fighting strong opponents and this guys looked pretty tough. " Alright Vlad use Vacuum Wave!" Vlad brought his claws back and in what seemed like the blink of an eye slashed then down to the ground and a just barely visible wave of air came and smacked against the Pinsir square in the chest. The attack itself was quite impressive but the damage dealt appeared to be minor as Pinsir shook it off almost immediately.
"Heh now its my turn.." the nerdy bug guy sneered.

"Gah! I know I had it somewhere!..." Ky mumbled as he shuffled through his backpack, looking for the free "One-Way Anywhere!" train ticket he had acquired sometime before leaving Violet City. Rex yawned as he watched Ky struggle through his belongings. The pair had made it to the train station after all; to Ky's credit, there had been more than enough signs and bus-stop directories to point his way there. Now stalled in front of the ticket kiosk, Ky eventually tugged from the bottom of his pack, lifting a badly crinkled ticket from its resting place. Not wanting to ruin his free ride, Ky did the best he could to flatten the ticket against the kiosk's side before speaking up to the drowsy teller. "I'd like to get a ticket to Slateport City please!" Ky asked politely. His smile soon faded though as he saw the lazy kiosk attendant with his eyes closed and his chin resting on his arms, music pouring from the headphones he had on.
"...just a city boy.... born and raised in south Violet. He took the midnight train going annnnnywhere..." he sang to the melody, sounding more than half-asleep as he did so. That was soon interrupted though as a small but powerful fist slammed up against the plastic window separating the two, waking the late-shift worker with a snort and a yelp. After rubbing his eyes to clear his vision, the man tilted his head in curiosity towards the angry-looking youngster, minding the seriousness the boy was showing by crossing his arms in a frown.
"Ehhehem!" Ky cleared his throat in addition to his already sour mood. "I'd like a ticket to Slateport please," Ky repeated, this time handing the piece of paper to the teller.
Rubbing one of his eyes with his left hand, the man grabbed Ky's ticket to inspect it. "This ain't a coupon kid. Just get on the train you want. Conductor'll let you in," he explained, handing the ticket back with a yawn. Ky re-inspected the ticket for clarity, then put it in his pocket. He then followed the man's eyes as the teller looked at his watch, raising an eyebrow. "Matter a fact, you might wanna hustle cuz if this here clock is correct, the train should be leaving any sec..."
"WOOOOOOOWOOOOOOOOooooooo!" came the air-pounding blast of what could only be a train's horn. Eyes widening, Ky spun to face towards the train which was a few platforms away, watching as it began to pick up speed.
"Whup! Too bad!" the man laughed with a snort. "The next train ain't comin' around for another 2 hours as late as it... Hey kid where you goin'?!" the attendant called out with his hands and face pressed against the glass.
Now sprinting at full speed with Rex held tightly in one of his free arms, Ky raced towards the escaping train, a single Pokeball held in his right hand. Soon right up along side it, Ky saw that the train was going much too fast to even attempt grabbing on. Also seeing that he was running out of room to run, Ky gulped slightly as he let the Pokeball fly. "Never hesitate," he muttered coolly, trying to calm the pounding of his heart. Appearing in a flash of white light, Ky's naturally unphased Xatu stood at the end of the platform, watching with mild interest as the nearby train whizzed by. "Hold on Rex!" Ky called as he deftly recaught his Pokeball, hugging his Totodile close. Approaching Poe as fast as he could, Ky yelled out his command. "Poe! Teleport me into that train, pronto!" A faint purple aura immediately began to shine around the bird, the Xatu's two eyes shining with a blinding white light. Knowing he was about to grab onto Poe with nothing but trust to hold onto, Ky shut his eyes tight as he threw himself at the psychic bird. As soon as Ky felt the soft touch of Poe's back feathers, a strange flash of heat seemed to wash over his body, making him feel weightless for a few moments. Then, just as suddenly, Ky felt as if he had fallen into a bath of ice-cold water, paralyzing him until he felt the force of gravity yank him to the floor. Then, all was still.
"EEEEEEYAAAAAAAAAA!" came the scream of an elderly-sounding lady. "Gho-gho-ghoSTTTT!"
Soon regaining his senses, Ky could tell he was lying on what felt like a thin, rough carpet, slightly vibrating. Heart pounding once again, Ky pushed himself up quickly to the sound of the old woman, taking quick uneven breaths as he gathered in his surroundings. The lady whom he heard was standing up in her seat with her legs shaking, looking just as pale as one would expect from a ghost-frightened person.
"Xa! Xa! Xatu," came three groaning squawks Ky wasn't ready to hear. Standing up and spinning around on his heel, Ky looked in fear of what might have happened to Poe. To his relief though, the bird was merely panting painfully, to which Ky could only guess was a result of his Xatu having never performed such a Teleport before. "Sorry buddy; didn't mean to push you so hard," Ky said with a pout. "You can rest now." Holding out his now sweat-stickied Pokeball, Ky shot a returning beam to recall his Pokepal. Ky then turned towards the lady with his hand held behind his head, rubbing his neck in an apologetic gesture. "Hehe, sorry for spooking you," he mumbled.
Once the old lady regained her cool, she merely grumbled with what sounded like "Darneded kids these days..." before sitting herself down and picking up her half-torn newspaper to continue reading. Having heard the scream, the nearest train attendant had soon entered the same car as Ky, just before he had called back Poe. Walking up to him, she frowned at the possible stowaway with her hand held out. "Quite an impressive entry little boy," she said with a fake cough. "Ticket please?"
Ky reached into his pocket to pull out the crumpled ticket, offering it with yet another sorrowful look. Taking the ticket and examining it, the woman quickly tore a tab off, punching a hole into the tab and handing it to Ky. "Please enjoy your stay on the Nightrider; we will be arriving in 3 1/2 hours. My name is Stacey and I will be your stewardess. Please take a seat and press the call button if you ever need any service," she recited before turning with an irritated huff, leaving Ky to stand in the aisle.
The thought then occurred to Ky that he hadn't searched for Rex yet, though it only took a quick look down to find the little croc, its arms crossed with a look of irritation mimicking Ky's at the ticket kiosk. Laughing a little, Ky finally felt the rush of having pulled off such an awesome stunt. Squatting down to pat his Totodile on the head, Ky smiled with a wide grin. "That was pretty cool, huh Rex?" Ky asked, not expecting his blue buddy to suddenly chomp down on Ky's fragile fingers, resulting in an excruciating pain Ky had never felt in his entire life.
For the second time that night, the passengers of the Nightrider heard a scream echoing along the car's walls, this one a young boy's, but much louder than the one before.

At the mention of him, Helios stood up and stretched, these actions serving as a smokescreen to hide his true purpose, which was to get closer to the girl who was currently admiring him. He sniffed at her a bit before he decided that she was friendly enough. He sat down beside her, a bit of a mischievous glimmer in his eyes that clearly stated that he wanted to be petted, especially after being previously snubbed by Riza.
The Ninetales' antics was probably one of the few things remaining in the world that could still make Keegan smile, and he turned back to face Serenity, leaning against the railing of the ferry. "We decided yesterday," he said, closing his eyes and grinning at the memory like it had actually happened weeks and weeks ago, "that evolution would be the best thing for both of us. We had a Fire Stone and everything, so yeah." He stopped then, not really sure what else to say. He glanced out over the water, seeing the beautiful scenery of Lilycove starting to come into view. He'd been there a few times before, the most recent being a few years ago, before all the destruction caused by Mike's idiocy. He'd actually accompanied his parents here when they themselves were attending the Breeders Gala. He had been too young to go, obviously, and had spent most of the time in the hotel, but at least he knew (or thought he knew) the layout of the coastal city. ===== Sneaky thing, Miharu thought, watching the speedy Linoone make a run at Lily, ready to slam the Bulbasaur with a Headbutt. There wasn't really anything Miharu could have done to forewarn her Pokemon, as once she started her Petal Dance, she couldn't stop until it was over, and confusion had settled in. All she could do was watch helplessly as the Rush Pokemon slammed into Lily's side, though it did not break the Bulbasaur's concentration.
"Bulb-baa!" she roared, dancing a few steps away from her attacker, now focusing the storm of petals on the Linoone itself. A seemingly-unending flurry of petals rained down on the battlefield, and even Miharu couldn't help but admire the beauty behind the move.

The wind played on the surface of the sandy beach, taking gritty bits along for a ride, then mercilessly abandoning them across the waterfront. The ocean reflected the afternoon sun on its endless ripples that disappeared into the horizon. It was that time of day when driving would be practically impossible, as the sun would hang in the sky mockingly. Hazel eyes followed the grains that danced about the seashore, while gloves softly caressed a the little red and white sphere belonging to a recently fallen Jellyfish. The young girl squinted, to keep the sand and sun's rays from her eyes. Once the requiem Pokemon made his appearance in front of her, she removed her touch from the pokeball and clenched her fists in repeating succession. "Hades, start off with Faint Attack!" she called, ready to be done with this particular battle.
"Abra use Shock Wave again!" exclaimed Bikini behind a worried voice. She had never seen a Duskull before, but any idiot could tell that it was of the ghost genre.
The Abra's body began to crackle with blue bolts of electricity once again as it charged its attack. Not even bothering to stand up, it executed the Shock Wave from where it sat comfortably in the sand.
The ghost couldn't escape the onslaught, and took the wave in full. He tumbled to the ground, unable to keep his place in the air from the force of the attack. He put his hand to his head and shook his skull viciously to remove any particles of stray sand that had invaded his inner sanctum. He returned himself to his floating position above everyone else, where he should be, and readied his attack.
Hades strolled(as best as something lacking legs can) on up to the little psi Pokemon, stopping just short of its face. The magnificent red tongue, which had made so many earlier appearances, tauntingly returned again.
Little Abra stared at the skull face sporting a slimy red thing and outstretched, transparent arms. It cocked its head to the side in puzzlement as the the figure vanished as quickly as it had appeared. The Abra's face greeted the sandy beach as a heavy blow was delivered from behind. Feeling no need to continue battling, the psychic resumed its nap and made no further movements.
"Hmm," Junko hummed. "That was over more quickly that I thought it would be." saying the latter to herself, not wanting to get any more rises out of the already angry girl. Abra was one of the few Pokemon that she knew of, but had never looked up, not realizing that its abysmal defense combined with a physical, super effective, Dark attack would be more than enough to put the psychic out of commission. Not wanting to continue this prattle with the bikini girl, she traipsed on over to the girl and held out her hand for a shake, so that she could be on her way. "Good battle." she assured, with a smile.
"That was NOT a good battle!" Bikini shrieked in the poor girl's face, stomping the sand and puffing out her cheeks once again. Rage was written all over her and it was obvious that she was not about to let this go.
Junko's hand fell limply on her outstretched arm, her pupils shrinking at the sudden sound wave emitted from the girl's mouth. "L-listen," she said, straightening her hair from the 'breeze', "I'm leaving, so calm down..." Her sudden kindness drifting away with the salty wind. She had given the girl the benefit of the doubt and it was thrown back in her face. Whatever, she didn't have time to deal with people like this. There were much better things she could be doing, like shoving a nail into her head. "C'mon Hades," she said, turning on a heel to get the hell out of there. "Let's goooooo."
Hades gladly followed the girl across the shore, twirling and looping around in excitement from winning in battle for the first time. His adrenaline was pumping and he was ready for more action, ready to take on any opponent thrown his way. His happiness deflated instantly when he noticed the less than inspired look on his number one girl's face. The ghost fell into 'stride' next to her as they quietly continued on to the Gym.
"I wont forget this!!" Bikini wailed after the duo, recalling her snoozing Abra and placing her hands forcibly on her exposed hips. "I'll crush you next time!"

Upon seeing this, Katie put her hands on her hips and eyed her two Pokemon carefully. "Genki, use your ember again, and Noa, go with wing attack. But this time, I want you guys to change targets!" Though she wasn't overly tall for her age, her voice teemed with authority and confidence, something she'd learned well from her mother, Lena, who also wasn't extraordinarily tall. The Starly, using the remaining momentum from her previous quick attack, sped around, shooting another downright nasty glare at Genki before she stretched her wings wide and smashed them into the soaking wet little flower. Again, the poor abused budew let out a cry, but this time staggered back a few steps and fell onto its butt. Genki meanwhile, had loosed another blast of embers at the kricketot, but the fact that it was still wet reduced the damage by quite a bit. The cricket simply shook its antennas again, the telltale sound rattling a bit as the red glow encompassed it once more.
"Hmm, oh well," the girl said, shrugging slightly before she recalled her fainted budew. "I really should work with her some more. I hear Roselia and Roserade are pretty cool." She put the ball back on her belt and carefully selected another. "Mime Jr., I chose you now!" The mini mime Pokemon appeared in a flash of light and it bounced around a bit, looking quite happy to be out of its ball. "Mime Jr, please use barrier. And Kricketot, keep on going with bide!" The brown hair girl seemed to be enjoying the battle, even though her first one had been KO'd already and the second had taken a few big hits.
The little mime clapped its hands before waving them and then pretended to be washing an invisible wall or window clean with an invisible rag. A shimmery barrier then appeared before the little guy, making it tougher to cause him harm. In the meantime the cricket just stood there, continuing to bide its time.
