I'm left wondering why Gendou let himself be seen to the Kamrin. Did he not realize they were there? Did he think they weren't a threat? Did he assume they were still prisoners and thus wouldn't tell the Legion? Or more likely, did he just want to ******** with them all?
I agree with everyone else, though. Ananel coins the best lines.

AWWW! Weston's so sad. *waves* It's okay! I'm safe. -Ish. He hasn't made me his evil zombie minion yet, and other than that one time, he hasn't pulled me through the dark place anymore, so it's oookay! gonk heart
I seem to have slightly higher WIS in this particular universe than I usually do. I can see how it would go otherwise...

I can't believe I didn't know this existed until yesterday. When Gendou told me. It's so embarrassing. redface
I love how everyone is included and yet the characterizations aren't blending together, which makes the reveals you're putting in for who is which character work even better. Though I gotta say, I wasn't expecting what happens in chapter 12! whee heart
Mine is an evil laugh! MWAHAHAHAHA!
The relationships aren't being stressed to the point of melodrama, which is nice, since the Gendou/Rue stuff (for example) could so easily become that. The same thing goes for the inner monologues - they work great and avoid being overbearing and unbalancing everything. And have I mentioned that I love the characterization? Because I do.
Basically this rocks, Gendou. 3nodding

We're screewwweeeed! Screwed! I'm not going to get redundant in my commentary (since what I've said before still holds true now), except to say that you're doing a brilliant job. Also, I'm very impressed with the rate at which you're writing this thing. A chapter a night is pretty fast. 3nodding
