Ky couldn't help but feel like he was running several races at once. The main race at the moment was simply to get out of the Pokemon Center and run as far away as he could; the embarrassment of waking up in such a manner as to cause everyone to circle around him like some side-show was overwhelming to say the least. Not only that, but Ky's mind was in such a mess just trying to get his panic and logic to work themselves out, running aimlessly seemed to be the most productive thing he could do at the tome. Rex, unsure of how to act, just grumbled in Ky's arms, unhappy and confused after being waken up so prematurely.

The sun still had yet to break Goldenrod's horizon, so the streets were dark and understandably empty. Having felt he ran far enough away to manage some sense of peace, Ky stopped at a light post in front of a random set of apartments. Letting Rex down, Ky sat with his back against the cool steel of the street light, panting lightly as he cleared his mind, sorting out all of the "races" that were running in his head. First off was the train station; thinking back, Ky knew he should've asked directions from Nurse Joy while he was there, but to his luck, he had remembered the station's general direction after studying a city directory on his way to the MegaMart. If his luck played out, just heading that way would hopefully reveal signs to point him the rest of the way. The next race that came to Ky's mind was just how he would make his way to Fortree City. The thought immediately brought him to pull off his backpack, digging frantically to find the Town Map he'd stowed away so recklessly before. Though the map had acquired quite a few extra creases, Ky was happy to eventually find it. Opening it, Ky scanned the Hoenn region for the biggest cities nearby (ones that he'd suspect to have a train station).

"Looks like Slateport is my best bet," Ky muttered, glancing over at Rex with alert but tired-looking eyes. "I don't think anything other than Rustboro would have one." Standing up, Ky's heart continued to pound as he remembered what he was setting out to do. "Sorry Rex; we gotta go. I'll make sure to let you sleep on the ride there," Ky sighed with a sympathetic grin as he picked up his confused and slightly irritated Totodile. Rex figured it could've been worse. Being carried was much better than having to tag along on foot, and a whole lot better than having to be stored in a Pokeball. Even so, it would've been nice to be able to sleep on the way there. If Ky broke his promise to give him the time to rest on the train, he would give his trainer a bite to remember; that was for sure. After finally catching his breath, Ky stood up, gulping in determination. Then, giving one last relaxed sigh, he jumped into a speedy jogging pace, racing to find Goldenrod's train station.

Milo took in a moment to sample the gentle breeze of freedom, but only for a moment. The hospital sirens were blasting, all but drowned out by the raging wildfire from inside his former 'lodging'. It let off a beautiful glow, one that the boy couldn't help but gaze lovingly into. "Our little baby." he giggled to no one in particular as he took cover in a nearby bush, smiling as the people down at the hospital scrambled to douse the flames.

"Sweetie!" Milo jumped at the sudden voice, his gloves flaring up in reflex. He whipped around, ready to burn the offenders face off, whoever it was, but instead he was pulled into a...hug?

"Oh, it's you." Milo said with slight annoyance as Karen squeezed him hard. He squirmed in her grip, forcibly freeing himself from her arms.

Karen scoffed at his rudeness. "Is that any way to treat your mother who just risked her own neck busting you out of a psychiatric ward?" Her motherly tone was enforced by a very stern frown. Milo looked back, his guiltless expression doing all the speaking for him. "Oh, it's you." she said with an even deeper frown when she realized just who she was talking to.

"Yes. It's me, your other son." the boy replied unamused, holding out his hand. "Our Pokemon please." He tapped his foot impatiently.

Karen glanced at the bag in her hands, then back at her son. His eyes were empty, completely devoid of the usual energy she saw in him. It was like he wasn't even there. It was like this Milo creature had swallowed him up. Once again Mrs. Kyoka felt conflicted. She didn't trust this demon that had possessed her son, but if Mike was in there... Karen slowly held out the back, which was quickly snatched from her by Milo. He threw it over his shoulder and walked off without so much as a word. A few steps later, he turned, an arrogant smile playing on his lips.

"You know," he chuckled. "You are the textbook case of an enabler." Milo let out a wicked cackle and strode off.

Karen lowered her head in defeat as she saw what used to be her loving son walk off, laughing at all the destruction and chaos he had caused. How could this have happened? Did she raise him incorrectly? Was she a bad mother? No, if there was one thing she was good at, it was being a caring mother, and she'd continue to do that until the day she died. She would stick by him no matter what, and be there in case he needed her again. One day her baby would return to her, just like he used to after a long day of adventure at Mt. Chimney. He would burst through the door, his eyes alight with the thrill of discovery and adventure. His smile would light up the room as he told the stories of his trip, stumbling over words and flailing his arms around like he always did. One day she would see him not covered in his own blood, with that sadistic smile on his face. It broke her heart to see him like this. Mike's psychiatrist warned her about this. He said that Mike was building up to a self destructive episode, but she didn't listen. "Your son displays dangerously obsessive tendencies," he said. "If left unchecked, the stress will really begin to manifest as severe behavioral disorders." How right he was. But even he wouldn't have been able to predict just how severe an episode it would be. If she only knew then what she knew now. If only... Karen figured she had better leave before they threw her in there. After a hurried packing, she vanished into the night.

"Finally we can start getting things done around here." Milo mused, ducking low in the outlying bushes to avoid being seen. As he snuck along however, he noticed an all too familiar sight. It was that winged idiot! "He's still here!?" Milo gasped with a laugh. "Unbelievable! What a moron!" He was all but alone. This was just too perfect a case to pass up. Sliding his backpack over his arms, Milo readied himself, the silver haired boy in his sights. He took off after him, letting out a hysterical shriek of laughter as he leaped into the air and tackled the boy to the ground. "HhhhEE-HEE-HEE-HEE! You just couldn't stay away could you?!" he cackled, his toothy smile wide with pleasure as he stared into Mazarin's eyes with his own unblinking psychotic gaze. "Don't you remember what we told you last time we met?" He pinned his arms to the ground and laughed once more.

"It won't be much longer, thank god," Keegan grumbled, completely missing the joking tone in Riza's voice. He was actually handling this trip better than usual, though that didn't mean he wanted to stay on the wretched thing any longer than necessary. "By the way, that Swift is looking good," he added with a bit of a nod. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ralts doesn't normally learn Swift on its own, right? Did you get yours from a breeder or something?"

He looked over as the small blonde girl approached them, seemingly having found the courage to speak again. "Hey," he replied, once again eying the newly evolved Marshtomp. Helios greeted the two of them with a soft bark, his nine tails swaying all around him. "I've been better," the redhead continued, flexing his arms a little and instantly regretting the action as pain shot throughout his upper torso. "You look like you've seen better days as well," he said, gesturing to the pinkish scar on her wrist. "You doing okay?" Wait, what? He stopped himself there, and shook his head a little. You're doing it again, he scolded himself. Stop caring about others, it's easier this way. He scoffed and looked back over the water as the Lilycove shoreline began to creep into view. "I see your little Mudkip has gone and grown up too," he added idly after a moment or two, and he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. "Congratulations." There was a definite coldness in his tone now and he did nothing to mask it. All he wanted right now was to plant his feet firmly on solid ground again.
=====
Miharu pursed her lips when she saw the copies surround Lily, though she didn't really look worried. By now she had familiarized herself with the Linoone's battle tactics and she was vaguely aware of the fact that while it was quite the little speed demon, it certainly lacked the defensive prowess to back it up. I reckon it wouldn't take too many hits to bring it down, the small, green-haired girl thought as she watched the five Linoone copies practically blur together. She had the option to withdraw Lily as well, but she knew that if she were to take that course of action, the sassy little Bulbasaur would snub her for at least a week.

The small girl straightened up, knowing the only way out of this mess was to get rid of the Linoone's clones. They were just copies after all, holding no real stamina whatsoever, and she raised her hand. This is a bit risky, but it should definitely work in my favor, at least for now... "Okay Lily, Petal Dance! Do it!"

Another cheeky grin was visible on the Bulbasaur's face only seconds before a burst of beautiful, pink cherry blossom petals erupted from the bulb on her back. The Seed Pokemon began to dance amid the storm of blossoms, seemingly controlling it and forcing it to grow wider with every step she took. Okay I gotta hand it to Lily... she's really mastered this move, Miharu thought, remembering how when the Bulbasaur first hatched, all she wanted do do was use her Petal Dance move.

While Luffy was enjoying Nurse Joys company Robin had wondered over to where an empty couch was and just fell down onto it. All of her usual energy just seemed to seep out of her. She had no energy or feeling to really do anything right now. It might be because she had the distinct impression that Luffy would be leaving her now, or the fact that she had basically just had her self confidence shattered and run through the mud. It was probably some sort of combination of the two but still she was a mess and she knew it. Groaning she rolled over onto her stomach and rested face down into the couch.

While Robin might not have noticed the people who had been staring at her and Luffy as they walked in some of the trainers were itching to talk to her. She had one of the new Sinnoh pokemon after all. She must be a tough trainer or one that knew what she was doing. Maybe she had more? Or maybe they could battle her. So it was no surprise that Robin didn't hear one of them approach her and started to loom over her staring with wide eyes down at the miserable girl. Robin really only noticed when she felt a poke to her sides.

"Not now Luffy."

Poke.

"Luffy I said not now."

Poke.

Growling somewhat a little irritated, couldn't he see that she was upset? She turned to glare at her offender only to be surprised to see that it was a lanky teenager with buggy eyes who was jabbing her. "Oh, your not Luffy." She muttered stupidly. Sitting up she looked at the other with a somewhat confused expression on her face. "Is there anything I can do for you?"

The teen just stared at her causing the redhead to shift uneasily. Just when she was about to ask him again he finally spoke up. "You were the one who walked in with the Sinnoh pokemon right?"

Robin was confused for a moment until she realized he was talking about Luffy. "Oh yeah, that's me."

"I want to battle you."

"Yeah well I don't want to battle you." Robin muttered, no she did not feel like battling, she felt like going to sleep and never waking up. Sarah and Jayme were right she had no right to call herself a pokemon trainer and the only reason she had been winning so far was because her pokemon did all the work.

"If you are a pokemon trainer you cannot back down from another trainers challenge." The buggy eyed man countered slowly.

Growling slightly Robin felt her irritation begin to rise. "Well I don't think I want to be a trainer any more." She muttered.

"Can I have your Sinnoh pokemon then?"

"What? No you can't have Luffy." She wanted to hold onto him as long as she could even though she knew he would be miserable staying with her. Sighing she ran a hand through her hair before getting up. "Fine, fine I'll battle you." She muttered.

"Time to get going," she decided taking a quick detour to change into her swimsuit before placing her normal wear back over it. Slateport's beaches were lovely, but she had had no time to go swimming. Or even near the water as the whole stupid Rocket event had occured. I'll take a swim. Ivy will enjoy the sand and Sapphir with like the sun. It'll be perfect, she thought with a smile.

"Nurse Joy?" she asked emerging once more from the back into the lobby. It was rather quiet. Perhaps Joy was taking a lunch break or something, not that had ever happened before. Joy was always somewhere in the vicinity and never strayed too far from sight. Oh well. She sribbled a quick note that read:

Out to the beach. Call me of you need me.
~ Mitsu

P.S. Don't worry. I'm fine.

"Please give this to a boy with black hair and a yellow shirt if he comes in," Mitsu said handing it to a Chansey who happened to walk by. "Ah! His name's Kilik. He might have an Electabuzz with him." And with that she gave a small wave to the pink Pokemon before waltzing outside.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 16, 2009 3:57 pm

It was a short stroll to the beach, not many people were out and about, which was ratherodd for the busy port city of Lilycove. There should have been ladies out with shopping bags drapped across thier arms, men trying to act buff but failing horribly, old women selling flowers, and there was always an old couple meandering along content just to have each other's company, blissfuly happy and unaware of thier own surroundings. Yet all of it was missing. The cry of an Aggron pierced the quiet atmosphere, Kilik's no doubt.

Steel Pokemon sure do seem tough. Perhaps I should get one, she though idly while walking to the sandy side of the beach. Once she had found a suitable spot she threw off her shirt and jacket and her skirt, leaving her in her bikini top and board short, both of which were, of course, purple. She folded the clothes before stuffing them into her now lighter bag and removed a towel to sit on.

"I suppose I should see if anyone's got any new attacks and stuff," Mitsu mumbled to herself taing out her shiny, red Pokedex. She released all her Pokemon but Nightmare for the time being. Th robotic voice began to speak, "Gardevior. Healing Wish, heart scale required. Wish, Magical Leaf, and Captivate at level 53."

"Ivysaur. Skull Bash. Solar Beam at level 44."

"Gengar. Sucker Punch. Shadow Punch. Payback. Dark Pulse at level 44, Destiny Bond at level 50."

"Houndoom. Thunder Fang, Heart Scale required. Fire Fang. Embargo. Nasty Plot at level 60."

"Pidgeotto. Feather Dance. Roost at level 42, Tail Wind at level 47, and Air Slash at 57. "

She looked up Nightmare as well, not wanting to hear the droning voice any longer.

"Gyrados. Thrash, Ice Fang, Aqua Tail."

"Good enough," she decided before placing the machine back into her bag. She'd relax a bit, rather glad with the new attacks. She smiled enjoying the sun. "Maybe I'll train soon. Ivy's pretty close to getting Solar Beam," she mused throwing Nightmare's Pokeball in her hand.

Sere noticed Keegan's line of sight go to her wrist and she examined it herself. "I have seen better days for sure. This is just a little something to remember Mike by." She said her voice soft. She noticed that there seemed to be a conflict inside the red head, although he managed to notice George, who couldn't help but pose after being commented on. Sere chuckled a bit. "Yeah, he's proud of himself." She smiled. "I am too."

He seemed to turn a bit colder, and she wondered if more happened yesterday than she remembered. There was a flash of a memory of Kasiya screaming after him. 'Oh. Yeah. Can't imagine how it felt when she picked Mike over him.' Sere thought. She lowered her head. The ninetails caught her attention once more.

"Speaking of proud, is your ninetails newly evolved too? He sure is amazing." She said admiring the soft fur of the fox-like pokemon.

"You're... giving me... an egg?" M.A. gaped, surprised by this turn of events. All she had been expecting upon coming home was maybe some lunch. No food in sight, unless they scrambled some Tropius.

"Yup!" Rein answered cheerfully. Sae said nothing. Rein's Tropius, Maxine, hovered behind them, her head bowed under the ceiling, mirroring the worry on Sae's face. "Come, sit, sit."

"Wait, you're serious? Are you sure...?" the brunette asked, sitting with her legs crossed on one of the stools. She looked kinda nervous, really.

"Ye-"

"No," Sae interrupted, brow creased. M.A. felt her heart drop a little; she was accustomed to her brother sugar-coating things or at least half-teasing. "Mary-Anne," he said -- another sign he was quite serious, for he almost never said her full name -- "we all know how... accident-prone you are. Do you think you can handle a living egg?" His eyes investigated his sister's face, which clouded over with doubt in a second. In truth, she wasn't sure if she would be a capable surrogate mother... she tended to lose things, a lot, you see. And she knew very well how forgetful and irresponsible she tended to be. It never really bothered her, but with a baby at stake?

When M.A. couldn't find the words to say, Rein spoke up once more. "This little one has been overdue for a long while now. Over a month. It only reacts to its mother -- Maxine, here -- but seems to shy to hatch even for her. I wondered if someone else's touch might, y'know, lure it out. It's not healthy for it to stay in so long. What do you say? Would you give it a try?"

So many questions, M.A. thought to herself, from both outside and inside of herself. She gulped, then decided to say the first thing that came to mind. "I-I would like to try," she said earnestly, a bit nervous from the interrogation. "Can I try?"

"Of course!" Rein said with a broad grin on her face. The lavender-haired girl had watched the brunette for a while now, read her body language. As detached as she was mentally, she was fairly affectionate to her family and her Pokemon. Had good intentions and often unconsciously placed herself in a position to help those she cared about, although she didn't care about much and shied away from anything vaguely uncomfortable. Wasn't overheated, laughed off frustration, handled irritation well, had a general maternal feel. Was pretty forgetful, but she did have Ulani and Diego with her, both of whom were more or less keen. She had her faults, but Rein trusted her enough.

"Why don't you go on a test-run first?" Sae suggested, still not entirely agreeing with Rein's choice. He loved his sister dearly but had seen too many of her blunders to feel confident with even her holding an egg. All of her Pokemon thus far could weasel out of the trouble she got them all into, but a baby sure wouldn't. And what if she dropped the egg? Too plausible. "Today, me and Rein have to do some business with our contractors about our conditioning salon, but maybe you could take care of the egg with Maxine for a day and enjoy the beach? See if the egg responds to you. If Maxine consents to giving her baby to you, then my conscience be at peace."

The Linoone seemed fascinated by the incoming wave petals, but Blanca yelled at her not to get distracted and use her "illusions" quickly. It was a shame they'd have to lose her Double Team so soon, but ah well, you couldn't cry over spilled milk. The Linoone copies gave a blurred nod to Blanca's command before breaking into a slightly faster run, becoming a indistinguishable striped circle that was slightly wider than its previous circle around the Bulbasaur. To the human eye, the Linoone seemed fainter, flickering oddly and irregularly. Blanca smiled nevertheless; so she didn't have it down perfectly, but it was good enough.

The cherry blossoms crashed viciously into the striped circle, and instantaneously it disappeared entirely; no Linoone clone was left, oddly enough.

Ah, but there was one now, running top-speed at the Bulbasaur from the side with a crown ready to Headbutt. For one not paying close attention, they would not have noticed a single Linoone sneaking out from the Double Team circle long ago; the image of her stripes had been impressed into any spectator's retinas, although it had been imperfect by all means. Blanca had missed the transition herself, having been watching the pretty little Bulbsaur dance. She knew the real Linoone would run to the corner of the rink, though, and so did not need to look and give away the Pokemon's position.

Now, the Linoone grunted as it hit the storm of sharp petals, although she grit her teeth and did not slow as she neared the Bulbasaur's side.

"Bob, use Quick Attack!" Tallness seemed to be getting a little pumped as he gave the command, his fists were clenched tightly.

Bob, with the speed of light on his side, was immediately in the Cyndaquil's face, ready to deliver the blow. Or at least he thought he was. It was apparent that the Smokescreen was still bothering the Pokemon as he missed the mark completely, and received a mouth full of pavement.

"Tackle again Pizza." Jomei told his partner. This Smokescreen is really working, he thought, getting excited. Pizza hasn't taken a hit yet. The boy really felt like he could win this battle and his depressed face from moments before, quickly turned to an idiotic grin.

Pizza threw himself at the Sentret for the second time, sending the Scout Pokemon flying back onto the cement once again. The fire type also felt as though victory was an easily tangible thing now and he snorted in the opponent's direction, ready for more.

"You haven't even hit him yet!" Rotundness shouted to his tall friend with a laugh.

"I thought I told you to shut up." Tallness answered back, coolly. "I don't see you battling out here!" He turned back to the battle in front of him. "Bob, Quick Attack again!"

Bob was certainly getting tired of eating concrete, but did what he was told, releasing his speedy attack onto the Fire Mouse. This time there was a connection, and it was the scout's turn to watch his opponent fly backwards onto the hard ground. Obviously proud that he had finally hit the Pokemon, he stood high on his tail, putting his hand on his hips and pushing his chest out.

Damnit, he finally took a hit, Jomei thought, backing up a bit as Pizza caught himself on the ground close in front of him. If only he knew another offensive move besides Tackle... The boy had been at least smart enough to look up his Cyndaquil's moves before starting his journey. He couldn't be bothered to look up anything else of course. He took a deep breath, the released a heavy sigh. "Use Tackle... Again."

Pizza did as he was told and ran face first into the Sentret for a third time, knocking it off its high horse.

Bob used all of his energy to try and pull himself from the ground again, but just found it to be too tiring. He fell back down to the pavement and curled his stripped tail around his face. He was done battling for today.

Tallness watched in shock as his Pokemon was defeated. He was still a new trainer but this was his first time losing a battle. He recalled Bob to his Pokeball and began to walk towards the purple haired boy and his Cyndaquil. He stuck out his hand for a friendly handshake.

We won? Yeah! Jomei couldn't tear the goofy smile from his face, although he did try, he didn't want to be rude. When Tallness, and now Rotundness, approached him he took the boy's hand and the exchanged a firm shake. "Good battle." he said, still grinning like a fool.

"Yeah." Tallness, who revealed his name to be Frank(Not that Jomei would remember it), answered. "You're lucky that I decided to go easy on you and use one of my newly caught Pokemon." He jested. "It's only because you're a newbie."

Jomei didn't have time to respond, because just like that the two boys made their leave of them. Jomei shrugged and turned to Pizza. "Great job!" he praised, lifting the fire type from the ground and giving him a hug. "I bet you're hungry, huh? Hmmm, let's get some... Pizza!"

"Quiiil!"

Even though the Growlithe hadn't been as tough as the other two Pokemon, Kasiya was still glad to see it fall. She could hear more alarms blaring and there was a general sense of urgency throughout the hospital. She took a deep breath and adjusted her backpack a bit on her good shoulder, moving towards the remaining flight of stairs. The guard who'd sent out the Growlithe now recalled his Pokemon and had was now paying attention to his two-way radio. "Guys, forget her, we've got bigger problems," he shouted, though his two comrades didn't seem to keen on that idea. The Lickitung was ordered to perform a Slam attack while the Ariados received commands for a Sludge Bomb.

Kasiya raised her hand to try and give her own Pokemon commands, but no actual words were formed, and instead she just kind of babbled a bit. Seto and Casimir, however, took that as a cue to do it their own way, as both Pokemon were clever enough to get themselves through this fight. The Persian growled angrily as the Lickitung's long, gross tongue smacked him across the chest, and the feline responded by leaping at the pink Pokemon, growling angrily as all his claws found their way into the plushy flesh of the Lickitung. Casimir, meanwhile, had decided that his trainer's previous command was the perfect move to do again, and he deftly jumped up into the air, avoiding the spray of poison gunk from the Ariados, only to launch another blade of powerful energy at the spider. It scuttled back, legs waving around all over the place before it collapsed onto its belly.

"C'mon Kirk, we better go," the Ariados guard called, recalling his spider. He began to retreat back up the stairs after the first guard, even as the Lickitung ambled down the stairs, not at all afraid of the Persian that had just Slashed him or the Absol that had taken out his battling partner.

The owner of the Lickitung glared down the stairs at Kasiya, then up at the other two. "She could be connected to that Kyoka maniac. You two go, I'm going to apprehend her." There seemed to be a sense of agreement there and he continued down the stairs after Kasiya.

The battle girl let out an angered yell as she saw the Gust slam into her Meditite, and though it wasn't the strongest of attacks, it had severely weakened the Meditate Pokemon. "No fair!" she grumbled, pointing at the butterfly. "I bet you won't like this! Give it your Hidden Power!" she shouted. The Meditite nodded and brought its hands together, a curious red glow encompassing them as it thrust them outward, several orbs of fiery energy spilling out towards the butterfly.

"Hidden Power... fire?!" Jaeshan exclaimed as the three flaming orbs smashed into Butterfree. Though a super-effective hit, it wasn't as powerful as it could have been, and Butterfree let out an angry growl, her multifaceted eyes narrowed in anger. She didn't enjoy having her wings practically singed off. "Alright, let's end this," the blonde grumbled, closing his eyes. "Psybeam." At first, he was planning to have Butterfree use Psychic, but he had second thoughts about it and didn't think he needed to commit overkill. A multi-coloured ball of light formed between the butterfly's 'hands' and she pushed off with her wings, sending the psychic beam flying towards the Meditite.

"...wow," the battle girl said, blinking slowly as she recalled her Pokemon. "Maybe you really aren't a cheater after all." She tapped her fingers against her hip thoughtfully. "Well, if you can use Flash, then that means you either have the... Boulder Badge from Pewter City or the Zephyr Badge from Violet City. Which is it?" She seemed to have calmed down significantly now that she'd lost (which was a bit of a switch, or so Jaeshan thought, at least).

"Boulder Badge," Jaeshan answered quickly, looking up as the area seemed to brighten up some more. He gave Butterfree a quizzical look but the butterfly shook her head.

"The gym gets brighter with each trainer you defeat," the girl said in response to Jaeshan's confusion. "And I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's not often we get a trainer in here who's already won badges in other regions." She politely excused herself and headed off down the corridor. Jaeshan sighed and recalled Butterfree into her Pokeball, hoping that if he stumbled across any more battles they would be over with just as quick.

"Granite, let's try out your other new move! Boule Roc!" commanded Sasha, eager to try out her Golem's new speed. The Rock Pokemon dug both hands into the ground, shoveling some dirt and rocks into both hands. With another grunt, Granite catapulted several volleys of dirt and rocks towards the Fearow. Needless to say, the hovering bird above wasn't quite expecting the once sluggish Pokemon to react so fast. The first two rounds of stones hit their mark, but the Fearow was able to roll out of the way to dodge the third. As soon as it straightened out, the fourth volley slammed into its chest and neck. The bird let out a weak cry and began a downward spiral before crashing into the ground.

"Well, that was easy." Sasha snickered, racing forward with an empty Pokeball in hand. Granite rolled happily behind her, quite pleased with his speedy (no pun intended) victory. The pink haired girl stood triumphantly over the fallen Fearow, her hands on her hips. "Ha, pas si rĂ©sistant maintenant ĂȘtes-vous?" She would nearly eat her words, as the Beak Pokemon shot upward, snapping at Sasha defiantly. "Aiiee!" she shrieked, hurling the Pokeball in reflex. It missed, landing with a depressing 'ker plunk' in the nearby ocean. The girl frantically grabbed her last Pokeball and threw it. Luckily, this one actually hit. The Fearow was sucked inside in a brilliant flash of red. After a few futile attempts, the light dimmed, and the Fearow was caught.

Sasha picked up the Pokeball, sticking out her tongue at her new capture. "Je gagne, vous perdez."

Junko chuckled from her seat in the sand as Bikini released her Oddish. She wants to battle over this? "Ok," she said, pulling herself from the sandy, and apparently 'off limits' beach. "Let's do this." The purple haired girl took the newly caught Tentacool's ball from her red belt and tossed it to the sand.

Nereus appeared from his confinement with a flash of light. He stood tall on his tentacles, looking ready for some action.

The bikini girl sneered as the water type was sent out. "Ha!" she laughed. "You're stupid for sending out that against my Oddish." She laughed at Junko again. "Good luck." she said tauntingly.

Junko sighed. Just because there's a type disadvantage doesn't mean we'll lose... she thought angrily, starting to get annoyed at Bikini. "Why don't you move first?" she asked, waving her hand at the girl.

"Oddish use Asorb! We'll make quick work of it!" The bikini girl was smiling widely, certain of her victory.

Oddish readied herself, pressing her feet firmly into the sand that was all around. Her face contorted as she began to use her draining attack.

Nereus clenched his eyes shut tightly as he felt some of his strength quickly leave his jelly body. The Absorb attack had done a good amount of damage but it seemed that the Oddish had to be at least a few levels below him.

The irritating smile instantly vanished from the girl's smug face when she noticed that her little plant Pokemon seemed to be suffering as well. "W-what the hell?" she questioned. "What's going on!?" she screeched, her face turning red.

"Weeeeeell, one of Tentacool's abilities is called Liquid Ooze." She informed her opponent. "When a draining move is used, the Pokemon that uses it gets hurt too." Junko was now wearing the grin in the situation, glad that she had taken the time to look up Nereus in her Pokedex while walking to the Pokemon Center with her bloody chin. "Alright Nereus, use your Supersonic!" The purple haired girl commanded with a authoritative point.
