Riane dropped her stuff on the bed and automatically went down to the Cafe. She was starving and looking for attention. All the guys at her old school had done nothing but follow her around. Of course, that's why her parents thought she was a bad influence. She hated her parents so much! She went and got something to eat and sat in a corner by herself. She like attention and she longed for it here but she didn't want the wrong kind of attention. She sat and ate, slowly and silently.

Star was getting hungry and closed her laptop. She went down to the cafe and looked around. She had the usual salad she always ate and saw a girl sitting alone at a table. She walked over.
"Hey, can I sit here?" Star asked, smiling.

"Sure. I'm Riane," she said with a small smile. She looked at the girl and saw why she didn't get the slightest bit of attention from the guys. She was gorgeous compared to Riane. She looked around and felt so upset by how ugly she thought she looked. She went back to her food.

"I'm a bit anxious. She my father, the president, is working and I need his approval of this guy I want to date, who's actually my roomie!" Star said, excitedly. "Hopefully, he approves. He isn't exactly the same class as me, but he's so dreamy!" She squealed. "Have you met anyone yet?" she asked, happily.

"No, I just got here. I was looking for some guys but they've all ignored me. So, you're the president's daughter? Very cool. My parents don't care who I date. I dated the head of a bike gang at my old school. I told them all about it and they just turned to my sister to ask how school was," Riane said. She finally lifted her head to look at Star. She was still gorgeous, more gorgeous than her.

"What? Do I have sauce on my face?" Star laughed. "My dad's conviced that I need to marry a diplomat or something. Karu's way better looking than some PRINCES I've met. I think they're all fake and just want to marry me for power. Anyways, guys have been ignoring you? That's awful rude." Star commented.

"Well, they're guys. Anyway, your dad wants you to marry a PRINCE??? I would rather marry a biker dude. All of the princes I've heard of are stuck up and snobby. And you're right, they do look fake," Riane said, trying as hard as she could to get the subject away from her horrible new love life.

"They are. They stare at me like I'm sleeping beauty or something. But I hate to talk about looks. You need to meet Karu sometime. He's totally gorgeous and he's a great friend! We also need to go meet some other people around the school. Maybe we can find someone for you!" Star said smiling. "But anyways. Wanna go somewhere after lunch? Like the gym, pool, hot tub, sauna...your pick."

"Well, I do love to swim, but the hot tub sounds the best. I'm just under a bit of stress, ya know?" Riane asked. She looked at Star sadly, hoping she understood what she was getting at. (that she was sad and lonely and needed a friend)

"Ooo I love swimming too, but I understand you. Hot tub it is then!" Star smiled. She finished off her salad and threw out the container it was in. "I'll meet you down there okay?" Star said.

"Ok," Riane said. She finished her food and went up to her dorm to get into her bathing suit. She put on her bikini and a pair of jeans overtop. She walked down to the hot tub.

Star headed up to her dorm, finding Karu still there. "Hey, i'm going down to the hot tub with a new girl I met. Your welcome to join us, if you want." she said, grabbing her bikini and changing in the bathroom. She came out, with a skirt on and headed out, towards the hot tub. She got in, and waited for Riane. "Come on, Riane! The waters nice and relaxing." Star said, seeing her come towards her.

"OK," Riane said. She shed her jeans and walked in. Star was right, the water relaxed her tense muscles. She leaned back, her head hitting the edge.
