Chris looked at Riten and his little git of a friend and said, " Would you two stop arguing? Were going to get found out if you two do not stop..."

Chris sighed and said, " Riten, If you could choose your family over your friends which would you choose?"

Air's eyes pierced through the smoke up at the figure above them, standing there so smugly with his arms crossed. "Stupid little Lin Kuei...when will you learn?" Smoke taunted, as he vanished and appeared behind Air, knocking him in the back and stabbing him with a dagger in the shoulder. Air winced, and his arm blade shot from his hand as he turned around, blocking a punch from smoke with his sword as he stabbed into his shoulder. Furious, Smoke kicked Air against the roof and raised his leg, as if to deliver a final kick, yet Sub Zero suddenly shot a blast of ice into him, freezing his leg stiff.

A bit confused, Air jumped to his feet and kicked in Smoke's other leg, causing him to trip and fall to his knees. With a flash of energy, Air preformed his signature move again, this time, connecting with Smoke's chin. "Moonsault Kick!" Air yelled, backflipping and kicking the robot in the head, sending him flying into the wall. Air huffed and held his shoulder, bleeding somewhat as he watched Smoke disappear, and a portal replace his body. "There...we need to go...there..." Air mumbled, before blacking out.

"Okay, how the hell does that work?" asked Chris (Riten), point at the portal where Smoke's body had been. He had ignored Jeniffer's remark. He knew better than to get attatched.

"Lovely choice of words," said Chris sarcasticly. He figure the best way to detach himself from other was to detach them from him and the best way to do that was to be a jerk. Well, he had pleanty of examples of how to be one in his life.

Air's eyes opened, dimmed with dizzyness as he wobbled to his feet and tied a cloth around his shoulder, tying it tight between his teeth to stop the bleeding. He smiled weakly and planted his sword into the ground, then stood up with its help. "It works...because Saibot put a rift modulator inside Smoke. The way he sees it, anyone that can beat Smoke will teleport to the Netherealm. That way, he can defeat them and provide a strong soul for his cybernetic army." Air explained. His knowledge of Noob Saibot's intentions was extensive. "Yeah...I'll be fine." He said with a weak smile, walking towards the rift.

"RITEN!!! IF YOU DON'T SHUT YOUR MOUTH I WILL KILL YOU PERSONALLY!!!!!!!!!" she said tryinnng to bbe calm bbut nnot doinng a very good job of it

Air nodded. "Yeah, this takes us to the Netherealm, where we'll find the spirits. Hopefully Kabal and the underworld resistance will find us before anyone else, or we'll be in bad shape." He said, as the rift opened up. "We should get dropped somewhere near Shao Khan's fortress, so get ready to fight off his guards."
