"Saa...creepy..." He didn't believe Yamagawa-sama at all --he was a little gullible, but even that was a bit far-fetched-- but it was fun to play along. Besides, Yamagawa-sama was nice and didn't seem like he would do something icky-creepy with people's finger bones. Master-sama had once had a skeletal hand where all the bones had been strung together, and it just sat there on the shelf, creepy as hell. And, to Chou's knowledge, Yamagawa-sama wasnt that creepy. Not that he really knew, but he was going on a faith basis here, and he faithfully believed Yamagawa-sama was a good guy. First impressions were very important to Chou, and Yamagawa-sama's first impression had been good, because Yamagawa-sama had made Chou not lost, which was...well, good.
"Ne, you make them better? So you are a good guy!" Happily, Chou skipped, hovering a slight extra second before coming back down. He didn't mean to, it just happened sometimes when he was more than happy and his wings were fluttering and glittering and he could, for that one moment, support himself in the air. It was mostly involentary, and people tended not to even notice it happening, it was so subtle and quick.

"Yup! They taste like sugar and spun golden syrup." Yamagawa nodded, eyes shining slightly at the easy banter. So far, so good.. Chou-chan hadn't taken that seriously, unlike some people. Maybe it's because he hadn't been in here long enough. Or it was just because it was Chou-chan. The redhead had guessed as much that the faerie was determined to see the good side in everything -- after all, Chou liked him -- and.. even though there was a nagging part of his body that screamed out 'DANGER!', Yamagawa found that he quite liked this. Maybe it was because this was completely new to him. No-one he had met had been.. no-one had been this easy, this relaxed with him before.
He had almost -- just almost, not enough to have to backtrack much.. maybe a few steps -- missed the door to his office, quite distracted about this whole new concept of 'trusting'. Looking around slightly -- more out of habit than anything else in particular -- the redhead slowed to a stop, the free hand digging into his pocket. "Ne, we're here.." Now where was his key..?

"Sugar and gold syrup is yummy. Have you ever had it on pancakes? It's reeeeeally good like that!" Happily, Chou latched onto Yamagawa-sama's arm --the one he had previously been hlding-- and effectively turned the search for the key into a one-handed search. Nt like he meant to hinder the search at all, he was just...being Chou. And Chou was touchy-feely and liked hugging people.
Then he remembered --muchly belatedly-- what Yamagawa-sama had said earlier, about stopping by the office and then going somewhere else. "Ne...does that mean you have another room you sleeeeep in?" Not a completely foreign conccept by any means, it just hadn't occured to Chou. After all, Kiba-san had had the yucky icky hot office, and had seemed more than comfortable, so it hadn't occured to Chou that Kiba-san might have anther icky hot room, which meant it also didn't occur that Yamagawa-sama might, because they were both doctors and everything.

"Mm.. Strawberries are good too, did you know that?" The scientist smiled, a little surprised by the latching-on, but somehow not minding one little bit. Normally he wouldn't really have liked somebody else touching him -- him touching was a completely different level of understanding -- but.. This was somehow different type of touch. Chou wasn't going to do anything. He was just.. there. And happy. Almost at an impulse, Yamagawa reached out and twined his fingers around the falling sparkly strawberry-pink bangs of Chou-chan's hair, blinking rather confusedly afterwards, wondering belatedly as to just why was he standing there, keys half-forgotten, almost-hugging Chou-chan?
"...Your hair's like strawberry." There. He had said something so completely utterly pointless and stupid, the others -- if they heard this, which they wouldn't -- would be laughing at him right now. Yamagawa blinked again, watching -- almost as if he was outside his own body -- his fingers curl around softly on the locks of hair, before letting go slowly, the soft hair falling back into place as before. "..I like it." Chou-chan's other question was more or less forgotten, as was the key.

"Un! Strawberries are...good..." The faerie trailed off, silent as Yamagawa-sama played with his hair. For a moment...he looked...exactly like Master-sama had...before, when it was still good...and...and Chou had gotten the flutter in his stomach and had felt a little dizzy, and...he didn't know if that was good or not...because...he didn't want Yamagawa-sama to get bad too...and that creepy fear was rising in his throat that Yamagawa-sama would be too much like Master-sama and everything would get bad and...
Blinking back the fear --the only thing he could successfully hide from people, even if everything else showed like day-- he reached down to grab Yamagawa-sama's hand, releasing the redhead's arm and hiding the tremor than ran down his body in the same motion. He swung Yamagawa-sama's hand --and arm-- and swayed back on his heels and tried to distract --himself more than Yamagawa-sama-- from what Yamagawa-sama had looked like just then.
"Strawberries are good," he chirped, giving an easy, bright smile. "I like blueberries too. And watermelon. Fruit is good. All kinds of fruits. Don't you think so too?" Fruits were good. All sorts of fruits were very, very good. And distracting. Fruits were distracting, too, which was also good.

The male pitched forward slightly, teeth chattering -- actually chattering; he never did that, not even when it was cold. And it got cold here in winter sometime because the heating system was so veryveryvery crap -- as the faerie swung their arms, chirping brightly on about fruits. Maybe too bright. Or it was just all the glitter -- aka, the happiness inducing laxative thing -- congealing in his bloodstream, but there was this..something.. The redhead's brows furrowed a fraction, as he hastily stopped his glassess from slipping completely down off his nose.
Something was definitely wrong. Something that he couldn't put a fine finger on -- because.. the glitterness.. and he was never very much good with the whole concept of having different nuances of feelings -- but there was that nagging nasty nervous little voice that told him that something was wrong. And Yamagawa trusted that voice, because it had told him to not to drink that energy drink when he did and he was having reeeeally bad alergic reaction because of one of the flavouring chemicals in it.. And it was practically the only voice in his head that actually offered some good advise, so Yamagawa liked that voice.
And right now, the voice was telling him that something was wrong and definitely there was something important that happened in the last minute that tilted the whole axis of reality slightly and it was confusing and... And he was getting nervous, which meant that he would be radiating nervousness which meant that.. that he had to act normal. And quick. "Blueberries are only good in pies. I don't think I ever tried watermelons but I like melons, so it'd be good, right?"

He couldn't tell. Was Yamagawa-sama distracted enough? He...looked like it, but...but Chou couldn't tell. And Yamagawa-sama didn't have glitter that Chou could look at and tell. Which meant that...that he might have distracted Yamagawa-sama quickly enough, but...but he might not have, and Chou needed it to be the first one. Because...because he didn't want Yamagawa-sama t go away because he'd been bad, and...andandand...he needed Yamagawa-sama right now because he couldn't be lost again or he'd get dark and it'd be baaad...
Taking a deep breath, he forced the rising negative feelings down. He...he had to be happybright right now and distract Yamagawa-sama completely and utterly so Yamagawa-sama won't get suspicious and ask about it because if Yamagawa-sama asked then Chou would have to answer and that was the last thing in the world that Chou wanted right now because...it wasn't something he wanted to answer to anyone ever. So...
"Ne, you can put blueberries in pies? That's so cool! I didn't know you could do that!" He bounced, tugging on Yamagawa-sama's arm. "You've never had watermelon? How sad! Me, I don't like melon so much as other fruits, but watermelon is one of my favoritest fruits ever! You should try it. You might like it. It's really sweet at the right time." He nodded, confirming his facts like he didn't have a care in the world. And he didn't. Not ones that he'd show to anyone, at least.

Fruits were good. There were so many of them and all these exciting new different flavours and colours for each and every one of them, that you'll never run out of subjects to talk about. And.. And not talking made Yamagawa think about strange things that he had never ever bothered to even let a shadow of a shadow of them to reach his mind like.. like how pretty it looked whe n Chou-chan flittered around and..and..
Time to talk.
The redhead absently patted around his coat -- ah yes, the elusive mysterious disappearance of the key -- and tried his bestest to keep up with the brightbrightbright happy shiny chattering bounciness. Because the nagging nervous voice was still there and Yamagawa suddenly felt that this was something that really should be just.. gone, because it made him nervous and it made Chou-chan too bright and there was something wrong that neither of them wanted particularly to talk about. Maybe later, but definitely not now because he had to make Chou happy and not-nervous and keep that glittery cheerfulness, even though that made his heart skip weirdly..
"Blueberry pies are reeeeal good with cream and icecream! And... Cherries. I love cherries." He still didn't know what watermelon was; they had never had them for dessert in Metamorphoses, and.. he had never really bothered to eat out much, even though he could go out and get something if he wanted to because now he didn't have to stay indoors anymore and he didn't have to get permission to go anywhere anymore and he was free but..

Good. Yamagawa-sama...he..it was good. B-because...because Yamagawa-sama wasn't asking. Which was...which was good. Because it meant that Yamagawa-sama hadn't noticed and that Chou had distracted him fast enough that Yamagawa-sama couldn't notice, which was what Chou needed, because he couldn't tell because it was his secret and nobody else had the right to know his secret. C-course...Yamagawa-sama not asking might also mean...that he nticed...and that...he just didn't...care...but Chou couldn't handle that choice. It was...it was a dark choice and he didn't want to get dark, not here, not now. He...he had to believe it was the first one, because he needed to believe it was that one.
"Cherries are yummy. They're good in pies, too. I like cherry pies with whipped cream. Ooh, and apple pie! Apple ciminim pie of reallyreallyreally good!" That's right, keep talking, just ge back to normal and forget about this...just calm down...that's all he had to do. Calm down, and then he'd be completely fine and no one would be able to tell that something was wrong even if they knew what to look for in his glitter.

His fingers -- shaking slightly; why were they shaking? He neverevereverneverEVER got shaky fingers. because if he got them it was baaaad and he wouldn't be able to do things properly and that meant that he'll screw up his job and that meant that they didn't need him to do jobs anymore and.. and.. -- slipped into the front breast pocket of his gown and brushed against the cool sharp surface of the metal, making Yamagawa grin and slip them out from the confines, dangling like some sort of bizarre Christmas decoration between his two fingers. "Saa, here it was!" Good, because then they could go back to his other room and not be nervous anymore and.. and Yamagawa could get some coffee. Lots of coffee.
The redhead bent down slightly and slipped one of the keys -- shiny metalic greeny sheen -- into the keyhole, rather belatedly thinking that--that he could have just opened it fron the inside because he could technically go through the door if he tried.. But that might just freak Chou-chan out and that would make Yamagawa freak out slightly too and.. and that was bad. Because he didn't like freaking out because there were so many emotions and he couldn't just freeze up like last time because they were all inside him.. "Apple pies are too sticky unless they're reeally fresh, which isn't really.." Did that make any kind of sense?

Keys, keys, Yamagawa-sama found his keys...which meant that Yamagawa-sama would get his files and then they would go and do the next thing --which Chou had forgotten but figured Yamagawa-sama would remember-- and then they'd all be better and happier and it would be good because then no one would be nervous or freaking and everyone would be distracted and it would be good...Chou liked good. Good was special, and special was what everything should be. Like...like the keys that were good because they were distracting enough and it was a good thing they were getting distracted so...it was all going to be okay. Chou couldn't lie to even himself and say it was all fine now, but...it wuld be okay.
"I am a huuuuuge fan of apple pies," he faerie proclaimed, eyes lighting on the shiny keyness and getting a little sucked in and watching. "Mostly because he had lots of apple trees, so we had lots of apples to get rid of. And apple pies are easy to make, if you've got the right stuff. But other pies are good to. And other fruits, too. All other stuff is good too!" He latched onto Yamagawa-sama's arm once more, no longer worried about Yamagawa-sama figuring out anything was wrong. Because Chou had distracted him enough...

He stared down at the charred remains of this new beaker, not bothering to pick out the little glass pieces that had lodged into the wall during their flight through the air. He also didn't bother trying to clean up the scorch marks on the countertop, the soot that clung to the immediate vicinity --himself included-- or the murky turquoise fog skirting around his ankles. Kiba had much more important things to worry about. The first being that his left hand was bleeding, had several large chunks of glass in it, and was beginning to turn a strange faint teal color.
The other being that he was trying to keep back tears.
Snakes didn't cry. Kiba knew that. He'd grown with that little tidbit of advice shoved into his brain over and over and over again. He knew it, so he shouldn't want to break into tears right now. No matter how useless and stupid he was feeling because he knew nothing would ever work out right.
This always happened when Yamagawa came by with another experiment. Kiba would suppress himself because he wanted to keep whatever shaky friendship they had, aand then he would do something stupid and make a highly explosively toxic potion the second the redhead was gone. And...and it hadn't gotten better. No, if anything, it had gotten much worse, expecially with Chou-chan, who was cute and small and pink and all the things Yamagawa liked which meant...that Kiba was still just Kiba and it wasn't fair because he knew that it wouldn't matter at all...
Whimpering, the snake slumped down the wall, still moving with that boneless grace, but caring much less about appearances this time. After all, this time there was no one around to watch. Biting his lower lip, and quite ignoring the fact that his fangs slid into the soft skin --it was rather impossible to get sick from his own poison-- he began digging the glass shards out of his hand, taking no notice of the fact that his hand was positively blue, or that the smoggy gas was trying to crawl up his pantsleg. If he...focused on the glass...then he wouldn't think about red or pink...and...it might be better...

Biyokko He shivered softly as his breath brushed against his neck, the air even hotter than the water washing over him. Ware watched the reddened water rushing down the drain as though mesmerized, blue eyes deepening to a rainwashed grey-blue shade as he relaxed against the muscular form supporting him. Along with the water and blood, his anxiety washed away as well, and he purred.
His ears nearly twitched at the clearing of his throat, and he felt the smoke against his skin, slightly put off by the two together. The underlying feelings were clear to him in the sound he made, and he knew that it bothered him that he had been touched, and the smaller male felt worse for it, still believing that he should have fought harder against it, even though he knew that he had already fought his hardest. For the moment, he let those thoughts and fears slip away, and he whimpered softly as Blaine nipped and sucked at his neck, leaning back into him, biting his lip. With gentle touches the dragon explored the creatures body. He found himself caught in his lovers smell, the simple curves and lines of his body. This was his, this is what he gave his life for. Nothing would ever touch it again, he'd make sure of it. "Ware," he whispered, his breath warm against the smaller males ear. Taking the creatures ear between his fangs he gave a light smirk as he nibbled softly. The tip of his tongue flickering against the flesh between his teeth.
A picture flashed in his mind, of his past, the sound of the water, the feel of it running down his back and over his wings brought back memories. They were blurred, yet they were there. His chest warmed as he pulled the male closer his hands venturing over his stomach memorizing every part of his body as if he might forget it too. He didnt want to forget Ware, not ever. It was all he had now, all he could live for...

The lithe male squirmed slightly in his arms, mouth open as he mewled softly, knowing that his lover enjoyed the symphonies of sound he conducted for him and him alone. He bit at his lips as his body twisted involuntarily, inviting the hands that roved over his skin with an eagerness that defied his current lack of energy. Now that he was no longer running on fear and worry for the bigger male, he felt rather lethargic and numbed.
Soft blue eyes took on a confused expression as the almost deperate feel of his lover's hands reached him, and he hesistantly stopped them, turning in his arms to kiss the dragon softly.

"Aaand.. it's open!" The redhead smiled brightly as the key turned in the lock with a satisfied sort of click. He liked that sound, because it usually meant something good, like doors that opened. There were just too too too many of them that didn't open, and not just the ones around the dark damp corners either. There had been so many doors that he couldn't quite open because.. mostly because he couldn't couldn't, and sometimes..
As Yamagawa slipped the keys into his pocket, his fingers brushed against the cool coldness of the glass vial, making the redhead start slightly. The digits hesitated, then wrapped around the thin vial, the clear liquid swirling inside it gently as he held it up in front of him. And.. It was almost almost a conscious thought, hovering just below the dark murky pool inside him as the green eyes stared at the glittering liquid. And.. some of them, sometimes...
"--All other stuff is good too!"
That broke the almost tangible elusive idea -- or a form of a shadow of an idea -- and the green eyes blinked, breaking out of the rather misty hazy look that he was somehow sinking into unknowingly. "Ye-s. I like sour apples though.." Sour apples were green. Nice green. Which somehow brought him the same kind of feeling that he was just about to get before he was jolted back into reality and apple pies by Chou-chan. Something with green. Something...
It was something important. Something reallyreallyreally crucial and Yamagawa felt it in his very core, a sensation much like when he was counting out the cotton balls out the experiments' bodies because if he made even a slight mistake and left one, then it was bad because.. because it hurt and... it was just reeeeally important. And this felt the same to him too, which meant that this was important too. Except that Yamagawa didn't know what it was...
