Kari suddenly became very angry at Dpep's words.
You know nothing of the Jedi. You talk as if we were going to hurt him, I was trying to help him, and you took me as a hostage. The only people that can't be trusted is you.
Kari couldn't believe someone could be so blind. Stop echoing the words of another unless you have seen both sides for what they are, or you have no right to be judging anyone, even the Jedi!

You can say you would not try to take him to the temple with force, but I cannot believe you.... because you did it before. The jedi erased Revan's mind, for one. The jedi wanted to arrest Dooku with force, so nothing assures me you would not do the same with Zeth"

But Zeth is not our enemy, he has no wish to see the jedi die out, Dooku wanted to kill all the Jedi, as did revan. Also ytou could say Revan saved the republic, be destorying his old apprentice. I am not your enemy yet you took me hostage, and for what? If you live your life believing everything you are told unless you see it for yourself. If Zeth had been taken into the temple he would have been allowed to leave when he was well. However I guess we will now never know.

Zeth pointed his finger in anger towards Dpep, knowing full well he didn't have to nor wanted to take orders from him
"YOU are NOT my master, Dpep!.....You may be in charge of watching us, but I take no one's orders, unless Master Maniac himself gives them to me"
Zeth calmed down and thought of what Dpep had said about the Jedi erasin Revan's mind all those milleniums ago.
"I betrayed the Jedi for personal gain....now that Alron has been confirmed alive, he would do anything to take away the Unbound force users away from our master, Maniac....."
Zeth stayed silent for a long while, not wanting to speak of the matter anymore

"Maniac agrees with my way of placing orders. I have been trained to do so Zeth. Regardless what you think, I am higher in rank than you and you will have to follow my decisions, am I clear? Maniac will not be happy if he hears you went to the planet. For now, we will leave it at a warning, but do not let it happen again, we were lucky it ended this well.
Kari, you may think Zeth is not your enemy, because you have feelings for him. But the others, especially Alron who has made it his job to prosecute us, will see him as a traitor, and treat him so. I trust Maniac, he did a lot for us. He helped us build up our defenses, gave us designs, information, and hope. The jedi left us when we needed them 4000 years ago, and according to our spies, they have never improved afterward... Put it to a rest Kari, Zeth. I will leave you privatly now. I will wait in the medbay reception until you are done"
Dpep turned around and walked back to the hallway, to the reception, where he took a seat, a holopaper, and waited

Kari bent down slightly to look into Zeth's eyes when he moved his hands away.

Dpep waited on the hall, using the microphones in the walls of the medbay to hear what was spoken about, so they could not sense he was listening along. The Dataweb implant he had, so he could always get orders and listen to TA channels made it look while he was just waiting, noone could hear or see that he was overhearing a conversation.
So the b*****d just tells the jedi what happens?... I cannot let her go back to coruscant with such information, it would hurt Maniac's name... I just knew that Zeth was gonna ******** up..and he seemed like such a promising student back on Amga... I would have promoted him if he didn't do this. What a shame....what a shame...

Kari didn't understand why Manic would want her to come with. It seemed that Manic was playing everyone from the beginning. Kari knew Master Alron should know about this, but it could be some time before she would be able to get back to the temple.
Zeth do you even trust these people?

Zeth stood up and placed his hand on the wall and let his long hair fall past his face.

Dpep silently laughed about what he heard, it seemed like he was thinking about an old joke or something...
Kill him? I wouldn't bother...we're not like that... Perhaps imprison him to punish him for his mistakes...but I would never kill any student... his mind seems like the one of a dark jedi, hate everyone that cannot behave the way you like, even if they are right.... that damn headstrong kid, why did Maniac get him anyway?

Zeth its never to late, come back with me to the Jedi temple. Manic lied to you, everyone here lied to you. These TA do not wish to help everyone, only control. No one and I mean no one would take a hostage if they're intentions were to help others. The Jedi will wecome you back, we don't punish those who leave, we just want to know why they left. Please leave all this behind, all the lied and descaptions and come back with me to the temple.

Zeth balled up his fist and punched at the steel wall, ignoring the pain in his fist and focusing on the frustration of the situation.
"Kari....I told you that is simply impossible for me. Even when I first stepped foot inside the temple, I was never meant to repent for what I am."
Blood began to drip down Zeth's fist from the broken skin. He pulled his arm back and again spoke
"If I was to go back to the Jedi, my Lightside would increase, but it would only empower Urias and I wouldn't be able to control him any longer. If I am able to control my Darkness, I must learn to understand what he feels in the darkside, and the Unbound Force users can teach me this.....And my weakness for you, is a strength to the Jedi now. I won't be used by them Kari, you shouldn't be used either"
