He hardly glanced up from Rin's face as he held her hand. She was still unconscious.
She grabbed her mothers hand and intertwined their fingers. She was so worried.

he started to unravel the umbilical cord from the babies neck
he tensed visibly as he watched
he handed the baby off to one of the nurses, finished up with what would have been that after birth, and started to sew Rin up
She started to cry in the nurses arms
she woke up as the doctor was sewing her up "dad..?" she asked weakly
he relaxed seeing Rin awake and the baby crying

"I'm right here sweet heart." He squeezed her hand, "You have a little girl." He smiled at her and kissed her forehead.
She sighed in relief as she heard both the baby and Rin.
She took the now crying baby girl to a table to clean and weigh her.

she smiled softly, not able to do much else
he pressed his nose to the glass some more
she started crying harder

"Does Grandpa want to hold her?" She walked over with the crying baby.
"Do you mind baby girl?" He asked.

He let go of Rin's hand and took the baby from the nurse. "Shhhh.... your okay." He spoke softly and rocked a little.

she smiled weakly up at them

He saw her fidgeting and loosened her bundle, her hands now free. "She looks just like you Rin." He smiled at his daughter.

He bent down and laid the baby on Rin's chest, "Meet your baby girl." He smiled and kissed Rin's forehead.

She lifted the baby girl, Flawerence, "You'll see her a bit later." She walked away from the mother.
