Yeah, but I like paper. I like being able to underline, annotate, and bookmark. I like filling my bookcase. Kindle's are convenient, but I'm snooty and old-fashioned. >:P

Aren't they a couple hundred? My grandmother has one and people kept coming up and asking about it.

it actually looks a lot like paper they went out of their way to do that oh and you can annotate and underline and make notes and stuff on the kindle though you'll have to type out whatever you want to put down with their tiny a** keyboard which is just...too small for me
also i like clicking the buttons to turn pages it sometimes got tiring to hold some of my big a** fantasy books open
the price may have gone down since the kindle 2 came out but last i heard they were either $300ish or $400ish i can't remember

I do think it's great for travelling though. Multiple books/newspapers in one little device. No light glare on the screen either. Nifty design.

thanks! When I first saw one of the positions of the gogh reed 1st gen item (the feet) the first thing I thought was Carmen Miranda. xD
But then I learned I didn't have the items I'd need to make a good avi. crying
So instead I just made as... colorful... an avi that I could think of. :]
