((No problem, I was going to set one up after tomorrow's RP, and it's completely within your rights to, I read the rules on this. I'm sure they're around here somewhere. I guess I'll grade it for kicks. I've already read it anyways... but I don't think training missions can fail. Someone should really clarify this...)) Ginji smiled as he saw KW and his new friend. "Be sure to protect it with all of your heart." was all he said as he looked around for something to do.

kwchups Mission: Cave Training RP I don't really care about Shellos' color, and I don't think anyone else will if you, so you can have it. One hiccup you had though was with Destiny Bond. I'm pretty sure that it only lasts for the turn it was cast. Or used. Whatever. But since it was a good mission otherwise and it's a training mission, I'll let it pass. I think I'm suppose to hand out a reward or something. How about 500 PD and the Shellos? Sorry I couldn't be more creative with them.

Ginji smiled again. Fake smile. It didn't matter. He'd have his revenge. But he couldn't help feeling lousy. Tomorrow was another day. "Okay, but don't hold your breathe." he said as he watched the Shellos.

MISSION- Down, But Not Out! Team MegaTsunami will stop at nothing to eliminate 100% of Team Aqua. Archie has sent his Admins out to destroy any family or friends you have. Go seek out your friends and family to protect them from harm. If there are none, fight along-side Team Rag-Tag. Your loved ones, after all, have no idea what's coming to them.
You will face two Tsunami grunts (each with 1 to 4 pokémon), one Legendary Brilliance Peon with 1 to 4 pokémon, your clone from Team Clone who will use 3 to 6 of your pokémon's clones, and Tsunami Admin Shelly (Crawdaunt, Sharpedo,Walrein, Ludicolo, Mightyena). They will use at least three pokémon from that list, and may have unlisted pokémon.)
Please note: The higher your rank, the more difficult this mission will be for you.
Pokemon: 1 Non-legendary Pokemon allowed at your rank.
Rewards: Up to P$20,000, and a choice of a Destiny Knot, Rainbow Pokéblock, or an evolution-inducing held item (e.g. Dubious Disk or Metal Coat)
----------------------------------------------
Stephanie. How he loved her very name. Ginji sighed as he remembered his fated sister, too bad he had no idea where she was, AND it didn't help that the opposite side was also tracking her down and trying to erase her. He couldn't bring himself to think 'kill' but he knew it would be very much a reality if he couldn't protect her. The blonde boy chose four of his psychic Pokemon to help reduce time spent traveling. Chimecho, Haunter, Noctowl and Espeon appeared in a flash of white light, giving off various chirps and chimes. "Okay guys, we're going after Stephanie." Ginji smiled as he sat on the ground of the island, closing his eyes in thought.
The others gathered around him and used the same state of mind to try and find Ginji's lost sister, his only family left. Ginji had predicted that she had been managing a PokeCenter in her spare time as she always loved medicine to an unnatural extent, but this was uncertain. As they shifted from place to place in the psychic plane, they came across various images of the Head Quarters of both Rocket and Aqua and saw other things as well.
In a blink, the group was gone. When they opened their eyes, nothing was seen but blackness. Blackness and more blackness. Ginji jumped to his feet when he heard a deep breathing and huge stomping sounds rushing towards the group from the blackness. Heavy steps. Espeon and Chimecho quickly rushed into action and unleashed massive amounts of psychic energy to try and immobilize the attacking foe. Noctowl then used its night vision to see the darkness' true form. It chirped and pecked at Ginji's Pokedex until the figure's outline showed up on the tiny LCD screen.
"Rhydon. The Drill Pokemon. Its brain developed after it stood up on its hind legs. Its drill horn bores tunnels through solid rock." Dex said in a massive monotone. Ginji chuckled a bit before unleashing all his forces to do battle that was upon them. It was definitely not a fair fight, but it was Rhydon who started it, and Ginji was definitely not in the mood to deal with the imbecile of a Pokemon. Haunter phased behind the giant Pokemon and released a Shadow Ball, lowering Rhydon's Special Defense. The captive Pokemon burst free of the other Pokemon's psychic attacks to use Rock Slide, caving Ginji and his party in, and doing damage to that party. Most of the Pokemon just shook the attack off, except for Noctowl who was breathing heavily and having bruises up against its wings. The bid Pokemon used an Extrasensory to paralyze Rhydon once again, aided by Haunter's Hypnosis, successfully putting the beast of a Pokemon to sleep.
Ginji smiled, this was his chance to add more defense to his team, as it was currently lacking in most forms of defense as he found out in a few battles back at HQ. "Oh HQ!" the boy thought as he fell to his knees, the thought of his old home being reduced to rubble was almost more then he could bare, but losing his sister was something that he could never forgive himself for. So for now, he had to bear the pain and persevere. He slowly got to his feet, hoping he wouldn't have another episode as dramatic as the last. He reached into his backpack that housed all of his Pokemon and reached for a blank Ultraball to toss at Rhydon who was sucked up on contact. Although the tunnel was dark, the Team could still hear the wiggles and wobbles of the ball.
"Wiggle. Wobble. Wiggle. DING!" as the center of the ball turned the familiar white color and raced back to Ginji's hand.
"Alright guys, lets get going, we still have to find Stephanie." Ginji encouraged as they disappeared again into the darkness. Teleportation was definitely his new favorite way to travel. As they stepped out into the sun of what appeared to be the outskirts of Sunnyshore. The sun was smiling down on them. What a day this was turning out to be! Ginji returned his psychic team of teleporters as he could see a PokeCenter in the distance and he didn't want to attract unwanted attention.
As he arrived, the sliding doors greeted him by separating, as if he had the powers to control space itself. He walked slowly to the counter and asked for his sister by name. "Is Stephanie Takashi here by any chance?" he asked the Nurse, trying to play the whole situation cool. The nurse first looked at him with a confused look before recognizing him.
"Weren't you here a few days ago?" she asked, noting the fashionable appearance and bright eye color the Aquaian had. Ginji looked like he got ran over by a double seated bicycle as he starred in awe. "Yeah, you asked about the security system and then left in quite a hurry. I assured you that your Pokemon would have the most secure healing pods." the Nurse continued. "But anyways, I believe the Manager is in her room. You can go upstairs if you want."she finished as she hurried back to work.
Ginji sighed, his new clone must have already been here to survey the lay of the land. "They must be planning an attack soon." the boy muttered under his breathe to make it seem more dramatic then what it had been in his head as he headed up the stairs marked 'Employees Only.' which were made of wood and creaked when pressure was put on them. It made the boy a bit nervous, but it wouldn't matter if anyone knew he was coming this time.
Walking along the right side of the hallway he finally came across a door marked 'Boss' Ginji smiled at this statement as it was so like his quirky sister. He slowly twisted the knob and burst into the room closing his eyes and putting on a big smile and exclaiming, "Sister! I'm here!" he slowly opened his eyes to find an elderly man sitting in the 'Boss' chair. Ginji's expression suddenly dropped as he closed the door and began to search for the actual room of Stephanie. The man looked up just in time to see the door close behind Ginji, he grunts and gets back to whatever he was doing.
Sitting on the floor on the other side of the door, Ginji sweated in embarrassment. "I wonder where she is then..." he sighed. Maybe she really didn't work here. As he looked to the ground for answers a lanky women walked up towards him, seeming very ticked.
"HEY! Get off a my clean floor!" The women yelled at the top of her lungs, getting Ginji's attention immediately. As the boy looks up, she recognizes Ginji immediately as her brother. "What are you doing here?!!!" she explodes as she takes a mop to his face.
"Sis, what're you doing in a janitor outfit?" Ginji asked, as he tries to get the mop out of his face to try and carry a normal conversation. "And why aren't you kidnaped or something?" he said in surprise, expecially with his clone running about.
"Because our janitor was sick today, so I had to fill in for him." Steph explained as she lowered her weapon. He eyes wide in shock at her brother's assumption. "And why would I be kidnaped?!" she asked exuberantly as she readied her mop again, this time to kill.
"Well, let me start at the beginning." Ginji sighed as he stood up and gave her sister a big hug. "This may take a little longer then you think..." he sighed again as he took his big sis' hand and lead her to the lounge where they'd be more of a scene if they were attacked, luckily it was empty when they sat down. Ginji took the big green fluffy chair, whereas Steph sat across from him on the plaid couch. Both were equally comfy, but neither could enjoy that comfort as the tension between the two had come to a maximum.
"I am not part of a scientific investigation squad," Ginji said forthright as he sat forward, rounding his spine. "Before you say anything, I'm part of Team Aqua. We're the good guys. We've saved the world many times before, and we need to save it again. Archie is at large and is planning something with Kyogre. Something bad. Probably trying to flood the world again. He destroyed our HQ and he also is planning to kill anyone who has ties to Aqua, even if it is by pure blood." Ginji finished as he sat back to relax into the comfy chair. It felt good to get this out in the open, but he still was wondering how she would take it.
"It all makes sense now." Steph muttered, playing with her brown hair and and reaching into her pocket to produce a small folded piece of paper. "Here." she smiled awkwardly as Ginji often did to diffuse the situation to calm everyone down. "I received it on my office door a few days ago, I've had my secretary, who is the elderly man you saw in my office, to look into it, but all tests came back negative."
Now Ginji was intrigued. A note from a mysterious person holding what secrets? "Thank you." he smiled too, this time genuine. Only in front of her. He then unfolded the note and began to read.
Dear Ms. Takahasino,
I regret to inform you that you are dead. If you come peacefully, you may be spared depending on the Team's current condition. I hope you can make arrangements to be taken exactly 3 days from now. Do not try calling the cops, it'll only cause a much bigger ruckus. And we wouldn't want to hurt your brother.
-With all due respect, Gunnar Reign
"Gunnar Reign?" Ginji asked, trying to decipher the hidden meaning. The 'brother' they spoke of was obviously a fake, or possibly a trick. Team Clone perhaps.. "Is today that day?" he tried to change the subject fast, knowing full well what this may mean.
"Yes." Steph answered dryly, knowing full well what may happen if she lied.
"Then I have one more piece of information to give you." Ginji smiled again with urgency. "Team Clone is allied with Archie and we also believe, no, we know, that the Legendary Brilliance Gang is also a part of his scheme. Team Clone has the ability to clone anyone, but with some flaws. They are dedicated to caused mass chaos using the Aqua name and as for the Legendary Brilliance Gang, or LBG, they like to keep quite and undetected." He smiled as he ran to the PC, exchanging his Pokemon and running back.
"I want to fight too." Steph said, looking at Ginji's balls in his hand. "Together, we will be victorious!" she raised a ball in her hand, it expanding by reacting with her body heat signature. This was typical Steph.
Ginji closed his eyes and thought, hanging his head. "Deal. We'll tag team this one." he chuckled as the lights went out in the PokeCenter. "Right on time." he smiled, looking at his TADS, grabbed Steph and ran outside. To meet them were two male Team Tsunami Grunts. "You guys'll have to go through us if you want her!" Ginji yelled as he waited for the Grunt's reply.
"Then we'll just wipe the floor with both of you!" the more experienced grunt yelled back as he sent out a Mightyena and a Sableye, both growling as if with the intent to kill. Fearsome opponents indeed.
"They're mine." Steph commanded sternly as she sent out her Hitmontop and Machoke, both showing off their abilities to look tough and devastating at the same time. Perfect for this type of situation, and a perfect choice for her tough attitude. The clouds drew inward as if the very heavens wanted to make the battle more interesting.
The Grunt behind the one Steph was fighting came forward towards Ginji , hiding his hands, as if concealing a gun, he draws and a Pokeball launcher appears to shoot a few rounds at the agile boy. "I have you now!" as the man shoots two balls at the ground, revealing a Poliwhirl and Dewgong. Ginji smiled before unearthing a contraption of his own. The toilet seat connected to the Power Crystal and bedsprings. To make the battle fair just incase they tried anything funny.
"I guess you're mine!" Ginji commanded as well as he drew two balls from his belt area. They exploded on the spot to reveal two able bodied Ivysaurs appeared and shook their leaves before realizing the type of situation they were in. Poliwhirl attempted to use Psychic on the Male Ivysaur, but Ivysaur's mental strength was too much to handle! Dewgong drew in the power of the cold winter to shoot an Ice Beam at the Male Ivysaur, doing major damage and giving him a chill. Ginji's male Ivysaur started off by using a Sunny Day to clear most of the rain and bring out the sun so the Female Ivysaur could use a Solarbeam on Dewgong, being the most dangerous opponent in this situation.
Dewgong looked horrible already. Maybe worse then the Ivysaur that got hit with Ice beam. It was time for revenge. The male Ivysaur's Quick Claw activated as it drew in the remaining sunlight to power a Solarbeam of its own, making quick work of the Dewgong. Poliwhirl's Hypnosis hit the attacking Ivysaur and made it fall asleep. Too bad for him, Ginji's female Ivysaur was quickly drawing in Sunlight and releasing it in pure to knock Poliwhirl off of its feet and into a nearby rock. Poliwhirl barely looked like it could stand, but managed to get back to its feet. Upon returning to the battle, it used a Psychic on the sleeping Ivysaur, causing it to roll over on its back. The other Ivysaur saw this happening and unleashed a vicious Razor Leaf barrage to knock off the final resolve of the hurt Poliwhirl.
Meanwhile next to Ginji, Stephanie was fighting just as hard, if not harder against her attackers. She tossed two Pokeballs gallantly into the air to defend herself, appearing out of her shining balls were non other then her prized Hitmontop and Machoke, who had each had a considerable amount of training back in the day. The opponent's Mightyena and Sableye stared the two down as Hitmontop jumped up high after spinning around to gain momentum and came crashing down on Mightyena. "Hi Jump Kick!" Stephanie smiled as she watched the poetry in motion. The Grunts just grunted as his Mightyena leapt into action, throwing a Shadow Ball at Machoke. Machoke just shook it off and ran and picked up multiple rocks to activate Rock Slide on the opposing team. Sableye finally stopped stalling and rushed at Hitmontop using a Zen Headbutt, knocking the spinning Pokemon to the ground. Mightyena then rushed at the fallen Pokemon with a Take Down to do more damage and keep Hitmontop down. As Hitmontop got up it ate the Oran berry Steph had given him a few days ago and spun at Mightyena again with a High Jump Kick, upon contact, the wolf fell to the ground and didn't get up until its trainer called it back. Machoke roared in anger at the Sableye using a Poison Jab to poison the foe and slowly cut away at its remaining health. Sableye ignored the feeble attempt at its life and prepared another Zen Headbutt on Hitmontop, this time knocking it out for a long time. Steph sighed as she recalled her Pokemon, whispering about what a good job he did. Machoke drew in its breath and released a heated Fire Blast on its shady opponent, burning away the last of its energy in a heated flame.
The Grunt Ginji was facing grunted a few more times before firing the cannon again and sending a Kingler and Octillery to the front lines. Ginji almost fell on the ground in surprise as he returned his Ivysaurs. He regained his composer and regained his balance on his feet. He then turned to his sister's battle as the first few Pokemon were knocked out. "Hey sis? Wanna trade? I mean, I work for Aqua, we got enough Water types over there." he explained ashe rushed over to her.
"Oh, okay. I can do that." She smiled as she returned her two fighting types. "I bet they'll be no match for what I have in store for them!" She glared at the two water types evilly as she grabbed for two ThunderBalls.
"You don't mean-?" Ginji started as he too grabbed two DuskBalls, knowing full well what agony the Tsunami Grunts were in for. Poor them. "Ah well, no use dwelling on the present. I just hope I get to see it." He sighed as the Grunt tossed out a Cacturne and a Drapion. What utter brilliance these Teams had. "I'm sure you spent hours trying to pick which Pokemon to bring today." Ginji rolled his eyes as Haunter and Houndoom appeared on the battlefield. "One dark type deserves another." he smiled as the Grunt grunted for another time. Not the talkative type, that's for sure.
Haunter started off with a Sludge Bomb on Cacturne, doing super-effective damage. Cacturne roared in anger as the foe's Drapion rushed back at Haunter using a Cross Poison attack, inflicting poison on the ghost Pokemon. Houndoom howled as a flame smoked in its mouth, taken from all the energy in its body to produce a Fire-Blast to smolt the plant Pokemon, giving it a nice burn to match its withered state. Cacturne knew its time was up, but before it finally fell it rushed again, using a Giga Impact to damage Houndoom drastically before giving itself to the darkness. Ginji's Team now had the upper hand, no matter how small of an advantage it was, it was still a good margin. Drapion noticed that it was alone. Alone and aggressive. The scorpion smashed the ground, producing an Earthquake against Houndoom who barely stood the attack. Haunter who was wide awake, even with the poison's effect, was still conscious. Drawing upon the source of evil energy, taking in so much the ghost started to glow a funky purple color as Houndoom set up a Protect for its next move. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" went the Haunter as parts of the now fainted Pokemon rained down from the sky as it returned to Ginji's Pokeball. Surprisingly, Drapion was surprisingly not fainted, but it looked super winded. It must of had a Focus Band or something. Anyways, Houndoom finally got to attack first and finished the last of the scorpion's strength with a Bite attack. Drapion fainted slowly, picking up speed as it fell to the ground and back into the Grunt's ball. Victory.
"Good job Haunter, Houndoom." Ginji smiled as he returned his faithful dog to its ball. It deserved a good long rest after that battle. He then turned away from the Tsunami Grunt to walk over to his sister who was finishing up her battle with the Water Team. "What a good battle."Ginji smiled as he watched his two favorite Pokemon of hers jumped through the air and smashed their opponents to the ground.
[During Ginji's Battle] Stephanie tossed up her two Thunderballs and out came two magnificently groomed Luxrays. They immediately burst into action, both of their Quick Claws activating at the same time to produce a Double Thunder. The sky had settled after the Ivysaur's Sunny Day and the rain was falling down epically to suggest the turning of the century. Both struck their designated target. Kingler. The great crab Pokemon went down without a fight. This was a cake walk for Stephanie's Pokemon. Octillery was scared, how could such raw power be contained by such awesome Pokemon? It didn't make any sense. In that fear, the octopus let loose an Octazooka to cut the accuracy of the Luxray on the left. It didn't matter though, as long as the rainy weather stayed Luxray could just use Thunder and it would auto-hit. Both of the Luxrays roared as a third and fourth bolt of lighting came crashing down on the Grunt's Pokemon, fainting it as well in the combo.
As Steph returned her Pokemon to their balls, she saw Ginji watching with amusement. She smiled and brushed the hair out of her face as the Grunt rose to his feet and joined his friend. "You will pay for your insolence. Prepare for them. Tomorrow, the hour of your defeat will be upon you Rocket! Aquaian! And Family!" the Grunt finally yelled out as the two Grunts disappeared into the now dusk time, leaving not a trace behind.
"We better get some rest." Ginji smiled as he took he sister's hand and led her to her bed in the PokeCenter. "We have a long day tomorrow." He smiled as he set up a futon and placed it on the floor, sleeping like a rock once his head hit the pillow.
Morning came as the Murkrow sounded the arrival of dawn. Another wonderful day in paradise. Yeah. Paradise. That's what they're calling it now a days. Both trainers got out of bed slowly and they gave each other the longest hug they had had in a long time. Both whispered things such as "I don't want to lose you again.", "Let's give them Hell.", and "I promise it'll be fine." after they finally broke apart they headed downstairs to figure out which Pokemon to bring to the following battles.
Finally, when they were ready they headed outside. Waiting for them were several suits and a black Mini-Van. In front was what appeared to be a LBG Peon with two familiar faces. One had the shining blue eyes and dirty blonde hair of Ginji, and the other had the dark shaded hair and red dress of Stephanie. Team Clone had arrived, and they had brought back-up to deal with an insignificant problem.
"Well well look who it is Caroline. It seems we've stumbled upon the Jackpot!" The boy who couldn't be anyone but Ginji's clone said to the lady, Steph's clone obviously.
"Why it seems we have Gunnar. Both of our clones lined up like lambs to the slaughter." She paused to laugh evilly before kicking the Peon in the back to make him step forward and face Ginji. "You! Go figure out his strengths!" she commanded as she snapped her fingers and a lawn chair appeared out of nowhere and she sat down, watching as the Peon slowly made his way to Ginji.
"You really are impatient." the clone called Gunnar sighed as he too snapped his fingers and sat in a lawn chair that had an Apple Juice in the arm rest.
"I don't even like Apple Juice." Ginji muttered as he grabbed a Pokeball and tossed it into the Peon's way. A giant Aggron appeared as the Peon tossed out an Electivire. He was going all out so he could get to those two jerks of a clone as fast as possible. Electivire ran at Aggron and spun on its hands delivering a powerful Cross Chop to its hard underbelly, cracking its near perfect armor with the force of the attack. Aggron screamed in pain before causing its whole body to glow with a Metal Burst in order to do double damage upon the attacking enemy, causing it to faint on the spot. Aggron returned to its Pokeball before the Peon grunted as the Grunts did and sent out another Pokemon. Jolteon. What was it with the LBG and electric types? Expecially when going up with people who actually knew what they were going? Silly teams and their silly ways.
Ginji sighed again as he looked towards his sister for help. She simply mouthed the words 'Don't let them push you around.' as she watched from a few yards behind him as he grabbed for a Pokeball he hadn't used in quite a long time. "Dragonite, show them what you're made of!" he called out as the anger inside of his started to bubble to the surface. He didn't care. He felt alive. His sister was alive and with him every step of the way. It was good. It was powerful.
Jolteon quickly attacked first with a Thunderbolt attack that seemed to phase right through Dragonite's body and into the ground below. Flapping its wings and jumping on the ground created a giant Earthquake that Jolteon couldn't avoid. Barely being able to stand this early in the battle, Jolteon was a sure goner, but just in case, it used a Thunder to weaken Dragonite further. This ticked something in Dragonite's cerebellum as it started using vicious surges of Outrage on its opponent's hide, causing the pins on Jolteon's back to rise and attack with another Thunder! This one struck hard, Dragonite fell to the ground, KO'd. Ginji stared. Then he exploded. Then he chucked another Pokeball into the arena. The Peon returned his Jolteon and sent out a fearsome Fearow, its wingspan was twice as large as the average bird Pokemon. Just then, Ginji's Pokeball exploded to reveal his first Pokemon. A Raichu, they'd been through some tough times, but they always seemed to get 'er done.
Raichu let loose a Thunderbolt to start things off with a powerful jolt of electricity, doing super-effective damage to the bird Pokemon. Fearow hurdled towards Raichu with a nose dive maneuver before drilling into the electric Pokemon for some scrapes and bruises. Raichu's Static paralyzed the attacking bird Pokemon, and Raichu retorted with another blast from its electric cheeks to send the bird flying into oblivion and beyond. Immediately the Peon sent forth a Murkrow to fill the hole in the field. Ginji recalled Raichu and sent out his Wailmer to give it some experience. This wasn't a battle he wanted to dominate, no matter how angry he got, or how much anger he had left.
Murkrow disappears into the shadows and then appears behind Wailmer to use a Sucker Punch. Wailmer sends various blocks of ice down on the attacking Pokemon to produce an Avalanche, doing massive amounts of damage. Murkrow then threw a Wing Attack on the oversized ball of fun, making it jiggle with joy. Wailmer looked dreadful as it prepared another attack. A jet of water shot out of its blowhole and hit Murkrow straight up with a powerful Brine move that rocketed it into a nearby tree, the bid Pokemon fainted as it hit the ground.
Both sides returned their respective Pokemon as the clones packed away their chairs and started slowly down the hill as the Peon ran from the scene of the battle. "Quick. We can't face them like this. We need to get to a health item or something. And I don't have any Revives." Ginji stuttered his anger clouded his vision as he turned to Steph.
"Bro? Can you hear yourself?" Steph wondered as she looked towards her job site. The boy had obviously lost his mind.
"This isn't the time for joking Steph, this is serious!" Ginji just about yelled as he grabbed his wounded Pokemon's Balls, his heart racing about a million miles per hour as his eyes darted from his sister to the Clones to his Pokeballs.
Steph sighed. Her brother had gone blind. She grabbed his hand as rushed him to the PokeCenter right behind them, as Ginji rushed to the PC and Health Machines, she picked up a special Pokeball from the Center shelves marked 'For Emergencies Only' this obviously qualified as more then an emergency. The kin then rushed back outside in time to see their Clones arrive at the scene of the last battle with smirks on their faces.
Gunnar took out a box from his pocket, which then folded to show a more powerful version of Ginji's Toilet Seat WMD that he made while he was in captivity. The Clone had apparently made adjustments to his so that it would pack more of a punch. "Oh how I have longed to do this Ginji." the Clone smiled evilly as he turned the dial up to '11' and fired directly at the boy. From his side, a Pokeball exploded to reveal a gianormous Snorlax which immediately used a Protect to save its trainer from being sent straight to Oblivion. Gunnar, the Clone, cursed under his breathe as he fumbled for a Pokeball. "Looks like we'll have to settle this the old fashioned way." he sighed as he tossed an Ultraball onto the field. Dragonite roared as it unleashed a furry of Outrage at Snorlax.
Snorlax simply took the hit as it charged up an Ice Beam that burned Dragonite's skin, doing major damage to the dragon type. Snorlax's Quick Claw then activated, letting it then use a Blizzard to slow down the Dragonite some more. Although it did do major damage, the Dragonite seemed un fazed by the attack as it continued its rampage on the heavyweight Pokemon. As Dragonite slowly drifted into confusion, it attacked itself, giving Snorlax the opening for another Ice Beam. Dragonite feel to the ground hard, being too cold and tired to battle onward.
Wailord was next up in the line of Clones. Obviously a clone of Ginji's Wailmer and then trained to a huge degree. Or rather, cloned as a Wailord and completely skipping the Wailmer stage. Snorlax looked at the huge Pokemon in front of him and staggered a second, but that was all it took. Wailord released a Water Pulse to try and knock out Snorlax. It didn't, but Snorlax was barely hanging on. The giant Pokemon fell, and landed on it's super stomach as it fell asleep. Wailord look surprised, but took this chance to do more damage to Snorlax, using it's gigantic body it slammed the ground with its tail and produced a powerful Earthquake that made Snorlax stir. Snorlax started to move around although it was still asleep! Sleep Talk! Ginji was excited, he wondered what type of move Snorlax would use. It rushed at the oversized Pokemon and started Thrashing around to do damage to the Whale. The made the Wailord laugh as it used another Earthquake to knock Snorlax out.
Ginji sighed. At least he was still ahead, it only by a little bit. Luxray appeared next, ready to take on the oversized jerk. The electric Pokemon started off with a Thunder attack that couldn't have missed even if the gods willed it as the target was so big! Wailord moaned in pain before using another Earthquake. Luxray wasn't going to make it, but he managed to pull through by using its Focus Band to barely hold on. One more Thunder fell from the sky and Wailord was down and out. And Luxray was going to be as soon as the next Pokemon came out.
Gunnar laughed evilly as he returned Wailord. "You're good, but are you Venusaur good?" he asked referring to how Ginji's Ivysaurs hadn't evolved yet and to his next choice of Pokemon.
"You're using a Pokemon who shines in a double battle in a single battle?" Ginji almost laughed as Venusaur appeared and used another Earthquake to dominate Luxray's last remaining strength. Ginji smiled as he tossed out his next Pokemon. It might not have been the smartest choice for the type, but it was what he had to work with. Aggron used it's Wooden Puppet to create a substitute before Venusaur's Earthquake hit, draining about 10% of its starting health as the substitute exploded. Aggron then sent forth a Flamethrower to do as much damage as he could before the next round. Venusaur had even contracted a burn from the last attack. Venusaur hit the ground with another Earthquake, doing super effective damage to the steel Pokemon before it unleashed another Flamethrower to try and knock out the grass type. No deal. One last time, the staggering Venusaur hit the ground and made the weak Aggron faint as the burn took its toll and took the last of Venusaur's strength.
Next up, Ginji's Flygon versus Gunnar's Luxray. Flygon rushes at Luxray using a Stone Edge, knocking the electric Pokemon off balance and forcing a Critical Hit. Luxray roared as it clomped onto Flygon's wing with an Ice Fang, burning the wing and making Flygon scream in pain. This was unforgivable. Flygon pounded the ground for an Earthquake so powerful Luxray had no idea what had hit it before slipping off into unconsciousness. Next up for Gunnar's side was a inverse Lucario who dual wielded Aura ability. The Yellow Lucario took in all the energy from the surrounding area and forced it upon Flygon using a Dragon pulse move that sent the Pokemon flying. It was obvious that Flygon had fainted, so Ginji recalled it and threw a worthy match for the Lucario out. His own Lucario.
Ginji's Lucario struck first using Aura Sphere that was returned by the yellow Lucario's own Aura Sphere. The two Pokemon then went into Extreme Speed mode and started duking it out, matching each other's blows evenly. One punch, two punches. Each seemed to have an impenetrable defense. That was until Gunnar's Lucario charged an Aura Sphere and shot it into Lucario's back, sending it hurdling to the cold hard ground. Immediately Ginji's Lucario got to its feet and rocketed upwards to attack with Blaze Kick, taking the battle to the enemy, he then finished the combo by using an Extreme-speed. The yellow Lucario fell to the ground, but as it was falling, one last Aura sphere came and struck Ginji's Lucario right in the chest, causing it to fall to the ground too. Both were knocked out. Both were defeated.
Both Gunnar and Ginji looked surprised by the outcome of the last battle. But no matter, they returned their fighter and both sent out their final Pokemon. A Wartortle for Ginji and an Arcanine for Gunnar. From where Stephanie was fighting, shoots of "How could this happen?!" could be heard, but Ginji was too focused on winning that he payed no attention to whatever may be going on with Caroline.
Arcanine started off with an Extreme-speed, knocking some sense out of Wartortle, but not enough to distort him. Wartortle summoned a giant Muddy Water to deal massive damage to Arcanine and lower the foe's accuracy slightly, hopefully having a significant effect later on in the battle. Arcanine rushed at Wartortle, but seemed to lose all direction after a second, its head looked up, as to look for a target that could no longer be found. Wartortle saw the opening and attacked the fire Pokemon with a Surf to drown its fiery heart in smoldering water.
Gunnar was defeated, "I see I'm not strong enough yet." he winced as he disappeared into the thin air, leaving nothing but a memory behind.
Ginji quickly returned Wartortle as he clone disappeared with that same stupid evil grin. This worried Ginji, but he paid no attention as he tried to find his sister. He looked left, then right. Then he even looked up. One thing on the scene had changed. One thing. Ginji noticed that the van was missing. And a figure was standing where it once stood. This was bad. Very bad. The boy quickly rushed to the PokeCenter, healed, switched and rearranged hold items on his Pokemon and headed back outside to be confronted with Shelly of the Mega-Tsunami Team.
"Where's my Sister?!" Ginji yelled as Shelly just glared away.
"Long gone punk. You'll probably see her again, in your dreams!" she retorted. "She's been taken for collateral, for your clone of course. You two'll have an abundant amount of fun the next time you meet." she giggled like a schoolgirl as she tossed out two Pokeballs, stalling for get away time for Gunnar and Caroline.
Crawdaunt and Sharpedo appeared and it was ready for action. Ginji tossed two Pokeballs into the fray as well. Dragonite and Luxray appeared just in time for Sharpedo to strike with Ice Beam on Dragonite. Dragonite retaliated with a Thunder of the shark Pokemon which Luxray followed up with a Thunderbolt, causing Sharpedo to become over electrocuted and faint. One down. Crawdaunt looked at the fainted Pokemon and became so angry it used Ancient Power on Dragonite, and boosting each of its stats 1 level, doing more damage to the ancient dragon. Shelly sent out her Walrein to back up Crawdaunt.
Playing it safe, Dragonite and Luxray decided to fly and run around sprouting Thunderbolts and double teaming Crawdaunt with their electricity as the shellfish Pokemon was too stupid to defend itself from the onslaught of thunder based attacks. Crawdaunt fell. Hard. Walrein roared in a furry tone and released a Blizzard, striking both Pokemon and overpowering Dragonite with cold temperatures, causing it to faint. Ginji sent out his Raichu as Shelly sent out Ludicolo.
Another electric type. Ginji caught on quick when it came to Team Mega-Tsunami. Water Pokemon with a twist would definitely describe their Pokemon choice as Raichu readied another Thunderbolt. This was quite the uninteresting battle they had going on. Luxray and Raichu combined their electric STAB to do major damage to Walrein, but it held on with its Focus Band! Ludicolo summons a giant tidal wave to crush both electric Pokemon, and its own team mate! Both Luxray and Walrein faint in the giant tsunami that was Surf.
Snorlax appears for Ginji's side as a Mightyena does for Shelly. The battle was going along smoothly as it seemed that Ginji had Shelly on the run. Raichu starts by ramming into Ludicolo with Iron Tail, knocking the green thing off balance and defenseless. Mightyena launched a Shadow Ball at the dominant Raichu, causing him to wince in pain. Next up, Ludicolo sent forth another surf, taking Raichu down to the depths with the giant wave, and hitting Mightyena and Snorlax in the process. Snorlax was alone, but not defenseless. Snorlax drew upon the Focused Energy it had been collecting and shot a Focus Blast at the Mightyena, proving to be too much after the last surf attack, fainted.
Shelly was nervous. She was down to her last spare Pokemon, whereas Ginji still had one in reserve. She tossed out Froslass where Ginji sent out his trusted Starmie. A light blue Aura surrounded Ludicolo as it was hurdled into Froslass by Starmie's psychic. Froslass quickly phased through the oversized dancing Pokemon before using a Thunderbolt on Starmie. Ludicolo took a bit longer then the other Pokemon to regain its composure before stealing some health from Starmie with Mega Drain, restoring some of its own health in the process. Snorlax roared loudly before unleashing a devastating Zen Headbutt on the ghost Pokemon, Froslass. Starmie then continued the onslaught by attacking Froslass with another psychic to send it flying into a tree. As the Pokemon crashed down it was apparent that rage had empowered the starfish to overthrow the Froslass, but there was still one more Pokemon to deal with. Ludicolo. The grass Pokemon attacked with a Grass Knot on Snorlax, doing massive amounts of damage to the heavyweight Pokemon before it used another Zen Headbutt to fling the Ludicolo back to the pre-evolution stages. It was over.
"Now tell me where she is!" Ginji yelled at Shelly, grabbing her by the collar and starring her in the face. She shifted her weight and kicked him in the stomach, making him let go and collapse on the floor, she then searched for a pressure point and forced her assailant unconscious as she left to do more important things.
Ginji slowly drifted into the state of unconsciousness on the wet, cold, hard ground. Without his Pokemon to comfort him, without his sister to pester him. Without his team mates to pick him up. As he drifted off into lala land, his TADS executed an emergency function, allowing Haunter to appear from his side pocket and to Teleport him back to the safety of Whirl Island.
