Taka led Batsu towards a more secluded area of the Academy and turned around, noticing how scared Batsu looked. "Haha calm down Batsu-kun, we're just going to talk is all. Now Batsu you seem to be having trouble with your fellow students, specificaly the members of the Hoshigaki Clan. To gain thier respect you'll have to beat them in a battle, and I'm going to help you." He reached back nto his pack and pulled out a piece of paper. "Here focus your chakra into this, it'll tell you what kind of Chakra you have."

A great calm came over the boy and he immediately did as his sensei instructed. The boy stuck his hand out and gathered chakra into it. The boy then stretched his hand out even more towards the paper. He was anxious to find out what exactly element he had... especially if he could defeat a Hoshigaki... mainly Akemi. And the fact that Taka-sensei was willing to help was a big plus. But there were two things that stood in his way... jutsus.
"But Taka-sensei, what good is it if I still need my last two jutsus? If I can't get those done then I'll have a really hard time defeating one." Batsu was anxious to fight, but things had to be finished first. As the boy talked, he reached out and touched the paper. To his surprise, the paper wrinkled into a ball. The boy's eyebrows rose.

Taka watched and nodded slightly as the paper crinkled up. 'Excellent.' he thought, he'd be able to teach the boy a good technique afterall. "Ok, so according to this your chakra is Lightning based, which is actually very good." He said to Batsu as he withdrew his Kumo Katana and activated the Raidenduo Technique. He suddenly turned a slashed through a rather large tree trunk, easily cutting a large chunk off. "This technique is called Raidedou, basicly you just focus your lightning chakra through a sword made from Kumogakure Steel. It's actually only a D Rank Jutsu, and I'll be willing to teach it to you. I guess you could say you have three more jutsu to learn now haha. The problem is that you aren't quite ready yet you'll need to train your Chakra control and Ninjutsu knowledge." Taka explained to him as he held out his sword for Batsu to hold. Quote: Raiton: Raidendou (Lightning Release: Lightning Conduction) The user channels his lightning chakra through his weapon for added damage. Only weapons made with Kumo steel can conduct lightning chakra. Cp cost: 10 per attack Dice Rolls: 2 (to activate) Damage: See Special. Quote: DC 10, Training Chakra. 9/10 = Progress (15) Kagamijiro Hideki continued his chakra training, his efforts were focused on one thing, and that was to harden and sharpen his body so that he could become a great weapon. He didnt know why he thought like this, maybe it was just a divine prophecy? Did it matter right then? No, no it didnt, and he stopped wondering why as he clapped his hands together and began to circulate his chakra, pushing the spiritual essence around his body to strengthen it, and to make more room in the chakra coil for stronger, and larger amounts of chakra.(8 ) The questions of why, however, snuck back into his subconscious and threw him off balance due to his lack of concentration, and the force of the chakra he was focusing in comparison to the rest of his body. With the equilibrium of his form thrown off, Kagamijiro ended up stumbling and falling flat on his face. He laid on the ground for a moment, his boyish instincts wanting him to cry, but he didnt. The academy student just gathered himself, and put away his emotions before standing back up and preparing to try again in his training.(16) His focus and determination could not be curbed as he resumed his practice in trying to expand his chakra amount. Kagami clapped his hands, and got into a solid stance as he focused his energy. The mind set he kept was rock solid, and he figured that getting in tune with one's element would aid him in his practice. It was working as his body was becoming more adept at circulating his chakra and accommodating it's growth.

Batsu watched in amazement as he saw Taka-sensei slash through a big tree trunk. It came as even more of a shock that his elder offered to his sword to him. The issue was, however, Batsu preferred shuriken and kunai as opposed to swords. But, if the boy could get kunai and shuriken to use with the same steel that Taka-sensei mentioned, he'd be a force to be reckoned with. Getting the steel would definitely be a bit of work to obtain.
Batsu took the sword that Taka-sensei offered and slashed it around a few times, away from his teacher of course, but the boy looked extremely awkward doing so. Melee weapons and Batsu did not mix well... at all.

Kagamijiro continued to try to get the chakra to flow through his body, but he just couldnt get the circulation right on this attempt. Something was bugging him as he practiced that threw off his concentration. He had no friends, and no teachers that really seemed to know him. He cursed his inability to be out going or friendly. He was just too cold, like the top of a mountain, covered in snow that would never thaw due to it's elevation. "Dammit..." Is all he said as he wiped a tear from his left eye. He was swearing for a number of reasons. His lack of friends, his inability to master his chakra networks, the amount of time it would take to achieve his goal. It all seemed impossible, and his confidence was only able to carry him so far.

Batsu heard the boy's yell and it made him realize that he was in a similar situation. Only problem was that Batsu had Taka-sensei as an ally. This boy had no one, and it made him feel bad. Batsu gave up a great chance to work with Taka-sensei and gave his sword back to him. The boy really needed some help, so he walked over to him. As he approached the other male, he noticed the tears forming... which confirmed his intuition.
Batsu made his way over to the boy and slid his hands in his pockets. "Ya know, problems are never solved by crying." Batsu's approach wasn't the greatest, but his intentions were pure.

Kagami looked over his shoulder and grumbled. "I'm not crying...It's..It's just my allergies." He didnt want to seem weak or prone to childish reactions to frustration, but it was a fact, that in his stage of growth boys reacted to frustration either in the form of anger, or sorrow and he seemed to take both avenues.
Kagamijiro stood at about four foot and seven inches tall with spiky black hair that was sort of messy from his training. A scar was there, a cut down his right eye that happened one day when a sword fell off the shelf above the anvil he was playing with. His deep blue eyes were full of emotions, it was probably the only way a person might be able to tell what he was feeling as he tried to keep his facial expressions neutral most of the time. He seemed to be a strong individual for his age by the muscles that were already there from his training under his black smith father, who had died in an accident.
Kagamijiro rubbed his eyes and sighed lightly before looking over to Batsu again. "Names, Kagamijiro, Kagami for short...told me my last name was Hideki when I was adopted." He then fully turned to look at the person he was addressing before smiling proudly, having forgotten his frustrations with training and he placed a thumb to his own chest as to gesture to himself. "My goal here, is to complete training so I can one day personally serve the Mizukage as a bodyguard." He didnt know why he felt the need to share his goal with Batsu, but the goal to Kagami helped him define who he was, at least to himself.

Batsu stood about four inches shorter than Kagami, so he ended up looking up to him with his ice blue eyes. The boy's hair was straight and blue as well. It was a darker shade, but nevertheless, it was blue and reached his shoulder. Batsu's hair swayed as he bowed at Kagami solemnly. "Nice to meet you Kagami, I'm Batsu Watanabe. I am the youngest of four siblings... all of which specialized in genjutsu. I have two goals. One of which is to excel and surpass my brothers and sisters as a shinobi. The second is to defeat a certain someone." Batsu slid his hand out of his pocket and stretched it out to point at another student in the academy... Akemi Hoshigaki.

Kagami wrinkled his nose lightly in disgust at the appearance of a Hoshigaki as he looked over to were Batsu was pointing. He found their blue skin, and gills to be sort of unsettling. There was also a rumor that they bred with sharks which sort of wierded out Kagami to a certain degree as kids his age were incredibly gullible.
He then looked back to Batsu and shrugged lightly, putting his expression back to normal. "So you kind of left your sensei hanging ya' know?" He said, now smiling at his new acquaintance. "Dad used to make me pound iron for swords for four hours straight if I got distracted during a lesson." He said with a bit of warning in his voice as if somebody might kidnap Batsu suddenly and force him to pound iron as well for leaving a lesson suddenly. Kagami didnt want Batsu to get into trouble over him because he was having a hard time doing something that should be really basic.

Batsu dropped his arm and shrugged his shoulder slightly. He knew his teacher wouldn't mind at all.... especially since he was conversing with a fellow academy student. "Meh, Taka-sensei is pretty lenient when it comes to training. If he needed me that bad, he'd come get me. Anyways..." Batsu slid his hand back in his pocket. "... I have an idea. We are both students and we need help. So how about us helping each other out. You up for it?" Batsu stuck his hand out of his pocket and in front of Kagami. An alliance to help each other graduate sounded like a great plan to him. Hopefully, the other would feel the same way.

Kagami liked the idea that Batsu presented to him. "It's a deal.. you help me master this chakra business, and I'll help you kick that fish man's a**." He said with a wide grin on his face. Kagami wasnt joking either when he said that. He liked a good brawl once in a while, so helping a new friend with a struggle was in on one of his interests. The power he would gain from fighting, the skill and prowess from taking down targets, it almost seemed like a better alternative to training, despite the pain that would be involved. The friendship between himself and Batsu looked like it would be a profitable one between the two of them, and in the end it presented Kagamijiro with a peer with which he could measure himself against, as to making sure he didnt fall too far behind him in training.

With a new accomplice at his side, the boy couldn't help but smile. His drive to continue rose to an all-time high and who knows... maybe they'd end up on the same team after graduation. Although it didn't look like it would happen it didn't mean that the concept was out the window. At least he gained a new friend at the end of the day.
So Batsu looked around the academy grounds and inquired about how far along Kagami was. "So all I lack is a couple of jutsu. Let's focus on getting you to where I am and then we'll tackle the last part together. So what were you working on when your..." Batsu fake coughed and slid his hands out his pockets then made air quotes. "...allergies kicked in" Batsu couldn't help but laugh. He knew that his ally didn't have allergies. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to start training since the academy grounds would have 'triggered' the reaction in the first place.

Kagami folded his arms before thrusting them down to his sides in clenched fists of defiance. "Hey! That aint funny, Batsu-kun..Allergies are some pretty serious stuff..yah know!?" Kagami then busted out into laughter and then looked up smiling. He wasnt really angry or upset by the teasing. He was glad to have a friend, and maybe being out going wasnt such a bad skill to acquire. "I was trying to expand my chakra by burning out the old, so newer stronger chakra could replace what I had..but..I keep getting distracted by.. allergies, so I havent finished the last repetition in this set." Kagami had coined the word allergies with a new meaning, it was a meaning that Batsu might understand as most males had trouble expressing emotions, especially on deep levels. "Jutsu are tough, but I managed to knock out Bunshin no Jutsu... my lack of chakra was what made it difficult, so I figured I could compensate if I worked on improving my weak point, which is my chakra amount."
