Station-shields were impressive things, able to withstand quite a few direct hits. Still, things were shaking badly and taking a beating. The gases that had been released had only been let out in key compartments to kill any meatbags Tegral had on board, the rest of the station was clear. The bulk of the Cradle weaponry turned on the charging vessel, the fighter-wings whirling to unleash their payloads on the propulsion systems. After that, it'd just be a matter of the heavy station guns tearing apart the drifting metal.
The remaining Tegral units floating in space would return in whatever methods were available, using enemy fighters if need be and hard-landing into bays. Rerouting power systems to activate transporters, and the like. The drones on board the Cradle would attempt to hold back the attacking designs long enough for the sonic cannons to start dispersing the nimble blade-wielders.
In one bay, a group of fighters slid into their mechs with a round of applause, each suit powering up swiftly.
"Tegral. Take your project with you to the surface. You have a party to attend. I'll make sure the two of you get there in one piece." He answered, even as the comm chatter cut closed and allowed him the peace of a soft tune. Something he could listen to while he waited with his beloved.
The Hive AI meanwhile switched the fighter drones to core programming, causing for their basic Friend or Foe scanners to come online. This simpler style took away some of their finesse, but they still had considerable numbers. The Hive mind itself would rapidly disengage itself physically, dumping stored memory into numerous different shells which stirred to life.

"Towel and clothes over there." Tegral said, flicking his hand in a directional gesture towards the plastic crinkled atop the chair. It had occurred to him to close the vents, to prevent KB from flooding the room with his plagues, but if the sick maniac had wanted to do it he would have done it already. "You'd best be quick about it though, it seems it's a bad time to be aboard the Cradle." Without specifying why Tegral seemed to try and gaze through a bulk head, his own dark blue eyes fixated on something unable to be seen.
"SARAH? Disable com systems and find me a secured route to the closest hangar bay, preferably one that can still maintain organic life forms. Designated the closest Z-24 units as Kaiori's guards and see if you can't find me a god damned body to work with!" Tegral's unvocalized instructions reached deep into SARAH's inner most levels of thoughts and without missing a beat in her systematic slaughter of the Hive queen and her functions, so far the queen had done nothing to retaliate against the intruding AI which left her free to rip coding to shreds, command modules reduced to worthless husks of metal. Nahil had been quite a bit busier! With the queen's method of switching the drone units over to a personal FoF programming it made it all the more difficult to turn the units on each other. So he did what he 'thought' best. He hurled himself at the diagnostic section of the bridge, trying to slash and hack with claws of cybernetic data. The plan was to confuse the logistics center so much that it gave Nahil the chance to slip in and designate friends from foes to his will. That of course would take time to do, as well as correct if he managed to do it.
G.F.N Iron Horn and the pair of battle ships looming against the stars, the G.F.N. Piercer had a long black streak across it's starboard hull where a concentrated energy cannon managed to score a near direct hit before the ship's basic AI flipped it to combat mode with combat screens active, then once the shields were up it was more or less immune for a time against the station's weapons, had departed the battle field some time ago. Not because of any cowed reasons, but because the three captains knew for a fact they'd never crack that shield at the rate they were going. Dreadful mourn hovered aboard each ship as the stars grew hotter, the blood of each crew member boiling and vowing revenge. The fleet amongst the stars danced KB's waltz and was finished.

The clothes Kaiori were putting on were a rather flattering evening dress. Black and shimmering the fabric held snug to each curve of the woman's frame with a split that ran clear up to her hip. A dress, he'd figured, he was going to have Kah wear to the formal affair as his 'date' but Kaiori and she both had very near similar specs so aside from being a bit snug in the bust it would fit the queen perfectly. "Yes," He muttered, "Just peachy. Come on, we're going to get you back to your family."
Checking for proper atmospheric conditions on the other side of the door, most functions of his links were gone and cut off but because of the personal AI, SARAH, and Nahil's attacking of the inner working of the station he was still able to manage by with basic non-threatening workings. Everything checked fine so he punched some keys, opened the hatch, and stared at a pair of Z-24's blocking the hallway, a trio of personalized Tegral units with their massive plasma cannons in place of the sonic cannon. Nice.
