And if you just want to go to the early history of the US, look at the Cherokee. They won a Supreme Court case and we're still forced to move off their land to a desolate Oklahoma Territory (Indian Territory as we designated it). The forced migration is called the Trail of Tears if I believe. That should let you know how we "helped" them during the relocation. And our president Andrew Jackson was the one who refused to enforce the Court's decision.

We have never been what you would call a "good" nation. There are many things about American history that we should look down upon. I'm not saying that everything we have done was bad, but we definitely aren't ultimate good that we think we are.

What the USA has done to Native Americans, Aferican Americans and to some extent, the irish, and chinese is just horrible. Slave labor, genocide, lynchings.. slums and all are the way Americans have dealt with non WASPS.

BUT that doesn't mean you can say every American is evil, ever member of govenment is evil.

In the Empire, individuals like Tarkin, Vader and Palp gave them an evil title. But it doesn't mean every Imperial Gov, Admiral what have you is evil.

I mean, Its how they are portrayed. If you think about it, the British govs were portrayed as fat pigs in the Americans eyes. Its common practice to bastardize the enemy.

It's true... Eugenics was a fad in America all the way from the 1920s and into the 40s. It's also part of the reason no one cared about the Holocaust until they found the camps and got footage of just how grisly it was.

Funny how in almost any school, they never mention that when they cover American History, at least not here in TN. I've never met anyone so far that's an American that was taught that in school, and I know it's not in any history books in the local schools around where I am.

It's one thing to be ashamed of a past atrocity, it's another to hide it. Name ONE nation that has never done any bad deeds throughout the history of the world, no matter how trivial or extreme.

Of course not. It wouldn't do to have kids learn that their leaders were jackasses in the past.

Look at the media.

FDR was a cripple, they respected him enough to not mention that to the public.

Today however, if Bush had a booger hanging out his nose we'd never hear the end of it.

And look at the court system. A burglar broke into a guy's home, and the home owner shot him trying to defend it, and the buglar sued him, and the judge allowed the case.

And then you got the Dems and Reps screwing over everyone because their petty squabbles are more important than doing their jobs and actually making things better for us. No, making the other side look bad by not letting them do something that benefits us is more important because HEAVEN FORBID they ever have to say, " Yes, the other party is doing a good job. "
