Desert Town

Gem? That's an odd name... Kuro looked at the girl for a moment, then scratched the top of his head before bowing politely.

"I go by Kuro..." When his head rose back up, his eyes moved from side to side, then he looked back at Sarume.

"We don't have to go to them. They will eventually come to us. They'll be cautious after the last time, but we have time to prepare now." Kuro's eyes focused back on the plants in the room, as if he had immediately noticed something, but his eyes kept wandering.

"At least, that's what I think."

Healing the soldiers from before was probably the best action at the moment. Kuro had good knowledge of plants, and apparently, so did Gem. "Are there any plants here that can be used for healing purposes?" Sarume herself couldn't tell the difference between any of them, so she would be no help in this situation.

But then she got an idea. "This village isn't too large. While you two work on the plants, I can go scope out the village, and maybe a little bit of the area surrounding. Better to know what advantages we have then winging it at the last minute..."

"I'm guessing this will alert you if I get in trouble?" Apparently, the two of them needed to build a little trust. Then again, she would have done the same thing. "Thanks. I'll check back in a little while."

She stepped out of the tent, not even wiating for either Kuro or Gem to speak. She would be able to get her bearings straight much quicker if she scouted from the wall. There was also no danger of geting lost. She noted the location of the tent with all fo the plants, then headed to the wall. Glancing over it, there was nothing she could see but sand. Glancing into the village, tents sprawled out, and people walked around in the streets. There was really nothing out of the ordinary.

Kaji lay in a bed with white sheets and a white blanket over him. He was in the hospital, the jutsu he used drained him of all his chakra, making him pass out.

~*~Beach:Nadia~*~

::the forest was beyond some relatively uneven sanddunes. And though the sand would slow them down, it didn't seem that there was anything to worry about on the beach itself. When they reached the woods however, the tempurature seemed to suddenly drop, though it would not seem that there was enough shade in the sparse trees to account for it::

~*~Town:Selestria~*~

::inside, a young woman came to check on Kaji, checking his wounds and his head to make sure that he was alright and then she sat down, one hand on his chest, her hand beginning to glow with chakra::

: surprised utside, the boars stood still as another creature exited the woods. It was nearly as tall as the walls themselves and appeared to be just another boar, save for its large size. Its eyes were shut, though it did not seem that it was blind::

~*~Desert Town~*~

::Gem watched them and shook her head a bit::

The others shall be fine. The herbs are being used by the doctors to treat those who can be treated. Those who can't...well...they are being made confortable at least.

The raiders have not been coming all that often, at least not recently. Jin beleives that they will be renewing their attacks soon, which seems to worry her. If you wish to find out more about them, ask Jin. Rumor has it that she is planning something....dangerous...

~*~Woods: Encampment~*~

::the elders did not speak when the strangers entered their house, but waited instead to hear what it is that they had to say. Obviously they had a purpose here. They did however nod a small hello::

Miraji takes off her boots, pouring out the sand that had gathered during the trek on the beach. "I really wish I wore socks..." Miraji groans as she cleans out the grains of sand between her toes. "Ick..." She slides them back on as Ran sniffs the air. "Brrrr...is it just me or did it just get cold all of a sudden?" She rubs the gooseflesh on her arms. Ran barks at her.

"Oh right. Guess we better get started, huh?" She puts her hand under her chin as she scrunches her face. After a minute she nods. "Okay! This forest is pretty big, so if we split up we can cover more ground, right?" She carves a star into a tree with her kunai. "Now then. You search in that direction." She points her finger in front of her. "And I'll go this way." She points behind her. " We meet back here at this tree," she points at the star, "in about 60 minutes. If you get in trouble or find the flag, howl twice. If the same happens with me, I'll blow the dogwhistle three times." She places her hands on her hips. "All right. Let's begin!" The two walk off in different directions.

Kasushi's mouth dropped, simply because of the shear size of the new creature. Calm down, calm down. It's just another boar. A really big one. He glanced over at Nakaji, trying to get his attention, and mouthed out the word fire.

~*~Beach:Nadia~*~

::the sparse woods were rather silent, and it took awhile for the two to actually lose sight of each other. Occasionally something would scuff about the the underbrush, casting a shadow here or there as a light breeze picked up. The trees rustled began to rustle softly, even though the breeze didn't remain constant::

~*~Town:Selestria~*~

::the wolves didn't seem to be moving anywhere at the moment, but watched the gaint boar as the slipped into a sitting position. The store tigers seemed motionless as well. The larger boar turned its eyes directly onto the others, shifting its intense gaze from boar to boar is a slow fashion before finally turning its gaze to the wall::

Who speaks for this village?

::the woman taking care of Kaji smiled at him and gave a soft shake of her head::

It seems that it may be over soon. You did well.

::the girl nodded though she seemed a little uneasy still. She showed Kuro the healing plants, some seemed to be the regular run of the mill plants that you would find anywhere, but others appeared to be odd, possibly hybrids of the others::

These plants will only grow well as long as they are attended. They are rather finicky. This one here...

::she pulled up a stem that also harbored tiny red flowers::

it does not require a lot of water, but it needs gentle soil so that it may bury its roots deep enough. The pollen can be dissolved into drinks to make a sort of sleeping mixture...
