Bakura heard Rei moving and turned, forgetting Seto for a moment. The priest clutched at his stomach, which was bleeding heavily. He didn't remember getting stabbed, but that seemed to have happened. Not about to risk his life, he turned and fled, leaving Bakura... for now.
Bakura growled slightly as he watched the priest run, fun like the coward he was. In an instant, however, he was kneeling next to Rei. He rolled her onto her side, seeing that she was choking on the blood pooling in her mouth. He looked around, trying to figure out what had caused this. There didn't seem to be any wounds on her body, so was it poison? Maybe the priest had used his millennium item on her... He couldn't tell right now. And he didn't care. He needed to get her help.

The blood that was in her mouth ran out as she was turned on her side. It was thicker than normal blood. The jerking calmed once she was on her side and she had a better chance at breathing.

Bakura kept Rei propped onto her side, and quickly ran out of the room. He didn't know his way around the palace very well, but he did know enough. He reached the pharaoh's room shortly, opening up the door with a bang.
Atem jumped, alarmed from Bakura's sudden entrance, and swore. "Dammit, what do you want?" He asked, partly annoyed and partly concerned. Bakura's hands were bloody. The pharaoh noticed this and got to his feet. "What? What is it?"
Bakura was panicked, but could keep his tone even, although his sentence were a bit jumbled. "Rei. She's... she's been hurt. I don't know. Your priest. Your damned priest. You need to get a healer. Now."

Rei after a moment started having a seisure agian her body jerking around and blood coming from her mouth. The poison caused the victoms organs to shut down causing multible seisues intill the body finaly shut down. Blood had started to seep from rei's ears and nose.

Atem hesitated, but only for a moment. He nodded. "Of course. Nanu, please go with Bakura and see if there's anything you can do. I'll go get the healers." He stated, briskly heading out the door.
Bakura didn't wait to make sure Atem was going to do as he said he would, or for Nanu to respond. He turned and ran back to his room, going to Rei. It looked like it was becoming worse. He wiped the blood from her face off with the bedsheet, trembling.

Nanu followed along quickly. Seeing the rei was jearking nanu got down and struggled to hold rei on her side so she wouldent choke. After a moment rei stoped moving. Nanu pressedher ear to rei's chest. Soo her eyes went while "She...She isent breathing...." nanu said.

Bakura froze, tensing up. He looked at Nanu critically, then down at Rei, as though not believing her. He placed a hand near her lips, feeling for air. Nothing. "No..." Bakura shoved Nanu aside, placing a hand on Rei's chest, trying to feel a heartbeat. "No! You're lying!"

Nanu let out an umph as she was shoved to the side. It took a moment but ther was a faint heartbeat but it was getting slower as every second went by.

Bakura didn't know what to do. They didn't have CPR then, and if he had learned it from the modern day, he certainly didn't recall it then. He didn't want to just sit by and watch his wife die. His eyes flickered towards the door, wondering what the hell was taking the pharaoh so damned long. Then he looked at Nanu. "What... what can we do?" He asked, his voice trembling.

Nanu looked to hiom saddly "Im sorry...there isent much we can do...just pray to the gods that she will survive" nanu told him. "She is in the hands of the gods now..."

Bakura's eyes flashed angrily. Prayers didn't bring back his village. Rei was as good as dead. Prayers didn't help anyone but the foolish. If Rei did survive, he would hold a higher regard for the gods, but for now, he doubted their existance. He wasn't about to voice that in the palace, seeing as many regarded the pharaoh as a reborn god himself. He sighed and closed his eyes, turning away.
Atem came back, followed by four healers. The healers didn't see why this was important and rubbed their eyes, yawning and stretching from their rude awakening. Atem seemed rather emotionless; not upset about Rei, but not looking thrilled, either. Just... bored.

Rei's body had started to cool. She was barly alive and would need the antidote soon. nanu got up and stood beside atem.

The healers shuffled forward, examining her. "Well, pharaoh, it is clear that this woman was poisoned... without knowing what it was, we don't know which antidote to give. We could start guessing at random and hope for the best, but perhaps it would be best to stand aside and let the gods handle this."
Bakura snarled and grabbed the one who spoke by the collar of his robe, slamming him against the wall. "If you dare do that, I'll--" He hissed, but was cut off by the pharaoh.
"Bakura! Stop threatening my servents!" Atem snapped, crossing his arms over his chest. "Go ahead and start distributing as many antidotes as you can. Surely it can't hurt to try." The healers bowed low and mumbled about how they didn't have the potions with them, but would be glad to go fetch it. Atem waved them ff and they scampered out of the room.
"God DAMN it!" Bakura yelled, punching the wall rather foolishly. "Can't you make them hurry up? I don't want to stand around as fat old men whine about having to do things. Don't you have anybody faster?"

[Seto got stabbed, remember? He's off getting wrapped up.]
Atem looked at Nanu, looking thankful. "Could you? I'm sure Bakura would appreciate it, and will be sure to thank you later." He gave Bakura a sharp glance. He didn't understand, he couldn't understand, the mix of emotions the thief was feeling.
