Maddy's foot smacked against something as she shuffled through the field of purple flowers. A Gulpin leapt out, yelping in pain. It shot a glob of some dark purple substance at her but she jumped out of the way. She decided not to go with Noibat yet and released her Tyrunt instead. "Earthquake!" The little dinosaur Pokemon slammed te ground hard, causing the earth to shake underneath them. Gulpin was hit hard, but hung on to consciousness just barely. It spat a glob of acid at Tyrunt, Maddy's Pokemon merely shaking off the blow. "Crunch!" Tyrunt rushed forward and bit down on the little green Pokemon, dealing a harsh blow and KO'ing it. Maddy returned her companion and turned to go and check another patch of grass for Skiddo. Then, she spotted it out in the middle of the path again. The little goat looked up at her and turned it's head once more. It didn't run away this time. "Go, Noibat!" Maddy called, releasing the little bat Pokemon. "Razor Wind!" Noibat began flapping her wings, preparing for a powerful attack. Skiddo rushed forward, hitting with a Leaf Blade attack. The attack landed a critical hit, but it still didn't do enough damage to stop Noibat. She finished charging the attack and released several blades of wind to buffet the little goat. It hit hard and the Skiddo could hardly stand. It used Leech Seed, spreading seeds all over Noibat's body to try and sap some health. The attack sapped from Noibat hardly benefited it though. Maddy took a Pokeball off her belt and threw it at the Skiddo, encapsulating it. Shake... Shake... Shake... ... Ding! Skiddo was caught! The opponent caught and defeated, Noibat celebrated her victory by evolving. A bright light enveloped it'd body, and when it dimmed a Noivern was in it's place. "Awesome!" Maddy recalled her new Noivern and returned to the others.

As the group scattered, Nunctanemus began searching through the grass, looking for some opponents for his Pokémon to battle. The first foe he found was goat-like Pokémon, Skiddo.
“Ok, here we go. Lora, attack,” ordered the man as he sent out his Growlithe to the battle. “This won’t last long, I promise. Use Flame Wheel!”
The wild Skiddo used Vine Whip and Growlithe was struck with slender, whiplike vines. While it hurt, Growlithe could take much more and was fast with her attack – covering her body with flames and charging at the opponent.
“Good job, Lora. This will soon be over! Use Ember!”
The scenario from previous round repeated, only now Growlithe replied to Vine Whip with her Ember, knocking out poor Grass Pokémon.
“That was great, Lora. You deserve some rest,” said Nun, recalling his Pokémon. It was now time to continue his searches.
Further exploration was fruitless and N decided he could use some short break, as the others were still busy with their own activities. There was a tree nearby, which gave nice shade, so Nunctanemus decided it was a perfect spot to sit down and relax.
As he approached said tree, N noticed a weird yellowish shape laying below. When he came closer, he noticed it was a Pokémon – Psychic type Abra.
“Yes, another chance for a fine battle! Drop, it’s your turn! Use Bite,” N said, releasing his Squirtle.
Drop attacked the wild Abra with Bite and managed to deal much damage and flinch his foe. It was now or never if Nun wanted to watch the wild Pokémon.
“Well done, Drop. Pokéball, go!” shouted the men when he tossed his capsule at the flinched Abra.
One tick, second, third… And the wild Abra was caught!
“Superb! I’ll name you… Twisted Fate!” said Nunctanemus, picking up Pokéball with Abra and returning to the group.

Once everyone was done their battle, Maddy led them onward. The rest of the route was fairly uneventful, but it was still quite the sight to take in! Maddy loved how nicely taken care of everything was. Soon enough, they came to Camphrier Town. The town was small, making the giant castle that cast it's shadow over it easy enough to spot. "Wow! That must be Shabboneau... It looks pretty spooky." She turned to her companions. "Anyone scared?" She asked with a smirk.

“You, I guess? But fear not, with us two you’ll be safe!” replied N, happy that Shabboneau looked like a very climatic place. “Shabboneau, here we go!”
He wondered about what could await them behind the walls of the castle. Wild Pokémon? International conspiracy? A gathering of N’s fans? Or maybe all of those at the same time?

Reaper followed the two through the route until they arrived at Camphrier Town. He looked on to the huge castle that casted a shadow over the town. "Scared? Of this? Ha!" He chuckled as he somewhat marched to the castle with his Crawdaunt and Combusken who were having a conversation with each other.

Maddy gave N a smirk. "The Leader of Team Aqua is never afraid!" She adjusted her eye patch (it kept getting itchy) and led them on to the castle. The castle was surrounded by a moat, and the only way over was a bridge. The wood comprising the bridge looked quite old and definitely needed to be replaced. Maddy peered over the edge of the bridge into the water below. It was unusually still and dark. She could've swore there were eyes staring up at them. She turned her gaze to the castle ahead of them. The castle itself looked like it could fall apart any moment. Windows were shattered, bricks were missing in whole patches and the grass around it had grown long and tangled. She placed her hands on her hips. "There MUST be a reason this place is so unkempt! It would be such a beautiful place if someone took care to preserve it."

"Someone like Team Aqua! We should totally use this as our new base here in Kalos!" Reaper said as he and his two pokemon Crawdaunt and Combusken began to cut the grass, already preparing the place to move into with a smile on his face as he and his pokemon played around a little while they worked.

“Maybe the reason is lack of funds?” Nunctanemus was there with an answer. “Those things cost a lot, you know? The town seemed like a poor one.”
“Or maybe it’s an environmental issue? Maybe a special kind of mold is found only here and they do not want to destroy it?”
Taking advantage of Maddy’s hesitation, N overtook her and entered the castle first, having his Growlithe clearing the way before him.

Maddy nodded in response to N. "Yeah, it's definitely a money issue." Reaper's comment made a smile stretch across her lips. "It could definitely work as a base. I'd need to find the person who owns it though. It MUST belong to someone in town." She took note to find said person at some point. She watched as N entered the castle first. As the door swung open, it broke away from the hinges and fell. "Look out, N!"

His reactions were too slow and the door fell on N, leaving him with a big bruise on the head. “Ouch, that hurt,” he mumbled, trying not to swear.
“Hey, didn’t I tell you we’ll protect you?” he said after he managed to recompose himself. “I’m just keeping to my promise!”

"You don't need to protect me. I'm not some frail little girl." Maddy said to N, as she entered the castle. "Personally, I would've kicked the door down before entering." She peered around inside the castle's main hallway. Display cases lined both sides of the hall, filled with various artifacts. They seemed to be remnants of the past war. "Hmm. Whoever currently owns the place seemed to have made a museum out of it." She peered in one of the display cases and blew a thick layer of dust off of it. She coughed a little, waving the dust away from her face as it filled the air. "They really are doing a terrible job of taking care of it. You don't need to pay someone to dust, it's easy enough to do yourself."

Door-kicking… ‘As if she was a Hitmonlee or something,’ thought Nun. Nevertheless, this now belonged to past and it was time to move on.
“At least we know nobody lives here, otherwise there would definitely been some traces in all the dust here,” N noticed.
Suddenly, his phone rang. Picking it up, Nunctanemus somehow knew it was not going to be good news.
“Hi… Yes, it’s me. … No, I can’t… No… Did you hear me? I said no… I don’t care, no is no… WHAT?! You’re going to pay for that!” he said as he hanged up.
“Sorry guys, I really have to go. Matter of an utmost importance. Just keep exploring the castle and don’t mind me,” said the man as he left for Lumiose.

While everyone was busy observing the castle, Reaper, Crawdaunt, and Combusken came inside and started dusting the places off, coughing and sneezing as they dust. "This will take a lot of work. It will be worth it though!" Reaper shouted as his Pokemon cheered with him and began putting more effort into cleaning the place.

Allen had followed along from Lumiose, albeit very quietly, and slowly. Mostly due to his nervousness about heading anywhere near a bunch of people or places he'd once known. "It had to be Kalos." He muttered to himself as he crossed the bridge in front of Shabboneau Castle, ugh, that dust trap. The first thing he noticed was the lack of one of the large wooden doors that used to be there. "Hello!" Allen called inside.
