*Ike's trip to Altomare wasn't the most action-packed trip of his life. He was expecting at least some sort of attempt on his, or Marty's, life. Nothing came to light.*
*Ike and Marty approach a large cathedral in the middle of Altomare. The place looked very old, yet very well-kept. Bell towers rose high in the sky, sounding off a very simple tune signaling it was a quarter-till. Once they made their way inside, Marty lead Ike through the building to a courtyard in the middle of the structure. The sun shined past the leaves of oak trees and lit up green hedges around the open-yard. There were around two dozen head stones standing in the grass.*
Ike: *Walks up through the grass, looking at each head stone individually. He spoke with a sigh.* This is it, huh? Marty: *Walks up to him.* This is it. *Nods to a larger, impressive headstone in the back. It was a stone tomb of polished marble, rising four feet by 7 feet. The names read "Joell & Kaito" with their individual birth dates underneath them.* Ike: *Walks over to the tomb, his bandanna off. He'd never thought he'd see them... It was surreal to say the least.* ...Hi...Mom...Dad. *He pressed his hand up to the cool marble and looked down to the ground.*
*Behind them the wooden doors from which they entered into the courtyard opened, a man wearing a blue tie and sunglasses walked through with a suitcase in hand.* Marty: *Turns around swiftly and once realizing who it was, pulled out a Pokeball* Ike: *Looks around to find Ames standing at the doorway. His mind and body suddenly filled with rage. Ames fallowed them here, to all places, his parent's grave.* Leave us alone! Ames: *Takes off his sunglasses, again showing no expression at all. He ignored Ike and focused solely on Marty.* If it isn't my dear friend from back in the day. Marty: You murderer! I thought you were dead till Ike told me about you. Ames: *Cracks his neck* As you should know by now, I am a very hard man to dispose of. But enough idle chat. It would seem Lord Amarube and Lady Yura put your name on my hit list; Not the first time it's been on there, but certainly will be the last. *His brief case opened up to reveal a pistol. He dropped the briefcase and aimed it directly at Marty.* This is certainly a tool I did not have last time. Ike: *Panicking, he yells out to Ames* THEY AREN'T WHO YOU THINK THEY ARE! Ames: Hm? Ike: Am-Amarube and Yura. Your leaders. They aren't the real ones!
Ames: Do you think I'm stupid, boy? Ike: *Didn't want to answer that, but continues* They're clones! Ames: I KNOW they're clones. Please, spare me of the "You don't know what you're doing" speech. I will deal with the clones soon enough. *Looks at Marty dead in the eye* ...Right after I deal with unfinished business.*
Marty: *Yells at Ike* Jump! *Marty grabbed Ike and threw him over his parent's tomb, jumping over it himself. Gunshots were going off like crazy.* Ames: We all know how this ends, kid! *Talking to Marty. Ames didn't look the age, but he at least had 8-10 years on Marty.* Marty: *Calls out Venomoth. The Venomoth senses the danger from the hiding duo and looks at Marty for an attack.* Gotta use Confusion. Knock the gun out of his hand, Venomoth. Venomoth: *Its eyes start to glow a purplish red and from over the tomb, Ames could be heard struggling with the attack.* Ike: Course! He might be able to take on a Pokemon in hand-to-hand combat, but he's useless against Psychic attacks!* Marty: *Moves to the side of the tomb to look past it. There was a crash of glass as the gun flew from Ames's hands into the nearest stain-glass window.* Good job, Vinnie. Use Supersonic! Venomoth: *Flys up over the marble tomb and sends super sonic waves at Ames.* Ames: *Clutches his ears in pain. Ike was glad he was on the other side of the attack, because he's never seen a person in such pain. Ames fell to the ground, holding his head. Once the attack stopped, he rolled on the grass, laughing a little.* Marty: *Walks out to check out the foe. Ames was confused. He then turned back to Ike* Come on, lets get outa here. Ike: What about him? Marty: *Recalls Venomoth* Police'll find him. Ike: Nuh-uh. *Ike ran over to Ames and picked him up over his shoulder. He was heavy.* He's coming with us. Marty: No-you! *Knocks Ames off of Ike's shoulders. The man fell to the ground with a large 'thud', hitting his head on a rock.* He can't be trusted. He just pulled a gun out for christ-sake! Ike: Yeah, but... he'll just escape from jail. If we keep him knocked out like this, we'll know he won't be any trouble. Marty: *Frowns, but sees a point. He then called out Venomoth again.* Alright. Take Venomoth, though. He'll keep him confused. Ike: Where are you going? Marty: Back to Sinnoh. Oh, and Ike... *Reaches in his pocket and tosses him his TADS* Ike: *Barely catches it* I thought yours was burnt to a crisp?... Marty: It is. That one's yours. It fell out of your pocket in the Underground. I couldn't resist. Ike: Heh. Thanks... for everything, I mean. *Looks back at his parent's marble tomb.* Marty: *Nods, then leaves the courtyard.*
*Ike was now in the middle of Altomare with a confused, knocked-out high-ranking Director of the Legendary Brilliance Gang with his godfather's Venomoth who kindly picked up Ames by the back of his business coat and dragged him behind Ike. What a day.*

Maddy awoke with a start, yet again. Ever since the incident with HQ she’d been having nightmares. Normally, nightmares wouldn’t bother her, as she was used to having them all the time, but nowadays they were just horrible. Shaking away the thoughts, she stood up and looked out over the ocean. The sun was just starting to rise, a bright golden light that seemed to rise up from the ocean and into the sky, illuminating the entire ocean and the Whirl Islands. It reminded Maddy of how she used to watch the sun rise every morning when she was a kid, back in Pallet Town. That was until she ran away from home, of course. With a sigh, Maddy sat down on a nearby rock and started tracing random images in the sand with a stick. Ever since she ran away 8 years ago, almost 9 by now, she had never seen her family. As she sat there, thinking, she remembered what Thard said about Team Tsunami targeting our families. As she came to the horrible realization of what kind of danger her family was in, a wave came up and washed away all her little sand scribbles. Pulling a map out of her backpack, she traced the best way back to Pallet Town: which was very long. She could always try teleporting, but the distance was too great and her powers weren’t that strong. But perhaps if she surfed to Olivine, and from there went to Goldenrod and took the train to Saffron, maybe then she’d be able to teleport to Pallet. Saffron wasn’t much closer to Pallet Town compared to Goldenrod, but it was worth a shot. Deciding that that route would be the best way, she rolled up the map and stuffed it in her backpack, next to all her other belongings. She stood up and stretched, taking one last look at the sun rise before she turned her back and started walking along the perimeter of the island, trying to figure out which direction Olivine City was in. She stopped when she spotted a huge stretch of land in the far distance, resting directly on the horizon. She knew this was Olivine, the lighthouse that stuck out from the otherwise flat land made it eminent. With a smirk, she tossed a Pokéball into the air, and the ball burst open with a blinding flash of light, that faded away to reveal Empoleon. Maddy pointed to Olivine and said, “That’s our destination. Think you can Surf us all the way there?” Her voice was full of confidence; she knew that Empoleon was the best Pokémon for the job. Empoleon reassured her with a curt nod and immediately jumped into the water. Maddy climbed onto his back, feeling a slight bit nervous. Although part of Team Aqua, she had a horrible fear of water. Luckily, she had managed to hide her fear from the others, as she wasn’t sure a person with hydrophobia would fit in that well. As Empoleon set off, swimming out into the deeper water where the depth was indicated by pure darkness under the surface, Maddy remembered that time she almost drowned and how scary it was. The water was filling her lungs, and that only caused her to panic more. And when she started to sink down deeper the pressure and the lack of air in her lungs caused her to black out. If it hadn’t been for Empoleon dragging her to shore, then she probably wouldn’t have lived. But Empoleon wasn’t the only one who played a part in saving her life… She just held her head in her hands, her eyes tightly shut, trying to block out the thoughts. She didn’t need him distracting her now; she was on an important mission. As she sat there, trying to push away her thoughts, Empoleon suddenly lurched forward, and she flew off and fell face first into the sand, sliding a couple feet. It was alright to assume that they finally reached the mainland. She quickly stood up and looked around as if nothing happened, as usual. Luckily for her, there was no one nearby. “Whew… No one around.” She looked up at the sky, it was almost blood red. “Red sky… at morning?” Looking around, Maddy came to the conclusion that she was now in Olivine, even though she had never been here in her life, as far as she could remember. Recalling Empoleon, she brushed the sand off her clothes and just started walking along the beach and into the city. It was really quiet, but what else could be expected? It was early in the morning and the sun was still just hovering above the horizon as if it was unsure it wanted to rise or fall. Maddy just kept walking, spotting the occasional person who would either walk by her without looking or just cast her a very suspicious glance. It was awkward. “I should get out of here, I don’t wanna draw too much attention to meself.” She thought as she started walking slightly faster. She could feel the eyes of people staring at her as she past, it was unnerving. They clearly knew she was not from here, and that was not good. When she finally got to the outskirts, Maddy looked over her shoulder to see some random guy following her. Feeling a bit creeped out, she just continued on with her journey. Unsure of what way to go, she reached into her backpack and pulled out her map. Unrolling it, she scanned the map, trying to find the best route to Goldenrod. The fastest way would be heading to Ecruteak, and then travelling north from there and following Route 36 west. Rolling the map back up and stuffing it in her backpack, Maddy continued on with her journey. Once outside of Olivine, she could see many pastures that stretched as far as the eye could see. She forgot that this part of Jhoto was generally used for farming and such. It was still early in the morning, so there was a lot of water droplets on the grass in the fields, and when the early morning sun struck the water the fields glistened. Maddy just sighed, reminded how long it had been since she had been out for some fresh air. All of the sudden, a Staraptor swooped down from the sky, talons outstretched, heading straight for Maddy. Maddy quickly rolled out of the way and threw a Pokéball into the air. The red-and-white ball burst open to reveal Raichu in a shining burst of light. Sparks flew from Raichu’s cheeks, it was ready for battle. “Raichu, start this off with Thunder Wave!” Raichu sent a shockwave of paralyzing electricity at Staraptor, who was hit by the blast and successfully paralyzed. Despite its ailment, Staraptor managed to get up and fly at Raichu, slamming him hard with its wings, using a powerful Wing Attack. “Use Thunderbolt!” Raichu shook off the previous attack and sent a powerful surge of lightning at the enemy. Staraptor cried out in pain, the attack was super effective. It flinched slightly as the sparks from its paralysis made it unable to move this turn. Seizing the opportunity, Maddy commanded Raichu to use Thunderpunch. Raichu’s fist glowed with sparks of electricity, and it punched Staraptor, sending it flying. Before Staraptor could react, Maddy threw an Aqua Ball at it, and watched as it was absorbed into the little ball. Shake… Shake… Shake… … Ding! Staraptor was caught! Maddy picked up the Aqua Ball, now containing her new partner, and attached it to her belt with a content look on her face. “It’s about time I got a Pokémon that can Fly…” She said as she returned Raichu. “Once I get to Ecruteak, I’ll heal Staraptor and fly to Goldenrod, I still wanna take the train.”
The rest of the walk to Ecruteak City was uneventful, even though Maddy was still getting followed by that strange guy, and by now she noticed he looked oddly familiar. Thinking nothing about it, Maddy went straight to the nearest Pokémon Center and healed up Raichu and Staraptor. Exiting the Pokémon Center, Maddy sent out Staraptor and together they flew off into the sky. Goldenrod was really easy to spot, Maddy recognized all the tall buildings and she thought for a second that she could see that dreaded Game Corner from where she was. Maddy pointed down to the city, and Staraptor made a steep dive, avoiding all the buildings, and landing in the middle of a barren street. Fortunately, the Train Station was just in sight. “Good work, Star.” Maddy said as she recalled her Staraptor. “Hey, I just came up with a nickname for him without realizing it. Weird…” Attaching Star’s Pokéball to her belt, Maddy walked down the street to the Train Station. Once inside the Train Station, Maddy started digging through her pockets and backpack; she was sure that she had a Train Pass somewhere on her person. When she was a kid, her father gave one to her so she could go off and explore the world more once she was older. “Aha!” She felt a slip of paper under her fingers, and she grabbed it and pulled the Pass out from the very bottom of her backpack. It was faded and torn slightly at the edges from age, Maddy could only hope it was still valid. Now that she had her Pass, Maddy finally took the time to look around the Train Station. There were a couple rows of chairs in front of her, most of which were empty. Spotting something out of the corner of her eye, Maddy glanced over at the corner farthest from her and noticed that weird familiar guy standing there. He was leaned up against the wall, looking in Maddy’s direction. His hands were stuffed in the pockets of his long, black trench coat. Maddy tried to get a glimpse of his face, but the hat he was wearing cast shadows upon his face so all she could see were soft, brown eyes. Maddy looked away. She had seen those eyes somewhere before, long ago back before she ran away from home. But she couldn’t remember exactly who the eyes belonged to. Shaking the thoughts away, Maddy walked over to the Train Station guard and held up her pass to him. All she heard from him was a comment on how old the ticket was, before he moved out of the way to let her board the train. Once on the train, she didn’t even take the time to look around and explore. Maddy quickly found on empty compartment and sat down by the window, her head resting against the cold glass, her head swimming with thoughts of her childhood. As the train slowly started to move, picking up speed with every second, Maddy’s eyes slowly closed, and she drifted off to sleep.
There was the sound of a door being slid shut, and Maddy jolted awake. She looked over at the door to her compartment. She could’ve swore that someone had just closed it. Looking at her watch, she realized she had only been asleep for 10 minutes. The train was fast, she’d be in Saffron soon. With a sigh, she lay back in her seat, feeling a bit stressed out. Then, she spotted it. There was a bit of torn fabric stuck in between the door and its frame, as if someone had got their shirt caught in the door upon closing it. Maddy ripped the fabric away from the door and examined it. The symbol on the piece of cloth surprised her so much she dropped it. It was Team Tsunami’s symbol! Standing up, Maddy rushed out of her compartment and into the hallway, quickly ducking as a jet of flame barely missed her head. Maddy looked over to see a Tsunami Grunt and an Absol standing at the north end of the hallway. Maddy jumped to the side as a dark ball of energy crashed into the wall. She looked over her shoulder to see another Tsunami Grunt and a Murkrow standing at the south end of the hallway. “Got me stuck in the middle now, don’tcha?” Maddy said as she threw two Pokéballs out of her pocket, one on each side of her. Blaziken appeared in front of Absol, and Empoleon in front of Murkrow. Without waiting for orders, Blaziken surged forward and used a powerful and effective Sky Uppercut on Absol. Absol shook off the attack and used Psycho Cut, which was effective against Blaziken. Blaziken opened his mouth and sent a massive stream of fire at Absol. At first, nothing could be seen of Absol through Blaziken’s Fire Blast, but suddenly a black and white blur rushed forward, hitting Blaziken with Night Slash. Blaziken shook the attack off, it wasn’t as effective as the previous one. Blaziken used Slash on Absol, who was already greatly weakened and fainted. Blaziken’s next opponent was Skuntank, who rushed in with Slash the moment it was summoned from its Pokéball. The attack was a critical hit, and knocked Blaziken off his feet. Surprisingly, he managed to get up and counter with a powerful Flame Thrower. Skuntank retaliated with Poison Jab, which Blaziken easily avoided. Suddenly, Blaziken glowed with fiery energy and rushed at Skuntank, slamming it with Flare Blitz. Skuntank was KO’ed, and Blaziken was left very weak from the recoil. Maddy’s opponent was looking nervous as he sent out his last Pokémon, Marshtomp. Marshtomp used Muddy Water on Blaziken. Blaziken fainted, and Maddy replaced him on the battlefield with Primeape, who used a powerful Earthquake. The ground shook terribly, dealing great damage to Marshtomp, who retaliated with an Earthquake of its own. Shaking off the attack, Primeape used Counter, which dealt massive damage to Marshtomp. Marshtomp sent a Rock Slide at Primeape, dealing a critical hit. Primeape stamped its feet in anger and blew steam from its nose. Its Anger Point ability kicked in, and it dealt the finishing blow as it hit Marshtomp with a super-charged Cross Chop. Grunt #1 was out for the counting. Meanwhile, on the other side of Maddy, Empoleon sent a freezing blast of ice, Blizzard, at Murkrow, dealing super effective damage. Murkrow, although shaken by the harsh blow, managed to send a powerful Psychic attack at Empoleon. Empoleon shook off the attack; even powerful special attacks such as Psychic couldn’t damage its Steel armour. Sending a powerful beam of ice at Murkrow, Empoleon quickly finished off its first opponent. Next up for Empoleon was Sneasel, who Slashed Empoleon with its sharp claws. The attack did little damage, and Empoleon used an earth-trembling Earthquake, dealing massive damage to Sneasel. Sneasel was knocked over by the attack but quickly jumped back on its feet and lunged forward, its claws shining with a metallic lustre as it slashed Empoleon again. Still, little damage was dealt. Empoleon was standing strong as it blasted Sneasel with a furious Hydro Pump. But Sneasel wasn’t ready to back down yet. Despite its fatigue, it gathered up its energy and shot a powerful Shadow Ball, hoping that this attack would be effective. But it wasn’t, and Empoleon still had a decent amount of health left as it slammed into Sneasel using Strength. Sneasel whimpered as it lost consciousness, and its owner wasn’t too happy with the progress it made on taking Empoleon down. The first thing Empoleon’s last opponent, Wartortle, did was tuck its head inside its shell, preparing to use a powerful Skull Bash. Empoleon rushed over and used Drill Peck on its opponent, but that didn’t stop Wartortle as it slammed into Empoleon hard using its head. The attack was a critical hit, and dealt a decent amount of damage that knocked Empoleon off its webbed feet. Things weren’t looking to good for Empoleon. It used Brine, which would’ve dealt a bit more damage if Wartortle wasn’t Water-type. Wartortle shook off the attack and used a raging Hydro Pump. Empoleon couldn’t take any more and Maddy was forced to return him, sending out Raichu instead. Sparks flew from Raichu’s cheeks as it unleashed a powerful Thunder technique on Wartortle, finishing off the battle. Maddy returned both Raichu, who was a bit sad not getting more of a chance to fight, and Primeape, who had been waiting patiently since he finished his battle first. She was about to start mouthing off at her two unlucky foes, but when she looked over they were both gone. Glad that was over with, Maddy returned to her compartment and waited out the rest of the trip.
Maddy was waiting for approximately ten minutes when the magnet train arrived in Saffron City. First thing she did was heal all her partners at the Pokécenter. Standing outside the Pokécenter, Maddy looked around. There was more people out now, but even the crowds couldn’t hide the three people standing over next to a building across the street. Shelly, one of the Team Tsunami admins, was standing over there with the two grunts Maddy had just fought, and she didn’t seem too happy with them. Maddy walked a bit closer until she could pick up parts of their conversation. Shelly: “You WHAT?!” Grunt #1: “We found the original Maddy on the train and—“ Grunt #2: “—and we had our asses handed to us.” Shelly: “This isn’t good; all of Aqua should be DEAD!” Grunt #1: “You think we don’t know that, woman?!” Shelly: “Don’t use that tone with me!” Grunt #2: “Hey! THERE SHE IS!!” Maddy was about to dive into a nearby crowd of people, but Shelly and the two grunts turned around and spotted her before she could do anything. Shelly looked furious. Shelly: “When you want something done properly, you gotta do it yourself.” Maddy: “I’m guessing you want your ‘a** handed’ to yourself as well?” Shelly: “Shut up, you stupid brat!” Despite the fact that they were in the middle of a busy street, Shelly threw a Pokéball out, and it burst open to reveal Crawdaunt. Maddy sent out Raichu, seeing how he was dying for a fight. Raichu managed to strike first, a powerful current of electric energy enveloping Crawdaunt’s body. Crawdaunt, although it took a great amount of damage, managed to counter with Crabhammer, which was a powerful blow to Raichu. Sparks flew from Raichu’s cheeks; it was ready for more as it sent a powerful Thunder at Crawdaunt. The attack was inaccurate, however, and didn’t hit Crawdaunt directly. While still very effective, it didn’t deal as much damage as it could have. Crawdaunt was tired out from the powerful blows it had previously received, but still managed to send a deadly Sludge Bomb Raichu’s way. Raichu cried out for help as it struggled to shake all the poisonous sludge off its body. For its next attack, it decided to choose accuracy rather than power, and used an unavoidable Shock Wave. Crawdaunt fainted, and Shelly returned it. Next up was Sharpedo, who tucked its head in. Maddy recognized this from her previous battle, it was preparing a Skull Bash. Raichu noticed this as well, and used Protect. Sharpedo launched itself at Raichu, but no damage was dealt. With a smirk, Raichu used Thunderbolt, the surge of electricity dealt massive damage to the poor Water-type. But Sharpedo was also Dark-type, so when it used Crunch on Raichu, the attack did slightly more damage, leaving Maddy with no choice but to recall Raichu. Maddy’s next Pokémon was Primeape, who used Cross Chop. The attack was super effective, thanks to Sharpedo’s Dark characteristics, but Primeape took a bit of damage from Sharpedo’s Rough Skin ability. Sharpedo quickly retaliated with Slash. Primeape shook off the attack and used Mega Punch. Sharpedo had no energy left to fight, but it managed to deal a bit more damage to Primeape with its Rough Skin. As Shelly sent out her next Pokémon, Walrein, she had a way more serious look on her face. Walrein’s first move was Earthquake, which knocked Primeape off his feet. But he bounced right back up and started pummelling Walrein with Close Combat. The attack did massive damage to Walrein, but it left Primeape very vunerable. Walrein suddenly slammed into Primeape with Body Slam, doing a great deal of damage and knocking him out. Cursing under her breath, Maddy sent out Blaziken, whose first attack was Sky Uppercut. Walrein almost fainted from the attack, but managed to fire an Aurora Beam at Blaziken. Blaziken shook off the attack and countered with Flamethrower, which quickly finished off Walrein. Shelly: “Why don’t you pests ever give up?” Maddy: “Where’s the fun in giving up?” Shelly glared at Maddy with a look of utmost loathing, and sent out Mightyena, who immediately lunged at Blaziken with Giga Impact. Blaziken doubled over in pain from the ferocious attack but quickly regained his fighting stance and sent a mean Fire Blast at Mightyena, who howled in pain as the flames burned at its body. Mightyena shook off the attack, but was still recovering from its previous attack, allowing Blaziken to move in with a powerful Sky Uppercut. Mightyena fainted from the attack, leaving Shelly with no more usable Pokémon. Shelly: “Damn you, Team Aqua!!!” Grunt #1 and #2: “Oh my, no wonder we lost!” Maddy watched as the three ran off. “Well, that was a waste of time.” She walked back in the Pokécenter and got all her Pokémon healed again. “I wonder what I’ll have to fight next…” Once back outside, Maddy realized it was finally time to teleport back to her hometown. She could have just flown on Star, but she wanted to hone her teleporting powers a bit more. Closing her eyes, she concentrated on the image of Pallet Town that she had imprinted in her brain from her childhood memories. And then… she teleported. When Maddy opened her eyes, she realized that nothing had changed. Pallet Town today was the same old Pallet Town from her childhood. There were a few new houses built, and it seemed they planted some trees as well, but Pallet was still the same. And even though it had been almost nine years since she had last been here, it still felt like home. Maddy smiled as she looked around, all of her childhood memories coming back to her, clear as day. But then she spotted something that confused her. Over in front of what Maddy remembered was her old house, was, well, Maddy. She seemed to be talking to a member of Team Rag-Tag, and didn’t look too happy. Seeing her clone’s face made Maddy’s temper reach boiling point, and she was about to run over there to confront her clone when an LBG Peon jumped in front of her. Peon: “You’re supposed to be dead!” Maddy: “Well, I’m clearly not dead. Now get out of me way! I got a score to settle with… meself…” Peon: “Not without a fight!” The LBG Peon sent out Houndoom. Maddy sighed. Yet another battle. She sent out Empoleon who started the battle off with Hydro Pump. The look on Houndoom’s face was priceless as it got blasted by the huge torrent of water. Growling, sparks flew from Houndoom’s mouth as it bit Empoleon with Thunder Fang. Empoleon pushed Houndoom away and blasted it with Bubblebeam. Houndoom fainted from the attack, it was just too much water for its liking. Next up was Cacturne which used a powerful Focus Blast, dealing massive damage to Empoleon. Shaking off the attack, Empoleon used Brine, which didn’t really do much to Cacturne, who countered with Needle Arm. Empoleon didn’t have enough energy to continue with the battle, so Maddy returned him and sent out Blaziken for the umpteenth time today. Blaziken surged forward and released a massive amount of fiery energy at Cacturne, using Overheat. Cacturne stumbled backwards from the powerful attack. Then, it slammed into Blaziken with force equivalent to all the hate and dislike in its body, using Frustration. Blaziken’s leg glowed with flames as it kicked Cacturne hard. The move was greatly weakened because of Blaziken’s Overheat reducing its special attack power, but it dealt enough damage to put an end to Cacturne. Blaziken was panting heavily as its next opponent, Magneton, appeared. Magneton used Lock-on, taking careful aim on Blaziken. Not knowing what attack Magneton was going to use next, Blaziken decided to go all out and unleashed a powerful Flare Blitz. Magneton was severely damaged, but the recoil left Blaziken even weaker than before. Using it’s careful aim, Magneton shot a huge burst of electricity at Blaziken with Zap Cannon. Blaziken couldn’t take so much power and was KO’ed. Returning Blaziken, Maddy decided to send out Primeape, who she knew had the type advantage. Primeape rushed forward and used Close Combat, dealing major damage to Magneton, who surprisingly had enough energy to counter with Tri-Attack. The combination of lightning, fire and ice dealt decent damage to Primeape, but he was ready for more as his fist burst into flame and slammed right into Magneton with a deadly Fire Punch. Magneton fainted and had to be returned. Replacing Magneton was its trainers last Pokémon, Ampharos, who immediately unleashed a critical hit with Thunder Punch. Primeape staggered backwards but quickly regained his stance as he slammed the ground hard, unleashing a terrible Earthquake. Ampharos took severe damage, but was ready for more as it shocked Primeape with a powerful Thunderbolt. Primeape just couldn’t take any more hits, so Maddy sent out her last strong Pokémon, Raichu. Raichu’s first attack and last attack was Mega Kick, which despite its poor accuracy hit Ampharos with amazing power and knocked it out. Returning Raichu, Maddy rushed past her poor opponent and ran straight at her clone, who looked up just in time to see her original flying towards her. Clone Maddy: “I thought you were dead?” Maddy: “Do I look dead?!” Clone: “Nope. That’s too bad; I wanted to keep your name.” Maddy: “You… Me name?” Clone: “Yeah, all the other clones like to gives themselves different names so they can be separate from the originals. But I was hoping to keep your name.” Maddy: “You wanted me dead… so you can keep me name?” Clone: “Yeah, it’s a brilliant plan.” Maddy: “Fine, if you battle me and win, you can have me name!” Clone: “A battle? But all I got are these weak Pokémon!” Maddy: “Fine, I’ll use me weak Pokémon as well, just to make it fair. Be right back!” Maddy quickly teleported back to Saffron, went to the PC at the Pokécenter, exchanged all her stronger Pokémon for her weaker ones, and teleported back to her clone. Maddy: “Ready!” Clone: “Ok!!! I can’t wait to have your name!!” Maddy and her clone both sent out Gible. The little dragons glared at each other, both with hungry looks on their scaly faces. Clone: “Hey! It doesn’t work if you send out the same Pokémon as me!” Maddy: “Not like I knew you were going to send out Gible…” The clone’s Gible slammed into Maddy’s Gible with a weak Tackle. Clone: “Yeah, I’m so going to win!” Maddy: “… with Tackle?” Clone: “A weak attack for a weak Pokémon!” Maddy: “I’ll show you how it’s done!” Maddy’s Gible unleashed a powerful Dragonbreath attack, which dealt decent damage to the clone’s Gible. Clone: “Wow! Gible can learn stronger attacks?!” Maddy: “Did they clone you a brain at all?!” The clone’s Gible rushed forward and chomped down on Maddy’s Gible with bite. Maddy’s Gible shook off the attack, and finished off the clone’s Gible by unleashing a power Draco Meteor. Next up for Gible was Squirtle. Squirtle used Ice Beam, which finished off Gible, thanks to the damage he had taken from the two previous attacks. Maddy sent out Scyther, who unleashed a powerful X-Scissor. Squirtle was forced backwards by the attack and immediately retreated into its shell, preparing its next attack. Scyther rushed forward and Slashed Squirtle with one of its blades. Squirtle erupted from its shell and blasted Scyther right in the stomach with Skull Bash. Scyther took great damage from the blow, and countered with another Slash, leaving Squirtle unable to fight. Scyther was panting heavily as its next opponent, Ghastly, phased into view. Using Hypnosis, the Ghost Pokémon quickly put Scyther to sleep. Scyther was curled up on the ground, fast asleep, snoring contently, when it suddenly started throwing tantrums in its sleep, as if having a Nightmare. Ghastly cackled devilishly as its Nightmare attack left Scyther unable to battle. Returning Scyther, Maddy threw out another Pokéball, which contained Charmander. Charmander took a deep breath and exhaled a hot stream of fire, which completely engulfed Ghastly. Ghastly floated over to Charmander and Licked him. Charmander jumped backwards, surprised by this kind of attack. Ghastly floated around in circles, and it sounded like it was laughing. Charmander growled out of frustration, and this time it used a powerful Fire Blast. Ghastly was once again engulfed by flame. Ghastly couldn’t take any more hits after that, so Clone Maddy was forced to return it. Sent out next was Spearow, who flapped its wings and blew dirt into Charmander’s eyes, reducing accuracy greatly. Charmander jumped at Spearow, trying to Scratch it, but it missed. Spearow dove in with Fury Attack, which consisted of several attacks. Charmander shook off the attack, and tried to Scratch Spearow again, this time succeeding. Spearow flapped its wings, this time using a Gust of wind to blow Charmander off its feet. Charmander didn’t get back up. In his place, Maddy sent out Squirtle, who used a power-packed Ice Beam. Spearow barely survived the powerful attack, and it started to prepare its next attack, its wing glowing ominously. Squirtle used Withdraw and raised its defence as Spearow suddenly flew at him with a ferocious Sky Attack. The attack did decent damage, despite Squirtle’s raised defence, but Squirtle was ready for more. It used Bubblebeam, which finished off Spearow. Clone Maddy was looking nervous now. She sent out her last Pokémon, Charmander. Maddy just laughed. She knew it was over now, she won this battle. Charmander used Flamethrower on Squirtle, the flames licked Squirtle’s body, and even though it didn’t do much damage, Squirtle was still left pretty weak. A huge wave of water crashed down over Charmander, dealing massive damage, and almost wiping out the poor Pokémon. Charmander countered the attack with Bite, KO’ing Squirtle. Maddy recalled Squirtle and sent out Ghastly in his place, who used Night Shade. This attack was the finishing blow that ended the battle. Clone: “Noooo!!! You can beat me even with weak Pokémon?!” Maddy: “You can’t expect to compare to the original.” Clone: “I gotta improve! I’m getting out of here!!!” Maddy: “Yeah, you better, Maddison!” Maddy laughed as her Clone flinched upon hearing her full name and then ran off, away from Pallet Town. With that out of the way, Maddy turned to look at her old house. It hadn’t changed much. She felt something tugging at the back of her shirt, and Maddy looked down to see one of the kids from Rag Tag standing next to her. RT Member: “You’re the real Maddy?” Maddy: “The one and only. Did anything happen here?” RT Member: “Nope, we seen that other Maddy come here accompanied with someone from LBG, so we wouldn’t tell them anything.” Maddy: “Wouldn’t tell them anything like what?” RT Member: “Your mom moved out of Pallet Town years ago. We don’t even know where she is right now, and luckily neither does Team Tsunami…” Maddy thought about this for a second. She didn’t know her mother had moved. She must’ve moved sometime after Maddy ran away. Ignoring whatever the little brat in front of her was saying, Maddy walked into her old house. Everything was exactly the way she left it, except more dust. On the table in the kitchen was a letter. Maddy sat at the table in silence and read the letter:
Dear Maddison,
If you’re reading this, then I guess you’ve learned that I’ve moved away. Far, far away. We’ll probably never see each other again, not that it matters. You weren’t much of a daughter anyways. I suppose I should just tell it to you straight. I was relieved when I woke up and found that you were gone, just like your father. You were both so…I don’t know. I can’t find the word to describe it. I just hope you’re not running away from the law, like your father. Last I heard, he was living in Jhoto with nowhere to go. Just him and his damn Pokémon that he loved more than his own family. Anyways, I have to go now. The movers are here. I… I never loved you. You were always such a burden and I’m glad that we’ve gone our separate ways. Good-bye.
Best of wishes, Mom
Maddy just read the letter over and over again. She felt heartbroken at her mother’s words, but the thing that touched her the most was the things mentioned about her father. He was living in Jhoto… Maddy remembered the man she had seen following her up until she got on the train to Kanto. His eyes were brown and had that kind look to them. They reminded her of her own eyes. Maddy walked upstairs to the bathroom and stood there in front of the mirror. She took out her red contacts. Everyone always thought her eyes were naturally red, but she never told them that she actually wore contacts. She looked at her eyes in the mirror. They were the same shade of brown as that mans. And now she knew. That man was her father. Maddy just sank down to her knees on the cold bathroom floor and cried, holding her head in her hands. Her father was the only person in her family that ever loved her, and she finally had a chance to sit and talk with him, but she missed it. She slapped herself and just leaned back against the wall, staring up at the ceiling. She closed her eyes, taking deep breaths. After a few minutes of just sitting in silence, Maddy wiped her face dry and went back downstairs. Next to the front door, on a little stand, was a picture. The picture was divided into four sections. In the top left section, was a picture of Maddy’s mother. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, and Maddy’s sister, who was in the section right below her, looked just like her. Next to her mother’s picture, was Maddy’s father. Maddy resembled him the most, as could be seen from her picture right below him. Maddy took the picture out of its frame and just looked at it. This picture was taken back when Maddy was five years old, two years before she ran away and one year before her father ran away. Maddy remembered that her father was blamed for stealing Pokémon from young trainers who had just started there journeys. Her mother had tried so hard to prove he was responsible for it, even though she knew he didn’t do it. To escape conviction, her father escaped to the other regions, where he was a free man. Maddy remember that once he left, her mother started treating her horribly. Her sister was always the favourite, and they’d both make Maddy’s life hell. Then, Maddy ran away from home the same day as her seventh birthday. She had been hoping she’d find her father, but instead she wandered Kanto for 8 years until she came to Hoenn and joined Team Aqua. With a sigh, Maddy carefully tucked the picture away in her pocket and walked outside. This place was no longer her home, who was she kidding? Tossing a Pokéball into the air, the red-and-white ball burst open to reveal Star. Maddy hopped onto the bird Pokémon and together they flew off into the distance, leaving Pallet Town and Kanto behind. Soon enough, they were both little black blurs obscured against the setting sun.
(( I apologize for being so repetitive with the battles and such. I was at me cousin’s all weekend and I had no access to the internet, therefore I couldn’t go on Serebii and look up more attack suggestions and had to think them all up off the top of me head. Poor excuse, I know. ))

Ginji wakes up under the cover of sand. He must have fallen asleep under the stars last night. "OKay, I guess it's RP time. Who's ready?" he asked.

*As Ike walked through the streets of Altomare with the knocked-out Director, he dodged funny look from other people. He and Venomoth, who was carrying Ames, rounded a corner.*
Ike: *Pulled out his newly-fixed TADS and started to play with it* Call me crazy Venomoth, but I think I have an idea... >_> Kinda going over my head, though... Venomoth: *Drops Ames to the stone-street hard, taking a load off.*

"Good," Ginji contemplates as he prepares his Pokemon. It might wind up being a long day. He sighed. "Today might not be a day for major revenge, but I can promise some action." he smiled half heartedly as he stood up and dusted himself off.

Sammy put her fist in the air. "Let's go kick some MegaTsunami booty!" Squirt and Vixen appeared beside her with little pompoms, cheering on the idea. "Where did you guys get those...? eek "

*Ike sends a message to Ginji*
Message: I hope you guys are doing ok. Everything's fine on my end. I mean, to Aqua's standards. I have an idea.
We can't stay on the islands forever. We also can't just move in to some building or cave and call it home. Archie'll find us. Wouldn't be pretty.
I want you to take whoever you can and visit an old friend of Team Aqua's, Prof. Rowan. We helped him out last year with some Galactic problems and I'm sure he can hook us up with some powerful allies. He was the former champion of the Sinnoh Pokemon League, so he has to have some buddies who can help us. Go to Sandgem Town and see if you can find him.
Oh, by the way, that's not the idea I was thinking of. I'll explain the bigger plan when I meet you guys there. It'll be awhile though. I have some extra luggage to carry with me.
Be safe!
-Ike
