Elena walks along the path wondering where the sounds are coming from, but feels too tired to move one. She reaches for her water to find that it has disappeared. She swears under breath. Her legs feel tired from a long journey though she wishes to know where the noises are coming from and what they are. She takes another step and falls to ground. And is too tired to get up... she just lays there...

The fight between mother and child was different than other battles. The two circled each other a chill swirling around and slamming into both women’s faces. Yune, who had a look so sadness mixed with something like regret watched her daughter carefully. The woman before her looked nothing like her daughter. The claws and the devilish smile. She just couldn’t see it anymore. Would that make anything any difference? The older woman shook her head and took up stance. Like whip Rikyo moved. She lashed out and took the first attack on her mother. Her lips red as blood and her eyes becoming almost gold. Her demonic wings sank into the flesh of her back and she laughed as her blade swung low at her mother. The blade made contact with only air as Yunari dodged the blow that could have taken her head off. She faced her daughter with an unease. This was most likely a fight she could not win. Yunari launched herself forward her sword clashing against her daughter’s.

The two women looked at each other, Yune’s soft and hopeful and Rikyo’s hard as stone. Rikyo pushed back but her mother pushed as well. The were at a lock down. Rikyo’s sword light up in flame and she laughed a little as she pushed her mother over. Yune fell to the ground her sword falling a few feet behind her. She flipped up and placed her hand on the ground. She sighed softly not wanting to fight but she needed to. Who else would. Nikko was in his own battle and in less someone watched Hokyo and her son… she sighed a little and her mood changed. She could not lose. Yunari’s hand slammed onto the ground and she twisted it to the side . The ground rumbled and shook. Yune lifted her hand and pulled back rocks formed and lifted from the ground. They circled her body, collection a green color fallowing them as she placed her hands together. The rocks Shot out flying at Rikyo.

With the demonic woman dodged the rocks came back at her. Rikyo, seeing that there was no other way to rid herself of the rocks slashed through them her sword hot enough to melt the very core of the rocks. The rocks now out of her way she attacked her mother directly once again. Yune forced herself to form a barrier of flame, protecting her from the sword. Rikyo grinned and removed one hand from her sword. She reached through the flames and grabbed Yunari then sprouted wings and rose from the ground. With her mother height from the ground they began to exchange blows once more. Yune holding onto Rikyo, holding onto her so that Rikyo couldn’t drop her. Eventually the hold weakened and Yunari began to fall. Rikyo laughed at her from her distance up in the sky as her mother fell to the ground.

Yune twisted and faced the ever approaching ground. With a slight cry of terror wings of her own appeared. They shot out of her back composed completely of flame and well parts of her back clothing. Her fall stopped and she looked up at her daughter. With a small growl she launched back into the sky. The two once more exchanged blows, Rikyo cutting her mother there and Yune nicking Rikyo there. Finely the two pulled back enough for Yune to concentrate her energy enough. A ball of flamed began to form in her hands, growing and growing till it grew even larger than Yune herself. Rikyo’s eyes widened as her mother launched this large ball of fire towards her with a defeated cry of “supernova”. Rikyo stared at it and held up her arms as she was pushed to the ground and burnt by the sheer force of this power.

Yunari fallowed. She took hold of her sword and approached her fallen daughter as the flames began to evaporate. She then stood above her child, sword raised and positioned for the killing blow. Yune took a deep breath, closed her eyes and slammed the sword down. She was breathing heavily and opened her eyes. She was know leaning over her daughter looking down at her child. The blade had struck the ground right beside Rikyo’s head, cutting some of her hair “My Rikyo” she whispered “please don’t do this” she smiled sadly “please stop and come back to us…” she placed her hand on Rikyo’s face “please… We lo-” Her voice was cut off as Rikyo’s blade plunged into Yunari’s gut. While pleading with her daughter, Yune had forgotten that Rikyo still held her sword.

Rikyo twisted the blade and then pushed her mother’s body off of her. She stood and looked down at the woman she once called mother. With a satisfied smirk she placed her foot on Yunari’s chest and yanked out her sword “you don’t’ have the ability to love me” she stated. She lifted the sword and licked the blood off and then released a laugh none like any before. Bones scratching against rock was the only way to describe the sheer terror someone weaker than her would feel upon hearing this. The clouds began to shift, positioning themselves above her and crackling with the crimson lightning from before.

Blood oozed from Yunari’s’ mouth as she tried to sit up. The pain was so great “Rik-” she choked on her daughters name.

Rikyo turned and smirked The clouds tightened and she pointed the black blade at her mother “burn in hell” she commanded the lightning shooting down and completely enveloping Yunari. A bring flash shone around where the crimson lightning hit Yune and when the flash vanished so did all traces of Yunari’s aura… as well as her body, she had been completely obliterated by the lightning. The only signs of Yune’s body were the outline of her body, and a few petals from the flowers she wore in her hair.

The two men avoiding the fierce fight between Yune and Rikyo, kept swinging their blades, each blow meant to kill, but neither willing to dare draw away. As they clung together again a soft melody seemed to play from their swords. Each one giving their own ability in the dance they had created to kill the other. Each blow more forceful then the last. Nikko's face drooling with blood as he fought, while Diaco remained unharmed. They drew away from the other and both looked at each other, even Diaco showed signs of a warn man, that couldn't tell who would win.

Nikko smirked as some of the blood came down to his chin and tripped off.
"I wouldn't expect anything less from the man that once was called god of the earth, but you haven't changed at all." He spoke with a note of playfulness even though he looked far more warn then Diaco.
Standing he flung his sword to his right and it seemed to have vanished and he lunged forward, his movement quickened by at least two times that of what he was before and his fist slammed against Diaco's chin knocking him into the air.

As they began to fight through, cuts on Nikko from his inability to block Diaco's blade anymore, and Diaco's face was began to bleed through cuts as the force of the punches swelled his skin and left his vision blurred. As Nikko laid another firm fist on Diaco, sending the man downwards towards the ground. Nikko pulled back both of his hands and slung them into a united fist, as a small ball of sparks began to fill the air.
"Let me show you how much my sister felt when she died." Nikko yelled.
As if by note the sparks came together into Nikko's fist and he fired the small blast forward, though the attack was much wider to any visible eye since, the heat from the lighting blast would fry anything in its path. As the attack hit Diaco he was slammed into the ground, and a smoke of dust filled the air.

Nikko flung his hand out again, his sword appearing again, he flipped backwards away from Diaco's position and flung himself in the dust, the sound of sound of metal sliding across each other was the last noise as the battle filled silent. The dust cleared slowly, and standing over Diaco was Nikko, his sword planted firmly down into Diaco's face, splitting it into two. Though as more of the dust cleared, Diaco's blade was slammed through Nikko's chest, though the look on the younger man's face seemed to tell that he had won even in death. They both remained that way due to the position of the blades, a lasting moment it would seem in time.

Amico's head was flung down and his long hair was covering his face as the shadows flickered across the cave area, he only looked up when Hokyo awoke from his well put sleep. The movement was slow at first, but Amico could see that Hokyo had crawled over towards Hokuri and wrapped his hand around his head. His eyes forced down again as his father began to weep, chanting in unknown languages, praying it would have seemed. Amico had never once heard Hokyo beg for help, no his father was pleading not begging. Amico reached out his hand as a shadow strolled in front of him, his hand firmly wrapped around Hokyo's. His eyes met with the green eyes of a man that already knew the aura of his wife was gone and the brother that had appeared in the late part of the game. Amico stood slowly and curled his first tightly around and slammed it into the side of Hokyo's face, sending the man backwards onto the ground.

Hokyo snapped his head up when his attack from his son had surprised him, and glared at the youth, but his eyes softened as he realized that Amico had been the reason for the small group of Cumens to still be alive. He looked at the man that had once been the little boy that would bounce on his leg and laugh at his stupid faces, but those days were over and all Hokyo could remember now was the death of everyone he cared for. His mind raced to Yune as that was the reason he awoke in the first place, his wife's aura's core had vanished and he knew that it must have been Rikyo. Standing slowly he walked to Amico and they only stood a foot apart when Hokyo stopped and looked a bit down on his son.
"Move Amico, please let me go." He spoke with a voice of a man that was about to crack, though his only answer was a fist to the jaw which sent him back again. He laid on his back this time looking that the ceiling of the cave and growled a little under his breath.
"Why won't you let me go?" He demanded in a voice that he had never once used against his children.

Amico only gave a small smile of how stubborn Hokyo truly was. He tilted his head down after knocking his father down the second time, a task unlikely done by any man. He listened to the question and thought thoroughly on how to answer it.
"You carry enough sins, I can not allow you to carry the blood of your own daughter to her grave along with yourself." He froze in mid sentence as his mouth became dry at the words he was about to say. "I will do it." he stated loudly as he looked down at the man which he had always known as his father. Their eyes interlacing reading the other and slowly Amico turned away from Hokyo and headed towards the cave's mouth, his eyes turned back a little as he stopped.
"Next time you aren't allowed to have any girls, they are to ill mannered." He spoke with no not of joy, though the remark was meant as a joke.
He exited the cave and vanished into thin air and appeared back on the main street, only a few feet from where Yune's body now laid. His eyes however rested on Rikyo, her back turned towards her own mother. Amico's eyes traveled towards Nikko and Diaco which were posted in a perfect match with no winner.
"Hello, little sister." He said with a heavy voice.

Hokyo sat in the cave beside Hokuri to give him warmth and sighed a little as he looked over his barely alive son and tilted his head away for a moment.
"We went easy because we loved her, but Amico..." He trailed off in the sentence as he finally understood what Amico was going to do.
Amico unlike the others had always shown compassion and love towards Rikyo, she adored him above all else, but because of that. Amico was going to kill her, he was going to pull out the last form of the Soul Keepers. The one that Hokyo dared not invoke out of fear for the safety of those around. Though Amico had always been...
"Please be safe." He said his words making him feel like a old man, that had just watched his wife pass away, along with his loved half brother, and last but not least his son Hokuri's body getting weaker.

Bandi woke up with a start.
His left arm was glowing with green sparks laced a deep gash in his arm. He must have passed out in the battle.
"You fell pretty hard back there..." a familiar voice rang to his far left.
East was there with a deeply asleep Lyra in his arms, blanketed with his cape.
Bandi looked around to see Izel sleeping against a tree as well, while Evan looked down at him leaning against a tree.
There was a sound of brustling grass as Aldeth paced back and forth.
"Have we been seperated from the group?"

Ray was silent. She didn't even move. Her eyes were closed and her fists clenched. With her vision gone for the moment it wouldn't even matter if she could see. She shook a little but made no sign that she was breathing. This wasn't possible! It couldn't be possible! She shook her head and turned, falling to the ground and slamming her fists on it like a wild animal.

Rikyo sighed as she looked at the two dead bodies “You talked big to Diaco…. Now look at you” she shook her head with a strange expression. Her mother’s body pretty much obliterated, her bother dieing and her father broken. What else could she do to hurt the man? Her thoughts flew to Amico. Her brother. She could feel him behind her before he spoke. The sound of her name on his lips sent a jolt of electricity through her body and she frowned. Her wings spread out behind her like a war banner and her black sword was still soaked n her mother’s blood.

Slowly the demon turned to face the man she formerly called brother. Her wings vanished and she smiled a wicked smile “you know…. You could have joined me Amico. I didn’t want to fight you…. The letter I sent to dad said all of you but I hoped that you wouldn’t fight me. We could have ruled with you at my side and I would have made sure you had everything.” she shook her head with mock sadness “but yet you stayed with them… after everything you stayed with THEM”

She lifted her hand and cracked her fingers, then her neck and last her other hand “I had hoped you wouldn’t stand in my way.” She flexed her arms and felt the power flowing through them from the darkened souls. She looked up at her brother and released a crooked laugh “Join me Amico. This is the last time I hold open the offer for you. My last officer…” she glanced behind her had Diaco “well he sadly resigned a few moments ago.” she looked back to her brother “so there’s a spot open.”

"In more ways then you think...." Evan said darkly.
He felt like as if two candles have gone out in his heart.
"Excuse me." He said simply and walked over to Ray. He merely sat next her and placed an arm around her to comfort her. He could only imagine the pain she must be going through, considering the bond they shared...

Ray shook her head and held her fists clenched tightly into a ball. Her palms began to bleed from the force of her nails. She refused to cry though. She had to be stronger than that. She turned and buried her face into Evan's chest and took slow uneven breaths "I won't let it end like this" she whispered mostly to herself "not after all this... no..." She then once more became silent as the grave.

Out from the shadows crept a solitary figure with a small throwing knife in his hand. He had obviously escaped the mass destruction.
The moment he had a clear aim at the man who had his arm wrapped around a little girl, he pulled his hand back to throw. But right as he was about to throw the weapon, an arrow shot out and pieced his hand, nailing it to the tree next to him as he wailed out in pain.
"You folks better watch yourselves more closely around these woods."
A voice said slyly from the shadow and a slim figure with a crossbow in her hands walked out to reveal herself.
"Hey, Al...."

Evan wrapped his arms tightly around Ray's body, as he himself felt a lump grow in his throat. "No, no you won't. And believe me, I'll do everything in my powers to aid you as well. I'll find whoever it is pulling the strings from the shadows and bring him to his knees in front of Hokyo and you."

Aldeth quickly turned his head to the sound and his heart skipped a beat when he heard that familiar voice.
"Artemis!" He exclaimed and dashed to her, pulling her closely to him and sealing his lips on hers.

Artemis looked slightly taken aback by this sudden kiss but didn't resist. however, after a brief moment, she did push him back with a grin on her face. "Slow down, Tiger. There's always a time for everything, and this isn't the time for that."
She then looked around at the awestruck gazing eyes.
"Hi, sorry. My name's Artemis, Aldeth's girlfriend."

Ray slowly looked up. She opened her eyes though she couldn't really see a thing. She shifted herself and peered over in the direction of the voice and tilted her head "Aldeth has a girlfriend?" she said softly. It was a nice thing in the midst of all these bad things. She smiled softly "if it were any other time i'd be bugging him about it" she admitted softly.

Evan sighed at his son's antics.
"HAD a girlfriend. Until she went away on family matters." He wispered into Ray's ears.
"And trust me, she's way more clear headed then Aldeth ever would be. Really polite too. definitely a keeper."

"Oh, sorry." He apologized, looking guiltily at everyone, including his mom.
"Oh yeah. You two never met. Mom, Artemis. Artemis, my mom."

Amico glanced at Rikyo and looked at the other two figures, his figure completely calm due to his own inability to show feelings besides a common smile. His eyes then turned themselves down in thought. He sighed deeply and then looked at his sister.
"I love you, even though you are only half of my blood, I still loved you." He said with the most painful tune in the sentence. His eyes remaining on Rikyo at all times.
He took a step forward his hands both at his sides, as he came straight in front of Rikyo and hugged her tightly, unwilling to allow himself to let go. He slowly let go with a note of stiffness in his limbs as he backed away again.
"I love you Rikyo, however thats why I'm going to kill you, you are my family, as much as Hokyo and the others, I side with them." His voice still calm and almost sorrowful, even in the light of the day it could have seemed that a single tear had fallen down his face. Though much like Hokyo he seemed to finally be able to stand above the tides of time, with such a deadly sentence.
His hand swung forward and the giant two sided sword appeared, though the extra metal seemed to vanish and become a very old sword, the sword that Hokyo had used when he had stayed on earth. Amico's own ability to control himself slowed to almost a state that he had died where he stood. His hands steady, even though he was about to take the life of his dear sister. As the amount of time passed and neither his body or mind seeming to settle on a time best to attack, but in seconds blink his appearance had changed. The second form of the Soul Keepers, the gray hair slinging over his right shoulder, his eyes the mixture of green and ember like that of a fire burning, the sword changed itself into the form of a limp strand of cloth, and as energy slung through it, it stiffened making it glow almost in the light, and a large aura seemed to erupt from him, unlike Hokyo had ever put forth before. Though the depth of the aura seemed hidden, like this wasn't the end of the transformation. In another blink he had appeared in front of Rikyo, his hands held tightly the cloth like blade and swung downwards, only half-heartedly.
"I love you Rikyo." He repeated to himself more than anyone.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 3:30 pm

Rikyo waited quietly, She had shunned away from the hug but now she was watching him power up. A smile reached her lips. No matter what Amico had never been easy on her. He treated her just the same as he treated the others. She supposed that’s why she had respected him and even loved him like a sister should. But now those emotions were buried deep inside her soul. She watched him approach, it was a quick moment but his heart wasn’t in it. She dodged and shifted over a few feet away “If you attack me like that” she said softly “you have no chance of beating me.” she may be evil but she understood in order to win a fight you had to want to win with everything.

She lifted her sword and fought back against the pressure that Amico’s aura put on her. She wasn’t going down easy and she planned on showing him that. Her wings shot from her back once more and grew out longer than before. Then she rose off the ground and maintained her pot. She looked down at Amico and smiled “If you’re going to fight me… then do it like your own life was on the line!” with that she shot blots of crimson lightning at her brother without hesitation or mercy. If he would not join with her then she had no choice after all.

The power of pure darkness flowed through her from her master. He wasn’t in this plain of existence but he was real enough for her and she got her energy straight from him. Her powers began to change. The lightning itself that she controlled turned a deep purple and flames of this same purple wrapped around each one as the new ability hit her. Her master knew this was going to be a big fight and he was giving her the full power. She smiled a little and soaked it in knowing she would need it if Amico put his whole self into this fight.

Ray smiled and bowed her head “nice to meet you dear” she said softly Artemis sounded like a lovely woman and good hearted. Slowly she stood, removing herself from Evan’s arms and then turning to him her eyes closed because there was no point in having them open “I… I might be going away again for a bit” she announced “something important has come to my attention.”

"What? What do you mean You're going away?" He asked and noticed Ray's eyes were closed.
"Ray. If there's anything wrong, you better keep me informed, cuz I don't want to go inside your mind to find out." He siad with a stern, but concerned look.
