"I have to say, in every romance novel ever, it's a wonder all those guys aren't nervous wrecks when they go to propose. It's a lot more stressful than you might think." Van said once his heart rate started to return to normal.

Seeing that look on Van's face, Mala smirked right on back and pretended to think on it for a moment. After a couple secconds she purred, "Well, I've got a few ideas if you'd really like to know."

"We could spend the rest of the night resting up and relaxing, if you'd like. I heard about a hot spring not too far from here, which might be nice to try out. We could also find some fancy inn and rent a room if you'd rather just cuddle or something." Mala suggested with a softer smile now.

Angel giggled quietly. "No, silly. I just take after Val more than Alek." She kissed his cheek. "Loves you." Angel gave her best smile and then nuzzled his neck.

"Oo, hot spring does sound nice. I can't remember the last time I had nice hot soak. A nice little mini-getaway for the two of us does sound nice." Van said with a softer smile as well. "Just get out of town and put Riley and the others out of our minds for a bit."
