That notion does come to mind, knowing GW and some of their antics. Maybe I should hold on to my trusty Eastpack a little while longer.

Is VDR indeed back in one form or another?

No.

Edit.

Unless by a long shot, you see the outfitting of Titans and certain super-heavy vehicles with special weapon loads or upgrades as the such.

Anyways, Brookman, do you think Blood Axes will be exempt to that Orks not allying with IG bit you posted a bit back?

If you really want it to happen, then go for it. Nobody is going to stop you.

The only thing that could try to stop me is tourneyfags and hardcore rule-lawyers.

Well, Blood Axes are more known for acting and dressing like the Imperial Guard, than really allying themselves with those. But Andy Hall, a dev in the GW studios, has made a mention of wanting to include Blood Axe Kommandos in his IG / WH army as allies, seeing as that is a viable option.

Huh.

In short, any army can ally with any other race really. There is an alliance matrix in the back of the book, but players are still free to choose as they want to if they want it so.

Viable through fluff, or rulebook'd?

GW UK site
This clan was once very powerful, and easily dominated Ork society for a long time. When they began having too many friendly dealings with aliens (especially Humans), it was too much for the other clans to bear. A lot of the Blood Axe Boyz were wiped out in a nasty inter-Ork war known as Da Big Party. As a result the clan were overthrown and the surviving Blood Axes fled into hiding for many years.

Well, that handles fluff, and that's good enough for me.

Also, GW will hand out new datasheets on their website in a sporadic fashion! Meaning that right now we'll get some and never again any more.

Read all about Defence Lasers, Assassin strike teams and the Terminus Land Raider here.

So has anyone had a game of Apocalypse yet?

I have not yet myself as I want my first game to be against my best friends Nids. So I am going to have to wait intill late December when he go's back home from Uni for the holidays.

Can't wait intill a try out a Barracuda or two out on his nids. But knowing him he will use a Bio Titan against me but I will just see that as a huge challenge^^
