Devin was just walking along his fur bristled and ready for attack, but not seeming to care about what had been said.
Alyxis laced her good fingers back around Pyne's, "And then for me, it's going to hurt. Because I'll be going through weeks of pain in one night."

Alyxis let him kiss her hand, and lowered her eyes to try to keep him from noticing her blush. "The few times I've done this... It was life and death. My father was the one who let me use his powers. He couldn't do anything for the pain."

"Well, one thing that can numb pain would be vampire blood. We don't have any to use though." Pyne said as he looked at her.

"Yeah, It's good for medicine. Although, some humans use it as a drug." Pyne added as they walked. "We should stop and set up camp."

Alyxis nodded, "You'd best start with the fire wood. Kaede can you catch a rabit or five for our dinner, you can take Devin with you but I doubt he'll let you bring the meat back. I can clear a pit for the fire."
Devin huffed and turned in a circle. His hair was still on edge, He didn't like that they had stopped.

Pyne nodded and went off to collect some wood. He returned with enough fire wood for a week.

Kaede smirks and nods. "It's alright, I can manage on my own. I will be back in a bit." She then runs off to find some rabbits.

Alyxis nodded to her, and knelt in the leaf covered ground and started to use a stick and one arm to clear it to the cold dirt. When Pyne came back he would have noticed her trying not to use her injured arm.
Devin stood behind her, like a good guard dog.

Pyne set the wood down and saw Alyxis' hand. "Here, let me do it." He said as he offered to take the stick.

Pyne felt bad but didn't want to do anything to make her upset.

Alyxis took longer to clear the space than Pyne would have, but she did clear it and then made a ring of stones for the fire, "Would you set up the fire? I can light the kindling."
