Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows. Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom, the children play. The stars gleam, the poets dream, the eagles fly, without you. The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you. "Fourth year." She said, as she finished her waffle. Free at last. "Good day." She said, standing up and curtsying a bit. It was just her way, her family was old-fashioned, and she believed in curtsying and speaking in old english sometimes. She was just raised that way, she was a bit off. She didn't dress in old victorian dresses or anything, but she wasn't exactly in jeans, bangles, with a low-cut top.
She bowed her head a bit as she curtsyed, took her books in her arms. She walked so calmly, so stiffly, they probably could be balanced on her head. Off to the library, perhaps, for some quiet studying all the new subjects. She'd learned a lot in private school, just as much, so she wasn't far behind, if behind at all. She just wanted to read in private, really. Without any Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, or Slytherins and Gryffindors for that matter, breathing down her neck.
Without you, the breeze warms, the girl smiles, the cloud moves. Without you, the tides change, the boys run, the oceans crash. The crowds roar, the days soar, the babies cry, without you. The moon glows, the river flows, but I die, without you.

Bobby Grimmjow - 3rd year Hufflepuff Bobby caught what Rose mouthed and smiled. Thank you, he mouthed back. A fourth year, so she was one year older than him. That always confused him. Finding out that people were older than him but he looked older and a lot bigger. As Joyce said bye, got up, curtsied, and waked away, Bobby's left eyebrow shot up quizzically. He basically thought, That was a strange time. He shrugged and turned to Rose. "How are you today? That was...different." He said after finding the right word to describe it. ((It's tough when your mum abandons you when you're a baby. But what can you do when she's a Giant and you're too small? Picture at 8 years old --> wink )

"Proud and so glorious standing before of us Our swords will shine bright in the sky When united we come to the land of the sun With the heart of a dragon we ride" Drago Alta - 2nd year Gryffindor "Yeah, me too." Drago said, now realizing how hungry he was. He walk out of the portrait hole with Al, holding hands. He noticed her look towards the fire before they left. Again, the two words that went through his head about the necklace was, Good riddance.
When they entered the Great Hall, Drago's eyes widened a little, then went back to normal when he saw the student he guessed to be the half-giant he'd heard about talking to Rose. When Drago and Al sat down at the table he said, "I wonder what he's like. He seems nice if he's talking to Rose." He said to Al. He placed some food onto his plate, making sure to grab plenty of bacon. "Do you want to fly brooms after?" He asked. He knew that she love flying, forgetting though, that Richard's family owned a famous broom factory. "We are flying on wings in winter sky with fire burning deep inside We are warriors of endless time forever and on On wings of steel an ancient flight we see the powers that unite The gods will now send us a sign of battle once more"

"Yeah." Al said, nodding about the new student. He seemed nice enough, but Al didn't know him that well. Hufflepuffs were generally nice people, but she didn't really go by stereotypes.
Al stiffened when he mentioned broomsticks. The brooms at Richard's father's company had made...Yes, she'd thrown that ruby heart in the fire, but her own heart was broken right now. It hadn't even been two hours since she found out the truth. Just two hours ago, she was ready to jump into Richard's arm and dump Drago. And now she knew the truth about him, she knew what he'd done. It was hard to just get over him so suddenly, and at the mention of brooms, the thought of him couldn't help but cross her mind. Her face looked a bit more distant but she managed a weak smile. "I don't think I'm in the mood for flying today, to be honest." She said softly, hoping Drago would get the clue. She just wanted to sit around with him, have a walk on the grounds, just talk.

Then the memory came back and he realized his mistake. "Oh, of course. I'm sorry. I honestly forgot." He felt awful from his mistake. How could he be such an idiot? He ate some bacon for a little bit. "Do you want to walk around the lake after?" He asked carefully. He had no idea if anything happened around the lake with them and didn't want to make her feel worse. A little too late. He thought. "Proud and so glorious standing before of us Our swords will shine bright in the sky When united we come to the land of the sun With the heart of a dragon we ride" Drago Alta - 2nd year Gryffindor "It won't be long." Drago agreed. He didn't mind the cold as much as everyone else but he still wasn't fawned of it. Drago grabbed one more piece of bacon and ate it quickly. Al still looked upset and Drago wished there was something to do to cheer her up. He didn't hate her for what she did, he hated Richard. Richard tricked her and played with her emotions. That's what bothered Drago. He could never hate Al. He had no blame towards her, but he blamed himself a little. He felt something was off about Richard when he first saw him and said nothing. Now he had to try and get things back to the way they used to be. He held out his hand to Al. "Care to take a walk?" The commotion no longer bothered him, because Caiden was completely absorbed into Tierra at the moment, only seeing her, only knowing her, only feeling her. He smiled and faced her, looking into the great hall, and then looked back into her eyes. "You are in for quite a show, Tierra Verdicchio. I don't know if your friend Fionna is in here to see this 'punishment' of yours, but I think she'd be happy to watch the show if she were around." Without hesitation, Caiden grabbed her hand again and pulled her into the great hall, staring into the faces of all the witnesses that were present tonight. He smiled, having a ton of adrenalin coarse through his veins and inflict his body with a ton of energy and encouragement for this confession. He walked to the edge of the table, smiling at the few younger students standing at the end of the table, hoping that he wouldn't spill their drinks or food on them when he did what he was about to do. Caiden first pulled out his wand, and then this is when the antics started.
Caiden pulled himself up onto the Gryffindor table, standing up and walking over all the different lovely foods. Gryffindors were glaring at him, and others were laughing and pointing. People were confused about why he was on the table, and he was glad a professor wasn't in there to pull him down. He looked around very quickly, and then made his way to the middle of the Gryffindor table. He stopped when he reached his destination, and he pointed his wand at his throat. "Sonorus!" When he did that, he cleared his throat to test out the effect, and the throat clear boomed over the tops of the students. He smiled, and then looked down to Tierra. He wouldn't be able to say anything other than what he wanted to say now, or at least what she believed he was being forced to say. It was now or never. "Students at Hogwarts! I have an announcement to make! My name is Caiden Alexander, and I am a fifth year student in Gryffindor. So, what I would like to say is that there is a girl standing, or sitting now, I'm not looking at her because I want to announce this to you, and not to her. Anyway, there is a girl over in that general direction, probably giggling her head off at this. What I would like to say is that us of the male specimen, well, we kind of suck. Girls, well, they are pretty darn rad. Or, at least, Tierra Piper Verdicchio is pretty cool in my book. She is funny, she is amazing, she is the most intelligent girl I believe I have ever met, and, she is piuttosto, or beautiful." Caiden stopped speaking for a moment, and he looked over to where Tierra would be. He walked over to towards her, and smiled, knowing very well that his speech wasn't over yet. That was just the beginning.
He had a few more things he wanted to announce, and now the nervousness in him started to spark. He kept a smile on his face, but anyone to knew him would see how nervous he really was. He looked back up to the crowd, and he decided to continue his speech. He pointed down at Tierra, and smiled, and then began to speak: "Tierra Piper Verdicchio, I think you are one of the coolest, prettiest, and most intelligent woman I have ever met. I think you are fantastic, and to top that all off, I really like you. Would you honor me tomorrow night with a date to Hogsmeade tomorrow?"Caiden was looking straight down to her, but he decided to crouch down to meet her eyes just a little more level than before. He pointed his wand at his throat and did the counterspell, reversing the loud and booming voice which had probably disturbed some of the students so much that they were ready to inform a professor. A few of the Gryffindors, though, seemed to be swarming around the situation, and he liked the pressure. But, he wasn't sure if Tierra did. "If you don't want to, I won't be offended, I promise." he said, hoping that the staring wasn't bothering her anyway. "But, I will have to push you into a lake if you say no." Caiden winked, making a little joke to her, hoping that she wouldn't take it too seriously. He was being completely serious about the date, though, since he had too many feelings for her to let them just slide.

" Well you're the real tough cookie with a long history Of breaking little hearts, like the one in me That's okay let's see how you do it Put up your dukes, let's get down to it Hit me with your best shot! "
Tierra was pulled into the Great Hall by Caiden. but of course she didn't at all mind. She was waiting for this moment. She was a bit nervous about this whole thing. But she knew she was going to get a very long good laugh out of this joke. She might hold it over his head for a very long time. She offered him a friendly joking smile and sat down at the table. She stiffiled a giggle at his 'show' comment. "Oh trust me. I am looking forward to this. Oh. I hope Miss Fionna does come soon or she'll miss it!" She said her voice was filled with excitement. She took a seat at the Gryffindor table and watched him as he climbed up on that table. Here it was the. the moment she had been waiting for...the moment of truth. She felt her hand grow sweaty as she watched him..
She began to giggle uncontrollably as his voice was amplified. She giggled clutching her side for support as she was mentioned. She wasn't good talking in front of people and stuff so all the people looking at her made her a bit nervous. She smiled at the nervous look on his face. It was very...cute. She gave a fist pump when he said that boy's sucked and girls were rad. Despite the fact she didn't know what the word rad meant. She figured it was a compliement.
Her face grew hot as he said her name. When he said her name it made a wierd tingling sensation start in her toes and her heart beated faster. She blushed brightly when he said that she was beautiful. He had said the same thing when he was at the lake with her but it felt more intense when he said it in front of so many people. She thought it was probably a joke. But she knew it wasn't because he had said it twice. She resumed her mindless giggling.
Her green eye's went wide. She started to breath loudly and her face grew BRIGHT red. Her put her hand on her cheek and started to tap her foot and rub her cheek. Was this a joke was he kidding. Did someone pay him to say that. But it wasn't a joke. It wasn't he actually liked him and he was REALLY asking her out on a DATE for REAL. When he finished her face broke out into a HUGE smile. She bit her lip. This was going to change everything forever and Tierra was ready for that. It was now or never. So she chose now. She got up on the table with him. She took her arm and her almost supernatural strength and pulled him up so he was standing. She put her arm around her neck and without warning. She kissed him. She was caught up in the moment. She didn't care who stared. She just was happy and felt amazing because she was kissing Caiden.
She broke away from him and blushed. "Eh...Sorry." She said although she wasn't at all sorry for it.. "Does that answer your question or do I have to kiss you again?" And threw her arms around him. "Please if you push me into the lake...promise you will come save me...I wouldn't want the house elves to have to rescue me." She winked.
" You come on with a come on, you don't fight fair But that's okay, see if I care Knock me down, it's all in vain I'll get right back up on my feet again. " ( σut σf ¢herrios razz osted. So dramtic =D)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxуσυ ωσи'т fιи∂ н є α я т σя ѕ σ υ ℓ ιи тнє ѕтαяѕ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆xxxxxThe color in Tierra's face made him want to laugh a little, but he held it in with a huge smile on his face, watching her carefully and trying to find the answer before she said it verbally. He watched the smile smear across her face, and he thought he knew the answer right then and there, but he was waiting for the verbal answer. It was making him anxious to know the truth, and he was having a hard time waiting for the answer. It seemed like ages before he got anywhere, although it was really just a matter of seconds. The thing was, she didn't give a verbal answer. She pulled herself up on the table fairly easily and gracefully, and when she did so, she pulled him up to a standing position, which he did very willingly, and he felt her arms go around his neck. But, rather than hugging him, he felt her lips press against his own, and a million different things were going through his head. Fionna, Riley, the rest of them were done for him. Tierra was who he wanted to be with, and he knew that now. He was completely over Fionna, and he was happy that she found what she was looking for, but he was also happy that he could move on. He had to tell Tierra about Riley, to protect her from any kind of hurt like he did with Fionna, and he would have to tell his family. Caiden would no longer feel like there was a hole in his heart. He hadn't felt like there was a hole in his heart since he and Tierra made up and became good friends and talked about their families. He was happy. Caiden let his eyes close, and he let the kiss continue, his heart racing faster than ever as the passion ran between them. When she pulled away, he didn't want her to stop. His breathing was hard, since he was putting everything into that kiss, and he was a bit confused as he listened to her. She was apologizing?
She asked if that answered his question, and he nodded in response, pulling her in again for another kiss, of which he would control this time. He kissed Tierra deeply and lovingly, holding her the whole time and enjoying every second of it. He could feel the intensity of this first, well actually, second kiss, and he wanted it to last forever, although he knew it couldn't. When they finished, he could hear the chatter in the room break off, and a few people had been clapping, mostly girls and guys that had found love in Hogwarts. "If you were pushed into a lake by me, I'd save you and then push myself into the lake." That was Caiden's way of saying that he wouldn't push Tierra into a lake, since he cared about her too much. Maybe he would when the lake warmed up a bit, around May or June. He pulled away and smiled, then hugging her tightly into him. It was only then that he realized that the two of them had still been standing on the table, and he figured it was time for him to get down. He laughed a bit sheepishly, and he stepped down off the table, offering a hand to Tierra to help her down. He couldn't believe this was happening, but he knew now that his feelings for her were there, real, and huge. He wouldn't be able to hide them from anyone any longer, because he wouldn't have to hide them. He helped Tierra down, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and looking around.
Now that he stood in the Great Hall and finished what he wanted to do, he had been rather hungry. His stomach was growling at him, telling him it was great that he moved on and found someone he liked and could spend his time with, but it was also telling him that he hadn't been feeding himself properly in the last few weeks or so, and he should probably have gotten on that. "Do you want to stick around and eat? Besides, I have a few things to ask you anyway." Caiden asked as he watched the table clear out a bit, smiling to him the whole time they walked by. Maybe they were smiling to Tierra, but that didn't bother him. A few of his friends from his year patted him on the back, although he knew they knew the fight he had been in just previously this year and they were probably just supporting his sudden change to no longer get into fights. He had an act for doing that it seemed lately, but he hoped that would change. He was a pacifist for the most part, so being seen as violent really wasn't healthy for his image. He found a good place to eat at the table, a place to eat where he hadn't stepped in or near the food, and he offered that area up to Tierra, hoping she would be up to eating, since he was starving.★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆

" Well you're the real tough cookie with a long history Of breaking little hearts, like the one in me That's okay let's see how you do it Put up your dukes, let's get down to it Hit me with your best shot! "
His embrace was so warm and safe. Caiden's arms made her fel safe and sound. Like nothing in the world could hurt her. It gave her great confidence. She was surprised that he actually liked her. She never would have believed in a million years the Caiden would like her. There were so many other beautiful girls, yet he choose her. The home schooled Italian foreign exchange student girl who happened to be unbelievably strong. She smiled. It made her smile to know all this. It made her feel wanted. Something that she hadn't really before. Ever since her ex-boyfriend sort of tossed her aside like a used tissue, she as greatly wounded by that. It made her feel all worthless.
She saw his nod and giggled softly. She noticed he seemed sad that the kiss ended. She felt her heart swell with giddy joy as he kissed her again. She hoped he would. And man was he a good kisser. His kiss made her feel so much love she feared her heart might burst. She kissed him lustfully in a gentle and sweet way.He was way better then Antonio. That little estúpido liar. He broke her heart and well, one of these days she was going to go back to Italy with Caiden hopefully and kick him hard in the unmentionables...and maybe egg his house a little bit for fun. She wished. All she cared about was Caiden and the feel of his lips and his arms around her. she put her hand delicately on his cheek. She wished that he would never stop kissing her. She wondered..was she a BAD kisser? She had only kissed on person. Her ex, and she didn't really kiss him much. 1 time. So she didn't know if her kissing muscles were as strong as her other muscles. When he stopped kissing her, she looked saddened. She let her hand drop from his cheek and smiled. Oh the lake. So many memories. Hogwarts truly was a magical, magical place. If it wasn't for Hogwarts she would be cooped up in her room as Nonnie gave her a long lecture about how she could not go to the dance hall thing with her friends on Friday because she might twist her ankle. She figured they didn't want her going because her mother was a fantástico dancer and they hated her mother. "Merda Santo! I have been waiting to do that for a molto long time!" She smiled her cheeks a bit red from all of that. She gave him a sweet cheerful smile, which she didn't use a lot. "It is nice to know that you will rescue me." The Gryffindor grinned widely. "Maybe the house elves will come get us, no?" She said with a smile. Se would never tell him this because she was embarrassed by it but. She couldn't swim. She was never a good swimmer, mostly because her grandparents never really let her have much fun. They let her have fresh air, they weren't super cruel or anything they just had a strong dislike of her.
She was scared might make fun of her if he knew she couldn't swim. But then again. She knew he wouldn't he was just to sweet to do something like that. "Sorry...my kissing is non va bene. Well, not good, that was kind of my second time." She blushed saying that quietly not wanting the whole hall to know. She nodded. " Si. I would love to." She said as he helped her down and his arm draped over her shoulders. She blushed at all the applause and the friends who gave Caiden hand slaps. She took a jelly donut and a cup of hot chocolate and sat down. It was quite cold out. "These...round circle desserts with the jelly in the middle...what are the called? And how is it that the jelly gets inside of it?" She asked quizzically looking at the donut. But of course, she didn't know what it was called. "Also...why were those boys slapping your hand? Where they trying to harm your hand?" She asked not really knowing what a high five was either. She thought that they were hurting him. "What was it you wanted to ask?" She asked him her eyes lighting up. She took his left hand and laced her fingers in his. " You come on with a come on, you don't fight fair But that's okay, see if I care Knock me down, it's all in vain I'll get right back up on my feet again. " ( σut σf ¢herrios razz osted. sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas walked down to the Great Hall with Fionna, chatting about guitar and other things. But when he went to the Gryffindor table, it was wiped from his mind as he saw Caiden, now dating Tierra by the looks of it. He smiled at Fionna, not sure how she'd feel about this. She knew Fionna didn't have any feelings left for Caiden, but he hoped that she wouldn't be bothered by any of this. He still wasn't sure how girl's minds worked.
Lucas walked up to Caiden, sat nearby with Fionna, and nudged Caiden very lightly, he'd been injured there by Richard, in the ribs and winked. He mouthed the word, 'Congrats' and got started on his meal. He was happy for Caiden, really. After what Caiden had done for him, after everything, he was really happy to be considered an almost-friend of his. It had been a rough start, Caiden being Fionna's X, but he was a good guy. Caiden hadn't know about Lucas's, in Fionna's words, 'furry problem', so of course he'd be suspicious. All that really showed was how he looked out for people he cared about, and Lucas respected him for that. He'd even gotten himself kicked quite a few times by that jerk, Richard, to try and keep Fionna with Lucas. And now Richard was in the hospital wing, mental, to be released soon, and Caiden had a girlfriend, and Lucas and Fionna were back together. Things were, as of right now, perfect.

I MIGHT LOSE MY MIND FOR A WHILE
BUT I'LL BE FINE HAVE YOU HEARD THERE'S THIS THING THAT HEALS AND IT'S CALLED TIME ▂▃▃▄▄▄▅▅▅▅▄▄▄▃▃▂ Fionna happily walked down to the great hall with Lucas chatting randomly. She held his hand and joked with him until she walked in to see Caiden and Tierra climbing down from the top of the table with Caiden's arm around her. Fionna felt a bit awkward and slightly sad that Caiden had been able to move on, but she quickly reminded herself that Caiden should be able to if she could. He deserved happiness and love equal to what Fionna had found with Lucas.
Fionna sat with Lucas Fionna gave a smile towards both Tierra and Caiden that was true. She grabbed some food and put it on her plate and then remembered something. She leaned onto the table a bit and said, "I think we just missed your big proclamation Caiden. Darn. I was really looking forward to seeing that. Was it some good stuff Tierra?" Fionna was smiling at them. They did look happy together probably like Lucas and herself had seemed she assumed to others.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxуσυ ωσи'т fιи∂ н є α я т σя ѕ σ υ ℓ ιи тнє ѕтαяѕ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆xxxxxCaiden was surprised to hear her bash her kissing ability down, and he didn't enjoy that one bit. He shook his head, smiling, laughing a little bit. Actually, he didn't need to hear that she had kissed someone else before, just like she would probably not want to know that he had kissed Fionna many times, and had been in a relationship before Fionna as well. He didn't need to share that though, and he would hopefully just leave it at that. He actually really enjoyed her kisses, and could probably spend all day kissing her if he could. But, sadly, he had other things to attend to, but at least he could have the satisfaction knowing that he would have the opportunity to be with her now, and wouldn't have to wait to make a move any longer. He enjoyed her company so much, and it made it so much better knowing that he could be with her intimately as well. They could go on dates, and just be happy together. "Not good? Are you kidding?" he didn't want to embarrass her any further, but he figured she would get the gist of what he had said. Hopefully she knew what the word 'kidding' meant, or else he may have been in a bit of trouble.
He was glad when she said she would like to join him and eat a little bit of dinner. He led her over to the table and pulled out her chair like a gentlemen, then he took a seat next to her, just so overwhelmed with the whole situation. How would he ever get over this happiness? He liked it much better than the depression he was in earlier, that was for sure. Caiden reached around and grabbed a biscuit, some ham, and tons of mixed vegetables. He loved vegetables, since his mom was always making healthy foods at home. He watched Tierra pick up a donut, and she asked him what it was called. It was something he loved when his mother made, because she had the best home made donuts around. "It's a donut. You should try my mothers chocolate cream ones sometime. Maybe when you come to visit eventually." He was surprised that he was already inviting her to come to his house, since that was where everything went wrong with his last relationship. He didn't think he would be able to take it if he lost Tierra like he lost Fionna. That would just be too much on his poor little heart. Well, he wasn't exactly little anymore, but he was still young at the age of fifteen.
As she had asked that next question, someone had lightly nudged him in the side, which was still a little tender but not too bad. Caiden looked up to see who had done it, and he smiled when he noticed it was Lucas. He had mouthed the word 'congrats' and he looked happy for Caiden. He actually tried to stop Lucas in his trails, and wanted to ask him a question. It was, of course, if he and Fionna wanted to join him and Tierra as they ate, since they both came down here for the same reasons, obviously. "Do you two want to sit here? It's open." He had pointed to the chairs across from Tierra and Caiden, happy to let them join the two of them. Once he had finished asking, he turned back to Tierra to continue their conversation. "What now?.. Oh, right. The hand thing. So, anyway, they do that because, well, I guess they are just happy for me. And they are probably jealous because you're so beautiful." Caiden didn't exactly want to tell Tierra that the high fives were also a way of saying 'score, dude!' or something along those lines. That would be offensive, and he didn't take any of this that way. He had real emotions for Tierra, and didn't just like her because she was pretty.
Now it was Caiden's turn. Before he asked her the question, he took a bite of his ham, and he chewed and swallowed before he spoke. He really wanted to know about what he had saw in class the other day, and it was really starting to bother him that he hadn't mentioned it before. He wanted to know if she really was that afraid of brooms, since she had told him before that she was comfortable on them, although she wasn't extremely talented on them. "So, I swore I saw you the other day in the flying class, and you had... almost not seen me it seemed, and you looked like you had just gotten off your broom, and were petrified of the whole situation. Are you okay with that whole situation?" He didn't even think to ask if was her first, because she was wearing Ravenclaw attire, and not her usualy Gryffindor robes. But, he didn't think it could have possibly been anyone else since it looked so much like her. Tierra just wasn't acting like herself that day, that must have been all it was.
