Elizabeth444 Hey y'all, I have a question: When did TekTek update its system. I can't retrieve my old avatar inventory. Now, I'm really sad. sad A month or so ago. Just gotta make a new invo tektek and you're all set. It's been buggy for me though so I hope it's working. stare

Elizabeth444 I thought I might have to start over, but it's soooo sad that I can't even look at my old models. Oh well. Things happen, I guess. You should be able to just type in your name (or whatever you tagged them as) and they'll come up, using the old system link. But they did say they will eventually take down the old system altogether so old avatar saves, etc will be completely broken.

How are you, my dear sister? ((Sorry for the late reply!! I've been on vacation, and away from the internet)) I've been pretty good. The weather has been nice, and no sunburn over vacation. ...But I missed the creeper headquarters. Do we event do events anymore? ((Hehe! It's all good! Where did you go?)) No sunburn is always good =) I'm currently working on a surprise for everyone who is left. I wasn't expecting an event this weekend or I'd have things finished faster. But soon! Last year was just not a good year for many of us v_v And some left, others have been busy with school or graduating. So we've been few and far between lately. With TekTek, the whole site apparently crashed earlier this month and apparently they lost a lot of data. They're trying to recover it, but it's gonna take a lot of time according to the front page. I do hope it all gets fixed soon... I'd like to save a few of the old tekteks and do an invo tektek soon and I can't do either D; And as for the pressies emotion_hug You're so welcome! 4laugh I'm so happy you enjoyed it! emotion_bigheart

You are correct in that thought; Gaia and Tektek are completely separate. Gaia has nothing to do with Tektek's website and vice versa beyond that Tektek depends on some of Gaia's coding. That's why there is a thread dedicated to Tektek support (the guy is a user here after all) and not official admin/mods from here. 3nodding

I heard that there was some unsavory things that happened, but got the sense that it was too much to explain. So I let it go, but it was still awkward to stop in and say hello, and a ton of people were just GONE. BOOM! Out of the Creeper family. Ugh, the whole thing was sad, from my perspective. I used to come on here EXCLUSIVELY for the Creeper happenings. Moving on, what you said about tektek pretty much explained the problems I had found today. I couldn't link up with my old avatars, but if it was a major crash, I won't be a bother about it. I can wait, and hope, for data recovery and fixed links like the rest of us. ^_^ In fact, I actually didn't know TekTek and Gaia were linked. I saw the copyright stamps at the top of the Tektek home page, but still thought they were separate entities. But if all else fails, I'll redo the elemental outfits that I'm sooooo using my new gifts on! emotion_bigheart (Ahhh! Yeah, most of my family either lives here or out of state. The closest out-of-towner is my younger sister... I'm considering taking a trip to visit her sometime this summer.) Yeah, it's for the best to leave it at that, and you're right... the whole thing was pretty sad. *nods* Between that and what other depressing stuff was going on in my RL at the time, I had to take a break myself... a long break. >.< But now that I've taken that time for myself, I have some plans... If all goes according to plan, it'll mean a fresh start for us and not so much dead air when you come around (though it'll mean getting to know some new people, but that can be a good thing ^_^ ) Since Hoshi already said something about Tektek... yeah, hopefully just about everything gets recovered, but if not I'll have to do some redesigns as well. Not that I mind. It's an okay way to spend a boring afternoon, lol
