anyone know the skin color/eye color and style and hair style and color for her avi? It won't show up for me.

Its always good to participate in contests! It for sure doesn't hurt your chances of winning when you do. whee
I don't have intricate background stories or descriptions for these two outfits. I personally am not a writer. Though I imagine that the female avatar lives a very down to earth (hah hah punny...>>") life and the male avatar takes things quite a bit less seriously.
