Goodnight Alex.

Geodes are nice, but many great minerals can't be found in geodes.

Nothing is sexier than a garnet mica shist, where the great big gemmy garnet crystals are sticking out of a frosty white rock, shining from the tiny mica crystals. Mica's are natural glitter, the closest thing you can get to fairy dust. And Garnet usually forms in 12-sided dice-shaped crystals.

Garnet Mica Schist. This picture does not do it justice, because you need to see it in dazzling sunlight, where it sparkles like freshly fallen snow.

I firmly belive that cut gemstones are uglier than natural minerals. Cutting a beautiful crystal to make jewelry is practially a sin.

Proof: http://www.johnbetts-fineminerals.com/

Check out thoes uncut, natural diamond crystals, and how absolutely beautiful the natural crystaline structure is. People take thoes and cut them down to make generic sparklies for overpriced rings. Dear god, it's like murder ;_;

Lady D: what do the Special silky slimes look like? Are the something I can order?

Miriam: I like my "generic sparklie" in my "overpriced ring," though I don't like that it's overpriced.

The prices of diamonds in rings from popular Jewelers, like Debeers for example, are artifically inflated because of bad buisness practices. This includes the diamond selling companies supporting wars in the countries the diamonds come from.

Diamonds are practically worthless in reality. Artificial ones are easy to make, and all natural Diamond crystals slowly start to turn to graphite at surface pressure.

Ah, but it's still pretty to look at.
