He stopped when he spotted large gates and eyed them with his silvery looking eyes which were currently being protected by his glasses. "Gates to a village..."he murmured under his breath. Hoburo's brother, Serado, had taken his place as gate keeper while he was escorting Orico to the village. He gazed into the forest before him, and noticed a shine from a man's glasses. "Halt!!" he called. "Who goes there?!" Kai glanced up at the man who had shouted at him. He took a few steps forward and pulled his deep indigo scarf down to speak more clearly, "A Rogue Ninja who doesn't know his past. I am called Kai. Is it possible of me to enter here? Serado grumbled when he heard "rogue ninja." Ninja of that sort always disgusted him, but he knew better to allow his emotions to interfere with his duty. Stick to protcol. "That depends, Kai. What business do you have here?" he asked. "None, I guess...I heard that many ninja from the Leaf Village had came here. I want to know if any of them heard anything about a man of the past, his name was Kabuto...this man might be the anwser to my past. If Serado had taken time to study history, he would have been able to answer this man's question. But alas, Serado was simply a two bit ninja filling in for another. This man didn't appear to be a threat, and allowing him entrance couldn't do too much harm. Serado opened down from atop the gate and landed in front of it. "Entrance granted!" he said, slamming his palm into the ground. The jutsu was only semi-successful. Serado's pathetic skill opened the gate only half way, but he figured the shinobi could jump over it. "Um... close enough..." he muttered.

The moment Kai passed Serado, the ninja was pack on the top of the gate. Fortunately for him, the gate closed automatically, sparing him from further embarassment. He took one last glance at the ninja has he continued towards the shadow village, hoping he hadn't made a mistake by allowing him entrance. But, he didn't let worry consume him. The sloth pulled up a chair and plopped down on it, feeling that he had earned himself a break.

oOMeepmasterOo Finally at the village, Orico looked back and called out to Hoburo, "Hurry up!" (Hey, you still exist! I fought you had abandoned this!) "This is as far as I go, Orico." said Hoburo with a smile. "I believe a handful of shinobi are stationed at the village(as in the thread) and they'd be more then happy to meet you. It has been an honor escorting you." said Hoburo with a bow.
