Ebonywhiskers had left his leader with the some cats from the rest of the clan, thinking He will probobly choose a cat with more expirence, I have only had one apprentice, while many others have had three, and Starwhisker has had four. I just... His wish to be deputy would have to wait, no matter who Skystar choose, he would remain loyal to his clan. Not even his formor mentor Tornstar could change that, and no cat ever would. Turning towards the freshkill pile, Ebonywhiskers stopped to listen to Moonstar, hearing that Waterclan was leaving he bowed his head in respect. The cats of Waterclan had given him so much, especially Mosspelt, who had helped deliver Starwhisker's kits. He listened attentivly, then padded over to grab one last mouse to share with Snowystream, she was a honorable deputy, and he admired that.

Nightpaw padded over to Mosspelt. "Do you need any help with anything?" she asked.

"Yes, could you fetch a few traveling herbs from the Medicine Cat den? Just enough for you and Shallowpaw." Mosspelt replied before turning to the rest of the clan and asking,"Could everyone please gather herbs as we walk home? Only in Waterclan territory of corse, but please? I am in desperate need of them, I have no healing herbs left, and I needed more of many others when we left. Please look out for Yarrow, Catmint, Merigold, and Cobwebs especially!" She yowled as the cats began to disperse.

Nightpaw walked off and went to fetch the traveling herbs. She entered the den and quickly spotted the right herbs and grabbed them. She brought them back to Mosspelt, then prepared to leave Moonclan territory.

Shallowpaw awoke to see Skystar talking with Moonheart. She watched Nightpaw dash into the Medicine Cat den and then run back to Mosspelt. Shallowpaw padded over to the fresh kill pile, and grabbed a rabbit big enough for two cats. She caught up with Nightpaw and offered to share one last meal in the Moonclan camp. Sitting down to eat with Nightpaw, her thoughts once again drifted to Icepaw, the one cat that could make her think of changing clans. She didn't realize that every cat could see her far off look, especially Nightpaw, who knew the reason.

Nightpaws ears twitched and she slowly ate some of the rabbit. She knew what and who Shallowpaw was thinking of and was reassured by the fact that Shallowpaw had told her that she wouldn't leave Waterclan. Nightpaw wondered what it would be like to be in love. She shook her head, thinking that would probably never happen to her. She noticed everyone staring at Shallowpaw, and Nightpaw's tail swished from side to side. She nudged Shallowpaw gently. "All the others are staring," she whispered. "We don't want to look suspicious now do we?"

Shallowpaw shook herself and smiled at her best friend,"Thanks, I guess you know what I'm having a fantasy about. It's hard being in a love that my parent's would yowl at me for, mmm, I just wish..." She knew that Nightpaw would understand, she just wanted Icepaw.

Nightpaw rose, and stood beside Shallowpaw. "Let's go look for the herbs that Mosspelt needs," she said softly. "That way we'll be out of camp, and you can daydream while I look and no one can say anything to you."

Shallowpaw turned to her friend, surprised,"Oh Nightpaw, I don't want to trouble you... Come on let's hunt," She added to herself,"Then I can atleast give the pretense of doing something..."

"Yeah! Let's go to the river boarder with Fireclan! Maybe we will see someone... Like Echosong or Icepaw!" She smiled even wider as she wispered his name, happy to finnaly be going home, and to be going closer to Icepaw...

Mosspelt purred her thanks and padded over to the freshkill pile, retreving a huge falcon. She turned and walked back to Moonheart, and offered to share a meal for one last time. Smiling at her friend, she settled down for one last meal with the medicine cat who she would spend many half-moons with, or so she hoped.

Shallowpaw raced to the river, jumping in and swimming straight through the icy waters. She ran the rest of the way to the fireclan boarder, hoping to see him.
