Thanks so much, Katia said happily as she took a bite of the large, soft baked cookie. She chew slowly before taking a long drink of her smoothie. She tapped her foot against his under the table affectionately.

He blushed, looking down. Constantine's hand was still on his smoothie as he pulled it towards him, nearly missing the straw before taking a drink. For some reason, the boy found himself to be very nervous around her.

Would you like one of my cookies? Katia asked, smiling. She hadn't realized the cookies were so large. She took another drink of her smoothie, practically sighing as she swallowed.

Those are your cookies, he said in a low tone, taking another drink of his own smoothie. So you eat them. Constantine looked to her and smiled brightly with a nod.

Constantine eyed the cookie. He was rather hungry for something sweet, and he would feel rude for declining. Okay, he finally said, gently taking it from her and taking a small bite. Thank you.

Constantine grew silent, nibbling on the cookie, glancing to Katia every now and then. The boy began to fidget somewhat from the silence, hoping that the girl would say something.

Irresponsible, he mumbled without thinking how to properly answer the question. Constantine blushed slightly and shook his head. I mean... I'm not really sure. I don't know them very well. Neither of them seem to have wanted children. The boy stopped himself before he divulged the fact that Acacia referred to him as a "mama's boy".

Ahh, I see, Katia said, nodding slowly. That's too bad. You're quite a nice young man, there's no reason to not want you. I could understand young parents not wanting kids who ended up unruly and pugnacious, but, you don't seem the type. Maybe they'll come around, she said smiling.
Do you care to explain? Jadyn asked as he looked to Lena. You seem to have endured some rough times. If it's too personal to talk about, I understand, we have only just met, he said with a small blush.

I don't know where either of them are. My dad... Constantine trailed off and sighed, looking down. I don't think he loves my mom or wants to know any of us. The boy shrugged a shoulder, taking a drink of his smoothie. It doesn't matter. I don't care I guess.

Oh, that's too bad. When I was a child my father left home, Katia said with a nod, taking a drink of her smoothie. And I turned out just fine, she said with a smile.

You still had your mom, didn't you? he asked, watching her. Constantine held his smoothie to his mouth, his lips trying to find the straw as he looked to Katia.
Acacia wandered into the coffeehouse, and upon noticing her brother at a table with what looked like an older woman, scoffed silently. She rolled her eyes and made her way to the counter, looking over the menu posted above, attempting to decide what she wanted.
