she had moved over. he was confused. either she didnt like him and kept moving away. or she was playing games with him.
the smirk said come closer but she kept moving away.
what was he to do?
he noticed that the log was at its end. if she moved over any further shed fall off.
this time he smirked and moved over again

smart move togan. very good. i looked up and noticed the moon had gotten rather high in the sky.
"it's getting late. you should probably try and get some sleep" i said. besides. all this scooching was making me a bit uncomfortable.

he couldnt help but laugh when she said it.
"i think ill just sit here for a while" he said.
he wanted to rethink over everything that happened today.
but mainly he wanted to think about Gren. and how shed been so nice to him. maybe he was just being silly. i mean she couldnt possibly like me i mean were not even the same species.

i cocked an eyebrow at him. he seemed lost in thought. "well... alright. but i'm getting somewhat tired myself"
with that said, i gracefully jumped up to the tree i was in before and layed back. up in the tree, i contemplated the events of the day. i'm letting myself get too carried away. i thought as a look of concern crossed my face. maybe meditating really would help. i closed my eyes and tried to focus on sleep.

he made his way toward his tent.
he looked back at Gren.
fantasizing about what it would be like if she surprised him at the door of his tent.
but he dismissed the thoughts quickly. he laid down and tryed to go to sleep. but he coudlnt stop thinking about her.
"damb why cant i stop thinking about her?" he said aloud.

It was late when Nebride made her way quietly out of her tent. She didn't know what it was, but something had awakened her. "There is something--someone out there." Nebride looked around to make sure nobody was watching her.
Quickly Nebride made her way into the woods. "I know what it is now," she whispered to herself. "Show yourself Eleclyo! I know you are here!" Nebride said just loud enough so that he could here her. "Or are you afraid to face me?"
"Not at all sister dear."
Nebride turned around slowly. Eleclyo had cut his hair just short enough to keep his ears covered. His black eyes stared at into hers. Nebride cocked her head to the side. "You are not really here."
"Now what is that supposed to mean Nebride? Of course I'm here."
With a smirk Nebride reached out here hand. It went through Eleclyo's body as if there was nothing there. "Astroprojection. I told you that you were not really here. Where did you find the power to do this one Eleclyo? Did you steal it when you killed him?"
"Ah, you're too smart for your own good Nebride. In any case--I'll see you around. No doubt you'll find me soon enough." Eleclyo disappeared.
Nebride cursed under her breath. "Damn--I should have known." She sat down on the ground slowly. "I'll just sit here for a while. It almost reminds me of home."

i opened one eye. the little conversation between nebride and her brother's projection had woken me up. it was only because i had just fallen asleep though.
"was that him?" i asked nebride solemly.

Nebride looked up from her spot on the ground up at Gren. She lounged easily in the tree. "Yes---that was Eleclyo, or more precisly--an astroprojection of him. He wouldn't dare come this close to me in the flesh. He will keep running in hopes that it will take me a while to find him."
She sighed and placed her face in her hands. "You and Togan---seemed to be getting a little cozy there. What did you guys have to talk about?"

i thought back to what had happened between togan and me. "mostly sayings, and stuff like that. i also told him... about my past" that was the most painful part of the conversation we had.

"The past can be painful." Nebride sighed and looked around."I guess we've both had painful pasts huh? It hurts to think about it, but we must never forget it. Our past and our memories is what keeps us strong. It's what keeps us going to the end."
She pulled out the scroll from her coat. "You know what I think about this scroll? I think it's like a spy. I bet you anything that it can hear what we say. That witch hunter is probably listening to us right now." Nebride chuckled. "That's fine--he can listen. It's not like we're going to give him any clues."
