Eli leaned over and sniffed at the concoction, ears perked forward. "It duz smell nice," he announced, nodding firmly. "An' Coen has a good sniffer. 'E'll wake up and come eat wif us."

He giggled, nodding. "I'm glad you think it smells nice. And yeah, I'm sure he'll wake up to have some. If not, after you're finished, you have my permission to go jump on him and tickle him until he wakes up, so he can have some while it's still hot." He said, giggling. After a few more short minutes he finished cooking it, and got out a couple bowls. He spooned some into a bowl for Eli and handed it to him. "Here you go! Be careful, though, it's still hot," he warned, then spooned some more into two more bowls. If Coen didn't wake up within a few minutes, he had a little plan to wake him up before Eli could torture him.

Eli couldn't believe his ears. He had permission to jump on Coen? That was completely unheard of. Most everybody always told him to cut it out when he started in on the lion. Working hard not to bounce excitedly, Eli would've dug right into the mac & cheese and burned his tongue in his haste had Jazz not warned him. So, instead, the little fox scooped up a forkful and blew on it gently to cool it before shoveling the noodles into his mouth.
As it happened, Coen had caught the delicious scent of macaroni and cheese being made but he was too far gone to react. Instead, he remained on the couch cuddling with the throw pillow and calling it Jazz or Mousie.

Jazz giggled, sensing the little fox's excitement. "Go take it and sit at the table," he said with a giggle. He picked Eli up and set him onto the floor, shooing him towards the table. He picked up one of the bowls of mac and cheese, carrying it into the living room. Spying the slumbering lion on the couch, he held the bowl inches from his face while gently shaking the lion's shoulder. "Coen, wake up. Last time I checked, I wasn't a couch pillow."

Eli was a little disappointed that Jazz wasn't going to allow him to eat up on the countertop but he shuffled over to the table without objection, getting up on tiptoe to put the bowl of macaroni on the table then climbing up into a chair. He watched silently as Jazz left the room, then returned his attention to his food.
Coen's nose twitched at the bowl and he stirred slightly at Jazz's prompting, opening his eyes just a little and grunting sleepily. He was comfy and, as far as he was concerned, he was cuddled up with the mouse in dreamland. Why should he wake up?

"Hmm..." How to wake Coen up? He'd try once more before he would let the little foxchild wake the lion his own way. He set the bowl of macaroni on the nearest flat piece of furniture, then kneeled beside the couch and thought. How should he wake him up..? He got up and pulled the blanket off the slumbering lion while he continued thinking on how to wake him. He couldn't think of anything good, so he got up on the couch and sat on his lower back, and gently shook his shoulders. "Coen, wake up and have some macaroni and cheese! If you don't wake up now, then I'm gonna have Eli come wake you up," he said loudly, hoping the lion would wake up for that. If not, then there wasn't any hope for him.

Coen felt Jazz settle down on top of him and started to purr, enjoying it thoroughly even though the mouse was just sitting there. However, when he heard Jazz say he'd sic Eli on him, Coen woke up immediately, afraid for his life. "No! Don't let Eli get me!" he wailed then looked around shiftily, searching out the foxchild.

"Then have some macaroni and cheese in the kitchen, it's dinner time!" He giggled, carefully getting off the lion's back. He handed Coen his shirt and the bowl of noodles, then trotted into the kitchen to get his own bowl before it got too cold.

Coen narrowed his eyes as Jazz giggled, letting out a little growl. He didn't appreciate being scared like that. He blinked when he found the bowl and his shirt in his hands then he set the macaroni aside and put his shirt on before he got up off the couch, picked the macaroni up again and brought the bowl into the kitchen.
When the lion walked in, Eli looked thoroughly disappointed. He had been hoping Coen wouldn't wake up in time so he could go tickle him until he did.

Jazzy took a few bites of the cheesy noodles, then set his bowl on the counter as he walked to the fridge, opening it. He rummaged through it, picking out a can of soda, then peeked over the top of it so he could at least see Coen and Eli. "What would you guys like to drink?"

Coen, in the process of setting down his bowl and taking a seat, paused and looked up at Jazz. "Uh, I think a can of root beer would be just fine, thanks," he answered then went on with what he was doing.
"I'd like some g'ape juice, p'ease," Eli huffed, still very obviously upset that he wouldn't get to torture Coen. With a baleful glare at the lion, he turned his attention back to his food, shoveling a big forkful into his mouth.

"Okay!" He said happily, rummaging through the fridge for the desired drinks. He picked out Coen's root beer and the grape juice, then stood and closed the door with his foot. He placed Coen's drink near him on the table, then went to the counter and set the grape juice down. He looked around for a glass and, upon finding one and taking it out, poured some grape juice into it for Eli. He picked up the cup and brought it over to the table, setting it near the fox's plate, then returned againt to the counter. Picking up the grape juice, he re-opened the fridge and replaced the juice carton inside, then proceeded to rummage through the fridge for a drink for himself. Once finding a can of soda, he straightened up and closed the door with his foot gently while opening the can. "So, is the mac and cheese good?" He asked before taking a sip of his drink, hoping it was at least decent; mac and cheese wasn't something he made very often.

Coen thanked the mouse again then reached for the root beer and opened it with a pop and a hissss. Without waiting for the foam to go down, he took a sip and wiggled his nose, the popping bubbles tickling it.
Eli gratefully accepted the g'ape juice and took a small sip, his lips puckering from the tartness. With a huge grin he nod-nodded and informed Jazz that the mac and cheese was dee-licious.
Chuckling at his diminutive buddy, Coen agreed enthusiastically, taking another huge bite while his tail twitched to and fro behind him.

He couldn't help but giggle at their reactions. "I'm glad my mac and cheese is approved," he said before finishing off what was left in his bowl, then took a sip of his drink. "Now, what do you boys want for dessert? I think I can make cupcakes, if you want, or I can try and make something else. Any suggestions?" He asked before taking another swig of his soda, his slender tail twitching behind him. He set the can down on the table, then picked up his bowl and set it down by the sink.

For a split second, Coen considered asking if he could have Jazz for dessert but he thought better of it considering their present company. Eli might be young but he was pretty sharp too. Sighing, he shook away the image of the mousie all covered with whip cream, cherries and chocolate sauce then grabbed his and the foxchild's now empty bowls and took them over to the sink.
Elijah weighed his options carefully. Cupcakes sounded quite good but Jazz had offered to make something else if they wanted it. The possibilities seemed endless.. "Ummm... can we have 'nanner splits?" the innocent asked, ears all atwitch.
At the mention of banana splits, the image of Jazz covered in very strategic places with whip cream flashed back into Coen's head, 'causing the lion to blush scarlet. At least, given that he was headed back to his seat, he was facing away from Jazz so the mouse couldn't see it.
