Bakura placed a hand on Rei's cheek, and tilted her head so that he could see her better. His face was still neutral, and perhaps a little cold. Yes, she was conscious. But was she okay? "Can you hear me?" Atem looked away. Rei had woken up, she must be fine. He sighed, then got to his feet. "I'm going to go tell the healers their assistance isn't needed anymore. Are they still gathering antidotes?" He wondered aloud, walking from the room.

When bakura spoke her eyes moved to him "Baku-" she stoped as she started coughing. No blood came up luckly. Reaching out weakly she grabed ahold of his shirt and pulled. She was able to move herself so her head was resting on his chest.

Bakura wrapped his arms around Rei, holding her close-- but not enough to choke her or anything. Now he couldn't stand it anymore. He began to cry, softly. "I thought I had lost you. I thought you were dead." He said breathlessly, bowing his head, tears falling onto his lap. "You... you should be more careful."

Rei clung to him. "I....I was so cold...." she said her voice soft. Nanu smiled before leaving them in the room alone.

"Can you remember what happened?" Bakura asked, though he pretty much knew already. He wanted to know from Rei's point of view.

"this women brought me a meal...I just drank thewater....my chest tightened...and everything went back....so much pain.." she muttered the last part resting on him.

"It's okay. You just need to rest now." Bakura said, scooping Rei into his arms and then laying her down on the bed. He took Femi and Kek into his arms as well, placing them next to her. "The priest did this. Remember what Atem said earlier? Besides, I came in and he was standing over you. I think I got him, but I can always finish him off later."

Rei's eyes wandered down to the children. She seemed frightened "Ba-Bakura.....I cant feeel anything..."

"What do you mean?" Bakura placed his hand over Rei's, squeezing lightly. "Can... can you still move?"

Bakura was mildly disturbed at that. He grit his teeth together and stood up, letting go of Rei's hand. He left the room without a word to Rei, going into the hallway. Atem had just finished telling the healers that they were no longer needed, and had gone to see if he could find Seto. Bakura grabbed him, however, and hauled him back to Rei's room. "Tell me what kinds of poison can do this, and how you fix it." Bakura was grabbing Atem by his throat, and the pharaoh had to work on loosening Bakura's grip before speaking. "I'm not the one you should be asking. Nanu had the list of poisons Seto had. Besides, it's not like we could tell." Atem snapped back, rubbing his neck. "I don't even see anything wrong with her. What are you talking about?" "She can't feel." Bakura hissed, glaring at the pharaoh. "Figure out which of those poisons have that side effect, and how we fix it." Atem glanced over at Rei, clearly looking bored. He couldn't figure out why she was married to Bakura, how she had managed to put up with the thief. He sighed, looking at Bakura instead, and said nothing.

Rei was overly disturbed by this. Tears were running down her cheaks as she staried down at her children. How could she not be able to feel them?!

Bakura and Atem bickered, with Bakura getting more and more angry. Atem finally sent him out of the room, telling him to go find Nanu and see if she had any ideas, and then go get a healer. Once Bakura was gone, the pharaoh picked up Rei's wrist, checking her pulse, to make sure it was normal. "So you can still move?" He asked, not looking at her. "Is anything else wrong with you, that you can think of? Any other senses gone? Taste or smell?"

"Well, I can probably ask Seto. Bakura claims he was the one who did this." Atem rubbed his eyes. "Sheesh. Didn't you listen to me before when I warned you about him? I even said he would try to poison you. I don't care what you people say, it's perfectly safe in the palace. If only you aren't a complete idiot."
