Arrow nods. He'd expected that. "Which means you still do have feelings for him, but they're not to the point where you're obsessing. How much did you miss Wind when he took off? Then think about how much you missed me. Which was more?" He feels bad pulling Fox through this, but he needs to show the Adept that he does know what he's talking about. Arrow knows that he has a slight bit of empathy, unpredictable empathy at that, but it has been working very well lately.

Arrow sighs. That wasn't the question he'd wanted to ask. He tries again. "That's because you liked him more then. But now... now I think it's different. I know you think that this is all a rebound and that we're firends and you don't want to ruin that but... Can you please just give me a chance? If you don't like being with me, that's one thing but you haven't even tried it and your acting like it will be horrid."

Arrow moves over to Fox and gently squeezes his shoulder. "You won't. Even if it doesn't work out, you won't. I don't ditch friends because an attempted romance goes wrong. You can ask Cy to confirm that."

"You and Cy weren't serious though..." It's not that Fox really doubts Arrow, but for someone who's never really had friends, it's really making him nervous, especially since they hadn't been friends very long at all before this.

I wanted badly to be able to forget about you and Wind so the two of you could be happy together, but Cy didn't want to be with a guy y'know, to settle down. He and I wanted different things from the relationship. We're still friends though." Arrow sighs. This is still getting him nowhere.
"Look Fox." He begins. "I really do like you, I really do want to be with you and I know that you like me too. This decision is all yours. You know that. If you choose to say no to me, then I will be hurt, but I will get over it and we can stay friends but I truly think that a relationship between the two of us will be able to withstand problems and dissagreements. I think that we can make it together. I can't say anything else to convince you though."

Arrow realizes that at this point, a maybe is the best that he's going to get. "So we try it out. If it doesn't work, fine. Remember, you can call this off at any time you feel you need to." he says. He starts to lean closer to Fox.

Fox closes his eyes and lets the nightscout kiss him, enjoying it since he's not resisting it for once, and starting to feel less tense than he had the rest of the time that morning since he'd woken up.

Fox can't help but lean in closer to Arrow, the sensation of kissing someone after taking nearly a decade off from dating is rather fantastic.
