Bakura wrung the water out of his hair and shivered slightly as the sun went down, now kind of wishing that he had brought his coat along. He waited for Rei to catch up, and started to walk again. "I do suspect that the priests, maybe just one of them, had been messing around and created some kind of portal that brought you here. There's no other way." He looked up at the sky, which was bloodred. "You want to go back to your world, right?"

"well....im not sure" she said walking beside him.She liked being here...with bakura. "Can't I stay with you?" she asked innocently.

Bakura glanced over at Rei in mild surprise. She was the first person to ever show an interest in staying with him. His men had been housed and fed, plus they got some part of the pay when they got something, and Akila had been a whole other matter. "I don't have a very pleasant lifestyle." He pointed out.

Bakura kept his eyes on the ground before him. "And you're alone in your world?" He had managed to accept the fact that Rei was from the future, but couldn't bring himself to say that whatever was in the future was the same world as where he lived in right then.

"Good." Bakura ruffled Rei's hair as he would a child, and found that they had reached the house. "Tomorrow we'll leave." He said, ignoring his hunger. He hadn't eaten for about two days.

Rei chuckled softly "Alright" she brushing her hair out of her eyes.Heading into the house she steped into the kicthen area looking around. "hey theres food in here!" she said descovering a barrel of dried fruit and a barrel of salt which had dried meat in it "holy s**t." she hadnever seen so much salt in her life.

"Right. You hungry?" Bakura asked, grabbing some shriveled piece of some kind of fruit and eating it.

Rei picked up a piece of fruit and sniffed it before taking a bite. "not bad." she said taking another bite.It was sweet like candy.

Bakura grabbed some of the meat and paused, frowning. He had forgotten to bring water back to water the horse and for drinking. That had been mostly why he went there. Tossing the meat back into the barrel, he grabbed another piece of fruit.
