Isaac nodded to James as he used blizzara under him to shoot over the firaga. His vest becoming a parachute, knives still glinting from his hands. " Hold these for me!" Isaac yelled as he let go and fell through the air, knives sailing ahead of him to turn the side and part of the backside of the Behemoth King into a pincushion. The vest was caught and whipped back on, running in closer. He smiled as he ran up the side of the beast, the knives like foot holds. The Behemoth swatted at him and crashed into its own arm, Isaac had jumped to its back. "Get to the head and either let it beat itself to death or I do it..."

Erec nodded at James and prepared to rush the now-known Behemoth King. Before he did that, though...

"Cerberus!" he shouted. "Do your thing...whoa!" He had to jump to the side to avoid the monster's spell. Unfortunately, the car he was standing on wasn't so lucky. It had exploded in a fireball of heat and machinery. As he stood, he concentrated one last time on his Guardian's arrival. "Counter Rockets!"

The sky above Erec grew as black as night, and the snap of cold air sent a chill down his spine. Behind him, a large gate erupted from the ground, and his three-headed Guardian appeared behind it, snarling and banging away. As the gate cracked open, Cerberus burst free and howled towards the air. Suddenly, a burst of light came from his body and surrounded each SeeD. Satisfied with itself, Cerberus walked back to the gate and disappeared, the gate closing behind it and disappearing back to where it came.

"Guys, if you didn't already, you got Double and Triple! Go nuts!" Erec shouted to the rest as he took his gauntlet attachments from his belt and snapped them onto his wrists. He took a second to focus on the gleaming blades before casting Protect, Shell and Haste on himself.

"Let's do this!" Erec shouted as he charged to the Behemoth King's back legs in an attempt to take part of it down. Since the beast wasn't focused on him, it was easy to get to its back right leg. As he ran up to it, he reared his fist back and, upon meeting the behemoth leg (sorry, couldn't help myself), sunk his now clawed fist into it. Not wasting any time, Erec unleashed a flurry of punches at its knees.

'This is what we've been missing! A real fight!' Cerberus snarled inside his head. Erec couldn't help but smile because he couldn't help but agree.

Isaac whooped as he reached for a horn, finally getting to the top. "Thanks buddy! But now you should move! Holy!" Isaac shouted as he left the Behemoth, ”No reason to stick around here now.” His vest again acting as a parachute. Three holies started up against different parts of the monster. The white spheres spinning around the Behemoth violently. The explosions caused a some more major damage to the surrounding buildings, but that was nothing compared to what the behemoth could do if it had the time. Isaac landed on the ground and fell to his buttocks, his hands holding him up. ”Better have worked, that took a lot outta me…” The blinding light had yet to disappear.

The Behemoth King roared in fury, frustrated that it failed to eliminate its targets. It continued to swat at Isaac, but the boy was too fast for the large and bulky creature. The Holy Spells were nothing more than a mere nuisance to it, seeing as its Magical Defense was so high. The spells did damage, plenty of damage, but they didn't even slow the best down.

It was Erec that was being a problem. Erec was in a wonderful place to attack, if the Behemoth King had been distracted by someone else. The only problem...Isaac wasn't there to be an annoyance any more. So the Behemoth looked down at Erec and let out a low growl. He was irritated now. With his great paws, he brought them heavily, and surprisingly quickly, downward at Erec's head. And at the same time it sent its spiked tail at Isaac, who had sadly landed behind the large creature.

The great creature's focus had surprisingly shifted. Kino was not as large a threat as Isaac or Erec, and so it was doing its best to eliminate the bigger problems first.

James had a plan for eliminating the great creature, but it was going to be rather costly. And it was extremely dangerous. He had cast triple on himself, and was preparing several spells in his mind. He needed to get in close before he could cast any of them though, and then it would be at a great risk to himself. He had to be in close if he was going to contain the impending explosions.

"Amara." He thought out loud, having taken a vantage point that allowed him to chose the ideal time to attack, "She could be of assistance."

He dashed back in Amara's direction, and quickly found her where he had originally left her. He knew that she didn't like him, but if he was going to possibly destroy himself then why wouldn't she help him? It was worth a shot.

"Amara." He began, wanting to get the plan out quickly so that Isaac and Erec could walk away at least in one piece, "You were going to use Tornado, weren't you? I need you to. Focus all your energy on the beast, and I'm going to leap inside the thing. While inside, I'm going to combine a few spells that will create a rather large explosion, and I need your help in containing it. I'll need Rainer's as well. It's the only way we're going to be able to beat this thing."

Amara landed back upon the ground on her knees after the Behemoth's attack, her eyes wide in shock at the close blow that would have rendered her fatally injured. For a moment she stared blankly at James as he implied his knowing that she hated him--though such words caused her mind to momentarily spasm in confusion before she could register the rest.

Hatred? That's only half of it...

Keep silent. He must not know.

Amara stared at James as he asked for her aid, formulating his desperate plan to exterminate the Behemoth. Her lips cringed involuntarily at his implication that he and Rainer were both needed to destroy it; and yet, did he think her so foolish that he would leave the finer details from her so intentionally? Diablos snarled in warning fury against her mind, doing his best to avert her, distract her, prevent her from saying what ached to be said along the tip of her tongue. Yet she was, above all else, human, and her very human emotions were getting the best of her; namely, frustration and contempt towards the older, more experienced SeeD.

"I'll gladly help," She began quickly, her gaze piercing and almost a tiny bit hostile, "Of course, if that's what it takes to kill the Behemoth. But really, James--do you think I'd be so foolish as to hate a person I've just met, especially one who has just saved my life? Let me tell you now that I know what you are, and that very nature repulses me, though I cannot be obliged to give my reasons or my motives."

Fool!

The SeeD pulled herself to her feet, her black hair swaying like a delicate curtain, casting a thick shadow over her face. She raised her head and regarded the Behemoth with another sneer, her fingers twitching and aching to destroy it. Diablos's rage erupted within her; he was upset beyond reason, and its waves were pulsing through her, affecting her mood. She had given away vital information, yet to how deep and revealing a degree, she did not know; all she knew was that she was tired of this man's secrecy, and felt a strange sort of satisfaction in addressing him as what he really was.

Say no more! Fool child!

"You plan on possibly sacrificing yourself. A sheep, but a strong one." Her words were not a question; she sought his gaze again, as if to study him through her lowered lashes, "I'll use my magic to its full strength. You have my word on that, sorcerer."

James could not help the smile that broke across his features. She had known for quite some time exactly what he was. He knew that. But still he had not confronted her. It clinched exactly what he had thought to begin with as well. She was Doctor Odine's Grand Experiment that had been kept from everyone. Even the highest ranking people in Esthar had not been allowed to see what it was.

But she was human. That wasn't part of the original plan. She was originally meant to be just a tool for the Sorceresses, and apparently knowing this made her a cruel person. Any magical being seemed to disgust her entirely. Diablos was the only one that seemed to keep her in control.

"If I live through this, you and I will have to have a long talk, Odine's Project." James returned, his voice much kinder than her's. He had no intention of insulting her. He was merely calling her by what she was, since she had just done the same to him, "I will live through this. You are of great interest to me, and I would like to talk with you."

James then charged back into battle, preparing a three spell combination that any normal human wouldn't dream of using. It was a spell combination that would likely kill the caster. A double Flare combined with Holy.

I will do what I can, Master, but not even your body may be able to handle such power.

Won't know unless I try, right?

Rainer's Sorceress Magic should be able to help keep your body in one piece, as will my own. Live through this. You need to speak with Amara again.

Again, that much I already knew.

((Touché, James! xd ))

Amara's eyes widened slightly, her breath catching in her throat as James retorted with his own surprising knowledge of her nature. Anger boiled beneath the surface, manifested in Diablos's shocked fury; yet she struggled to keep herself calm, raising a brow in silent inquiry as to how he possibly could have acquired such information. Her lips pursed in a straight, stoic line, yet she found no words to indicate her displeasure and sense of violation. Instead, she merely "hmphed," turning her full attention towards the Behemoth and ignoring the screams of unfettered rage which Diablos tore at her very eardrums with.

Amara allowed her glaive to slip from her fingers, landing with an almost graceful clatter upon the ground at her feet. Her arms raised towards the sky as she channeled the drawn magic mentally into her mind, remembering with vague gratitude the triple cast by the stranger SeeD's Cerberus, finding it would be extremely useful to aid in the sorcerer's plans.

And now you have addressed your opposition, and you two are enemies.

Not enemies...he's still human, isn't he?

And what does that make you?

A SeeD...as is he. Tornado!

Her fingers felt the first few faint wisps of air before her lips could mouth the words. The girl's eyes were shut as she concentrated on the Behemoth's roar, the very vibrations of its movements against the shaking earth...and then her body burst with energy as she released the magic once, twice, three times, as if her very insides were being hoisted from her body to plunge freely into the skies. The winds burst forward in miniature cyclones, picking up stray debris upon the ground, smaller cars and uprooted objects and flinging them across the skies as the gust plunged straight for the Behemoth.

What would happen now would be pure luck, whether the force of her triple spell would be devastating enough to distract and injure the beast for James's plan to work. Amara fell forward slightly as her body grew suddenly shaky and empty, as if there were nothing left within her but a void from the cost of the heavy magic. She clutched onto her chest slightly, slumped over for a minute instant, until she jerked herself to her feet again and caught her shaky breath. The cyclones would do their damage; yet to what degree, she couldn't possibly know.

"Oh?" Kino now sat in an indian-style like manner, his right elbow on top of his knee, and his chin placed to rest on the palm of his right hand as pillar for his head. He since long gave up on the spell he attempted to cast, not that he couldn't cast such a spell, er rather, it seemed pointless. "Ya'know Carbuncle... " The debree of a tornado attack was deflected by an invisible barrier due to his special ability.

He'd continue. "With all these people using fancy spells... makes all the ones that I know seem like it's not enough... so..." His eyes slightly widened, but remained almost halfway closed. "So... maybe just this once I can-"

"NO! You know as well as I do you aren't allowed to do that!"

"Yea... " His eyes slowly began to close more than halfway as memories flushed through his head. "Well..."Coming to his feet he'd pat himself down before holding out his palm pointing towards the large behemoth. "Guess I won't then.... this'll just have to be enough without it."

"Firaga." His right palm which now began to glow red, generated a small ball in front of it, and in only a few moments a beam with a width of five feet now shot towards the behemoth, barely budging the creature with a large explosion to its side.

"Thats a Firaga?"

Kino kept his hand where it was, pointing at the target. "Yes, but a more concentrated version."He'd reply before generating yet again, another Firaga. "It's harder to hit the target of course, but aiming at a large target won't be too hard..."

Erec jumped backwards as Isaac's Holy spells ricocheted around the large creature. The Behemoth King seemed bothered by the spells, but his earlier attacks seemed to majorly piss it off.

'Oh, look, a pet. Can we keep it?'Cerberus said with blatant sarcasm.

Only if you walk it, Cerbe...oh, crap... Erec thought as he saw the creature swing one of its truck-sized paws at him. He knew he was too close to fully avoid it, so he jumped backwards again while guarding his body with his arms, tensing for the upcoming hit. He didn't have to wait long. The next thing Erec knew, he was flying backwards into a general store.

"Well...that was...quick for...something so big," he breathed out as he picked himself up from a fruit display. The Protect spell took some of the damage, but it still felt like getting hit with the business end of a train. He felt something sliding down his forehead, and he brushed it off to notice it was a piece of...

Grapefruit? I hate grapefruit, he thought bitterly. Now I'm mad.

'Oh, yes, getting slammed through the window of a store didn't get you mad, but grapefruit? Hyne forbid you got any in your eye. I would probably get a few chuckles out of it though.' Erec wasn't in the mood for laughing. He walked out the building and noticed the SeeD from Galbadia Garden powering up a spell. From the looks of it, a powerful one at that. Erec was unsure if the Behemoth King would notice her, but he wanted its attention kept on him for as long as he could until her spell hit.

Aura. With the uttered word, Erec suddenly released a golden light, which surrounded him. When it disappeared, it looked as though it rubbed all the gold on him.

' Limit, eh? How interesting indeed. I can't remember the last time I've seen you use it in a battle, Cerberus replied offhandedly.

It may not kill it...but it sure as hell will keep it mad at me until Amara gets set., Erec responded. He recast Haste on himself and let his Limit's power take over. He suddenly rushed the Behemoth King, moving so fast that it appeared as if three Erecs were going for the attack, and quickly punched it in the face. Not even registering if the thing felt it, Erec dipped underneath its belly and delivered a series of irritating punches.

With his heart feeling as if it was pumping directly next to his ear, Erec heard nothing other than the sound of his own breathing. Approaching the creature's back right leg, his fist began to glow a bright orange. As he threw his punch, the glow took the form of a small dragon's head, fangs and all.

"Dragon Fist," he uttered as the punch connect with shattering force with the creature's knee. As soon as the blow connected, Erec jumped back and turned his head to align himself with the creature's front left leg. His feet were then suddenly surrounded with a small gust of wind, which quickly spun into a mini-cyclone.

"Cyclone Kick." Erec spun his body and swung his right leg in a low arc towards the creature's ankle and connected again with a strike that would have instantly shattered a normal man's bone. Using the momentum from the spin, he started yet another slower spin and kicked the creature in the ankle again, this time with his left foot. He then used the Behemoth King's (hopefully) shattered leg as a vault and jumped back to where his whirlwind of activity began: in front of the general store. His right fist glowed golden as he stared the beast down.

"You ready?" Erec challenged. "Finisher: Gaia's Rage!" He smashed his fist into the ground, which sent out large cracks in the earth towards the creature's feet. Normally, he would use the earth as spires to impale his enemy, but the Behemoth was too tall for it to reach. So, he decided to weaken the ground beneath it, hoping that the creature would fall through enough to get stuck and be vulnerable to the magical spanking it would soon get.

((Sorry for the long description. Think of Zell's Duel..only with my own little twists to it. There will be a pretty big downside to all this, as I will write next post.))
PostPosted: Sat Oct 06, 2007 7:45 pm

Isaac gasped as the colossal tail sailed into him, his arms thrown up on his left side to try and keep some of the force from his head. He crashed into a building, blood flying from his mouth as he hit the ground. He trembled getting up, every bone in him aching. His left arm giving out and he face planted. "Broken... Not good..." He continued to stumble up and his right hand glowed. He gazed at the behemoth king, hopefully already forgotten from behind. "Where to hit it... Where to hit it? The apex of the arms and legs meet there," Isaac made a mental note. "And then the torso extends... Got it!" He knew James was scheming with the girls over a ways.

"James!" Isaac yelled, his right arm waving a little bit. "Hit it just above its... belly button? You should go right through! We can go from there!" "If any of us actually feel like getting inside... Then we can tear it apart. No thick hide in there..." Isaac surprisingly didn't take enough damage for a limit break just yet, so he threw a few more knives into the back of its knees. He turned and starting backing off a little, one more hit like that would be all she wrote.

A triple Tornado? Not bad at all.

The girl is not holding back, as she so promised. How do you intend to survive this?

I tend to figure these things out as I go along...

James used Amara's first Tornado like a Catapult, launching himself up into the air so that he was far overhead all of Esthar. The Behemoth King stood out like a sore thumb, though, as did all the damage that it had caused. It was easy to shift his body so that it acted like a missile, and he shot himself right at the mighty creature.

The Behemoth King likely would have taken notice of first Amara's spells and then James's flight, but it was far to busy failing to contend with Erec. Erec's limit break had done the work it needed and essentially immobilized the gargantuan. Erec did not shatter the Behemoth King's Leg, though, merely fractured it. The beast's unnaturally high Vitality played a hand in that.

It roared in fury, however, when it took a step toward Erec and the ground beneath it collapsed. It struggled fiercely, doing everything it could to right itself, but to no avail. The Triple Tornado combination saw to that. The three spells whirled around the creature, inflicting a large amount of damage simply because of the level of the spells. The beast's magic defense was starting to fail it.

That was where James's three spells came in. It would be near fatal to them both, a triple combination like the one planned. From high in the air, James drew his Titan Blade and pointed it downward. It was aimed directly for the creature's back. With all his might he threw the sword, and it came crashing down on the Behemoth King's spine. The beast roared again, this time in greater fury and annoyance. How were so many small creatures being such a nuisance? The Gargantuan Creature had taken plenty of Damage, yes, but it was still a long way from being beaten.

And finally James crashed into the creature head first. On impact, he let his three spells go, all targeting the central point of the Behemoth King: Its chest. The Holy Spell was cast first, for it was the carrier. Through his own special talents, James had performed a spell fusion. The orbs of the Holy Spell grew brighter at first, and then they turned a very dark red (A sign that the spell fusion had worked) before pummeling the creature's chest. It roared in both fury and pain, knocking James, who hand landing on the Behemoth King's head, up into the air and then spinning rapidly used its tail to knock the A Rank SeeD in the direction of the nearby Office building.

After using a three spell combination like that, what else do you think would have happened? James may have been a Sorcerer, yes, but that was still a massive amount of energy released all at once. It took everything he had to contain the damage to just the Behemoth and stop the spells from ripping him apart. It left him practically helpless. And so now he found himself flying through the air in the direction of the Shopping District.

((Please catch me Icarii... sweatdrop ...It's not going to be pretty if I do hit the ground, or anything for that matter, in the shopping district... sweatdrop ))

Erec grinned when he saw James go airborne. He knew that he was setting up for something big with all the Tornado spells that Amara was casting.

'As nice as it must be to admire your handiwork, it would be wise to move, Cerberus replied.

"Good point," Erec said aloud as he prepared to move back. He took three steps towards a nearby alleyway when the side effects of his Limit coupled with Haste can do. His leg muscles began to spasm horribly from the strain. He held back a gasp as he collapsed to the ground.

Dammit! he screamed in his mind. He hated this part of the awesome Limit Break. Especially now, when escaping from a magical meltdown of epic proportions was so important. The recurring muscle spasms broke his mental musing, so he struggled through the pain, managed to stand and limped his way away from the now-trapped Behemoth King. As the spells erupted behind him, Erec turned around and grinned at the beast.

"Checkmate," he said with a grin. The grin disappeared when the spasms caused him to fall backwards against a wall. "Damn. No laughing, Cerberus."

'And you plan on stopping me how? Besides...it was worse the first time you attempted it, remember? I've never seen human legs bleed like that before...and they still survive.'

"Yeah...fortunate."

||So sorry about the long absence... These computers are causing me trouble, but hopefully it's all fixed now. Lo siento!||

Rainer stared at the King Behemoth as if in a trance. The huge thing was wreaking havoc, but Rainer merely stood there. She swayed slightly, staring at the monster in a trance. Her white-gold eyes narrowed slightly, trying to see something. Her Sorceress power screamed through her, aching for release. She shook her head, trying to dispel the feeling of seeing through someone else's eyes. Slowly, she blinked and seemed to come to her senses. Fellow SeeDs were standing around the beast, looking tired and spent. Two men Rainer didn't know were also there. However, she suspected they were SeeDs seeing as they weren't running from the King Behemoth screaming. Her mouth quirked at the thought. Her eyes followed James as he spoke to Amara and then was sucked up into the Tornado. She frowned. What was he doing? Finally, after all these years, he was going senile. Rainer bit her lip ruefully. It was probably her fault too.

Frowning slightly with worry, Rainer watched as James started to fall. If he could launch himself at the King Behemoth, knock into it headfirst and unleash several spells at the same time, why couldn't he catch himself? Rainer took a half step forward. It didn't matter why he couldn't catch himself. Only that he wasn't. Sorceress power enticed her to use it. Rainer had to catch James, and she couldn't do that with regular spells. She would have to release her power. Resolute, Rainer lifted a hand; she didn't really know what she was doing; she merely acted on instinct. Energy flowed into her arm, coming out of her outstretched hand and propelled itself toward James. The path of the invisible energy distorted the air around it. The energy hit James hard, probably bruising him. It wrapped itself around James and began to reel him in, almost like a fish. Rainer let a small smile grace her face. He would be safe now.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:53 pm

||She's alive!||

Thankfully, there was no bruise. James's own Sorcerer Powers welcomed the flood of energy from Rainer and immediately began to right what all had gone wrong with his body. He was still being pulled toward Rainer, of course, but the extra magic that was pulling him in that direction was also being used to heal him. Broken bones were replacing themselves. Cuts and scratches were closing over. And he was getting feeling back in the various portions of his body.

When he was finally next to Rainer and her powers let him go, he dropped to the ground and landed on his feet. He smiled to her. He couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you." He simply said, before turning and rushing back into the battle. The Behemoth King still had his sword, and he wanted it back.

Rainer felt another power, foreign to her, but somehow familiar. It was pulling James back together, as well as using her own power to energize it. Her white brows pulled together as she frowned in confusion at James. It was almost as if... he was helping her. But that was impossible. But then again, his earlier feats earlier were nearly impossible for a normal human to achieve. Her brows pulled down. Could he be...? No. Impossible.

As James alighted near her, he smiled at her. Rainer couldn't help but smile back. Near death experiences seemed to make her appreciate him more and more. Who'da thunk it?

As James raced back into the battle, Rainer tilted her head. Perhaps she should help? Duh. Rainer sighed. She was a SeeD. It was her duty to help. Rainer grudgingly set off toward the huge monster. As she walked forward, Rainer felt the attendant Sorceress power within her, ready to be released at a moment's notice. Once awakened, Rainer found she could control it a bit. However, she didn't really know what it would do once released. Well, only one way to find out.

"Let's see..." Rainer murmured, lifting a hand. She pointed a gloved finger at the King Behemoth and uttered, "Grushdeva." A whirl of black energy blasted out of her finger and flew straight at the King Behemoth. The King Behemoth didn't even see what hit it when the black energy slammed into its chest. The King Behemoth stilled for a moment. Its body blackened inch by inch, and it started to glow. Its shape began to shift, growing into a humanoid figure, except gargantuan compared to a human. In its meaty hand was a blade of some sort. When the glow died down, Rainer gulped.

"Oops," she stammered. The King Behemoth-turned-Iron Giant turned toward her. "Damnit."
