You know you played final fantasy 7 too much when you can recite the game by heart random battles and all.

you know you've played FF7 too much when your cd alarm clock wakes you to the Turk's theme music every morning.
(except when company you don't like is staying over in your room and you "accidentally" set it to play Otherworld from FFX at top volume. twisted )
... when you have a wooden replica of the buster sword repainted to be game accurate mounted above the headboard.
... when you've turned an empty case from a tower of blank CD-roms into jenova's tank with sculpey clay, bits of wire, some clear silicone and an L.E.D. kit.
... when your computer is actually named Jenova, and has the meteor logo from the game etched into the side window and is caselit with green LEDs.

When you have the whole game memorized down to the level range of monsters, to the exact location of every item(including detailed instructions down to the game-inch), have maxed out the clock, gotten everyone to level 99, can tell someone before hand exactly what someone is going to say the first, second, third, etc. time you talk to them including typos and mistranslations, have 10 mastered KoTR materia and an 11th almost mastered, have every single materia, max gil, 5 golden chocobos, have defeated all the weapons, have everyone's weapons including initial equipment, all of the above over 5 files with different box colors, and are so traumarized by this all extra information that you see the real world in FFVII graphics and calculate damage points in your head every time someone gets hurt.
Yeah, I pretty much covered it all.

ShibaAyame Well, there is no such thing as too much of a good thing, but for the sake of the post: You know you play too much FFVII when... -You have sworn on someone's grave that you WILL learn how to NOT suck at shaping Wonderflex just so you can make Vincent's accessories accurately (guilty) -You are growing out your hair to cosplay Sephiroth within the next five years, and are even willing to frost "down south" to do it "au naturale" (coughmysister'sfianceecough) -You have downloaded the pattern for the ShinRa army uniform to cosplay Private Cloud Strife because you want to find a Sephy cosplayer and act out the forbidden love often mentioned in fanfics that supposedly occurred before the Nibenheim thing (guilty) -You call your hometown Nibenheim (guilty) -You have real metal shoulderpads for cosplaying Sephy (I know someone who has them, it's just a matter of time before I get the pleather to make the coat...) -You sew marbles into your clothing (guilty) -You saw the breaking of both of your legs as a good thing, because now all you need is a white blanket (Not guilty, but I wanna get a wheelchair just for that) -You have actually gone to a ranch and fought somebody with a cattle prod -You believe that Riku (KH2) is the long-lost lovechild of Sephiroth and Cloud (And I have a story to back it up... XD) -You plan to cosplay Sephiroth (With Masamune, mind you) to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire next year (It shall be done.. trying to get my hubby to cosplay Vincent too XD) -You have spent a while to type this, and wonder if you have carpal tunnel syndrome (guilty) -You are as much of a FFVII geek as I am. XD why waste your time at the renfair when there's http://www.tekkoshocon.com , Pittsburgh, Pa's very own anime convention held every spring just in time for all the FFx-2 cosplayers to freeze their butts off in those cheap skimpy costumes. wink oh, and you know you've played too much FF7 when you've got life-sized dolls of Sephiroth and Cid packed and ready to be displayed at your art table at your next con. *nods* fun times.

You know you've played too much FF7 when your friend calls the Midgar Zolom wasteland Porridge and you are known as the Porridge Guru. ( I am the Porridge Guru to my friend who has problems with the game... ^ ^;; I'm serious, though!! It looks like a big field of porridge!!! )
