" Well you're the real tough cookie with a long history
Of breaking little hearts, like the one in me
That's okay let's see how you do it
Put up your dukes, let's get down to it
Hit me with your best shot! "

Her face warmed with a blush as he said that. She was glad her kissing was not bad. She would have VERY embarrassed if it was. " I wasn't kidding...I mean...uh, Grazie." She said quietly the corners of her lips turning up. Oh, how she hated that she was so. She already knew so much about about England and yet she felt like their was so much yet to know. She was going have to crack open the B section of the dictionary tonight. That was how she learned most of her English. She nodded when the explanation of the pastries she liked was given. Where did he get to learn all of these interesting things? She wished that she had more interesting things to talk about...she did have many things to talk about she just felt like her stories were not as interesting as his. "Oh, a doo-nuht? Very awesome. I would love to show up one day and try them." She liked the word 'awesome'. She thought it was an 'awesome' word. Plus it was one of the only American/English slang words that she knew, even though it wasn't actually slang at all.

She smiled at Fionna and Lucas as the walked over. She laughed as Fionna asked that question. "The stuff was very good! I am sad you missed it. If only I had a magical recording watcher device to show to you." She said. She was bad at explaining things she didn't know. Such as the video camera aka the recording watcher device.

She blushed as the explanation of the hand slap was given. "Oh! I get it! They are showing you praise? Oh stop it...you make me blush." She said about to punch him when she realized. She couldn't punch him. It was something she was used to punching people in a friendly way...but since they were technically 'more then friends' she could punch him. She clutched her fist hard and stopped herself. When he talked about a mystery girl she raised an eyebrow. She hadn't been any NEAR the flying classroom. "Uhmm. What? Sorry you seem to be very confused, Caiden. I have never been anywhere near the classroom. And I love Flying...I am just not good. I love being up high. Perhaps you are seeing things?" She offered a sweet smile./size]

Lucas sat down, Fionna on one side, Caiden on the other.
Come to think of it, he had seen a girl in class that looked just like Tierra.
"Naw, Caiden, you're thinking of...I think her name was Kierra? She was in my flying class, but yeah, odd, she does look a lot like you."
Maybe it was just a coincidence? He had seen a lot of girls that looks similar. A lot had brown hair and that perfect skin. Rhi was of course and exception, but maybe it just happened to be that Tierra and Kierra looked a lot a like.

Still, their names were identical except one letter. It was a bit fishy, but none of Lucas's business, so he started eating instead. He smiled at Caiden and it was a nice turn of things to actually be sitting and talking with them. It was amazing how in such a short time, just a few months, things had changed between him and Caiden, and him and Hogwarts, so drastically. It was night and day compared to how he felt on the Hogwarts Express coming here. He'd learned so much already, and so much had already happened. The drama with Rhiannon, then with Fionna, then with Caiden, then things with Richard and Al. Yet he'd gotten through it all with help of course, and now he even had someone to accompany him during the full moon. Not this one since it was so near Christmas, but otherwise, he really did. His mind kept drifting, he was just in a good mood that couldn't be spoiled.

Fionna smiled at Tierra understanding what she meant. "Well I'm sure you will have Caiden doing tons of crazy things. I'll catch one eventually." She said still grinning. She was glad this wasn't very awkward. The had both moved on and were both happy. Now that everything seemed to be settled down the friendship between Caiden and Fi could mend completely or close to it. Fionna would be happy with that.

Fionna tried to remember flying class but she couldn't recall the girl they were talking about. She had been pretty focused on Lucas that class enjoying the time with him. She couldn't remember meeting anybody with the name Kierra either. So many students in the school and she couldn't possibly know them all.

xxxxxHe smiled when he noticed the blush spread over Tierra's face. He rather liked it. She looked adorable that way. She was glad that her kissing wasn't bad, which made him want to laugh even more. But, he suppressed the urge by taking a few more bites of his food. He couldn't help but look at her when she spoke, or smiled, or laughed or sat down... She was just so amazing to him. He shook his head, unable to contain his happiness right then. He wanted to run out into the grounds and shout at the top of his lungs about how happy he was. He wouldn't be able to stop for hours or days either. He just liked her that much. Caiden finished the food on his plate, and moved on to desert, in which he picked up a slice of pumpkin pie. It was very in season, although he as kind of expecting pumpkin cheese cake, since that was one of his mothers specialties. The house elves, although very good cooks, wouldn't have been able to do his mothers cheesecake justice. Tierra finished speaking about the donuts, and how she would have enjoyed visiting one day, and he would have enjoyed it too. "When do you think your nonnie would allow you to come up?" He asked, hoping they would be grateful to send her away with him, since he didn't enjoy the things that Tierra told him about them.

Caiden couldn't help but look over at Fionna. He still felt a little awkward, and he couldn't help but feel something in the pit of his stomach still, but it was faint, and it was nothing compared to the happiness he felt when he was near Tierra right now. He thought she was just incredible, and he wanted that to show all over his face. He smiled to Fionna half-heartedly, knowing very well that he still wasn't fully over her. Tierra would change his mind, hopefully. She would help him to move on. He watched Tierra and her Italian accent take over as she spoke to Fionna. It was quite a mind bender to figure out exactly what she was trying to say with 'magical recording watcher device.' But he finally figured out that she meant video camera, even though those didn't work inside the walls of Hogwarts. He didn't want to embarrass her more, so he just let the subject go. Although, when Fionna responded, he couldn't help but say something back to her. "Hey, be careful there. I don't want you giving miss intellect over here any ideas," he said as he playfully covered her ears as he said what he did. He laughed afterwards, and didn't take his hands off her ears. He wanted see what she would do. She would probably punch him or something, and he didn't mind that at all.

He did finally let go of Tierra's head in order to hear what she had to say next. It was about the hand thing again, and he actually blushed about it. He didn't like to see women as prizes. He respected women and he would for the rest of his life. The only girl he would find worthy of disrespecting would be Rhi for all the horrible things that she had done. He heard about a few of them when he was in the headmistresses office, and he didn't bother questioning anyone about it. He knew that she wasn't a good person, which was exactly why she was put into Slytherin. He hadn't met a nice Slytherin yet, and he was hoping that Rhi wasn't a face for the majority of them. They all seemed a bit cold and cruel, but none of them were to be disrespected in his mind. "Yeah..." he said, not really up to trying to explain how it all worked. It would probably confuse her anyway, and make her frustrated or something. He wasn't going to do that do her. "I suppose you could put it that way. They all should be jealous anyway." he said, hoping that she would take that as a compliment to her.

He didn't seem to understand where all this confusion came from, but Tierra didn't have any clue what he was talking about. He was lost for words, but actually rather relieved that she was comfortable on a broom. He would have had to teach her how to use one properly and conquer a fear, although it seemed like now it was another girl who needed to conquer a fear. What a shame that was. Caiden took a bite of his pie, enjoying the pumpkin flavor, although it could have used some whipped cream. He looked around, and spotted a bowl of the thick whipped cream beside him, noting that the house elves must have known his eating patterns. It was rather amusing. He put some on his pie, and continued to listen to the conversation. Apparently there was a girl named Kierra who looked a lot like Tierra, and Caiden was embarrassed to have mistaken them. He would never let that happen again, since that would just be fatal to his relationship with Tierra. "I'm sorry I got you two confused. Have you seen her, Tierra? She looks an awful lot like you. She's in Ravenclaw I believe." He hoped that Tierra wouldn't take offense to any of this, since Caiden would have if Tierra confused him with another boy. He was glad that he didn't do anything else to the girl. "Do you know anything else, Lucas? Like a last name or anything else they may have in common?" Caiden studied Tierra for a moment, staring at her locket and wondering whether or not he remembered seeing it on the Kierra girl. "I thought I saw that locket on her..." He was rather confused now.

He shook it off, hoping that he wouldn't confuse them again. He wouldn't want to hurt Tierra's feelings over this. He finished up his pie, happy that he had filled himself up. He took a sip of some milk, glad that the house elves knew him so well, and he sighed a little. Caiden reached for Tierra's hand, seeing that it was still clenched pretty tightly. He wondered why it was clenched so hard. He hoped she wasn't mad at him for anything. "You okay?" he asked, a bit worried about her. He wouldn't want any of this to ruin their date tomorrow. He didn't exactly have it all planned out yet, but he would get it planned out tonight. He would hopefully have a song planned out to play for her, some money to buy her dinner and something from honeydukes or elsewhere at hogsmeade, and probably spend some time out by the lake, enjoying the view with her. But, he still wasn't exactly sure if that was what he wanted to do. He didn't want to have it extremely planned out, although he was a planner sometimes. Occasionally, the best dates were unplanned, and still turned out to be very romantic. He squeezed her hand, liking the feel of her small dainty hands.

That's okay let's see how you do it

The piuttosto Italian girl's face broke out in confusion as the blonde boy spoke. She almost choked on her hot chocolate. She put her hand over her mouth and coughed, trying not to cough so loud. She hoped the others weren't worried about her. " 'Scuse me, Mr. Lucas... I mean,..I just...did you just say...Kierra? I am very confused...I do not understand. Are your sure her name is Kierra? Because my name and her name.. they are very similar, no? This is very confusing. I just..." She stopped speaking. She was so confused. What in the name of the lord was going on? Seriously Kierra and Tierra. That was really weird for her, they looked like each other and had similar names...that was weird it was TOO weird.

She smiled at Fionna. "I am sure you will ! You are Lucas are very cute together!" She smiled. This was totally true. They were an adorable couple. She felt an odd tension between Caiden and Fionna. It confused her greatly. She would ahve to ask him later.

She turned towards Caiden. "I am sure she and Nonnio will be happy just to get me out of there. Apparently I am a waste of money and such. So probably as soon as I tell her she will be packing my bags, pretending that she is gonna miss me and loves me oh so much." She stifled an eye roll. Apparently it wasn't 'lady like'. She giggled, Fionna seemed like such a nice person. She laughed as he placed his hands over his ears. "Hey!" She said, but she couldn't resist the urge to punch him. She had to, it was an instinct of self defense her father in the army taught her. When he took his hands off of her head she smiled lightly trying to hide the embarrassment. She clasped her fist with her hand. Why did she have to punch him? She felt all not girly. "Uh..Sorry. It was a habit." She said staring down at the table. She nodded in reply to the question still looking down. "I...suppose." She said queitly still kind of embarrassed.

She was a little bit offended that he couldn't figure out which girl was her, but she got over it. She was just so perplexed my it. A girl who looked just like her. She shook her head. "No I haven't. Oh I am sure she is not me. Ravenclaw? I am not nearly Ravenclaw material it was not me..Huh, this is so strange." She said looking up again. This girl she wanted to ask them if she was prettier then her...she didn't asked because she figured she was. She almost choked again. "A locket?" She said clutching her locket worriedly. "But.I...it's my locket...are you sure?" She felt a hand tighten around hers. "Yeah..yours so sweet. I am fine." She smiled and squeezed his hand in return.

"I don't know about a locket, really. Sorry..." Lucas said.
He hadn't been playing that close attention, he'd been more focused on Fionna. Fionna's smile, her hair, what she was wearing rather than another girl, a Ravenclaw who he didn't really meet. Besides, he'd only heard of her, heard her name spoken. He had a pretty good memory, so he knew that much, but he could've easily said what Fionna had said to him that class, how much she'd smiled. She mattered more to him, not that he was trying to say this Kierra didn't matter. Still, in general, it was weird.

"So, Christmas." He said, turning to look at Fionna and grinning.
"I have been thinking and thinking and I need ideas. Help me out?" He said, trying to seem casual, but he couldn't keep the tiny bit of desperation out of his voice. He needed ideas! He was a guy, how the heck was he supposed to understand the complex way girls think. He couldn't imagine how Tierra felt, knowing there was a copy of her at the school, or maybe she was a copy of this Keirra, was it just a coincidence? He didn't know how Fionna felt day to day or how Al was like once everything ended with Richard. Really, he needed some ideas.

The fact that there was somebody that looked similar enough for Caiden to mistake Tierra for her was quite odd. She knew him quite well and rarely did he make a mistake. "Maybe you should meet her. That could be interesting." Fionna said curiously. It could be truly interesting and Fionna was curious to meet Kierra herself. If there was somebody that looked extremely similar to herself she would definitely want to meet them.

Fionna's smile faltered for a moment when Lucas asked for some ideas about Christmas. She really hadn't thought about anything she would want. She had been busy trying to get Lucas' gifts together. She was about ready to kill Riley. Her notebook had not gotten here yet and she really really needed it. Hopefully it would come with the next mail. "Well, you know I love my art supplies." She said thinking. What did she want? She didn't really need anything for quidditch. Everything was new at the beginning of the year really. She could always use clothes and accessories but Lucas probably wouldn't be too keen on looking for anything like that. Guys never were. "I don't know! Books? Haha" She said honestly. Truly Fionna had not thought about it and really all she cared about was being with Lucas on Christmas. Nothing would get in the way of that.

xxxxxThe thing about her Nonnie and Nonnio really bothered him, How could they be so spiteful to a girl so sweet as Tierra? She did absolutely nothing wrong, and yet they blame her for everything, and they are cruel to her just because she looked like her mother. She wasn't a waste of money, and Caiden would know after tomorrow. He would be spending plenty of money on her tomorrow, and hopefully she wouldn't mind his splurging on her on the first date. His family was rather rich with both his parents working, and having money from his wealthy grand parents. So, he had some change to spare, so to speak. "Well, good then. My mom might have a hard time not having a word with them. She can be quite scary when she wants to be.. I should warn you." He wondered vaguely if Fionna had been listening. She would probably disagree totally with that sentence, since his mother was nothing but nice to her the whole time they were there. She even understood and let them leave when the whole Riley incident happened. She wanted Caiden to learn from his mistakes, but she knew that she made a mistake herself not making them stay to clear things up. She had written Fionna's mother a few times, but the responses were short and sweet, not really getting much accomplished. They were both just looking out for their kids. Suddenly, after he had let his hands fall, he felt his arm get punched, and he laughed at it. Something about when she punched him really made him smile. He adored her strength. "Hey, don't apologize for that. It just gives me a reason to do this." Caiden wasn't sure if she was ticklish, but most of the girls he knew were. If not, he could just pinch her, and it would have the same effect. Caiden reached around her sides and poked her lightly and playfully, laughing about it as he did so.

He stopped when he started listening about this girl being mentioned again. Caiden tensed up a little to hear Tierra ask questions about the girl. He was embarrassed enough to have confused the two of them, and now he felt worse knowing that Tierra knew about it now. He sighed, feeling bad about this whole thing. Thinking back to the incident, though, they didn't look... exactly alike. Sure, they looked very similar, but Caiden could pick up on the subtle differences. Either way, Tierra was definitely prettier than this Kierra girl. Or at least she was in his opinion. Caiden was very biased about the situation though. Fionna had brought up a good point, and Caiden nodded. Tierra should meet the girl. Maybe Rose knew her? That would be a huge start. He started to look around, wondering if she was anywhere in sight. But he stopped, hoping he hadn't made too much of a fool of himself. "She's in Ravenclaw, right? Maybe Rose can set you up? I think it would be best if you met this.. other girl."

Tierra seemed rather upset when she heard about this girl and the locket. Caiden would have been upset too to know about a clone of himself out there with a locket he had from his mother. Of course, his mother was alive, so it wouldn't have been the same. Tierra's had died of cancer, and he still felt bad about it the whole thing. Caiden shook the thought out of his mind, trying to be brought back to the situation. "Is there anything I can do to help you?" he asked, squeezing her hand again to encourage her and to make her feel less alone. This would have been quite an experience for anyone. He didn't want her to be mad about this, or to feel less important with this other girl in the building. She was probably new, probably obviously not Tierra, and probably just different in general. But, he wouldn't want to give Tierra any false hopes. Maybe there was something about the girl that no body seemed to know, and he was longing to find out the facts. But, this was Tierra's look alike, not his own, and he needed to respect the decisions that she made on this situation. He knew that if he didn't, he would loose her respect big time.

Of breaking little hearts, like the one in me
That's okay let's see how you do it
Put up your dukes, let's get down to it
Hit me with your best shot! "

Tierra did not have the most loving grandparents..but she didn't hate them or wish them to be dead. They were good people who were doing bad things. She nodded slightly. She laughed. She was scared to anger his mother. She repeated that thought out loud. " Remind me NOT to catch your mom on a bad day." She smiled. She was sightly more calm and such. She would never do anything to anger his parents...at least she wouldn't TRY to. She raised her eyebrow. What was he talking about? Wasn't he mad that she punched him or something? She thought it was a bad thing. "I do not know what you are talking about an-."She didn't finish when he started poking her sides and she began to laugh almost uncontrollably. She was SUPER ticklish. She giggled giddily. "Hahahaha....Stop....hahaha...it t-tickies...stoooopp!!!" She said cheerfully as he tickled her more. She caught her breath as he stopped tickling her.

She sighed when Lucas said he didn't know about a locket. That locket was a GIFT from her DEAD mother. How could this girl have got it. Fionna had a good idea. To meet her. She would love to do that. She needed to give this chick a piece of her mind. "This girl is she an imposter? She must be trying to impersonate me or something. But why? My life is not nearly as interesting as all of yours. I would love to meet her." She said rubbing her cheek. She noticed that Fionna and Lucas started talking about Christmas. She tried to listen but she couldn't focus on that...She was to focused on this whole other girl concept.

Was this girl trying to steal her life? Her identity? This was madness! Some girl with a name that was eeriely similar to her own, at Hogwarts about the same time she was, who looked JUST like her AND had her locket. This girl could have everyhting she wanted from her. Her name, her house but their were a few things she could not take from her 1. Her father whom she loved 2. The imposter's locket 3. Caiden 4. Her new friends. She could NOT take those but everything else was hers as long as she didn't touch those.

Rose? Why did that name ring a bell? Then it clicked. "That girl! I carried her to the Hospital Wing when she was unconcious! Oh mio dio! I hope she is alright? She is a Ravenclaw...si. I will ask her if I can find her. If my memory is correct she was a perfect. But I am unsure." She said with a nod. She smiled as he held her hand tighter. Help? "I am not sure if you can...this girl. I am afriad that she might. It sounds silly but like, steal my life? Or something? It is very very well, scary. She HAS a locket. How did she get one. My mom gave it to me after she..uhm...left this place for a better one. She gave it to ME and I am wearing it. I am just...I sound very not strong but, scared a bit."She never thought in a million years that she would be scared. She was never scared. Well she was but she never told anyone. She shot Caiden a fearful look of lost hope.

Lucas was talking to Fionna, but he couldn't help but notice Tierra being worried.
"Don't worry, Tierra. Just talk to her, I'm sure you two will work something out." He said gently. Her precious necklace reminded him a bit of how Rhiannon had those pearls when her dad was taken away only to be later...ugh. He wouldn't want to imagine Tierra screaming over the necklace as Rhiannon had. Lucas didn't really have anything but scars to remind him of his past. Perhaps that was best, he didn't want to be sentimental about it. He didn't want to remember it, even though he always would. He didn't need anything to remind him of the pain that he felt enough.

He turned back to Fionna.
"Alright, art supplies. What book, though? Be specific because I honestly don't think I could ever pick out something good enough. I got pretty lucky on that necklace."
He smiled warmly. The necklace was back to pink and it really looked like it would be staying that way for a while. So long as he was around, it'd be stuck on that color.

Tierra seemed really worried about this girl. It was a bit odd, but she found it very unlikely that she was trying to steal her identity. Fionna thought it was probably just coincidence. "I'm sure it is all just a misunderstanding. I doubt she even knows who you are! I mean you've never even met." Fionna said trying to help ease Tierra's worries. Lots of people have lockets. Fionna even has one hidden away from her father but she doesn't wear it. It's in a special box with a few other things that were special to him.

Fionna tried not to think too much about what Caiden and Tierra were talking about really. His mom was truly a kind and sweet lady. She couldn't remember a bad moment with her. She turned her attention to Lucas and focused on him when Caiden started tickling Tierra.

Fionna's face went back into thinking mode and she put her hand on her chin and rubbed it as was the famous thinking pose. "Oh Gosh. Well, You know how I love a certain magical creature. I've also become quite interested in magical and muggle law as of late." She said with a smile not wanting to get too specific on the werewolf thing in front of Tierra. She doubted it was luck that led Lucas to the necklace. It was just perfect. Fionna was just drawing a blank on what she might want.

The conversation that had taken place in the courtyard between Joyce and he had shocked him a little bit. He wanted to ask her more about her siblings, but she was right, it was getting late, and it wasn't his place to hold her for so long. Besides, she had opened up to him, and that was all he wanted. But, something told him that she wasn't going to stay open for too long if he didn't keep prying. That was his goal, wasn't it? To change her? Bryce was walking down the hall way, towards the great hall. He had finished his feeding just hours ago, but he had human responsibilites to keep his human body from starving, and although the hunger was not nearly as severe, he still had to eat at least once every two days. Sometimes even more. His Mum tried to force food down his throat every time he walked into a room, and he couldn't stand that. Three meals a day? That was a little overboard. He didn't drink blood three times a day, did he? Well, he wished he could have, but it just wasn't possible for him, if he wanted to keep his supply up and not have to send for more for his father. Anyway, the boy, very absent-mindedly headed to the great hall, ignoring students as they passed by. Some ignored him now, which intrigued him, but for the majority of the time, he was the one doing the ignoring.

Bryce took a few steps into the great hall, investigating what there was to be seen, and he didn't like it. There were tons of students in the great hall, and because it was the middle of dinner time, they wouldn't be clearing any time soon. No matter, the hufflepuffs would move away from him and try to give him a little space for himself. They wouldn't want a vampire taking their souls, let alone their lives, now would they? Of course, it wouldn't be him doing the damage. No, that was against the rules. But, he could make somehting happen to them. When he took a seat, right on cue, the girl he sat next to slid down with her friend on the other bench, looking at him as if he were crazy. They were a bit older than him, by two or three years by the looks of things, but either way, it still made him proud on the inside to know that his mystery still scared even the older kids.

As he looked around, there was really almost nothing that pleased his nose. He looked at the golden dish of potatoes in front of him, and his nose turned up. Where was there a juicy rare stake for him to enjoy? Nowhere. "No meat for the vampire?" he said, watching carefully. Right like that, a steaming hot steak appeared on his plate, pink on the inside, just like he liked it. He started to cut it up into strips, showing his class as a vampire, and as a human being really. He wasn't a savage, nor was he a beast unless he wanted to be. So, he showed class, which made him more of a mystery. As he chewed on his first bite, happy to take part of the delicious masterpiece, his eyes wandered over to the entrance, and right on cue, Joyce walked into the room. He hoped she would see him, but if not, it wasn't a concern of his. He wasn't about to wave his arms like an idiot to get her attention.

Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows.
Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom, the children play.
The stars gleam, the poets dream, the eagles fly, without you.
The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you.

Joyce was tired, sad, worried, emotions she had never felt in years. She was so confused. It wasn't like her to feel like this. But she knew perfectly well why she did. It was that she was getting close to someone again. Bryce. She really liked him, he was a...no. No friends. That's just not proper, what are you doing Joyce?
She was constantly having nightmares about Rosebud now. She kept picturing that rotting face, and when she woke up, the smell that filled her nostrils was just like that of the body decaying that she remembered. Bryce filled in the hole to her grave and patted the earth down. Her grave read "Joyce Heffer. Former sister. Former friend. Died, Age 7."
But she wasn't 7...but that was truly when she left it all behind, wasn't it?

She walked into the Great Hall, curtsied to Bryce, and sat down beside him.
"Good morning, Mister Bryce." She said formally. Her eyes just fell on her plate. She wasn't eating.

Without you, the breeze warms, the girl smiles, the cloud moves.
Without you, the tides change, the boys run, the oceans crash.
The crowds roar, the days soar, the babies cry, without you.
The moon glows, the river flows, but I die, without you.

Well, he got what he wished for. Bryce nodded as she sat down, and watched her eyes carefully. She didn't seem to be in the mood to eat, but that didn't bother him anyway. He continued to eat his steak slowly, chewing each piece carefully to not choke himself. The thing that bothered him, though, was that Joyce was never spotted eating, or at least, he had never spotted her eating. That was a mystery to him. That was when it came to him. For some reason, eating, and laughter came to him. If he could get her to laugh some how, then he would feel complete about his goal. Bryce would only need to get her to laugh. "So. Is that fifteen inch waist of yours due to the fact that you don't eat?" he asked, staring off into space, not wishing to watch her face. It was better if he didn't look at her. Besides, it wasn't like she was going to look at him or anything. Or, not where he wanted her to look, anyway.

He continued eating, still, eating the last few pieces of his steak, and grabbing the napkin by his plate. He wiped his mouth very thoroughly, just to be sure he hadn't left any blood on his face from before. When he touched his goblet in front of him, it filled with whole milk, and that was never a surprise. That was what he always drank when we was here, since there wasn't really anything else that appealed to him. Sweet drinks, pops, coffee, they were all just not pleasing. He took a small sip of the goblet, then set it back down, still not thrilled by the taste. He never had been. "Do you even eat? I mean, you probably eat like... celery, or salad all day, right?" He wondered if she would get defensive, and that would be even better than stirring a laugh. That would show that her real self was peaking through, and he liked that. She had a good soul, and although Bryce never surrounded himself with people like that, it was better for her to be good than it was for her to be bad and evil like he could be, or his father. Yes, there were things about his father that he loved, but there were some thigns just so cruel that even Bryce couldn't handle it. His father had killed three muggles out of bloodlust, and one witch. They never prosecuted him, because that was back before they had any controll over the vampire race. Lucifer was old, very old. Vampires did age, just much slower than humans and wizards. Lucifer, although he only looked to be in his 40s, he was really more like 600 years old. It was quite a mystery.

Joyce sat down and started to eat a piece of bread. She shook her head when Bryce asked his question, it was because of her corset, he knew that. Still...something odd happened when he talked about what she ate.
She laughed.
She just...laughed. Emotion that had just been welling up inside her, all her feeling everything she did just kinda burst forth. She laughed for just a couple moments and then her eyes widened a bit. She hadn't laughed in...years. Yes, years. She started panicking a bit, she clapped a hand to her mouth, stood up, and gave a very, very low curtsy, so that her bonnet almost fell off. It hung forward a bit, showing the back of her hair, slipping. She crammed it back on her head, looked at the floor with fear.
"I...I'm so so sorry...Please forgive me, I...I don't know what came over me." She stammered.

She tried to keep her face steady, and for the most part she succeeded, but her eyes were shaking and so were her hands. Had that laugh really been hers? She didn't know? It sounded...hoarse, like she hadn't laughed in a while. But it was also a cute laugh, it was kinda a giggle.
"I'm so sorry. So sorry, Mister Bryce." She repeated, curtsying even lower so that the hem of her dress was skimming the floor.
