Genno, perplexed by Zaan's action but determined to not let it show, calmly asks why they stopped. He looks about for other beings, but it seems that they are the only two living things in the room. He hopes his friends at the foot of the stairs are still okay.

"I need to clear the way." Zaan pulls a small ruby from a pocket in his robe and squeezes it. A beam of light shoots from it, illuminating a symbol on the door. The symbol. a circle with an arrow pointing diagonally upward enclosing a square, glows briefly before an audible click can be heard. Then he turns to his companion. "Your friends will be fine. They are, for now, under my protection. No harm will befall them."

Genno watched with childlike admiration as the door opens. He then stops dead. "How'd you know I was worried about them?" he asked.
Prob'ly just observation... any moron could figure that much out through watching us walk in together.

"Hold." He disappears from sight again and opens the door. Immediately, a man jumps out, only to have his throat cut. Reappearing, Zaan chuckles. "Broadcasting, indeed."

Genno looks at Zaan with a hint of jealousy He may be stronger than me... but there is a way to find out... I just don't think I'll like finding it out...
He glaces around. "So where is Hideki?"

Zaan smiles but studiously ignores Genno's last thought. "Through this hallway, up the stairs and through the "death maze," as Hideki calls it. Basic traps. Any ninja could outdo them." Then Zaan notices Kabuto. "Friend of yours Genno?"

Kabuto begins to think that Zaan is a no good show off but then remembers that Zaan is telepathic and stops thinking(if thats even possible)."Hey wait, nobody answered my question and I don't get some answers I am gonna knock some skulls."
