Mizuki smiled cheerfully at him, also relieved to have already met someone she knew. Places like this were a little intimidating at first, knowing she was surrounded by people with unknown abilities that'd sometimes lash out at any second and for no reason at all. Now she had someone to help her feel a bit better. Though, he ruined that feeling pretty quickly.
"Wh-what? No, that wasn't me." Except, she felt heat rising to her cheeks, an embarrassed flush giving away the truth. Also, she couldn't help lifting a hand and rubbing at her forehead, which had a red mark from where she'd smacked herself with metal. "Uh, anyway..." She blinked, and glanced back toward her bags, ushering one back in line between the others as they hovered an inch above the ground behind her, like a little following of baby ducklings. Except, more square. "Let's go.. find the dorm?"

"Just checking..." Vice said to Blakley before leaving. "There was something very... odd about that one. Keep your distance, but make sure you keep an eye on her." Leviathan advised Vice, to whom he silently nodded. "Speaking of those to watch, I wonder where that young elf woman I was talking to went. She seemed interesting, and not many people can even comprehend the tablet, much less read it..." He paused for a moment. "THE TABLET!" he thought rather quickly. "She still has it! I've got to find her, quick!" frantic, he looked around until he spotted her talking with another girl. Breathing a sigh of relief, he walked over to her and stood silently.

" Really? Well I've been wrong before. Like I was wrong about your secret chocolate stash being part of training." Even Dredd knew he was pushing it there, probably. " Yeah that sounds good, someone lost my luggage somewhere at the airport. How do they manage to do that anyway?" He did have his wallet and a backpack though, so at least he could get some new swag soon. Like maybe a lava lamp or one of those singing fish. Clothes too, eventually.Dredd took a map and was on his was to his new residence. He's email the airport later for if they found his stuff, all his important gear would "show up" later anyway.

((I PMed my char. profile to whoever's in charge. Am I supposed to post it somewhere else?)) Sun took a deep breath and walked over to Blakely casually, determined to make a friend. "Hey Blakely," she smiled, "So, uh, what classes are you signed up for?" She also smiled at the guy who was standing next to her, unsure of whether or not she should introduce herself to him. [Spazz edit; Did you read the rules or the newcomer thread? Particularly that last one. You're not supposed to PM it to anyone, so go read to find out like you were supposed to. Also, this post is too short. They need to be at least 2.5 lines, or roughly 303 characters.]

The journey was rough, but almost over. Before Aremis could come to this dimension, he had to travel to the only portal in his world, guarded by extremely powerful demons. Lakcing the means to slay such foes, he had to wait for an opportunity for many weeks before finally rushing the portal. And the portal didn't quite take him where he wanted, either. He ended up miles from the school. As he arrived near by, he couldn't help but realize his luck, or lack of it. There was a line outside the gates and people were doing paperwork. s**t, really? The last thing he wanted to do was stand and wait in a line just to stand and do more paper work. He needed to rest for awhile. Running more than a marathon had this effect on most humans.
Before getting within audible range of the various students around the gates, he hecked his clothes. I'm going to need to wash these as soon as I get in. I wouldn't be surprised if they barred the gates for my poor hygiene. Atleast I didn't smell bad. It was clear that beings of every race and back ground were showing up to register, and if it was anything like that which he had heard of, not everyone got along. "I had best keep to myself, wouldn't want those things around me," he uttered under his breathe with prejudice. He could sense demons nearby, a disturbing fact for someone with his background. Just live with it, just live with it he thought, hoping their were no mind readers. he hadn't ever been able to shield his mind from readers no matter the practice. And priests were suppose to dominate the mind, not be controlled. He realized he needed training more than ever if he was to kill Argathos, the demon lord of his world.
Aremis walked over to a tree, trying to be as unoticable in his torn clothing as possible. He turned his back to the tree and felt behind him for the trunk. He braced himself as he slid down to a sitting position. He let his legs extend out infront of him before putting both hands behind his head. As he shut his eyes, his mind began to wander. What a journey he thought, knowing very well that it was just the beginning. All he could focus on now was listening to the hum of the wind, the warmth of the air, and the dreams that awaited him in his slumber.

The new presence nearly made her whip out dirk and cutlass from God knows where and attack the first sign of threat... but it was only some raggedy-looking teenager. She sat back down from her half-standing position, the tension in her knees visibly shedding away. Was he a student too? Or was he simply wandering and came here by coincidence?
Titania said that there was no such thing as coincidence. It was either not meant to happen or it was supposed to happen. You can't change fate but you can nudge it in a better direction. A soft growl brought sunset-pink tints over her jasmine-pale cheeks. Her eyes darted left and right as she placed a hand over her stomach. Where was Asheworth and where was that Reese's Pieces Double Chocolate Giant Chunky Concrete (with extra whipped cream)?
She tapped her heels gently against the ground, raising dust in tiny little clouds. She thought back to when her rose sprites would cough and sputter whenever she got mad and kicked the dust. The shadow of the oak marked high noon... that meant it was around tea-time in the Court of Roses. Her Majesty, Titania, was probably being served dainty, lemongrass flavored biscuits with mint buttercream right now... along with her favorite rosehip clementine tea. Nia's favorite had always been Jasmine and her favorite tea-time snack being chocolate-covered madelines... simple tastes for a simple girl.
Or so they liked to say.
That simple exterior was what made her so easy to jump and exactly what shouldn't have. So many odd things went on in her head, everything from military strategy to political warfare, but nothing came up now when this strange, tattered and torn boy just plopped down beside her. The first thing she probably thought of was: 'That's not too bad. He's still walking.' She'd seen missing limbs and gotten scolded for tarnishing the pride of some great hero or another. 'Only a fleshwound!' they would proclaim. She tried not to say 'I told you so' when they died two days later.
The second thing was: 'Maybe I should check him to see if he's really actually okay...'
Slowly, she turned herself around, her silky, white-blonde hair slipping off her shoulders in large, gentle waves that looked like threads of moonlight. She wasn't as pretty as Titania but she had her own sort of beauty. It came from her constantly serious expression and her unwillingness to show her girly side. Perhaps her self-contradiction was her greatest charm.
Her face was directly over his now, looking down on him. From the distance it might look like a kiss about to happen between two lovers. A perfect set-up for a romantic cliche! On this lovely, sunny day, a couple decided to go outside to have a picnic while people-watching the new entrants to this school for the spring semester. Unfortunately, they didn't bring any food. The male partner got tired and fell asleep, and now mouth-rape was about to occur.
"Oy... you alive?"
And she shattered that fleeting fantasy for any onlookers with her cold, boyish voice.
"You smell kinda bad..."

"P-pardon me." Fayt didn't know what he was doing. He'd already gotten lost within the few feet he had been walking. The tree was the only thing which had stood out for him; and he already saw two people there. Well, he thought there were two. The one on the left looked like he was dead. That couldn't be good.
Dead people couldn't hurt you, could they? Well, they could if they were zombies or vampires. The sun was out, so hopefully he wasn't a vampire. Though he did kind of smell like death.
He shook his head slowly. The girl looked normal. Well, more or less. She seemed inhuman, but so did many things around here. When the girl glanced in his direction, he quickly fished out a chocolate bar and offered it to both of them. "M-my name is Fayt. Would you like chocolate?" Yes, because chocolate solved everything.

He could see everything that was happening. My home, my village, everything. It was all being burnt to the ground, consumed by purple and black flames that scorched the soul to see. But I wasn't there, I could only see that which had happened. Aremis felt the heat in his mind as the buildings burned. A worm demon withered from its impalement, as another demon began to eat its flesh. A humanoid demon with cruely curved horns spread its wings as he pounced on a fleeing woman and speared the back of her skull. The demon stood up from his lunge, and violently retracted his spear, snapping her neck and tore her head clean off as he held out his spear. He glanced at Aremis' location and his face only came closer into view as the perspective seem to draw in on his face, the head impaled on the spear went out of focus as all he could see was the eyes of this murderer, black and abandoned of all emotion except hatred. The demon let a smile slowly extend across his face and... A voice. Asking him if he was alive.
He blinked twice. As his vision came to, he saw someone staring him in the eyes, inches from his face. A girl? He recoiled and smacked his head against the bark of the tree. A very solid hit. "Ow!" he exclaimed in pain, and muttered under his breath, "That's never good way to start off your day..." As he realized who was infront of him, he had his left eye closed, squinting from the sudden pain and his right hand was sifting through his dark hair checking for a bump. Clearly there would be reprocussions for his carelessness in the form of a knot on his head in the next ten or so minutes. Aremis was still uncomfortably close to this person--he thought it was a person. "Who are... uh... you?" He wanted to let his eyes wander to observe her features but was transfixed on those eyes of hers. They were a deep violet, like a gem stone, but much sharper in acuity than any human he had ever met. Who was this girl?
Now there was a man who had just walked over and offered them chocolate, although Aremis couldn't tell if it was for him or this other girl. This place was insane.

She sat up and coughed slightly, looking a little annoyed... or bored. It was hard to tell. Despite the fact her emotions showed on her face, they weren't all that interesting to begin with. She wasn't capable of deceiving people but she didn't need to either. Those pale, violet-silver eyes spilled her guts to the world at a single glance.
"Oh good. I don't have to eat you."
Somehow she sounded a little disappointed. Her stomach growled again.
Perhaps she was serious about eating him? Just a guess, maybe.
"Hello, Fayt." Wasn't that just too blunt? Though she noticed him, it wasn't as if they met under odd circumstances like Mister. Bad Smell. He just introduced himself. It was only polite that she did the same.
Watching her stand up was like watching a lovely swan rise from the water-- No, that's not right. More like watching an albatross briefly trying to escape the clutches of kelp tangled around its leg. She got up just fine. It just looked a bit funny along the way.
However, when she dropped into the distaff bow, the bow of ancient female knights, her grace showed. Clearly it was a move that she had done for a long time and so had apt practice. The right hand reached down, the web between thumb and pointer finger pointed at her toes, palm barely brushing at her knees. It swept an arch upwards as her spine bent and her other hand slipped behind her back, the back of it aligning with her vertebrate at the small of her back. By the time her right hand was before her left kidney, her left leg had slipped behind her right in curtsy fashion and she was half a foot shorter. The inclination of her back was no so great that she could not see. In fact, it was quite slight. She was an envoy of her queen and should not seem lowly.
"My name is Gynefieve." Icy, formal words for such a clearly unsocial person -- obviously another habit trained into her, just like her bow. She straightened. That whole time, she was looking at the chocolate, not at Fayt. It was like she introduced herself to the chocolate bar instead.
After a long, long time, she tore her eyes away as if a woman turning away from forbidden love. Her expression was so reminiscent of a scene from some trashy romance novel.
'No, Gregory... I can't! I am the heiress of the Hise family and you are my bodyguard. I love you so much... I loved you from the moment I saw you! ... but... I... I can't do it, Gregory! I can't take
"... it." Her voice was as emotionless as before but the most pitiful expression gave away her childishness. It was like watching a whining puppy. "Titania says I shouldn't take candy from strangers." Now if only they knew she was a military officer...

Fayt was mesmerized by her. That was saying a lot considering she could probably strangle him with her hair. For that reason he took a slight step back. Even so, he was still at a loss for words and his mind was rather hazy. Her eyes were so deep. They were like a limitless pool, offering reflections of ones soul....
Fayt immediately blinked after that thought. Wow, that rather deep. He would have to write that down later.
"Well.... You know my name and I know yours. Therefore we aren't strangers," he told her, giving her the briefest of smiles before pushing his long hair behind his ear. She seemed interesting and complicated.... Speaking of complicated....
"Wait...Titania? As in Queen Titania?" Surely she was joking. Though she didn't look like the type to joke. Perhaps she meant another Titania. There had to be at least someone else out there who was called Titania. Someone else who would know someone of such ethereal beauty as the girl before him.

Not exactly the answer he was looking for. She just straight up ignored him. As she struggled to stand up, he was still pondering what had been said to him. She was going to eat me? Wait, she wasn't going to eat me. Yeah, I feel much better now. What the hell kind of school was this? He watched as she walked away and perfomed some kind of ritualistic or customary greeting. He truly could care less at this point. She was obviously some demon or a pyscho, or both, with no sense of personal space. Was she trying to give me a heart attack? But who was that guy who offered chocolate? After days of eating nothing, there wasn't anything else that could make his taste buds water like the thought of a creamy milk chocolate bar melting over his taste buds. He had to jump on this offer, even if it wasn't for him.
Aremis glanced around his body and decided it was safe to get up. The important thing was that she wasn't hovering over him anymore. HE pulled both his knees to his chest and swung his arms forward, using the momentum to lean fowards and stand up. A great plan in theory, but in practice, he failed to compensate for his sore muscles. He had spend days jumping over various branchs and trees and his launching foot, or his left leg, had become bruised, swollen and very sore. As he began to extend his legs to reach a standing position, the left leg came up slower that the right, causing him to loose his balance. When he tried to recover with the right foot by placing it infront to counter balance the shift in fowards momentum, it snagged on the tree's root, doubling the effect of his forward fall. He face planted in the grass by the tree with a loud thud. The grass didn't break his fall at all. Was it even worth getting up at this point?

"Erm..." She blushed again, her cheeks seemingly glowing when she did. All of a sudden, it looked like she was surrounded by a halo of light. Accepting a present from a male so suddenly wasn't proper for a girl of her status... but she seriously wanted that candy! Asheworth was sure taking his sweet time with that ice cream too. What was she supposed to do? Just stand there and look like she wasn't interested anymore?
What's more, the guy to her side just did a face-plant. she knew that couldn't be good. After years of spending time in the army, she knew what an injury looked like... even if only after the injury was irritated. Immediately squatting at his side, she wordlessly placed her cool fingertips against his left calf, WITHOUT PERMISSION, and made her inspection, field-medic style.
Just a few bruises and sores. Gosh, to lose his balance over something like this... She poked the muscles as gently as was possible -- and with her being a rough, clumsy creature, there wasn't much difference between gentle and rough. If I had some cold cream then--
"Milady--"
"Gah!" She nearly jumped a foot -- 11 inches; close but not quite -- "A-A-A-A-Ashew-- What-- you-- huh?"
Her tall, lovely guardian smiled as he stood like a lamppost behind her. His sun-colored hair glittered of warmth. A 32 oz cup of ice cream concrete sat in his hand. He looked like a butler without the uniform... and in a way, he was. His smile never seemed to fail. However, his pale green eyes were as light as Nia's and were quite expressive. Through his courteous, feminine features; through his radiant, dashing smile... he was glaring at both men and guarding his charge like some vicious griffin.
"Your glamour is falling off. Do care to fix it." The ice cream concrete passed between hands. Nia received it, wide-eyed still. "It wouldn't do to attract attention to yourself."
It was indeed falling off, resulting in her looking prettier than humanly possible. Was that what Fayt was staring at earlier? Particles of light that hung around her instantly seemed to suck into her face and become overshadowed by reality. Her appearance no longer glowed though she did keep her hair and her eyes. Fayt would no longer be able to call her eyes 'deep' though. They were expressive but they weren't stunningly beautiful or piercing in nature. Unusual coloring... but eyes were eyes.
"Making new friends already? Her Majesty would be pleased." He proceeded to act like a fussy mother and dust off her jeans from where she sat on the ground. Even if she wanted to protest, she didn't want to drop the giant treat in her hands. She honestly looked like a little grade-schooler. The Black Dwarven Geurilla Forces would choke of laughter if they could see the Sergeant of 'The Boys', the 'Queen's Dog' herself, so content over a large cup of sweets.
"Asheworth Fenier, Sirs." His was a simple bow. A butler's to suit his mannerisms. How odd was this? A butler in a hoody and jeans and sneakers. Hah. The world was coming to an end too soon... "You don't look so well. Why don't I take care of that for you? Nia, can I trust you to be a good girl?"
"Mm-hmm..." Oblivious in her world of chocolate, peanut butter and whipped cream she nodded in a blissful daze.
"Since the other one doesn't look too strong, you could eat him if you really wanted to."
"Mm-hmm..."
"Good. Then I won't have to worry. Go to the dormitory by yourself, alright?"
"Mm-hmuh?!" She startled at the idea of having to walk in there all by herself. Well... not by herself. Asheworth just decided for Fayt, without his permission, to go with her. It wasn't to be questioned either from the glare of his eyes. Nia didn't seem to see that he was glaring. She could only see a princely big-brother figure telling her to brave the social world all by herself.
Fayt was just chopped liver.
"Hold still now. This might hurt a bit if you struggle." Healing wasn't meant to sound like a threat. Asheworth bent over the tatter-ragged boy with the bruised leg with hands faintly glowing the jade-green of his personal sorcery. Nia knew there was no talking to him now.
"You're so mean..." She was going to venture off now... and probably get killed -- or worse -- asked questions.
The army was right... Don't ask, don't tell...
And so she turned to walk towards the courtyard beyond the gates, eating ice cream and not even looking back to see if Fayt was coming. Hell knows Ashe wasn't coming.

There was a big scary man standing there. That was Fayt's first thought when he saw this Asheworth fellow standing there smiling and holding a large ice cream. That thought was dutifully rectified when the man glared at him. Fayt quite literally felt his heart stop. It was as if some icy spectral hand took hold of him and was just gouging at his soul.
Come to think of it. He sort of felt the same way he did when he was forced to watch Twilight.
Shaking the thought from his mind, he glanced around, trying to figure out some sort of escape route. What was it with scary people finding him? There was a pause as he thought about what the guy had just said.
She could eat him!?
That small petite little girl. A girl which glows and eats people. Wonderful. He was screwed.
As soon as she started off, Fayt felt compelled to follow her. Both due to the fact that he had all but been threatened to do so and to escape the scary man.

This place would be my end. I hadn't even made it into the school and already I had been threatened to be eaten and done more self-inflicted bodily harm by clumsiness alone than any injury obtained in recent battles. He figured it would probably be safer within the gates, but then quickly realized that within those walls were more creatures with endless ammounts of uncontrollable powers that could easily kill a human. Yes, laying here and pretending to be dead would be the best idea, I could--is some one poking me? He felt something prodding his left calf with extreme harshness. He was going to bruise from the sheer power of each poke.
Another voice was hear, accompanied with the smell of icecream. After spending so much time away from civilization, his senses were very atune to everything in his surrounding. The ability to smell food, although triggered by his temporary temporary state, was a necessary survival adaptation to save himself from eating strange mushrooms he found in the wilderness. Herbs were always a last resort. He was a terrible botanist and remember the last time he ate something that looked edible. He awoke several hours later in a daze, miles from where he had consumed the plant in question. And he remembered lacking most articles of clothing.
He turned his head to see who it was that had arrived, still sprawled out across the ground. He noticed a tall man with very defined features and had serious written all over his face. He looked fairly emotionless as he approached. He brought that girl icecream. Why her? I was the one dying over here, well, not really, but damn! I still wanted food... The girl and the new guy continued to talk for awhile. He talked to her as if she was his duty, like a kid getting ready to go to school for the first time. He could not trust her to be a good girl. That was a bold mistake. She just nodded a bunch and barely acknowledged his existence has he gave her instructions. She was so far gone, indulging in her icecream that he said he sold her to a slave trader and she would have been just fine, as long as the traders let her finish before shipping her off.
The larger man approached Aremis and asked him to hold still. This sounded very much like a threat to his personal well-being. He stared at the figure that was over him now, observing how his hands beagn to glow, a feint green at first, then a full blown jade-green. Oh no, I was going to be eaten. As soon as he realized he was to meet his fate, literally at the hands of some other wordly cannabal, well it wasn't really cannabalism since he probably wasn't a human, he began to squirm. "Who are you and what do you want?" Aremis flipped onto his back and felt a burning pain in his leg. "Owww. Are you cooking me before you eat me? Or are those hands going to be used to chop up my body? Please don't eat me!" Aremis was sitting up, his arms extended so he could lean his weight on his palms. He stared up at his devourer and pleeded with his best puppy dog face, being far from cute given his torn up condition. It was actually kind of pathetic, but maybe in his crazy mindset he believed he could look unattractive and pathetic enough to the point where he wouldn't seem appetizing, just sad. He let his left leg go limp, in fear of what might happened if he flexed any muscle in it.
