Damien was slowly backing up as Rina and Akimaru slowly growled at him, making sure his eyes were kept on them. They slowly made it down the hall and he bumped into Kat. He then freaked and almost dropped the roses on the ground. Rina and Akimaru stared over to each other as they had planned it perfectly. he then turned to Kat and said, "Umm Kat, I'm really sorry for yesterday. I didn't mean to-" He was cut off by Rina nudging them closer together, and he basically dropped the roses into Kat's hands. Seeing how he couldn't just grab it back, he made work to the whole ordeal. "Thos are for you. I think..." He scratched the back of his head as Rina and Akimaru smiled and trotted away from them seeing how their job was done here.

Someone bumped into her and Kat was about to yell at them but she noticed it was Damien. She listened to him silently, and then looked down at the roses. Her tensed muscles relaxed and she took in a breath. She brought them to her face and smelled them, they were beautiful. Tears formed in her eyes and she looked at him. She gave a soft smile, and wrapped her arms around him, closing her eyes. She held the roses in one hand, while keeping her arms wrapped around him tightly. She was almost afraid to let him go. She wiped away some of her tears and then she pulled away. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry I yelled at you." she said softly.

"I'm sorry I yelled. I just wanted you to be safe, even if it meant you hating my guts." He squeezed her tightly to him as he felt her, but her body was cold. She was pale. He then slowly pulled away, and stared at her. It was not a glare, but he wanted to know what happened. He wanted to see the regular Kat, the one he fell in love with. Something was different about her, and he then asked, "Kat? We can do anything today. What do you want to do?"

"I don't hate your guts...I never will. I was just upset." she said softly. She looked into his eyes and looked down. "I look awful don't I? I know. When I get upset I turn pale and cold. I'm sorry. I'm hideous." she said, closing her eyes and turning away. She listened to him and ran a hand through her hair. "I don't...Know." she said softly. She leaned against the wall and was about to go back into her room. "You probably don't want to hang out with me anymore. " she said, wiping away her tears.

He slowly slid his arms around her waist and whispered in her ear, "You're beautiful. I always want to be with you, even when I know I can't." He then began to rock her back and forth and continued, "If you would stop telling yourself that you are ugly, then maybe you might see your true beauty. Kat, I just want you to know, even if you were hideous, I would still love you."

Kat jumped slightly, and she listened to him. She was gripping the roses so tightly she pricked her finger but she didn't seem to notie, and if she did, she really didn't care. Her cheeks felt hot, and she knew she was blushing slightly, as one of the gaurds coughed. Kat turned and wrapped her hands around his and looked into his eyes. She smiled weakly and then she brought her lips up to his, kissing him. She pulled away after a moment and then she started pulling him down the hallway. "I want you to meet somone." she said softly, a smile now on her face. She was already brightening up.

"Oh really?" He asked as he walked close behind her. Her hands felt warm, maybe it was just his imagination, but her hands made his blood boil. He felt as if he was in a furnace just being with her. Then again, his cheeks were bright and he couldn't help but feeling hot around her. She was everthing he ever wanted and more, so this opportunity to spend time with her was great.

Kat pulled him into the recreation room and stopped, looking around. She took a moment, then she pulled him into a corner where Smokey sat, all alone at a table. Kat smiled and released Damien's hand so she could wrap her arms around Smokey who hugged her back with a chuckle. Kat then pulled away and wrapped her hand around Damien's again and smiled. "Damien, this is Smokey. Smokey, this is Damien." she said smiling. Smokey held out his hand to Damien and smiled a warm smile. "Well, hello there young man. It's nice to meet the one that has had Kat so head over heels." he said, only to make Kat blush more. She looked at Smokey with a smile and then she laughed. "He's been my only friend here." she said smiling.

He gripped Smokey's hand and said, "Well if you have treated Kat kindly then I am in debt to you." He then looked over to Kat and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Head over heels? Really?" He was just joking around with her as he smiled and turned back to Smokey. "So what are you in here for?"

Smokey shrugged slightly, "Well, I'm just a train bum that traveled the world. And all my tall tales got me into some trouble, and people began to think I was mental. I was so addicted to whisky I'm sure I was mental. But I'm just an old bum that get's free food, a shelter, all of it. It's nice here." he said with a low chuckle. Kat looked at Damien and smiled. "He tells the best tall tales." she said nodding. She blushed slightly when he kissed her but she kissed him back. She wrapped her arms around him and nodded. "He's coming with us when we're free. Please?" she asked softly, looking to Damien.

"I see no problem in that. As long as it makes you happy." Damien slowly then took Kat's hands and turned her over to him. "I have one thing to say though. Those dogs that you brought, they are kind of weird. They seem to follow me sometimes, and randomly get angry at me." Damien said as he slightly tilted his head with a confused expression on his face.

Kat brightened up and smiled jumping onto Damien and wrapping her arms around him. "Thankyou!" she said happily. Kat thought about the dogs and smiled, "You mean Akimaru and Rina? Oh...Yeah I forgot about that." she said rubbing the back of her head nervously. "They're just two goofballs. They're really nice company. I don't even know where they came from. Akimaru just appeared and then Rina came along." she said softly. She kneeled closer to Damien and whispered to him. "They're gaurdians...They even were in my body once...They bit into my wrists, to save your life." she said softly. "They actually talk to me." she said before pulling back.

He opened his mouth to say something, but then just paused and looked at Kat. "Well I guess they are fine then." He finally managed to say as he pulled her hands in closer to him. He had a light and airy smile, and then felt compelled to kiss Kat. He really had no clue why, but then again, he didn't need a reason.

Kat wasn't for sure what his reaction would be but she was glad that he didn't think that she was making things up. Smokey looked at the clock and chuckled. "Ah, Kat, time to go again. I'll see you later then." he said, waving to Kat, and Damien. "See you two later. Take good care of my girl, she is after all like a grand daughter." he said before walking off. Kat smiled at Smokey and waved to him, before turning back to Damien and looking into his eyes. "Do you know how much I love you?" she asked, smiling a bright smile. She had one of those smiles that would brighten up any room at that moment. She felt like floating away when she was with Damien, and he was the only one that she could spend days thinking about him.

"Why don't you remind me?" He asked as he picked her up and slowly set her onto one of the pool tables. He smiled as he put his face right next to her and trhen said, "Better yet, why don't you show me?"
