"Ryan Reynolds?" Avery raised an eyebrow at her. "Hm, doesn't ring a bell... I'll take your word for it, though."

He watched her stand up, eyes falling immediately to her tails... and he gasped. "What the ********!? Three tails!?" he blurted out loud, then slapped a hand over his mouth. "Er. I... sorry... I just... well I figured everyone here was turning into real animals... and I've never heard of anything with three tails before..."

Antony narrowed her eyes at the sudden exclamation, hands gripping the DVD case so tight her knuckles turned white. Her tails twitched, and she curled them upwards towards her lower back. "They seem real enough to me," she sneered lightly, attempting to try and keep her cool as she turned to face the blonde. "Cause you know, I didn't feel s**t when my spine split into three and then grew."

Her red eyes were almost deadly, and she had to work extra hard not to be as cruel as she wanted to.

Avery shifted on the couch uncomfortably. "I'm sorry," he muttered. "I was just... surprised." Her gaze made him nervous. Avery was almost sure that he couldn't stand up to her, even though she was a girl... she seemed like a tough woman.

He stood up quickly. "Actually, I - er - I just remembered I had something to do. I mean, meeting up with someone. Maybe I can get a rain check on that movie, yeah? Uh... see you," he said, obviously nervous, and he quickly retreated out of the entertainment room.

Note to self; don't talk about tails with Antony. Ever.

Antony blinked when he left stuttering in fear, watching him leave with an mixed expression of confusion and blatent anger. "Whatever," she grunted after him, giving him a sort of irritated wave of dismissal.

She'd just take her hot man on DVD to watch back at her duplex if she had to.

And she did just that. Stupid new islanders.

Zach shoved one of the cafeteria doors open and went inside. No one else seemed to be in the room. Wonderful. Even though he was fully aware that someone was watching him through a camera or whatnot, he preferred it only slightly more to being in the presence of the human and animal hybrids that populated the island. He'd admit it, he hated them. Not the people, but the animals they were becoming. He could hardly look at changed islanders for long without something deep down inside of him loudly acknowledging that they weren't human any longer.

He grabbed a tray and with minor difficulty got a tuna sandwich, and a glass of water. There were plenty of tables to choose from - he picked one off to the far side of the room and sat down there.

Billy had taken a long walk after leaving Antony's, An unlit cigarette dangling from his mouth. He'd have to find matches. Just as well, he was running low on smokes anyway. He wondered how the epople on the island got themselves things. As the afternoon grew on, he grew hungry again, silently wandering into the cafeteria. The breaze that had picked up talked him into pulling his shirt back on, tentacles tucked away and warm between the fabric and his body. As always, his timing seemed good, the cafeteria empty save for a small man off to the side.

Zach looked up to see a newcomer enter the room. He didn't recognize them. They seemed to be normal, other than... something... going on with their hands and their arms, which he hoped were some kind of long gloves. It wasn't likely.

After taking a sip of water, he looked back again. Maybe the other guy wouldn't want to talk.

As he stood by the sushi bar, he allowed a tentacle to slide out from under his shirt, picking up a piece of fish to shove it into his mouth as he continued to serve himself up, turning to find himself a table as he tucked it away again.

NEW RP

Vasile wandered into the cafeteria, casually grabbing a tray and going down the line picking up various foods. He mused at how much had changed - both small and large. When he first got he was too stuck up to eat inorganic foods, or associate with anyone in a cafeteria of all places. But of course, this meant he spend most of his time alone. Despite having been on the island quite a while, he still knew relatively few people.

So, recently he's begun to try and make an effort to be more social. Taking his try of munchies, he sat down at one the tables and looked around for other signs of life. Cass had, understandably, not been out of her duplex much. And whiel Vasile had been spending a lot of time with her, it was nice to have some time to himself.

He offhandedly scratched at his upper arm as ge began to eat.

Ian had been inspired by Bobby. After a week or two (he lost track) back in the wild he had made the decision to come back for good. After cleaning up in his duplex he came to the cafeteria, looking for some non-salady food and a drink that was clean.

As he walked in he spotted someone sitting and eating. While that someone looked familiar Ian knew that he hadn't seen him in awhile and thus didn't recall his name.

Waving shyly with a free hoof Ian grabbed a tray loading it with an egg salad and some fruit.

"Hello," he had walked to where Vasile was sitting. "Mind if I join you?" He felt strangely defenseless now that his antlers were gone, even in the relative safety of the cafeteria.

Ambrose, after a full day or so worth of waiting in his duplex for more word from Aubrey - which had yet to come - finally was pursuaded by the hunger cramps in his stomach to take a break and go get something to eat. The staff had cameras... they'd know how to contact him, he reassured himself.

But still, it took him nearly going crazy smelling the quite pungent flavor of cooked meat that drifted on the air into his duplex from the cafeteria to finally pull him from his 'den'. He was salivating, and moved at a quick trot towards the doors of the cafeteria when he finally did go.

Ambrose was more haggard than usual for the wolfman. His hair, while brushed (he had done so out of part of his nervous waiting), didn't have the normal sheen or gel. There were circles under his bloodshot eyes, and a worry that clung to him like an aura.

Entering into the tiled floor, he quickly 'clicked' his way to the trays and loaded it up with juicy cuts of steak, a burger, and a couple of hotdogs - foods that now had taken the place of sweets as comfort foods for the man. Sneaking a hotdog into his mouth before even turning to go take a seat or acessing the company in the cafeteria, he was surprised to spot Vasile. He hadn't seen him for some time. Even at the camp in the woods Ambrose had mainly kept himself to Angelina, or otherwise busy.

Flicking his ears forward in curiousity, he approached the ex-star with a friendly, if tired, smile.

"Hey Vasile... mind if I take a seat..?" Ambrose had almost considered taking the tray back to his duplex to eat.... but what would be the point. He needed to be around people. He didn't want to wait for more hours alone in the dark duplex. If Aubrey knew something, she could tell him here.

Vasile waved to Ian and nodded, then smiled more confidently when he saw Ambrose. "Hey Ambrose!" he said happily, his tail twitching behind him.

He continued to scratch at his arm, not stopping until the skin finally broke under the skin and he winced. "What's up? You look kind of rough." He peered around the cafeteria. "Where's Angie?"

Ian looked around and saw Ambrose nearby. He hadn't even heard the wolfman come in. "Hi Ambrose. Been awhile hasn't it?" Ian had almost completely lost track of time since arriving on the island. Days blurred into weeks and time meant nothing anymore. He had no idea how long it hadbeen since they had met Avery and Rex on the beach.

"Thanks," he said to Vasile and sat down holding the fork awkwardly with his hooves. He took a bite of his sald and grinned. This was much better than leaves.

Ambrose nodded to Ian with a smile. It had been some time since he had seen the deerboy... though where were his antlers? Ambrose's gaze lingered curiously on the top of his head, but he didn't say anything.

At the mention of Angelina, however, Ambrose sat down with a sigh, his ears drooping. "She.... ah... she's... she's gotten sick." His eyes dodged to his meal, and for a moment, his ravening apptetite almost disappated. "The doctors... they took her in. They say she's stable, but ... they haven't told me anything."

"But.. uhm... hey... how have you two been...?" A weak smile, but an effort.

Zach wandered back from his walk with the intent to get something to drink. He entered the cafeteria, but stopped upon seeing several furry people already inside. Two of them he recognized; Ambrose, who looked a little sickly, and the man with brown fur who'd stopped by Jamal's cage. He didn't even know that guy's name. And the blonde he didn't recognize in the least.

He navigated over to the drinks and grabbed a glass of water, then looked back at the group already sitting. This was uncomfortable. After a little thought, he went to sit at the table next to them. He hadn't changed (nor did he want to), so he felt he had no right to impose on these people who'd gone through so much already.
