Louve looked from Lazenca to Twitch and then back to Laz. After a few seconds, she turned and trotted off down the street. She would leave the two to talk and catch up while she explored her new surroundings. She wasn't entirely sure that was a good idea though. A huge wolf walking down the street wasn't something that was seen everyday. She hoped no one called animal control.

Louve parted their company, and she waved. When the three of them were alone, Twitch elbowed Lazenca.

"She's nice, but she's no fun, walking away like that. We're one big, happy family." Her hands then went behind her head, and she eyed Lazenca.

"So what, have you forgotton about me already? I wanted you to move on, but this is so... hmm. Finding you two as you were out there. Are you going to free her, and give her what you couldn't give me? Is she me?"

Lazenca frowned very, very deeply. "For a Goddess, you're damn insensitive, Twitch." He backed up from the two of them. He knew that it was her nature to just ask those sort of questions flatly- he'd picked up the trait from her, but he thought that some things would be left alone.

"You aren't Louveteau, and she's not you. It's not my fault... the Upper Gods wanted you so you could Fall. I'm over that... I'm over your dying in my arms. But don't question my motives like that... please. Losing you like that... I snapped." He sighed.

"I've never fully recovered, I'm worried that I'll hit Alpha Shift again, with Reiko doing what he did... but..." He shook his head. "This isn't a hero syndrome. It's that little, unknown thing called 'love.'"

"Hey, miss wolf!"

A cute little girl was running down the street. "Miss wolf!" She was wearing a cute little blue dress with cute little black ribbons in her prettiful platinum blonde hair. She also had black sandals, and her eyes were the same blue as her dress. "Miss wolf!" The girl, she was running after Louve as if she knew her. Only, that was pretty improbable. Still, there weren't a thousand "miss wolf" in the streets at this time.

"Wait for me, miss wolf!"

Louve stopped in her tracks, turning to look at whoever it was that was apparently calling out to her. Her eyes came to rest on a young child, she was a rather pretty little girl. Sitting back on her haunches, she waited for the child to catch up to her.

Louve could feel the eyes on her as she sat silently the street. She was drawing quite a bit of attention to herself, a larger than average wolf in the middle of a town, and apparently with no handler in sight. Mothers pulled their children close and called them in out of the street. As the strange young child drew closer to her, she could sense bystanders growing tense.

"Can you speak, miss wolf?"

The young girl didn't seem to be scared at all, even though the wolf was as tall as her, if not taller. For a moment, the girl fumbled through her robes, looking for something.

"A nice mister promised me candies if I gave something for a big wolf that speaks ... I hope I didn't lose the so-- ah, there it is."

With a big great smile and big great eyes that reeked of cuteness, the child produced a small square of blue cloth and held it high in front of her with both hands. If Louve didn't rememeber the shirt from which that piece of cloth was removed, she will surely remember the smell that was all ove rit. The smell of water, with a hint of something darker in it ...

"Are you miss wolf? The nice mister asked me to show this to you, and then to tell you word for word ..." A moment passed as she tried remembering. "'Go to Bass'ken lake.'" And a greater smile. Obviously, the girl was proud of her work.

Twitch laughed, then walked to Lazenca, going into her pocket. She pulled out another chain and amulet, exactly as the one that Reiko crushed in the fight. "Ever the worrier, hon... don't worry. I believe you. And I'm happy for you. I want you to give her what you couldn't give to me."

She put her hands around his neck and tied the leather strap to his neck. "There you go. Don't lose this one; they're out of production." She then stepped back from Lazenca. "So with that done, I think we'll go now... I want to make sure that Vahn and Enki are alright. If they weren't Upper Gods, I swear..."

Louve yawned as she leaned forward to sniff at the cloth, the scent was familair alright and she recognized it. However, at the exact moment that she leaned forward while yawning, several nearby women shrieked in fright. Louve heard some men shouting and she drew back quickly to look around. Apparently, she had made a wrong move. To the townspeople, it had appeared as if she were going to attack the girl.

The wolf growled softly in annoyance. Always the Big Bad Wolf to humans. "Thank you..." She spoke and moved quickly, snatching the piece of cloth from the girl's hand as she darted past her, back towards where she had left Lazenca. Louve didn't make it very far in that direction as several moved to block her path, gardening tools in hand.

Louve turned on her heels and darted back past the little girl, this time, no one was fast enough to block her retreat as she slipped between two burly farmers with pitchforks. She could already hear men shouting out orders to catch her and get guns, to call animal control.

Running full tilt now, Louve made her way down the street, the mob following behind her. She was safe as long as they couldn't catch her, at least, that's what she thought until she heard the report of the rifle and watched as a bits of the street flew up in front of her where a bullet had flown past her. Louve stumbled to the side in surprise, nearly losing her balance. More shots followed as Louve tried to avoid being hit.

"He's waiting ..."

A grin crept up on the girl's face. One that wasn't a five years old child's. Still, no one had much time to worry about the creepy smirk, because the young girl's frail brody broke apart in many pieces, pieces all of ice made, that broke into smaller pieces until she was nothing but snow that drifted away in the wind.

The passerby just stared. One of them whispered something along the lines of "Holy Hell". The irony was lost on many.

The light which streamed through the window passed through the liquid in the bulbous glass as well. The colour of the wine itself was not too dark, yet it was not too light, a perfect colour, and as he swirled the liquid in its container, he watched the wine's legs move down the side of the glass. He brought it to his face and sniffed the liquid before swirling it again, looking around the tavern he was in. Again, he sniffed it, and not yet satisfied, he began to swirl the substance yet again, letting it airate and release its flavours, unlike so many others who drank the stuff down so quickly, he knew how to appreciate such a drink.

Turriens sat down at a small table somewhere in the middle of the tavern, his booted feet propped up on the wooden table's surface as he leaned back on his chair, making it stand on two legs as he rocked lightly back and forth. "Cheers!" he said though his teeth with a slight nod, his face lined with a crooked grin, as he held up his glass of fine elven wine, tipping it only a little bit forward as the barmaid went by, after yet another time spent swirling and smelling the wine.

Sipping a little bit of the substance, the swashbuckler pushed it around in his mouth, letting it touch all parts of his pallet and shock his taste buds before swallowing it. Following such an action, he sipped a bit more of the liquid from the round glass, this time, tasting the wine for real, as the first initial sip was only to prepare his mouth and tongue for the tasting. And then he decided: It was a good drink.

Dressed in his swashbuckling attire of a beat up leather long coat with a sash wrapping around that at his waist, his boots propped up at the edge of the table, and that large plumed hat on his head, one who had never met him would think he was someone important, or at least highly civilised to go through a wine tasting process in his adventurous get-up and the way he seemed like he knew what he was doing. Well, truth be told, the swashbuckler extrordinaire was indeed rather civilised, having been taught etiquette, though in other more mundane things he was not as bright.

As he finished the glass, he kicked off the table and swung forward so that he didnt fall backwards and land on his head. Placing the empty glass on the table, he watched the residual alcoholic liquid slide down the sides of the interior and collect at the bottom before he grabbed the leather pack at his side and slung it over his shoulder. Dropping a few gold coins on the table as a tip, Turriens headed for the exit.

Door swinging open soundlessly and a flare of bright light, the swashbuckler stepped into the afternoon street, his large hat making him stand out from the rest of the crowd from a bird's eye view. Only a few minutes spent in the tavern and walking away from the docks did he then wonder when such a mission would start, or even if they knew how to contact him when it would begin. SO with that in mind, he turned towards the direction of the docks and stepped forward, one foot at a time as the fresh salty breeze of the ocean air blew towards him.

He still frowned as he let her put the charm around his neck. "You're bothersome, but we all loved you like that, anyway." He straightened when it was on and looked down to it... it looked like an upside-down flame.

"Hey, Twitch... thanks. Before you go, there's one more thing. I'm trying to see if I can increase my skills, you know... and I remember reading that Pureblood Esterians use mediums and text to control more energy than their body can take. I don't use a weapon other than my body, so I was thinking... a tattoo? Something connected to my claws, as I want to use my hands to control the energy and not a sword or something. Do you think you can--"

Lazenca turned slowly to the sound of shouting coming from the town. It was faint, but there. But then, the gunshots... they made him jump instinctively, as he hated firearms and didn't want to be in the path of anything they threw. The shouts became louder, and he could make them out... catch the b***h? don't let the wolf get away? Twitch and Wolfgang were left without a word of parting as Lazenca spun and shifted to Negative, going to intercept Louve and aid her excape.

He didn't have far to go, and as another gunshot hit the air, he did what he knew he could- setting his eyes just behind a point Louve was passing, an ice wall began to construct itself in pieces, widening and growing thick enough that a gunshot wouldn't simply crash through it. Men could hit and slide against it, he didn't care, but he wanted to make sure Louve wasn't shot on the way out.

Shots flew off all around her and she could hear the men shouting. People were so quick to jump to conclusions. At least they couldn't aim. Again, she thought too soon. A burning pain in her right shoulder as she stumbled again and fell to the ground, yelping, blood seeping from the wound. One of them had actually managed to hit her. The wound wasn't deep and it was a clean one, but it hurt. 'Son of a...' she cursed.

In the time it had take her to get back on her feet and start running again, her teeth clamped down tightly on the cloth in an attempt to ignore the pain, one of the men had managed to take good aim and fired. The bullet from his rifle headed straight for the back of her head. She was dead, or she would have been, if Laz hadn't interfered.

The ice wall rose just in time to stop the bullet. The mob shouted in frustration as they split into several groups to find a way around the obstical that had cut them off.

Louve paused long enough to find out why the people had stopped and seeing the ice, knew that Laz must have been nearby. Limping just a bit, she turned down the nearest alley, slipping into the shadows.

They would be hard pressed to find a way around it, because he continued to widen it until it held up a considerable part of the street. Only when he noted Louve not seeing him for her own injury and she slunk into the alley did he follow. He was wary of anybody who was making their way around the ice. He was considerably larger, and they may be turned to track him. So, he shifted back to Transitional and walked before any of the shooters could see him as a wolf.

But what of the other witnesses to the transformation? He didn't think about them.. he only walked forward until he was able to follow down the same alley she did. "Louve? Don't worry, it's me." Her blood trail would soon become apparent if she moved again. He couldn't ask her to shift homid, because she'd be nude, and he didn't have more clothes to just give her.

"Rest easy... stay hidden. Let the men pass before we head out- I really don't want to fight them, but I hate guns."

Louve let out a huff. She was sitting in the shadows, licking her wound. "Had to send a child... just had to be a kid..." She growled softly. "I'm gonna bite his a** next time I see him..."

"What? Who are you talking about... what happened to start all of this?" He leaned down beside her, not touching because he didn't want to worsen her injury. "Hnn, I can't take bullets out... and I don't know anyone who can. You need to see a doctor, but not here... or at least, like this. I think..."

Lazenca sighed. He could just give her his clothes, but he was too large... she'd have to hold the pants up, the the shirt would be terribly oversized. Still, it was better than nothing. "Maybe if you can walk around as a human, you'll be able to see someone about getting that pulled out. It'll hurt quite a bit if I try. Do you want my clothes, so you can go looking? I'll... do something, stalk around and try not to attract attention."

Because oversized werewolves never attract attention, especially in the middle of wolf hunts.
