Natsumi smiled. "That's good." Then, as she looked at Travis, she couldn't help but think how hot he looked right now. She blushed slightly at what she was thinking and then asked, "Um... S-So why did you suddenly jumped out the window earlier? You should've told one of us you were thirsty... Or something..."

Vincent would have smirked, if he'd cared about either of them. "You still wish to fight?" He asked, not really interested, as he turned to walk to the nearest window. It put Vincent in between Jun and Kate, though Vincent had no intention of fighting in his condition. If you think about it, it would seem as if he hadn't been willing to fight all along, in said condition of being loaded with shrapnel. He had not fought back with Jun at all... just... used another one of his numerous, mysterious abilities.
To be completely honest, Vincent was somewhat surprised (although not disconcerted in the slightest) that Jun had not been affected by the blood scent. The smell was intoxicating and paralyzing, having a similar effect that a snake's gaze would hold on a small rodent-prey. Oh, and it raised the dead, as well.
Vincent chuckled. He couldn't help but tease the cat-like creature, especially now. "You seem so... macho, at the moment, hated protector of my mistake. But you'll soon come to realize that she isn't worth your trouble. She's... no, what am I saying?" Vincent stopped himself. Then he stretched his arms out wide, embracing the warmth of the morning sun through said window.
"I'd rather let you experience all the horrible glory of it yourself. I must--feed. Adieu."
And then Vincent was gone.

Kate was huddled against the nearest wall--unharmed, in the slightest (even after being shot repeatedly)--but terribly shaken. She opened her mouth to speak, several times, glancing occasionally at Jun but then being unable to bare the confusion, looking away again, and finally simply stopped trying to talk. She was shivering with fear. All the bodies... no, not fear quite. Hysteria. Shock. Kate's heart was beating faster than was humanly safe, as she stayed stricken by the fear, and by the repulsion of the bodies, just--lying around. Kate began to softly cry into the crook of her arm.

"b*****d..." Jun cursed as he looked at Vincent's escape route before going to tend to Kate, moving on all fours. "Are you okay?" he asked in that same strangely gruff voice of his that sounded like he was going to punch a whole through whatever pissed him off next.
((i think just made Jun a kitty Hulk. XD ))

Kate did not acknowledge Jun. She couldn't. She was hysterical, frightened, and in shock. The best thing Jun could do for her was to get her the hell out of that hospital-turned-morgue.

Jun just seemed to watch Kate for a bit before scooping her up in his arms and jumping out the nearest window, making his way across a few rooftops until the hospital was no longer in sight before stopping and setting her down. "Are you okay?" he asked again, hoping the change of smell and scenery would help her get her voice back.

"Y-y-yeah," Kate replied, after a minute, stammering. Then she took a deep breath and seemed to pull her act together. "I... that was--scary," she replied, stating the obvious. "...I guess we're even, then, huh?"

though the changes were subtle, Jun went back to the easy going catboy before he seemed to lose it on Vincent. "I...guess so..." he said somewhat woozily as he fell onto his side. "Dammit...If i had known he was going to make a run for it...i wouldnt have done that...." he said making no effort to sit back up.

Kate huddled her knees up to her chest, wrapping both arms around them as she sat, rocking, on the roof. Watching Jun as if he were something new and peculiar. "Yeah," she agreed, "he tends to do that. Survival's always number one on the agenda. He has a knack for it... and for everything else," Kate grumbled miserably. "I wonder why he couldn't have just killed me, back at the beginning... save himself the trouble of hunting me down... and me the agony of being what I am."
Kate was in a rare mood of passive tolerance--and, though she would not admit it, elated happiness--in Jun's presence. She felt completely calm and safe, thought that was a very irrational thought with Vincent still out there.
Kate inhaled a deep breath, sighed, and said nothing more for the moment. Her gaze (although not her thoughts) was distracted by a blue-and-pink butterfly flitting energetically high above them, doing whatever it is butterflies do.

Jun let out a tired "Guh..." as he somehow managed to role onto his back. "I hope you're okay with the view up here...because i don't think i'll be moving anytime soon...Pulling the 'feral wild cat' routine wears me out..." he said watching the same butterfly flutter about.

Kate sighed and smiled, then decided to lay down herself. "Anything's better than... back there," she replied, but bit her lip, as if she was lost in thought.

"You know...due to the amount of shrapnel that guy was full of and how he ran off like he did...i probably coulda taken him right then and there..." Jun said finding the strength to turn his head to look at Kate with a reassuring smile to brighten her mood as he lay there.

"Huh," Kate replied, in a 'go-figure' sort of manner. She turned to rest her head on her hand, elbow. "So," she said, trying to grasp at conversation. "What exactly did you do back there? The... hulk-type thing." He seemed gentle and furry enough now, though if Kate had been in her right mind she might actually have been afraid of the kitty-boy.
