Althena gave a frightened squeal as a large green dragonfly made a nest out of Keegan's red hair, and Keegan just sighed. "Hello Bahamut," he said, wincing as she tugged on it slightly. "Relax, Althena, she isn't going to eat you. I hope." Deciding not to chance it, he pulled the young Psyduck into her Pokeball, and almost reached up to give Bahamut a pat, but quickly changed his mind as his swollen, bitten finger throbbed angrily. Helios gave an indignant snort to the green haired girl, who backed up slightly and disappeared back into the gym. He turned in time to see Dante leaned up against the wall, putting out a cigarette butt. The sight kicked up long-forgotten cravings, and the young man averted his gaze. "You were great back there," he told Bahamut. "You too, Apollo," he nodded at the silver fire pony, carrying around a dozing Meowth.

Both Aska and Miharu had been unprepared for such a powerful attack, the tiny Pidgey took it on the chin, fluttering about in a dazed manner. "Aska, are you all right?" Miharu cried, hardly noticing the Beedrill as it was recalled. Aska nodded, although looked like she was suffering more than she cared to let on. "If you can, help Akira out, then."
The Pidgey gave a bit of a chirp, and swooped down onto the steel type, using her sharp claws to rip off a large piece of the silk that bound the Mawile. However, as she came back, attempting a second try at releasing her battle partner, the small bird faltered, and plummeted to the ground.
"You did well for a first battle," Miharu nodded, and recalled the tiny Pidgey. She glanced over at Rin. "It's up to you now. I just hope Aska helped her enough..."

Dante was now a little worried. "Mitsu, you really dont sound to good." He paused for a moment. "Any way I called to talk to you since we haven't done that in a while. Anything good happen since I spoke you last?"
For once Bahamut was content to just stay on Keegan's head not bitting or scratching or anything. Hearing the other voice Apollo turned his large doe eyes on Keegan and stared at him for a moment. After a moment of consideration he trotted over to him, he hadn't spent a lot of time around his masters new friend.

Keegan watched Apollo carefully, studying his mannerisms. It seemed the pony was curious, and Keegan was equally so. Slowly he held out his uninjured hand for Apollo to sniff, wishing he had some sort of treat for the Ponyta. Helios watched mildly, a mixture of curiosity and jealousness. However, the fox did feel a sort of kinship, for as oddly coloured as he was, Apollo was still a fire type. "That's a good boy," Keegan said gently. "It's nice to finally meet you."

"Heh. Spinarak, brace yourself and jump into the needles!" Spinarak nodded and jumped into the attack, taking it head on. Being a poison type herself, Spinarak took nearly no damage at all. "Now Spinarak, Constrict!" Poin blank after taking the barbs, Spinarak shot a spiraling string of silk.

Seeing the other trainer stick out his hand Apollo watched it cautiously before taking another step forward. Carefully sticking out his neck he lowered his head so that he could sniff the offered hand. After a moment of sniffing Apollo decided that he was safe and turned his attention to the small fox sitting on his shoulder. Moving forward again he made to sniff Helios curious about the other fire pokemon as well. It wasn't often the pony saw others with a connection to fire like himself.

Now that the scent had died down slightly she was able to grasp her senses again. "I'm fine, Ivy just over did the Sweet Scent," she explained. Mitsu paused trying to remember anything of importance. "I got my Balance badge if I didn't already tell you that," She couldn't really recall if she had or not, "and I took a teleportation trip half way across the world to Kanto to check out the damage in Saffron. Other than that I've just been training my party. How about you?"
Glad to see that Mitsu had come around the Fire Pokemon decided to return to the task at hand: relaxing. He folded his paws on the ground and rested his head onto it before closing his eyes. Ivy on the other hand, whom was still energetic, decided to go play in the grass. Mitsu smiled seeing the two Pokemon enjoying themselves.

Luckily Aska ripped off the part that had bounded Akira's large mouth. That did the rest of the work. The Steel Pokemon stood up slightly wobbly. "Akira you can do it! Faint Attack!" Rin shouted. The Mawile rushed forwards then disappeared into thin air. She materialized behind Arri and bashed it with the mouth on the side of her head. The Ariados skidded a few feet back before turning to face Akira. "Return!" Kevin commanded as Rin shouted, "Bite!" The two Pokemon charged and came clashing. Both Arri and Akira stood unwavering on the opposite sides from each other, back to back. And suddenly Arri collapsed. "Yes! We did it!" Rin cheered recalling Akira for some rest before she too collapsed. "Great job Miharu! You and Aska were awesome!"

"Ah well if thats what happened. I dont think you did tell me about getting your Balance badge. Congradulations. I just finished up my battle with Erika and earned my Rainbow Badge." He said with a smirk on his face. "Wait, damage in Saffron? What happened?" Dante usually didn't try to keep up with news and was generally several years behind on things like that."

"Thanks and congrats on the Rainbow Badge. Did ya get caught?" Mitsu asked trying to stifle a slight giggle remembering the picture that Meowth had sent her. Mitsu took a deep breath before answering his question. "I don't really know what was going on, it all had already died down by the time I arrived. To my knowledge there was some human slayer who was trying to kill people. He was using Pokemon to do his dirty work. I heard that quite a few people died and some buildings were destroyed. I don't remember the guy's name though. Sounds pretty creepy if you ask me." I really should have gotten Kasiya to tell me everything. For all I know he could be around here somewhere. A chill found it's way down Mitsu's spine as she tried to shake off the thought.

Ky somewhat predicted the Constrict attack. "Sting, Harden before he gets a good hold!" he called as the silk made its way around Sting. As the string tightened, Sting grunted from the pain. The pressure was then relieved when his shell hardened, its added thickness weakening the strands until they fell loose to the ground. Ky gritted his teeth. He could only rely on Sting's toughness as of now.

"No, not really... Its kinda hard to explain. Why did I not look good in a skirt?" Dante replied in a fake hurt tone. Upon hearing that a bored expression appeared on Dantes face. "It's called a murderer not a human slayer sis. Any time you kill some one its called murder. That happens all the time believe it or not." He paused. "Anyway lets talk about more pleasent things, anything else good happen lately?"

Well, he didn't bite me, Keegan thought optimistically. Noting Dante's change of clothes, Keegan felt a longing to reclaim his actual identity as well, and after some struggle, managed to pry Bahamut from his hair. "I'll be right back," the told the Vibrava nicely. "Then you can resume your position of 'official hat'." Helios, who didn't seem to keen on following, hopped down, choosing to sit in a soft patch of grass and let the sun's rays warm him. Keegan gave a sort of wave to Dante, although he was on the phone and the redhead wasn't sure he'd been noticed. Shrugging, Keegan found his way to a restroom, where he dug through his backpack for a clean change of clothes he'd picked up during his last visit home. He now wore a pair of almost-tight fitting, red slacks, a rather nice white shirt, and a long black overcoat that reached down past his knees. He ran a comb through his hair, even though he was sure Bahamut would just mess it up again anyways. Stuffing everything back in his bag, and glad to be feeling masculine again, he stepped back outside, making his way back over to Dante.
((At this time I would like to direct everyone's attention to Keegan's new spirte, found in his profile. Thank you very much.))

"We won?" Miharu blinked, staring at Aska's Poke Ball in awe. "Really?" It took several moments for it to sink in, and soon Miharu was grinning broadly. "Thanks, Rin! You and Akira were great too." She smiled at the red and white sphere in her hand, very glad that she'd decided to capture the Pidgey. "Now, do you think we should head back to the Pokemon Center to get them healed? By the sounds of it, Bugsy's already busy battling someone." Sure enough, Bugsy's voice, and that of another trainer rang through the air.

Mitsu rolled her eyes. "You looked pretty, but of course I look better. And I'm guessing its part of his 'title.' Something something the Human Slayer or something stupid like that." Mitsu gave a slight frown. He talked about death so casually. She decided to let it slide and go with his idea of a more pleasant chat. "Nothing really. Kinda bored and lost in Kanto." Then she remembered the mysterious phone call and the odd event with Zyphyr. "Oh! I also this freaky phone call. It was all static and really cryptic. The latest one says something about the Viridian Forest. I think I'm going to go check it out soon."
