"I would almost feel sorry for Alaran, but i feel so much respect for Eca and Ton that I can't. They seem to have loved each other very much. You said Eca was captured and Ton spent a long time gettign her back. Are they at peace now?"
She thought for a time. "What is magic like? CAn you feel it all the time? or is it... in the air and you can manipulate it? Is it alway spainful when you use it?"
She was very interested. She felt like she was having a conversation with a good friend, one she hadn't had in a long time. One that didn't involve her getting capture or... hurt... Warren had hurt her... but she had been hurt before why couldn't she get that out of her head?

Oh lord...they started with each other. Hopefully they would stay civil and jsut prod at each other. But Meilikki drew her attention again and Piper only sighed lightly, dropping her eyes to the table, voice dropping as well as if she didn't want to even say it really. "I know..." Why was it so hard though? She had never been this bad...even after her first little bodily maiming incident with her ear she wasn't this bad off. "And I get into enough trouble down here anyway...no need to create more..." Then a look between Tarathiel and Malik, then one to Whirlwind, just looking around the room.

"If so, then I would like to speak with hjer. If she is with Roarke, I will send Tanundra out later to fetch her. And perhaps have a talk wiht my cousin as well."
Aella looked up. "If you are leaving, then I am comming with you." She stood, clutched her staff to her side. "I'm not letting you out if my sight."
Moonstone snroted, trying to press his nails into his brother's hand. He was the stronger one, he should be able to do this. "A broken heart? Loss, misery, anguish, when have you ever had need to feel these things?" He growled, pushing back on his brother just as hard, the two of them at a stalemate, waiting for the other to grow tired. "Suffer? You don't know what it's like to suffer! Not know love. I don't even know mothers love! You hear that, dear brother? I don't love my Mother." He growled. "At least you have a heart. that which is broken can be mended, that which is lost can be replaced. But you can't fix sometihng that was never broken, and you can replace soemtihng if it was never there to begin with."

"No. it just means he likes to torment you more than most. Twist everything aroudn you till you become a walking monument to hatred and the power of it. learn to hate everything. burn teh grass becuase you hate the color green. kill those you met becuase you hate how they dress, how they look, whom the serve. hate all construction not of your own kinds origin, and hate the ones that do it better than you...so on and so forth."
A shrug.
"And when you're chosen, people hate you on that principal alone. the other Tier'dal express hatred thinking that it makes me stronger, that Innoruuk with bless me with power through thier hate. It gets down right frustrating. Then when I die..and you might know this, since Lloth is renowned for sacrfices..time stops. ten minutes becomes ten years. So I get beaten, torn, brutalized..all to make me hate what killed me more so then before. Get sent back, and spread that hate to servants, who spread it to families, and friends."
Then a bit of a smirk.
"Think you sister, a thousand times over, except instead of her...response..it's just hate. with that same intesity. that's what being chosen ment. all the time."
A slight grin.
"I did say that. but there's a difference with reading your mind, and skimming the surface."

"Don't feel sorry for that dragon. She's had every opportunity to let go and fall in lvoe again." He shook his head. "Too bad she did not follow her brther's foot steps. Yes, Eca was captured for almost six months. She was raped, beaten. Ton almost lost her to insanity. But she pulled thorugh somehow." He nodded. "Yes. Very much at peace now. Burried in a place where the light touches from the sounds breaks through the dirt, and touches the underdark." He smiled. "I may go visit them soon. Would you like to come?"
"Magic is different for everyone who uses it. Mine sits around me, rolling like storm clouds all around me. I take what I want form it, I shape it, I use it. It's only painfull when I change something physical about myself."
Meilikki smiled softly. "I know it's painful dear piper." She held up a hand, palm up. "I have had people, those who think they are great philosophers, come and ask me what the meaning of life is. Expecting some grand answer, want me to reveal some awesome inner truth." She held up the other hand, aplm up, like a set of scales. "The asnwers is: to live." Both hands went flat onto the table. "Do you udnerstand what I am saying?"

"Try it! I woudl love for you to get a feelign of that. maybe I can show you. show you what misery emotions can be!"
Oh and he did try. trying to shove those dark emotions. the pain of broken heart, the loss he felt when his feelings for Whirlwind, budding though they may have been, were not returned, try to use that demonic energy inherited from mother to let him know the dark side of emotions. like real anger. and fear. and misery and loss. and not at just normal level, his level. the all consuming level of emotions that he had to fight against. let Moonstone try to deal with that, then he can complain about not feeling anything..

Eliot was over joyed. "Oh I would love to meat them! must be a wonderful expereince. So spiritual. I wonder if it would be possible to inquire about my own heritage." She tapped her lip a moment, adn then rested her arm on her knee.
"It all seems so odd to me, to feel something like that all the time, is there ever a time when you are away from that feeling? Does it bother you? this storm?" She stopped for a moment, she had so many questions. ".... and if you could explain to me, why does this culture considere compliments and nakedness a sexual nature? I seem to be running into a couple of problems when that is considered, I offend people and I don't know why."
She sipped her wine again, Roarke must of done somethign to her cup, the wine was still ice cold, she smiled at the gesture.

Moonstone's eyes flashed. "Fine. You want me to feel so badly? Then you can be empty!"
The spiritiual powers he recieve from their father welled about him. Onyx glowed red, Moon blue, as the their two powers combined. Ethereal tendrils stretched out wrapped around the brothers. Moonsotne was oblivious, he didn't see the light, he didn't see anytihng. His entire focus was on throwing his empty soul at Onyx, forcing it down on his brother, just as Onyx was foring the dark emoitons down on him.
Something very odd was happening in Moonstones chest. Something he hadn't felt before. There was a constriction, a pressure. And then release. Faint at first, then growing, become louder. The pounding was in his ears. He ignored the feeling, continued to force his being onto onyx.
"I don't know if they would have any answers for you. You are before their time. they don't know the future. But I am sure they would be ahppy to meet you, just the same."
Roarke shook his head. "Nope. It's always there. It's a part of me. It can be supressed a bit, but it can't be taken or stolen or anything like that. It feels as natural to me as you having two arms feels natural to you."
He laughed a bit. "Because sex is something kept for lovers, in the bedroom, not to be spoken off. It's dirty, it's unclean, it's a sin, take your pick." He rubbed his chin. "There is a history to that as well. I call it the Rape of the A.P.E."

"Yes...I understand..." Oh god she had that 'I want to cry feeling' again. Maybe that's what she needed to do, just cry about it...though her pride as well as Malik's would never let her. She wouldn't do it for it seemed so wrong to her in the way others looked at her. But she did understand. After all, the answer was simple, to live. To go on with your life and live it. You couldn't change what was in the past, only take it with you to your future and learn from it, grow from it. There was no grand answer needed, no elaborate show of some higher power or even what some called fate...just had to go with the flow, so to speak a human phrase. A nod and a look up to Meilikki with a slight smile. Yes, she understood. Though her attention focused slightly on the others in the room a bit...civility seemed...frail.

"Kat!" Blue eys flashed in the way of his daughter. "Don't touch those." He was refering to the jewlery in the market place they were passing. "If you drop it and break it, then you'll be paying for it, massy." His voice was stern, but his daughter knew he was only more irritable of late because of buisness. they had lost two ships of cattle already. two! If this continued, he would lose the farm.
"Hurry up. I need to get in contact with this new king before the end of the day."

Meilikki frowned. She knew, of course, how Piper was feeling. The woman needed to let out her emotions, but refused to do it in front of the men. Meilikki understood, she had her won pride. "Piper, come with me a moment." She stood, carefull to try and remeber where everyone was and not trip over them later. She opened the bedroom door, sat down on the big wooden bed, and patted the comfortable seat beside her. "Come now, I won't bite. And close the door behind you."

Kat played with a piece of her green hair, it was long on the front and cut short in the back. She smacked her gum as she though about touching the pebbles just to make him angry and decided against it.
"The cattle... thats all you think about you know Daddy? ANd why did I have to come to see the King? He can't aprove of me much more than you do." Her hand moved from fifling with her hair to the small piercing through her eyebrow and gigle to herself, Daddy must still be mad abotu that new addition and she thought abotu the two in her lower lip and how long it took for the steam to blow over on that one. Oh well, she cought up to her father.
"Can you show me how it feels? I would very much like to know." She wrinkled her nose. "But sex may be between lovers but it is no sin, it is supposed to be beautiful! How is something that creates pups dirty? I always thought it was... well i guess I would know" She mumbled for a moment* But I was always taught that it was special, wonderful, and often magic... What is rape the ape?"

Attention back to Meilikki as she beckoned her once more, and of course after a brief look to the others in the room again she stood and took to following, walking into the bedroom and indeed closing the door as she was asked. And she stood there a moment, hand tugging at her collar before she walked over, taking a seat where Meilikki patted the bed. Though she was oddly aware of herself, being careful and the like seeing as she knew Meilikki couldn't see her. "Yes?"

"Don't be silly. I think about the family all the time. If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to feed you." He paused. "Or give you the alloenvce that pade for that god awefull pig ring on your face."
He ignored the rest of it, and kept moving. "I took you along ebcause you are the only one who's enver left the farm. It's about time you saw the world." They made their way through the the crowd, heading into the inner noble area. "wathc your step here, Kat."
Roarke smiled. "I can show you, yes. It's a tad touchy feely though. Don't want you getting comfortable. Or wrong idea's for that matter."
He laughed. "I never said it was dirty. that's just how society thinks. Rape of the A.P.E. The American Puritin Ethic. It's the type of thing that leads pregnant women to be ashamed of themselves."
Roarke stood up, only to sit down on the carpte in the middle of the floor. "I'll show you what magic feels like." He chuckled, "I hope I'm not about to offend you."
Meilikki reached out, fumbled a moment, found Piper's hands. They were cold and shaking. "Dear one, I know it's painfull. I also know that living with a bunch of men can be very intimidating." She inclined her head at the door. "The room is sound proof, to give is girls privacy," this was room belong to her and Aella, after all. "If you need to cry, now is the time."
