 "Your kidnapper apparantely," Felix sighed, completely exasperated. In a few quick steps, she collapsed back into her chair, "Well this is akward," she mumbled after awhile, sitting forward and punching a few keys into the computer screen."Here I was, getting ready to interrogate you and you're "associates" downstairs for shooting MY friend...and you have NOTHING to do with them at all...or so you say."
Punching a few keys into her keyboard, Felix brought up a translucent screen that showed the two men hanging around downstairs. "I'm Felix by the way," she said, "And these two men are on my death list.

"Aright Felix, what exactly did those two do to get on your death list?" He smiled again, regaining the confidence he had shown earlier. He sat in a spare lab stool, hands in his pockets and one leg swung over the other. "Might it have had something to do with the blood that I saw on the ground outside? Maybe they were told to do it. It might not have been their choice." He was still smiling. He had brought his gun. This might be a less constricting situation than he had thought it was. There were only two distinct flaws in that. He hated hurting people, and he was even beginning to be fond of the girl. She amused him, in a strange sense. He wanted to know how the men had hurt her. Aw damn, I'm involved again. James, you're insane. Just when you say you're running from the violence and the hits, you're right back in here with what might as well be Eddie's secret twin discussing who tried to kill someone. God James, just shoot her and walk away right now.
Or stay here and help out. You're good at it.
Or kill her and get what you wanted in the first place.
But she's kinda' cool. I like her.
This. Is. What. You. Were. Running. From.
He rested his head against his hand, closing his eyes. He was incapable of getting out of these things. He wondered why he was doing this to himself, but he thought of the blood in the snow, and Felix, his apparent kidnapper, and he couldn't kill her. He didn't like to kill people. That was what cronies were for.

Cocking her head to one side, Felix looked at the man, a little confused. He asks me these questions, acting like he understands what's going on...and then he pretends to fall asleep?
"It's funny...," Felix said after a few moments of watching the man "sleep", "I'm holding you captive, and here you are expecting me to spill my guts to you...Why don't you tell me you're name first, so I'm not confessing to a complete stranger?"
His attitude... Felix thought to herself with a smile, He seems almost as cocky as I am! As if to prove, that she was indeed the proudest and most confident of the two, Felix leaned back in her chair and propped her two legs up on the table. However, her heels hit some random keys on one of her keyboards, and another small screen appeared, displaying random information about the equipment in the room. A little embarassed, Felix quickly brought her feet back to the ground, and shut off the screens. "I'm normally, much cooler than this...promise." she laughed.

Daren sat there completely bewildered; a man came out of nowhere and landed on his a**. He didn’t know the man and wasn’t able to think clearly yet because of the cold. At least he had gotten his freezing clothes off despite his stark nakedness the only thing he could do about that was accept the fact that he had no clothes on and deal with it.
It took a minute before he realized that there was also another man watching him and Draven. It surprised him that he hadn’t noticed earlier but once again he wasn’t thinking clearly due to the cold, although he couldn’t keep blaming the cold for long. He couldn’t even really blame it because it had been his idea to remove his jacket and shirt. Looking up at Craig and said, ”Could you get us each a blanket or get someone to get each of us a blanket? I’m still bloody freezing and being naked with nothing to help keep me warm doesn’t help much”, his tone was flat and had an edge to it as he spoke; he was also still visibly shivering, it was obvious that he wasn’t getting much warmer, just that he was less cold.

Craig looked down at Daren, his dark blue eyes showed seriousness, unlike his usually playful nature. “A blanket?” He scoffed, “You aren’t going to die anymore, I think you can suffer through a little bit of cold.” Craig was actually quite surprised that these men were still living, considering what they had apparently done to Izzy. Knowing Kyrin and Felix, he would have thought they’d be hiding the bodies by this time. But Ky doesn’t really like to be violent, she just talks big. He thought as he looked over the men again. He wondered how it felt to them to be being held captive and have no clothes on. He laughed internally at their misfortune.
Kyrin reached her room and didn’t know what to think anymore. Her friend was being operated on and she had to men captive in her living room? Sighing, she slipped off her wet clothes and pulled through her drawers to find something warm. Settling on dark jeans and a too big sweater, she grabbed a towel and dried off her hair. When her hair wasn’t dripping wet anymore, she noticed that Felix had turned on the mansions heater, At least she did that. Kyrin thought. Her adrenaline had begun to wear off and the cold was still something she didn’t very well like.
Looking around her room, she noticed Osiris sleeping on the bed. Good boy. She thought as she reached over and stroked his back. He woke and looked at her sleepily through golden eyes. She lifted him and decided to bring him downstairs, Maybe when Izzy wakes up, she’ll like to cuddle him. Holding the panther by her face, she noticed his warmth and a small smile crossed her lips. “Come on Sai, we’re going to see Izzy.” She said softly.

"James. I'm James." He laughed slightly. "And I have no expectations of you spilling your intestines, just the story behind the blood in the snow, and what you believed, and might still believe was my involvement in this whole violent mess." He shifted, placing one leg on the ground and leaving the other raised on the middle rung around the legs of the lab stool. He rested his elbows across the raised leg, surrepticiously (sp?) feeling for his gun, curling his hand around it as if anticipating its need. He had yet to deicde if this was something he was willing to go through again. "And why is there a naked man in the living room?" By this he seemed a tad more interested than perplexed.

Draven let a growl escape his lips, he certainly didn’t like the point that he was naked and sitting somewhere that he couldn’t leave, but with no better alternatives he would have to go with the flow until a chance to escape arose, “You, the perverted watcher, how’s the girl?” Draven said, the ill contempt towards Craig pouring freely. Draven’s muscled form flexed as he heard the man answer Darens request. “Damn you”, he thought, his eyes still glowing with rage, “Why Daren…Why the gun…”, the man simply turned to face Craig and lifted his head high daring the man to do anything to him.

Craig, who’d been examining the tips of his hair, looked over at Draven. Perverted watcher? He thought, He must not be very old to be saying crap like that He held Draven’s eyes for a moment longer before going back to looking at his hair. He didn’t care for the childish nature he saw in the man. He thinks far to highly of himself. Craig thought, breaking off a spilt end he’d found. I need a hair cut, Was his next thought before he looked at his watch. The boy should be almost done by now. Craig wanted to go see Izzy, but he knew Kyrin would feel a lot better sitting in with her friend then watching two overly dramatic naked me, so he stayed at his post.

Draven, having quite enough of the waiting game stood and gave Craig a seething glare and grabbed his wet pants and pulled them on. He then went to walk out of the room, no longer caring to wait for a reply from a man who obviously wasn’t going to say anything. Draven made sure to push his shoulder into Craig as he walked past.

Felix raised an eyebrow, "Naked?" she asked, kicking herself for not studying her monitoring screens better. Her lips curled back into a mischievous smile as she quickly typed in the command to bring up the living room screen. "This I gotta see...," she mumbled, punching in a few more codes to enlarge the screen for James viewing pleasure as well.
As soon as the translucent screen popped up, Felix froze on the spot. "Well, what do ya know..." she said after a few moments, "Craig's in a room with a naked guy...that's...akward!" Tilting her head back, Felix burst into a fit of laughter that almost knocked her out of her chair.
"Ok...so...ok..so this guy is..." Felix said through her giggles, "I mean...you must think I'm crazy...A-and I promise that I'll explain...B-but..this is just too PERFECT!!"

"Oh its quite alright." James himself laughed, "Everyone wants to watch something like this take place." He stood behind Felix to get a better view of the ongoing struggle between Draven and Craig. "I mean, it is a naked man and a very attractive one in a very compromising situation with one another. Why would I think you're crazy, besides the fact that you seem to be hesitant to tell me how I could possibly be involved in this fiasco?" He smiled fanitly, leaning forward to view the mess on the viewing screen over Felix's shoulder.

The term "fiasco" sombered Felix up a bit, as the memories of the past hour came flooding back to her mind. James seemed like a pretty "ok" guy to Felix, so far, and for some odd reason she found herself oddly happy around the man. However, no matter how much Felix would have liked to just sit up and laugh with the newcomer about the naked man in the living room, she had a job to do.
I'll just find out about him the old fashion way for now... she thought to herself, hanging her head a bit, And...maybe I'll do a more thorough background check later.
"Yeah, about that," Felix sighed, expecting James to be a couple of feet away from her, but instead finding him too close to her face. With a little squeal, Felix rolled her chair away from the man, feeling very awkward and some what flustered.
Get a HOLD of yourself! Felix thought angirly, You're just jumpy because a guy in his position would usually be tied down by now...
Yeah...that's right...
It has nothing to do with his mysterious blue eyes...
Or his smooth voice...

Cursing herself for getting so worked up over a handsome face, Felix got up out of the chair, trying her best to tower over a man who was an inch taller than herself. "It's like this...," she said, trying her best to sound mature, "Not many people come around here, unless they're looking for trouble. My friends and I were going out to buy new furniture, and we found this man on our property." Pointing to Draven's naked figure on the screen as she spoke, Felix began speaking more harshly, "Naturally, we went over to talk to him. Next thing I know, his friend appears out of no where and everyone has a gun in each other's face. Just as my cousin puts down her gun....,"
Her voice choking a bit, Felix bit down hard on her lip, determined not to cry in front of James. Instead, she turned away from him, and looked up at the cieling until she could control her shaking voice. "Just as she puts it down...this...a**hole...shoots...," she said mechanically, pointing to Daren, "...Shoots...my friend...Izzy.
Taking another deep breath, this time, trying to control the anger in her voice, Felix continued. "We don't know," she said, her voice getting a little louder, as her emotions began to leak out, "Where they came from...who they are...or why the hell they're here." She turned to James, looking him up and down, briefly, "We don't even know if they have more friends, hiding out somewhere. The last 'friend' who showed up, shot someone, so I hope you can understand my precautions."

"I understand perfectly well the implications. Is your friend alright, by the way, do you know?" He spoke with some concern, backing up as he noticed his proximity to the girl. She was pretty, quite pretty, and even he could aknowledge that much. He sat back against the table, keeping a careful eye on the boys in the living room. He had decided to help them after all. It interested him. He wanted to help, make sure the one who was shot was alright, and that these two, in various stages of unclothed, were not a threat to anyone in the house. Except maybe each other. Jamie would be amused by watching that. He figured Felix might be as well. "Is there perhaps anything I could do to help out, maybe something that would enable you to check in on your friend?"

Felix smiled crookedly,"That's sweet, but she's already being taken care of by my nephew. He'll send everyone word, when it's ok to visit Izzy." Sighing, Felix collapsed back down into her swivel chair. Propping her arm up on the table, she wrapped a few strands of blue hair around her finger in thought, as she watched the events happening on the monitor. "For the moment, I wouldn't say there was anything you could do to help," she said after a few moments, "Unless you're willing to use that gun of yours on our two new naked best friends...but as I've told my cousin before, I don't feel like wasting favors on hiding these bodies..."
Breaking away from the screen, Felix smiled mischieviously at James, "Not to mention, I don't want to get you too involved...I mean, you just got here, after all." Her green eyes met James's levelly[sp], "But since you are here," she asked intently, Mind telling me why a weary traveler like yourself, is carrying concealed weapons?"

"Well I could believe that the weapon would be quite a necessity in this part of town." He answered, not giving her the entire truth. He didn't want her to know he had been thinking about using the weapon on her. Though that would have been out of necessity rather than out of desire to do so. "That and I'm just so used to carrying it, it would be harmful not to." He shrugged, feeling the gun in his pocket, habit, and he had been talking about it. In truth, the gun in question wasn't even his. He had left his and taken that of one of the people he was running away from, if only to have something of his.
